Damien's mind was alight with trying to figure out what had happened with his foe. He had to have become possessed by some powerful entity, the personality change and lack of fear clearly showed something had changed. Damien had been tracing attacks on Dallas from summoned creatures and he had traced the beast to the conjurer and where their fight had happened. Now he was certainly not in Dallas anymore and instead was right in the middle of downtown LA. He had only been to California once and it was to San Francisco. He wasn't a fan of Californians, they seemed snobby and entitled elitist to him.

He looked around as some of the people stared at him shocked and curiously thanks to his sudden appearance. He decided to start walking and find an alleyway to slip into. He quickly found one and hurried down it. Once he was sure that he was hidden from the prying eyes of the public he cast his disguise spell and his appearance changed from his demonic form to a casual look. He short red hair and bright green eyes and his robes were now pants and a white shirt with fancy looking black shoes.

The illusion was very detailed and he walked out of the alleyway and blended into the crowded streets of LA. He decided to have a look around before doing anything else, maybe there was a specific reason for him being transported here by the possessed conjurer. LA was huge and the sight of it all was nearly overwhelming. Then the thought of other superheroes being located in the city crossed his mind and he decided that it would probably be a good idea to look for them. He may be able to find his answers when he found them.

Damien dodged the oncoming swipe of claws from a conjured beast and he retaliated with by throwing a fireblast at his foe. The ball of fire engulfed the beast and it gave a cry of agony. The large four legged reptilian creature jumped out of the flames and charged at him with great speed. Damien shot up into the air by propelling him with his fire. Once above the beast he breathed in deep and said the words of his spell.

"Dragon Jet!" he breathed out a jet of flames that shot straight at the beast and then it exploded upon impact with the beast. The creature was blasted apart by the jet of flames and Damien smiled at his victory. His eyes then looked around to see who was responsible for the beast's creation. He spotted a hooded man dressed in black robes hurrying away from the scene. Damien flew ahead of the fleeing figure and then dropped down and landed in front of him.

"Going somewhere?" he asked with a smile as his flaming hair burned bright. The man gave him a nervous vibe from his heavy breathing and he could feel his body temperature rising.

"S..stay back demon before I banish you into the abyss!" he heard the hooded figure shout with his voice full of nervousness. Damien knew that this man was bluffing and he laughed.

"Oh please, just give up and I'll make sure you go to jail with just minor burns" he said with a smile and raised his hand as fire started to engulf it. The man said words in a foreign unknown language and shot out his hand and fired a bolt bright blue lightning. Damien only had a split moment to react and he unleashed a massive blast of fire. The ball of flames met the lightning bolt and an explosion immediately followed. Damien was knocked off of his feet and he fell onto his back hard.

As the clouds of smoke started to clear he slowly got back to his feet and his his fire senses picked up on his foe's internal heat and soon the smoke was gone and he saw his foe standing on his feet with his robes burned from the explosion.

"Are you ready to give up? This is just getting ridiculous" Damien said with a roll of his eyes.

"Your arrogance will be your undoing spawn of Haelm." Damien was taken a bit by surprised at the sudden change in the man's voice. It was very deep and sounded inhuman and upon taking a closer look he saw that the man's eyes were pitch black with no pupils or irises visible.

"Who or what are you?" Damien asked and the robed man laughed maniacally.

"Ignorant fool. Maybe someday you'll find out, but for now I think I'll send you on a little trip. Farewell worm!" the man declared and then cast a spell that Damien did not recognize. In an instant Damien felt his entire body become racked with intense pain as he was pulled into a black vortex and disappeared from the outskirts of Dallas.

After a moment of pure agony Damien found him lying face first on a sidewalk with people giving gasps and cries of fright. He got up and looked around to figure where he had been sent to. He was in a city, but didn't which one until he saw signs that showed that who whatever that robed man was had magically transported him from Texas to Los Angeles California.

Damien could still feel a bit of the pain all over his body and he grunted trying to steady himself. It was an experience that he didn't want to have to feel again, but now he had figure what his next move was. LA was a long away from home.

Personality: Due to his demonic heritage, Damien has a fiery temper and can very impulsive and rash when it comes to decision making. Damien views himself as a staunch individualist and a genuine disdain for people who constantly look to others to help them. For Damien any acts of heroics on his part is because of his own objective idea of justice. Many have referred to Damien as an objectivist and he has a general disdain for government authority.

Damien prefers to live life on the edge and isn't afraid to go head on into a dangerous situations with little fear. Having the blood of a fire demon inside him means that the urge for chaos and destruction burns deeply within him. He uses vigilantism to help keep his demonic impulses under control since most people don't care if he makes criminals suffer.

He also has a cocky side that will show up if he feels that his power is greater than that of his enemies and will toy around with them, which can leave him open to making mistakes and surprise attacks. Damien is also very tenacious and will make sure to take down as many foes as he can before he goes down and he is not afraid to turn the battlefield into a flaming inferno if he feels that he has to in order to come out on top.

Backstory/Origin: Damien's father was a fire demon by the name of Haelm, who was spawned from the Realm of Conception and was revered for his great strength among ancient cultures. When the modern world came about his name became obscure and only remembered by those who practiced the occult. One day a cult of demon worshipers wanted to be given the power of the Demon Fire burning within Haelm and they performed a summoning ritual bring him to the material plane.

Once summoned Haelm offered them power by having one of their female members sire him a child who would have powers beyond any normal human. Damien's mother was the first to agree to the proposal and through their courtship Damien was born. He was raised within the cult who sought to use him as a weapon and this included his own mother. They taught him how cast spells of fire and destruction and made plans to use his abilities to seize power and live like kings and queens. But like with fire Damien was a fiery independent spirit and hated being controlled, he was his own person.

When he was 14 he decided that he had enough of the cult and his mother and left them, but not without having to show his incredible power by scorching a few of them who tried to stop him. After he left the cult his father appeared before him and explained to him that he was destined to help bring about the end of the world. Damien told his father that knowing this wouldn't stop him from living his life how he saw fit and simply turned away and went on with his life.

Thanks to having amazing gifts, Damien was able to find work as a mercenary when not doing the occasional act of heroics on the side and it helped channel his desire for destruction. He took the alias Hellhound, which became a widely renown name thanks to his year of mercenary work and vigilantism.

fire Magic: Since Damien is half fire demon he has access to a powerful form of fire magic granted to him through his demonic heritage. Because of this he has a natural affinity for fire based spells.

Flight: He can fly through the use of jets of flames that propel him through the air like a jet engine.

Flame Beasts: Damien can summon hellish beasts made out of fire that attack his foes. Summoning one doesn't take too much magic, but the more he summons the more magic he drains from his body, which can lead to fatigue.

Fireblast: This offensive spell creates a large ball that Damien fires out of his hands and tries to engulf his foes. The size of this attack is determined by how much magic he puts into it.

Dragon Jet: Damien breathes out a jet of flames that explodes upon contact with his target. The power of this spell is determined by how much magic is used.

Inferno Wall: This spell allows Damien to create a wall of flames that he can use as both a offensive and defensive technique. The size of the wall can vary depending on the amount of magical energy put into.

Meteor Storm: Damien creates a glowing red demonic pentagram and balls of fire shoot out of it in rapid succession. He can have the pentagram appear above his foes and rain fire down upon them and he can have the pentagram appear in front of him to attack his opponents head on.

Eruption: He unleashes a fiery explosion from his body and can vary the radius depending on the power put into it.

Disguise Spell: Damien's demonic heritage allows him to use a disguise spell, which he uses to keep a low profile and blend in with normal people.

Affiliations: His hero identity is a symbol of faith and pride for the Roman Catholic Church, and Gabriel is very devoted to his faith.

Occupation: carpenter

Appearance: Gabriel is 6.4 feet tall and well built for a human being. He has short blond hair and bright blue eyes. Most of his clothing is of modest design such as white shirts and trousers. He also wears black shoes and socks. When Gabriel becomes St Michael, he grows glowing angel wings and his costume is that of a battle ready angel with armor that offers protection against evil attacks. Over his chest plate, he wears a white tunic with a Catholic holy cross on it. His hair grows to medium size and his eyes glow, his muscles also become more defined.

Powers: Gabriel's powers stem from God and the power that all angels and saints share. When he wants to become St Michael, Gabriel says these words in Latin, "In name of the father, the son and the holy spirit, St Michael the archangel, I wish to become thee." His powers draw from the power of faith and the seven virtues, meaning that the more fateful people are, the more powerful they become. This power gives him high-speed flight and enhanced strength, and several others. Each of them are in someway related to aspects of the Catholic Church, they are as followed.

Confession: This power allows him to force enemies to tell the truth, but it does require eye contact to do so and it can be resisted by those with a very strong will and powerful black arts. The strength of Gabriel's Confession is determined by how strong his will is, but there is a danger to making stronger, if it becomes too powerful it can cause mental harm whoever he using it on. The power does not work on divine or extremely powerful spiritual beings.

Purification: This ability allows Gabriel to ether drain evil energy from an area or act as a sort of healing ability to heal those who have been effected by evil. Although it can heal people effected by dark powers, it doesn't work well with healing regular wounds and it is much harder to heal beings who are directly influenced by powerful evil entities. This power can also be used to shoot beams of holy light to hurt demons.

Damnation: This power gives Gabriel the ability to cause large amounts of destruction if he wishes it. Damnation allows him to create powerful blasts of fire and brimstone to send at his enemies. He can also shoot holy lightning from his hands which only harms those who commit sin or are evil. Despite this abilities great power, if Gabriel uses i too frequently then he can become drained of his divine energy and thus made weaker.

Skills: Great amount of knowledge, excellent swordsmen, very skilled with his hands and extremely literate.

Equipment/Resources: His armor is made to protect him against demonic attack and the black arts. Finally he has a sword with a blade made of pure flames that he can only wield and if anyone tries to use the sword then they will be burned by it.

Weaknesses: Things made of iron can hurt him more easily than most other objects, and he has almost no special defenses against silver. Silver is almost like his kryptonite in that it will slowly drain him of his powers if he comes into very close proximity to it. Since his powers stem from the God and the seven virtues, if Gabriel succumbs to one of the seven deadly sins then his powers will become weaker. Places where people are of little faith can also make him weaker.

Psychological Profile: Gabriel is very honest and well-mannered, humility is among one of his most prominent characteristic. He is very loyal to his faith, friends and church. Thanks to his Virgo personality it is not easy to anger him, but he really hates those who are prejudiced against the Catholic Church. Like with many born under the Virgo sign, he is very analytical, thoughtful and very good at observing situations around him. He can seem cold to those who do not know him very well, but he does have a heart and feelings, but chooses to show it those closest to him. He is very kind to those in need and will try to help them as much as he can. His sense of helping those less fortunate became even stronger when his powers began to manifest themselves. Growing up catholic made him have the catholic mentality of not always enjoying the things he is given because of those less fortunate in the world.

In terms of politics Gabriel is somewhat conservative in his views of society, and the home. He considers himself an old fashion republican before the modern Teaparty. He believes that the government should be there to help provide safety and proper care for America’s citizens. He fully supports the US constitution, and believes that it is a document that should be followed by every US citizen. He is believer that every person can have a second chance and be redeemed if they show penance for their crimes, but there a few crimes that he cannot always forgive. Gabriel tries to live his life and help people by following the Corporal Works of Mercy and the Spiritual Works of Mercy. He believes that those who have the power to save lives should do it. He is against the fashion and cosmetic industry believing they push the idea that god’s creations need to be made more beautiful through fashion and cosmetics. He also doesn’t like the modeling industry, and believes that it exploits the body for the sake of money almost like prostitution. He is also a serious critic of feminism, viewing it as movement that promotes ignorance and hatred against men and destroys the American family, and is hypocritical. He celebrates holidays in the traditional sense, seeing the modern holidays as too materialistic. Despite his fundamental belief in Catholicism, he does accept science and evolution but believes that they are a means of explaining god’s miraculous creations. When his powers manifested themselves, he believed it to be a sign from god that he was do the will of the catholic church and spread their kindness to the entire world, this is why he swore an oath to the church and the pope, to be a symbol of hope and faith to catholic faith and the world.

Biography: Gabriel was born in Chicago to an Irish American family. He had a younger sister named Caitlin who was very sick and doctors were unsure of how long her body would out. Because medicine could not help his sister, his family turned to prayer for comfort. Both his mother and father were faithful Catholics who prayed for their daughter’s recovery every time they went to church. Gabriel in his younger years formed a very close bond, and when Caitlin was too sick to leave her bed, he read stories to her to make her happy. The times when she was well enough to be out of bed, they played together for as long as they could. When he was twelve, his sister seemed to be getting better and Gabriel hoped that a miracle had happened giving his sister back her life. But two months later on the Monday after thanksgiving, her health declined, and soon you she was on her deathbed. Gabriel’s parents were heartbroken that their only daughter had died, despite their prayer for her life. Gabriel was full of sorrow at the loss of his beloved sister, and for years he suffered from depression. His childhood went by quickly in his sadness, but there was some light in the darkness that was his sorrow. He met a beautiful girl named Lily and they became close. It wasn’t until he was seventeen that he told her his feelings for her. She told him that she too felt a loving connection between the two of them. And so he began a relationship with Lily, Gabriel knew that he had met the woman he would marry someday. Years pasted and they planned to be married when they were twenty-three years old.

Just before his 22th birthday, he had taken a trip with Lily to the holy land of Jerusalem and while on a tour through the city, Gabriel a heard the voice of someone he could not see and he followed the sound of the voice to the ruins of a centuries old church. When he entered the church, the owner of the voice made himself visible and it was Saint Michael the Archangel. Gabriel fell to his knees in complete shock and sent a prayer to God. Saint Michael told to rise and spoke to Gabriel, telling him why had come to him. He told him that he was chosen by God to become one of guardian saints of the world and take name of the saint to serve as a protector of the people against evil. Gabriel couldn't speak and Saint Michael reached out his hand and placed it on Gabriel's forehead. The angel began to glow and he instructed Gabriel on how to transform into him. Then the archangel disappeared in a flash bright light. Gabriel was shocked for several moments, and he wondered if what he had seen really happened. He spoke the words in Latin and almost immediately he transformed into St Michael and felt the incredible powers that God blessed him with. Gabriel from then on became a fighter for the people against the forces of evil. He then went to Vatican and swore his loyalty to the Catholic Church before the pope. He then went on his long journey as hero to fight for the unfortunate and oppressed, bringing hope to those who had faith. It had been three years and he is now married to Lily. They live in Chicago and he has decided that joining the new team of Superheroes known as the League of Heroes was a way of helping more people with his powers.

Razrael is extremely cunning and manipulative. He has the strength to go head to head in fierce combat, but he prefers to try and talk his way into getting what he wants. He never forgets an enemy and any grievance done against him. Razrael is a firm believer in revenge and making anyone who crosses him suffer. He is very prideful and boasts about his many accomplishments throughout his existence. He is adept at setting his enemies off through the use of insults and boastful self praise.

Thanks to being over three thousand years old, Razrael is extremely knowledgeable and has millennia of experience. Razrael is very adept when it comes to knowledge about the mystic arts especially black magic and the way of demons. Thanks to being a demon Razrael is always hungering for more souls to take from mortals who sold their souls to him.

Razrael was spawned by a higher order of demons in the Abyss and from an early age he showed promise and many believed that he would become a powerful demon lord. The life of a demon was one of great manipulation and gaining power. Demons always were trying to get an advantage over each other and Razrael knew full well of this reality of life and focused as much as possible on developing his powers and expanding his knowledge.

Black Magic: Razrael uses Shadow Magic, which grants him dark magical powers that he can use for combat.

Night Tendrils: He creates tendrils of shadow that attack his opponents, which he can use them to ensnare or bludgeon.

Demonic Eye: He can send waves of intense fear and dread by making eye contact with his enemy.

Wolf Form: Razrael can shapeshift into a wolf cloaked in a shadowy aura.

Body of Shadows: Razrael natural form is a black spectral entity and is almost intangible, which allows him to take powerful hits.

Ray of Darkness: He fires off a beam black shadows that hit his enemies with concussive force that can damage both the body and the soul.

Black Flames of The Abyss: Razrael fires a jet of black flames at his enemies that can damage both the soul and body.

Shadow Walk: This ability allows Razrael to move at incredible speeds whether it is on ground or in the air.

Demonic Speech: Razrael can speak in the minds of mortals through the use of the demonic language, which gives off a frightening feeling to mortals who hear it.

Nightmare: This spell summons a lessor demonic entity that takes the form of a black horse bathed in shadows and has glowing red eyes. This horse charges his foes and attacks them with powerful force. The Nightmare radiates fear and is a terrifying sight to those not trained in the art of fighting demonic entities.

Demonic Gift: For those who make deals with him, Razrael can give them some of his powerful magic and grant them superhuman strength and access to black magic, which they can use to create bolts of black lightning and black flames for a short period of time.

"My essence certainly felt that."

Despite having a spectral body, this doesn't make Razrael invincible and he can be harmed by powerful attacks that damage his essence. Silver weapons are especially damaging to his essence and divine powers can harm him the most. While his demonic powers are mighty, his well of black magical energy is not infinite and he can lose run out of power and if he keeps using his magic for too long when those wells are depleted then his life force begins to be drained and it could destroy him.
