Following the footsteps of the other space-filling empires I made some extensions to my territory.
Hope no one really minds it.
Bonus along with more yellow on the map that I can fight two other factions.
@Brithwyr's fae and @Vocab's vulpin invaders colonists
The latter though is only after they made their way through NPC factions or whatever that space is between us, I want to give them time which they obviously want to grow.

Also pinging @RisenDead because of the map change.
If it isn't much I'd ask him to draw the borders for the map according to the new changes.

Mercs you Say...

Let us take tea.
Sure, we can discuss the details.
Albeit the Yngvarians are under contract to not lend their services in wars against the Golden Horde...and to charge my neighbor at least double.

I guess rejecting the Ancestor Gods is enough to be seen as "undwarfish."
>breaking Oaths
>breaking traditions/changing culture drastically
>being cowards
>stealing
>heretical religious practices
>consorting with Orruks or Beastman (maybe Uruks too)
>Attempting to practice/consorting with foul magic
>becoming mutated due to such practices
>marrying outside of the Dwarf race and procreating with other races (Manlings from Rhun might be ok in very very small doses...MIGHT)

to name a few
Damn, those are pretty strict laws.
My Duergar (or Yngvarians as they call themselves) reject the ancestor gods and rather revere the god Yngvi (their name Yngvar would roughly translate as "protected by Yngvi") but said god never did anything openly to them. They are also far less honor-bound and not picky in their clients to trade with. They might be also infamous for their mercenaries that travel the world and lend their services to all takers.
So yeah, while not glaring opposites like the Chaos Dwarves they would be perhaps considered by your people almost just as bad.
Hence their name as Duergar.

I should hurry up and finish my profile, too.
Or at least get a skeleton of it to show you.
@Willy VerebI'd be cool with it. I'd just like a good reason why they were shunned like the Chaos Dwarfs, worshipping demons and such. And if my guys disowned them, then they will utterly hate them.

If you're a Dwarf but fall short of the ideal enough to be shunned, you're seen as oathbreakers and dishonorable, which means death.
Can you give me a quicklist on what "undwarfish" behavior would result in you disowning them?
I expect even the shortlist to be long and perhaps I can pick a few traits from those.

For now they are just heretics rejecting the dwarven pantheon for only one god and they are quite mercantile in general.

WHO HERE WOULD LIKE TO BATTLE THE DAWI!?
Do you have any portals leading to the desert?
Because unless my Uruk hordes can teleport I am afraid I am sorely under-equipped for the challenge.

BTW, are you fine with me having Duregar (deep dwarves)? They would be distant descendants of your dwarves being shunned in the southern mountains.
I'll tell you more about them once I am done with my NS.
I know you guys have plenty of people and such, but I have been following the thread for a bit and would just like to state my interest if you are at all still open for new people.
We are steadily running out of map space so you might have to tame your ambitions a bit but otherwise I think the GM wouldn't mind you joining

BATTLE MECHANICS

(snippy snip!)
Passive aggressive is rather unbecoming for this and you might want to reword those bits to avoid things happening you probably would never intend to. If I of all people caution you against this then there's probably more than minor vitriol is spread in your post.
Just a precaution.

Otherwise? I am fine with this idea of course! Basically you have 3 avenues to decide battles (though preferably just one). First via plain play-by-post roleplay, accounting for loses and properly resolving battles is down to the honor of the players and their common sense. If there's a dispute then GM can control this. And if there's further dispute you just roll a fuckin' dice and let the 50/50 chance decide it for them.
Sounds like a decent plan to me!
And yeah, I sure hope GM actions won't be required. NRP is a tightly knit community, at least compared to the other sections here, so we should all know how to play nice.

... Then again, military numbers and powers were the number one source of arguments here since Day 1. So let's hope that ugly dragon won't raise its head again. This is a roleplaying game, not a competition.

Meh, dropped the Ogre idea, then.
I just go back to the Uruk name and then enjoy the hilarity as other nations confuse me with the green cannibalistic Orruk scum.
@ClocktowerEchosOgres in this game actually being not!Uruk-Hai?
Yay or nay?

@RisenDeadYour NS mentions Ogres in your army. Although your unit list only has giants I ask you, would it be okay if my "black orcs" are considered the Ogres?
I don't even mind if you feature a different tribe of them later. Just asking if it'd conflict anywhere with your RP plans.
