Yeah, well, pretty much no. Definitely not as you knew it. Having multiple other big factions in the old rp totally obscured what it was about. The focus needs to come back home.

I need players to pick a boat. We have vampires and their various agendas, humans and their various agendas, and werewolves, which pretty much have one agenda. The old HIVE never really had a clear agenda. Everything needs to revolve around Soldier. ie. relate your proposed faction's mission to Soldier in some way. If you want HIVE to be a sect of vampires that want to bring Magnus/Dracula back and take over the world, then sure. You'd be enemies with Soldier and possibly enemies with other vampires around the world as well. Plan for that. Elaborate on that. How much power could a rebel-vampire faction have at their disposal? They probably do NOT have a massive cybernetic army, but maybe they have been able to genetically engineer a couple super assassins or something. Think of blackmarket activities and what can be gotten away with in secret. Work with other interested players to see if their characters would be interested in aiding yours.

I'd want you to remake your organization if you were even to play a faction.

I'm thinking of actually having all of Japan under vampire rule as a country, so perhaps if your character is a big influence there, he could potentially head a secret sect of vampire assassins that run missions all over the world to influence world politics and such.

@Kurai Assassin I am sorry to say it, but I'm gonna say Freelancer is not cannon in this one. Given the world as I intended to set it up, it doesn't make sense that human would have some random rogue military power established outside of Soldier. In the past, you had Freelancer work to establish peace and had both humans and vampires working for it, so why not just play within the Soldier organization?

Ok. I'm reading, and I'm trying to catch up on where exactly everyone is and what exactly are the main plot motions right now, but I'm trying to do it without reading every line from the very beginning. Maybe you guys could give me a nice, easy suggested opening scene to jump in on.

Here's what I'm thinking. I'm thinking of playing a non-Caper vampire, my own, as usual, who is familiar with NYC and what supernaturals are active here. He's mostly interested in protecting some of his great-great-great-great... grand nephew vampires safe around here, and all this Bane-Caper activity is drawing too much attention to the area. ...especially with dudes wolfing out in grocery stores, or wherever Elliot happens to be right now. ...cut me some slack, I'm still catching up.

My vampire guy isn't really interested in killing anyone, but he's never seen a hybrid before. He'll probably be cautiously curious and merely remind everyone not to be idiots. Does anyone want to have their character maybe know him or something?
