Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

@Aleranicus: Ah, Candaeln is the Iron Rose Knights' base, not the capital. The capital is Aimlenn.

Also um, the raid on the Hillfolk should be winding down pretty far since if it's in full swing it's too "big" for Fanilly not to be somehow managing it and for it not to have been mentioned at all. ^^;

A couple other things: This is a personal setting I've been developing for a while now, so if something isn't mentioned that doesn't mean it isn't fleshed out. I'd like if you asked me for location and organization details before improvising. ^^;

@Raineh Daze: Accepted.
@Aleranicus: Much improved! Though Thaln has both a King and a Queen of equal standing, and there's no organization known as Justicars(though I might have something called that somewhere in the setting now just because Justicar is always a cool word), that's all relatively minor.

I'm glad you cooperated, accepted.
  • Name: Satonaka Kotomi
  • Age: 14
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: "Oh, um, I was just stretching." Unlike the slightly short Ayumi, she's pretty short.
  • Abilities: Kotomi has absolutely no abilities that could be considered out of the ordinary in any respect. She is an absolutely normal girl, who is even considered below average in all physical categories. However, she is very intelligent, and very skilled with technology.
  • Equipment: Kotomi is never without her phone, on which she has numerous applications. The latest of this is a fun little game called Yoma Collection. Kotomi's a little sad it's flown under the radar, though she can't find it in the store any longer strangely enough. Still, it's a fun little game about collecting a fighting force of demons and yokai. Little does she know there's quite a bit more to the game then it appears, and in fact its appearance as a game is rather deceptive...
  • Personality: Kotomi is a shy, yet very sweet-natured and friendly girl. In spite of her shyness, she is also somewhat energetic, especially around her friends. However, it's undeniable that she's also quite easily flustered and embarrassed, and she's exceptionally easy to tease. Sometimes she attempts to turn this around on others, but just how successful this is varies and usually fails. Kotomi is also very polite to others, always using proper honorifics even with her close friends. When she becomes exceptionally excited, she also becomes rather airheaded and forgets what she's doing in favor of focusing on what made her so excited in the first place. In spite of this, she's very intelligent, simply a little ditzy when very excited. Kotomi is very fond of sweets, such as ice cream, crepes, and different types of cakes. Her fondness of these extends both to taste and to how pretty some cakes can be decorated. The appearance can make her eyes shine just as much as the flavor.
  • History: Kotomi was born as a younger sibling, to a fairly average family. Aside from her deep affinity for technology, nothing extraordinary has occurred in her life, at least, not yet. But she recently found a fun little phone game...

She hadn't realized what time it was. Thankfully, there was still a chance to make it.

Tanikawa Ayumi had become quite absorbed by her practice. Her competitive nature wouldn't allow her to be outdone, and part of a method of self-motivation she had given herself was to challenge herself to always do better then her last practice session. The bokken felt even more weightless in her hands as she moved, but at the same time, she hadn't noticed just how much time had passed. Checking her phone, however, swiftly brought her to this realization.

She'd pulled on her coat, wrapped her scarf around her neck, and packed up her bokken before breaking into a sprint. New Years wasn't a time to miss, after all.

It was crowded, too. The shrine was pretty much swarmed with people, and stands where everywhere. As attractive as the stands were, Ayumi was confident that she could check them out later. First she wanted to visit the donation box, then drop off her New Years prayer. After that she had free reign to do whatever she wanted... As she made her way to the line, however, she noticed some shady-looking guy running off to go behind the shrine.

What was with that? It looked pretty suspicious... there was no way she was going to let that stand! Breaking away from the line, she jogged after him, pulling out her bokken as she did and slowing to a halt behind the shrine, and...

Nothing. He wasn't even there. Where had he run off to? Ayumi looked around, frowning. That was just weird. People didn't just disappear, after all. That made this even more shady. Where was this guy hiding that she couldn't see him anymore? She thought she'd seen something really weird, but she couldn't have, right?

... Right? She didn't see skeleton hands grabbing that guy, right?

She didn't buy that for a second.

But when you suddenly feel something grabbing you from behind, you start believing in outlandish things pretty quickly. Before she could turn and try and hit whoever it was with her bokken, letting out a yelp of surprise...

Things went dark.

When Ayumi opened her eyes, she felt a little sore, like she'd been unceremoniously dropped onto some kind of particularly hard surface. As she sat up, she discovered this was pretty accurate. She'd been tossed, on her back, onto the... steps of the shrine? Had... had she been tossed somehow? Was that what happened when she was grabbed? But where was everyone? Ayumi shot to her feet, and one of the first things she spotted was the shady guy she'd seen in the first place.

Before taking in anything about her surroundings, she clutched her bokken and raised one hand to point.

"What did you do?!" she demanded, "And where did everyone go?!"

Ayumi trailed off for a moment. After her kneejerk reaction, she realized that assuming he turned the sky red and made everyone run away was kind of ridiculous.

"... Okay, maybe you didn't do all of this, but running off like that was kind of shady..." the black-haired girl said, looking around to try and understand just what had occurred.
My issues with the bio were discussed thanks to some help from a player, so I'll wait for the edited bio.
Thankfully, the vase was inactive. Nothing happened when Ryuuko placed her hand inside of it.

"I don't think that anything placed inside would be effective, without destroying the vase," Toshiko said, approaching to look the magical object over. "Or hoping he stuck his hand inside of it, I suppose."

Admittedly, she wouldn't exactly have mourned the vase's destruction, if not for the fact that the Daidouji appeared to want it retrieved, and not obliterated. She wasn't exactly keen on the existence of an object that could perform such a thorough draining of mana. To put it simply, the existence of such an object was discomforting to Ando Toshiko.

"He might notice the damaged doorway, as well," she added, giving a glance at Kitty, who let out a huff and looked away. "I think it's possible to trap him rather easily, however."

Toshiko looked around the building.

"There's plenty of places to put traps," she continued, "And I'm assuming that Kitty-san's explosive sigils are still set around the apartment."

"... Can we keep the money he would have given us?" asked Kitty, folding her arms, "This was a stupid waste of time otherwise, and I got stabbed in the foot for nothing if we don't get to keep it."

"... I have to agree with Kitty," Bunny added, "She was hurt because of this job."
@Kuroyomihime: I'm not the GM, but I can confirm there's space.

Edit: Ninja. D:
  • Name: Tanikawa Ayumi
  • Age: 14
  • Race: Hanyou(Raijuu)
  • Appearance: "Scatter to the edge of the storm." She's a bit on the short side for her age.
  • Abilities: Ayumi is largely unaware of her capabilities as a hanyou. From her perspective, she produces an odd amount of static, especially when agitated. What she is unaware of is an enhanced level of durability and healing, as well as greatly increased speed and mildly increased strength. She can also channel and produce electricity, and she is unharmed by it no matter how powerful the shock. With proper application, her ability to manipulate electricity could result in a great deal of possibilities. Ayumi has also been trained in her family's swordplay by her father. Finally she can kick pretty hard.
  • Equipment: Ayumi carries mostly what anyone could expect from a schoolgirl. However, as a weapon, she utilizes an heirloom of her family on her mother's side, a katana known as Raigekimaru. A yokai-forged katana, Raigekimaru is nearly unbreakable and has an extremely sharp cutting edge. However, the main feature it has is its ability to tap into Ayumi's electrical abilities, channeling electricity up through its blade and empowering it.
  • Personality: Ayumi is a highly competitive, energetic girl. Her personality is an aggressive go-getting one, and she is liable to challenge others for relatively frivolous reasons due to her extremely competitive nature. However, she can also be relatively laid-back and friendly towards others and has no issue making friends, even if she can sometimes grow rather annoyed with others for things she sees as foolish or stupid. Ayumi has a strong and enthusiastic sense of justice and a no-nonsense approach towards people she perceives as behaving badly. Unfortunately, this also results in a deeply individualistic mindset: She thinks that she shouldn't get others involved in her problems even if they want to help. She's intensely stubborn about this. In fact, Ayumi's stubbornness is such that she refuses to relent on just about any matter. This contributes to a variety of things, such as how willing she is to challenge others, or how she won't give up in a serious fight no matter how hopeless it might seem. In spite of her stubborn and somewhat tomboyish nature, Ayumi is pretty easily flustered. Also in spite of this nature, Ayumi is fond of decorating her bag and her cell phone in various cute accessories.
  • History: Ayumi, from a young age, was trained by her father in the Tanikawa family's swordplay, known as the Seven Lightning Strikes style. This is something she took pride in, and being trained in such a manner fueled her combative and competitive streak. Throughout her childhood, she has time and time again taken on bullies and stubbornly refused to back down no matter what the situation, even if it seemed a bit foolish to act in such a way. She has also made a habit of challenging others, especially when it comes to kendo. Indeed, Ayumi is fantastic at kendo. However, she has noticed, more and more, that she has been causing static shocks with increasing frequency, especially when annoyed.

Aaah I missed that.

Can you edit that out? The only Captain is Fanilly.
