Enyo looked at them and said, you guys must be the two new ones Bell was sending over. She searched her desk and then the fax machine. "Ah here we are." She took the paperwork and gave it to Liz and grabbed two comlinks and 2 room keys. "Follow me." Enyo walked down the hall and pointed out the hallway on the left. "Lounge, Kitchen and terrace. Be careful in the lounge I put our boss through the wall earlier today so there is a big whole."

Enyo pointed at the sign in front of the elevator that said what was on which floor. "The sign is wrong we moved R&D down to the 3rd and 4th floors because they kept ripping the roof off of the 6th floor to get at them. What was on the 3rd and 4th is now on the 5th and 6th." She turned right and looked at the glass ceiling over the pool. "Oh good, they fixed it! The pool area was damaged heavily in a battle a few weeks ago. Feel free in your down time to swim, hot tub, whatever. Shiver makes the best ice slides so you might get her to if you ask."

She kept going and passed many rooms. The two rooms were next to each other. She gave them each a key and showed them how to program their entrance recognition and then she showed them how the comlinks worked. "These are for communication to the other team members and the HQ. Your biometric information is monitored continually. If for any reason you hear sirens it means either the HQ is under attack and you need to come defend it or that a team member is crashing and you need to get to them immediately. Both of these are called "ALL CALLS" If you ignore one for any reason I will rip your arms and legs off." Enyo gave them their keys. "You'll both be put on missions by tomorrow so enjoy yourselves."

Eden ducked and dropped down hitting him with her light blades. She sliced him open to the bone on his right leg. The cut went down about 18 inches or so. His scream made it obvious that he was in a lot of pain. Eden blinded him and he had grabbed something and hit her with it. Eden could hear him but she couldn't see him any longer. Invisibility...hmm she thought and no blood drips so he must be healing. She waited to see or hear some sign of him. "Come out come out wherever you are." She said wearily as she circled the area. Eden grinned and set off so much light it literally pointed him out like water in the air before a storm. She could see his outline because the light magnified the particles around him. Next she hit him with light shards, about ten of them.

Ranna awoke with the sun as usual but today was different. She was inside an actual building for the first time in a very long time. She washed her own clothes in the sink in the bathroom sink and hung them to dry over the bar in the shower. Slipping her shoes on she left the apartment and went downstairs. Looking at the beautiful scenery day after day must have dulled their senses she thought. There were a lot darker places they could be and they had no idea.

Ranna walked out into the lush but overgrown landscape. She sniffed the flowers and smiled and she even held her hand out and a ladybug landed on it. It wasn't the normal red and black one but it was still a harmless one even if it was orange and green. She loved everything about the morning after it rained. She had heard the light rain not long after it started and it soothed her nerves. The air smelled fresher and cleaner to her than it had in a long time.

She smiled and asked the nearest guard where the meeting was to be and he told her with a smile on his face. She felt his eyes on her as she walked over and sat down. A small child was outside with it's mother and she toddler came over and sat on Ranna's foot. She looked up at the child's mother and smiled "It's okay, he is safe with me. I promise." Ranna played with the young child and tickled him while his mother watched laughing and smiling all the while. When it was almost time for the meeting she saw the mother motioning for the toddler to come back. Ranna gave the small child a hug and waved to him as she handed him to his mother. The mother waved and smiled at her and walked over to her family.

Nora skirted her way through the streets. She ducked into an alleyway and slid up against the building. She could hear the humans yelling about a trapped werewolf and she ran to the other end of the alley and hopped over the ten foot fence in one move. She sped as quickly and quietly as she could through the darkened city and as soon as she could she got off the streets by ducking into the secret tunnel that led out to her home in the country. It was a long walk but it was safe and when you were a vampire it wasn't so long.

"Barkley!" Nora called as she emerged from the door inside the pantry in the kitchen. When she emerged she nearly scared the cook to death. "Oh..I'm sorry Ophelia. I didn't mean to scare you." She really was a little odd for a vampire. She truly cared about her servants as her own family. She never hurt them and she took good care of them. After all, who would if not her?

Barkley was in the living room with a cup of blood for her. Standing in the doorway he held her glass out for her and she took it and sat on the couch to take off her boots. "Miss were the streets full of hate tonight?" Nora nodded. "Even more than last night. They are tracking and trapping werewolves and vampires both." Barkley took her shoes and handed her a blanket to cover up with. She took it gladly, not because she was cold but because it was something she had done all of her human life and she had been covering up with blankets out of habit for nearly 500 years. It was comforting to her, especially in times of trouble.
