Mithias leaned against the doorframe, arms folded, and stared unblinkingly at Markiel with a stoic, but not unkind, expression, as he listened to the old warlock divulge his sincere feelings. He was an interesting case, this Relovski, an undying, yet very alive and human, living being. It was pleasant to see even briefly into his soul, and Mithias counted himself lucky to have caught many a glimpse.

This kindred immortal was however, following down a dark path, one that had claimed many a fledgling or oldblood alike. Death didn't always come in the night with a hood or a blade as the naive often expected. It was far older and far more sinister. One brought it upon themselves, slowly, becoming their own killer.

When Markiel finished a silence followed. The vampire brought a slightly clawed hand up to his very white chin as he finally blinked at him. It was time obviously, that Markiel needed 'the talk.'

"You speak of funerals, of death and of loss. Your thoughts turn to darkness and begin to swirl about the vortex of doom as if there were no other possibility. Immortality is not merely a constant apology for lack of dying, Markiel. In all your years, have you not witnessed births as well? How many lives have you encountered and enjoyed that you never would have had you remained mortal? Do you ever think on that? Their lives have been blessed by you, and despite your nihilistic assumptions, even mortal lives have meaning in their fleeting existance. Your life has meaning. Your life is no torment to you, only that you look upon it that way. The demon you fear only laughs at the torture you bring yourself. You see, you're something else now Markiel, something no longer meant to die. All you need to do is reach up and grasp your destiny and make it yours. Claim it. Own it. And may every moment of your consciousness be spent in appreciation and wonder at what the universe has to offer."

"I look upon you now Markiel with as much love as I would whether you would live forever or die in a few decades, as I would anyone, and I feel only joy. Perhaps I will one day miss you, but never will I regret our time together. I do hope that you will be around for long."

This is perhaps why Mithias had lived so long.
Sorry for the hold up. I'll get one up now.

A brave speaker welcomed the representatives and, despite his fear, broached the matters at hand. Mithias stood inhumanly motionless near Keith as he both listened to Malden Arus and simultaneously screened the other attendees for any signs of malicious intent. A whiny and annoying voice grated agasint his mature focus like a toddler upset about something insignificant. Eto was running her mouth.

"... I'm just going to assume this'll be another Satsuki reign, huh?"

The Conquerers did their best to ignore her, when suddenly Eto, chair and all were flung backwards as if they alone had felt the force of an unseen and unheard explosion directly in front of them. The little, green-haired half-ghoul smacked gracelessly against one of the pavillion pillars on her way out, leaving a dent and a splatter of blood and brain as the chair shattered into bits and flew out over the ocean with her smashed up body. From a pavilion hovering 6 miles over the water, Eto would probably regain consciousness just as her plummeting body reached terminal velocity, a speed fast enough to smash into the ocean surface as if it were concrete, certain to obliterate her body into a thousand bloody bits. It had been a powerful telekinetic attack, a blitz assassination, and the Dark Outliers would now be out another member before anyone could react. Mithias' lip curled slightly in a smile.

Except none of that actually happened. None of it, except for Mithias' smile. Sometimes, it was a good thing that no one could read his mind. He'd ignore Eto out of respect for his allies, for now.

Mithias glanced obscurely at Kaldor. He had studied up on his enemies, and he knew this one was far too powerful to fuck with. He would have to be dealt with by one such as Unicron, but defeating him was indeed possible. The Outliers had some powerful members, but the Imperium was the greater enemy, for both factions. For they had already taken over much more of the universe, their part of the multiverse, than either the Alliance or the Outliers had. What was this one, tiny planet caught in the flux of inter-universal travel to them? Just another world to subjugate and genocide and add as part of their ever-growing horde of faith-blind freaks. If teh Outliers weren't complete fools, they would join forces with the Alliance to stop them. But... we would see how this played out today.

Mithias took his seat beside Keith.
Not sure where Remipa is.

No. I made note of everything you mentioned before I responded to him.
@justthink

Sorry I didn't see your CS app until just now. I've been on vacation recently. Anyway, I think it's fairly safe for me to approve of Jax without waiting for Grey, since he's a very simple character and Grey is on a business trip and may not have the time. So, you are approved to post.
@Savato Just wondering if Mithias could possibly go unnoticed as part of the AoC for some sneaky dealings.
@Savato Can I assume Eto completely missed seeing Mithias?
@BurningCold Alright. Thanks for the notification. Sorry to see you go.
@Ojo chan 42 kk Thanks for the update.
