Jenna wished she had ever had someone to care that much for her. She had lived in a superficial world and now that all superficiality was gone she realized that she had nothing left. She wiped the tears from her eyes and laughed it off as silly sentimentality. She smiled and said "Excuse me." Jenna walked back to her room and she lay on her bed and cried. She felt hopeless in this new and deadly world. If she hadn't been loved before how would she ever find that now.

Jenna went with Jon to the kitchen. "Go bring them in, I didn't forget about you guys out there. I put your meal back." Jenna was also concerned about the cooler temperatures with winter going to be coming. She had heard Nikki and Matt discussing it the other day. They had been searching for winter clothing and more blankets as well but this was also taking them into private homes on some of the trips out scavenging. Even SoCal got snow in many areas. "There has been a lot of clothing brought in. Would you like to find something more comfortable and normal to wear?"

Jenna looked at Jon a moment. "Nikki was talking to Matt about just this subject yesterday. He was going to take a look at the furnace and see if it could handle it. Regardless they are talking about closing off and shutting down the heat to the classroom section of the school and just keeping the library hallway to the front on heat. Also I can keep the kitchen and cafeteria doors open to the inside of the cafeteria so it will use that heat more efficiently. The less the furnace has to work, the longer it should stay viable theoretically of course."

"What we really need is for the power company to stay running. If the lines go down between here and there THAT is the real issue. If we get ice on the lines they can break easily."

Okay guys! Helo has had some serious overtime this weekend so he said he would be back tonight. And Blackpanther should be getting home late tonight so I would say it's safe to think we will hear from them both if not tonight then tomorrow for sure.

Cambria was knee deep in Wicked's financials and she was doing what every good sleuth did. She was following the money. Bell was right, she had paid out a lot of money for Coheed's upbringing and studies. So far once it left Wicked's accounts it went into one account where it was divided and then it was taken out in cash. It looked to have been that way since the third year. Before that the money was deposited into the accounts of the orphanage. Plus she was making yearly donations to the orphanage. This went on til the third year, after that it went to the other accounts and out in cash. She put in orders to the bank to send her the original checks so she could see who was cashing them out. If they were just written to cash she needed the names of the signers on the accounts so she could find out what she needed.

She looked up at Enyo as she passed by her room. "Hey, nice job today. I have no idea who Michael thinks he is but he thinks he is a superstar or some damned thing. I'm looking into what happened to the money and I am sure that will lead me to his past. Even the gods won't be able to help the people involved in screwing up his life when I find them."

Enyo sat down. "You know if I hadn't found something that I could get for Hades. Ro'kun or Cal would have married her to save her." "Yeah but she and Cal are too new for that and Ro'kun might be secretly in love with her already." Cammy said grinning. "I wonder if he realizes how he looks at her. Funny thing is I think she knows it too. But she also knows that if he were hungry enough he might trade her off for a ham sandwich too." Enyo busted out laughing. "You are probably right there, that guy loves his food!"

Meanwhile Shiver was in her room sleeping in Cal's arms.
