@LeeRoy@MelonHead3 tons or 1 ton...what's the big deal?
Such differences have no impact on the battle unless the writer edges on it (ie: fighting somebody who was described to be 3 times stronger)
This would matter if, say, your blasts unsuppressed could destroy entire city sections or city blocks (or even more).
But basically your attack power went from street to small buildingish level to ... slightly lower.
It won't change much because the point of these fights is that we should be balanced.
@Willy Vereb

Stealing her work? She'll be filled with glee. She ordered the bombings precisely to start a war; this is what she wanted.
Her collaborators also made a critical success in their roll, killing a rather high ranking and legendary noble.
That's even "luckier" than the assassin who missed his chance but then accidentally still managed to kill Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

Anyways, I mean this in a way that Yllendthyr actually uses this for purely their own purposes. They didn't fell for the ploy but mention it because that became convenient.
Granted, in the end the difference doesn't matter in the results. But Velikaya may notice this and she wouldn't be so happy to know.
@LeeRoyhm, since your blasts have the force of 3 tons while you can lift 9-11, does it mean your physical attacks are stronger than your "energy" blasts?
Also at this level of intensity I somehow seriously doubt irradiation could be an actual issue.
Well, this is one of the main reason it's better to not put down too much details.
You can avoid controversies and also you don't get cuffed by them thus limiting your creativity.
Granted, after this post I won't complain a bit about your power.
I will just assume that we are roughly at similar levels, just with different strengths/weaknesses and of course with different powerset.

I'll be adding my profile, too.
Albeit you inspired me to restructure it a bit.
@MihndarI suppose it also includes Velikaya's (muted, secret) reaction to the mention of the Zanshir bombings?
I'm not sure if she's either happy or mad for the elves using that fact to encourage war against Tin.
On one hand she gets to have the two imperialist giants at each other's throats.
On the other hand elves make use of what you personally prepared. It's kind of like somebody stealing your work.

Though to be fair, 19th century sci-fi is damn OP if you try to adapt every stuff.
The Nautilus's technology and engine power is flatly impossible even in the modern world. Verne also made a freakin' transformer vehicle which can be both aircraft, ship and a submarine.
Then there's Wells' famous time machine or War of the Worlds.
So of course all things should be taken with a grain of salt and be kept without literally dominating the war.
@WernherI was thinking more along the lines of Shelley's Frankenstein, or Well' Invisible Man or New Accelerator.
I don't remember any classic 19th century "sci-fi" which featured self-replicating evolving monsters or anything like that.

As for races, well it's given that other races would be targets of discrimination and would compose the minority. Also like I said they should not be "overpowered" or "overcompetent" in their presentation. Dwarfs can be tougher than humans and can carry more but it wouldn't be such a huge rift that a brawl between a human and a dwarf is practically a one-sided beating.
For example i made a rather comprehensive description for elves where they have some obvious advantages but also certain obvious drawbacks compared to humans. Thus the idea of elves being better was just the product of their arrogance.
Well, since steampunk is already involved can we use some lowish fantasy elements, too?
No magic, superbeings or world populated by countless different sentient beings with each strangely following one stereotype/culture.
But somehow I feel dwarves or some other typical races could spice things up.
Similarly, would "steampunk" involve strange elixirs or freak experiments which were also classics of the Sci-Fi of this age?
@Rilla@SkallagrimCan we post our character profiles here?
I mean there's really no point in hiding them by this point.
If anything it makes things easier to keep track of.
I use my third character I posted in the Arena main thread.
She's a superheroine type with her best attributes being her speed and durability.
Her physical strength and beams are decentish, too. But they sure don't stand out compared to these two.
I'll be mostly absent in the following days, so I'm already glad there's a co-GM people can rely on during these times.
