By my opinion playing a forum RP is effectively the same as writing a collaborative story. So above everything to be a decent RPer you need to be at least a passable writer.
Why's this important, though?

Well, basically what I am thinking about is a sorts of "circle". About what, though?
Did you ever have a dream match between two characters? Say the ever-infamous Goku vs Superman.
Well, this idea would sorts of serve to satisfy that. You submit your idea and people who signed up for this game would write a one-shot story about these two people (or perhaps more) duking it out.

That's the basic idea. I'm rather short on time now so I end it here. I'll explain the details later.
Anybody's interested?
Can't we have more powers? I mean nation RPs are valued because you can often build your own nation from scratch.
Anyways, mech-based RPs are fun and I am tentetively interested in this.
Well, things went hectic a bit so I couln't work on this RP much.
I just dropped by to say I'm sorry and I'm still not given up on this RP.
You just have to live with a bit more delay.

The Eclipse didn't last very long, Zann just wanted it for the information it had. He rightly said that having a ship that size would bring too much attention. Though they they were the playbale faction in the campaign. Though yeah while Black Sun is one of the oldest (Hutts are also really old) their lack of their own space has caused them problems in the past.

Though nothing to say you can't grow it up. Or if you wanna go another criminal route you could go another Hutt in Hutt space. The fleet in my sheet (Other than the one in Riibbos CS) is for the entire sector not just Riibbo so you can join and claim your own space in the Hutt Sector and some ships off the list.
I see, my memories about forces of Corruption were kind of blurry.
I'm rather thinking of a semi-pirate nation, kind of like raiders for hire. The details are still a bit uncertain, though.
What I know that I already have a few nice custom ship ideas. Basically I'd be using heavily retrofitted version of otherwise weak and common ships.

@Sini Think the only two semi-strong criminal organisations are the Zann Consortium and the Hutt Cartel.

The two don't really see eye to eye either xD

I WANT SOMEONE TO GO MANDALORIAN.

I had plans for them damnit.
Black Sun would have a word with you.
They are by far the most ancient and often the most powerful crime organization in the entire galaxy.

EDIT: Ooops, you already mentioned them.
Anyways, weren't they a major force during the Forces of Corruption?
That setting was distinctly ABY what with the Superlaser equipped Eclipse as their flagship.

I haven't been doing anything on RPGuilds in nearly a week by now. I wish to make this game work but my fluctuating activity is an re-occouring issue. I did appoint a co-GM but we haven't even talked much nor I see any action from him thus this is the current state of affairs.
I am not even sure how many players are still wishing to play this game. Granted, there's nothing stopping more players to come even after we start.
But yeah, with some patience this game would eventually start. I will try catch up with tings either today or tommorrow and then let's see how far we could get.
On the long run though I need co-GMs who can manage the game even in my sudden absence.
@TheodorableI am not sure I have the capacity with so many other RPs I'm in but in case I do... what are your views on fantastical races?
I'm thinking of something like elves, dwarves and such.
They have advantages and disadvantages compared to humans and of course there's no magic involved.
@ActRaiserTheReturned We are all waiting for it. I mean I feel ashamed for using a faction from a TCG, which means they are quite unknown, but they are badass, and I am sure they will bring a spice. There are some serious BS going on here with factions. I see no way that any native tribe could possibly damage a small tank.
Dig a large hole, disguise it and lead the tank into it.
If you think about it a tank isn't any different from a large animal with a cannon.
Besides, less advanced nations trade their power for much better growth potential. They can learn new things like all the other faction and as it usually goes catching up is way easier than developing new tech on your own.

@Willy Vereb
I mean, you could have your supersuits if you wanted them, and you could arm all your guards with them. There are just several problems:
A) Your average guard, even in the elite-er PMCs, are not going to take this and be completely serious about it. Trouble will be caused when you turn your guards into walking supersoldiers.
B) Your average guard, even in the elite-er PMCs, could be bribed. All that tech and crap that goes into these suits could easily be taken, repurposed, and then used against you in the future.
C) They'd be insanely expensive. I mean, one of these for every single ship in your trading fleet would be mind-bogglingly expensive. Not as expensive as a ship, but hey, we've ('Murica, that is) have the biggest and most expensive military in the world, and yet we couldn't realistically station a squad of soldiers on every one of our ships.
D) Your guards might get hyped up on the suits, and decide to take whatever they want from you.
E) If you deploy countermeasures, such as only getting clearance and access to pilot these things in an emergency or during training, then they won't be able to respond as quickly, and as a corporation, your combat effectiveness in the event of a raid would be severely hindered

In other words-
You should count on the support of the nations you're trading with. Sure, these would make great guards, but putting all your guards in them would be needlessly expensive (You're a corporation- you live to make money, not waste it, eh?), and unrealistic. And difficult to keep all under control. Your guards are fine, but in the big picture, you should really count on the nation you're within to protect you.
A.) Why they wouldn't be? This is untold centuries into the future. A bit more than a hundred years back people would've just laughed if you said your job involves flying in th air. And now look where we are.
B.) Sure they can. They are mercenaries. Working for the client who pays the most is their job. Though the smaller unit organization structure and several hundred pages worth of legal documents ensure this is generally of little concern. Especially since if they're found out violating their terms White Corps is allowed to immediately disable their equipment.
C.) They are actually insanely cheap compared to many other alternatives. Conversion reactors in this setting are like the battery in our cellphone nowadays. Gravitics are what move doors, propel cars and everything. Also if I can afford a few thousand warships, tens of thousands of starfighters then the cost of 2.5 million power armored soldiers would be even cheap, just try running a calculation with the square-cube law. ARS-7 is good exactly because it's economical in its compactness. Why use vehicles when you can have these people carry themselves? They are true mechanize infantry.
D.) If they are, then such idiots are taken care of rather promptly. Then again, it'd be about as common as workers going on rampage with a forklift car.
E.) They are standard wear for WSS personnel. There are actually more advanced variations of this suit for special roles or to elites.

That's it.
Basically this suit turns my soldiers into the Mobile Infantry from the original Starship Troopers, except that maybe my people less of an one-man arsenal compared to them. These suits might be powerful when compared to a number of other infantry but this has to be weighed with the fact WSS barely relies on vehicles. These people aren't one man tanks, at least certainly not equal to tanks equipped with comparable technology. WSS personnel are primarily security and special forces. They are either securing places and people against less advanced threats or use their mobility to deliver surgical strikes. They aren't a regular army, nor they can be effectively used as such.
And why would they be? White Corps owns no territory, they are a multi-stellar megacorp. They don't need to defend themselves against organized military assaults and if they do it usually means they are fucked anyways. Like you said I would need to use politics with other civilizations to ensure such scenario never happens.

@duck55223
This is the kind of infantry I am talking about.
