In Depth Appearance:Dana doesn't cut the type of figure you would expect from the daughter of Ares. She is taller than the average woman, especially one of her ethnicity, standing at around 5'10" and weighing in at 110 pounds. Though every muscle is outlined and taken care of from non-isometric exercise, her natural light weight in proportion to her height gives her a slim, willowy appearance. Dana herself is a pretty girl, with high cheeks, a button nose, and sculpted lips that are usually drawn in an assured half-smile or glancing around inquisitively - an expression that is more common than ever after her move to America. The only uncontrollable part of her appearance is her short chestnut hair, faintly highlighted with crimson, which frames her face in unruly tufts.
Clothing Style:Frankly, it depends on where she is. Having spent most of her life in the rigid Japanese educational system and raised by a mother who made casual elegance her goal, on campus Dana's wardrobe tends to be fashionable and chic. Though not officially a school uniform (and much too relaxed besides,) she will rarely be seen in a class without a monochrome top on underneath a Chanel jacket, a tight skirt and slight heels. When out for a bite to eat, however, her clothing takes a large turn for the rebellious. If she wears a second layer at all, it will be a slim-fitting hoodie with a pocket large enough to stuff two hands and whatever electronic device they're holding inside. She's more likely to be found wearing a backless tank top and slim, tattered jeans, often with an unnecessarily tight red-and-black studded belt and a bracelet of the same color. A pair of casual footwear like TOMS or Keds usually substitutes for heels in cases like this.
It's also worth noticing that, even when dressed up, Dana is not above getting dirty. In case of a fight that sparks up like a wildfire, as so many fights do, her jacket will be effortlessly flung to the dirt and her heels kicked off directly into her adversary's gut. Professionals have no problem fighting barefoot, after all; should she be any different?
Quirks/Oddities/Habits:
* Break Yourself, Gaijin - As the local daughter of Ares, Dana is one of the small handful of goddesses for whom carrying weaponry is not only allowed, but expected. Bowing to the traditional bent of her family, she owns an uchigatana and a scimitar obtained by Ares during his last trip to Arabia. Keeping with the times, she also sleeps with one of her fathers guns inside a false DDR pad - an M1911 pistol specially chambered and modified to fire .454 Casull silver-cored hollow point bullets. In an ideal world post-Olympus, it is Dana's hope that this weapon can be used for piercing the skin of the Nemean lion, blowing the heads off hydras permanently, and playing a game of chicken with a Minotaur.
* Control Issues - Dana often has problems when it comes to ending a shopping spree, often requiring subtle manipulation of those she is around in order to pay for portions of dinners and some of her clothes. Though such money is usually paid back in a timely manner, some knowledge of yen-to-dollar conversion may be necessary in the future.
* Kamikaze! - Dana drives on the opposite side of the road from many Americans.
* Kokoro no Ice - Dana loves playing the quiet game. She has been known to go upwards of four days regularly without saying a word - spending her whole first week at Olympus Academy last year in a relative cone of silence before she spoke her first sentence:

Dana may sometimes say no more three sentences during the duration of a two hour conversation, but the fact that she tends towards aloofness in a conversational setting does not mean she's shy or timid. Rather, the daughter of Ares tends to look at a conversation partner with both hands cupping her chin, watching intensely for something behind the words and speaker. She may also choose to speak solely when it serves to earn her something - the culmination of being the daughter of a trial lawyer and an only child at that - but she's much more used to being straight-talking and frank than she is to manipulating people. If it comes down to that, that's why Dad made her eyes so big and her bottom lip so pouty. Dana's general choice of places to open up more tend to be anywhere where food is being served between two individuals, or on a shopping trip - things that entail both a reward and a chance for intimate conversation, removed from a small group. That said, she does have a quiet fascination with the wide open spaces that surround Olympus Academy, the total lack of hustle and bustle, and America's curious taste in idioms.
Background:
Believe it or not, even Olympians sometimes find themselves in a legal bind. Hermes' early bouts of thievery aside, not one god was taken to task for his or her sphere of influence quite so often as Ares, God of War. The bloodthirsty immortal would often find himself fighting a war with particular zeal and go too far in the eyes of man; in most instances, Zeus would allow Ares to spirit himself away, but once every few centuries the God of War was left to stew in his own hell. It was during one such situation in the last decade of the 20th century when Ares found himself on the wrong side of failed Yakuza interests in Japan, and a Yamaguchi-gumi retained lawyer was tasked to defend him from the investigation that followed. As absurd as it was, Ares followed the trial to completion, and was so impressed by the poise and cool under fire that his attorney displayed - not at all dissimilar to that of a trained elite - that the two soon fathered a child together.
Said resultant seed, Harada Danaye, grew into a quiet, independent girl with a penchant for laissez-faire leadership, but leadership nonetheless, of most group activities within the school. This, coupled with increasingly frequent visits from Ares as she sprouted into adolescence, nurtured the belief in the God of War that perhaps his daughter wasn't cut out to languish alone amongst humans in Japan for the rest of her life, and she found herself directed to Olympus Academy in a new country across the world. Thus far, the experience has proved a healthy one for her, even if it has reinforced some of her more aloof traits.

One of mutual respect and courtesy - though not one of particular familial closeness, Dana strives to do right by her father's honor without falling into a state of bloodlust. Her failures in this regard tend to be a source of amusement for her father, however; whether or not Dana realizes this is unknown.

Kiss Kiss! - The daughter of Ares is not particularly stocky, and though she is adept with several manners of weaponry she doesn't have much natural strength in her slim form. Using this power, Dana's body will react as though it's a phone hooked up to some invisible charger in a fight, channeling her feelings into a healthier source of adrenaline that increases her strength exponentially as her emotions grow hotter in a fight.
Bang Bang! - As stated above, Dana is adept with most manner of weaponry and can amplify their force, turning even improvised projectiles into a weekend in bed groaning. A paper dart jury-rigged to a rubber band may shatter the glass on a classroom door in her hands; any baseball thrown at the back of your head may cause more than a normal hairline fracture; if she ever gets so much as a shotgun in her hands and has reason to point it at you, she may as well be wielding the reincarnated Enola Gay in the palms of her hands.
