By the way, Tree, I had a question about the one-post-per-week minimum requirement.
Is it a week from our latest IC post, or is it on-week based, that is to say, we have from Monday until Sunday to post something? Just checkin', in case of emergency or unforseen future flubberjiggits.
Druid Girl shook her head at the lizardman's rather surprisign naievety.

"You can't tell if a sheet of paper is lying, can you? Seekers can only tell if you're lying if they hear you speak, so if people could just hand in written reports, they could claim to have finished a job even if they didn't do it." She explained. "Furthemore, not every adventurer knows how to read or write to begin with, some are just simple folks from humble homes looking to make money in some way other than plowing fields and herding sheep." She added.

At the comment of the archer's odor, and the girl's subsequent reaction to said comment, made the druid cover her mouth with a cupped hand, muffling a laugh and cleverly disguising it as a discreet cough.

"Don't worry, you don't smell like sewage... Well, not enough for any humans to notice at least." She tried, comforting the poor thing as best she could.

Once they entered the guild, the trio found the place to be more crowded than in the noon-ish period they had all met up. Though, apparently, evening-time was more inclined to be 'happy hour', rather than work. Most of the adventurers gathered were either eating, drinking, bragging or bickering - or all of the above, all at once. It was certainly more lively if nothing else, and spirits and mood were at an all-time high. The patrons didn't even seem to notice when the three-man group entered and made their way to the counter.

After Lizzie-poo Big Red handed over the parchment to the Guild Girl, and she glanced over the blood-stained piece of paper, correcting her glasses multiple times, she then nodded and waved for them to move to an area behind the reception desk. There, they followed the guild employee into a room that was very simple, with a table, some chairs and a carpet. Inside was a young, blonde man, wearing white robes - he greeted them politely.

After they all sat down, the entire procedure took less than ten minutes. Itt didn't seem they had too many questions - likely because this hadn't exactly been a high-risk, high-reward type of job to begin with. Still, they seemed to at least feign interest and ask some questions about both the lazy, cowardly guardsman's behavior, as well as the drid's decision to free the baby boar, rather than kill off the aggressor parents. They also seemed particularly amused when it was brought up that the archer had jumped onto and begun riding one of the giant pigs - eliciting snickering and head-turning from the two staff members. Eventually, things were wrapped up and they received a small, brown pouch with their pay - a paltry sum of 100 copper coins.

Once they left the room, the druid was quick to divvy up the dough, giving the lizardman and the archer each 35 coins while she herself settled for 30, explaining that it wwas her little way of thanking them for going along with her selfish request earlier. With money fairly divided and quest reported and officially complete, the archer exclaimed that it was time to go on patrol, making a bee-line for the quest board.

"She sure haas a lot of energy, huh?" Druid Girl said to the lizard, smiling in good-natured amusement and the little ball of liveliness.

It didn't take long for the foreign girl to nab the quest she wanted and return with it to her allies, holding up like one would hold a hunted rabbit - by its ears. Nodding, the group went over to the counter once more and handed the notice to the Guild Girl, who took it, made some scribbles and notes on some form and then spoke.

"Alright, party of three for patrol duty... Right, just head on over to the garrison over by the center of town and report to the Guard Captain. He'll fill you in on all the details you'll need." She stated, politely and professionally as usual.
I... type... stuff? xD
But yes, for me at least, my latest post is a bit on the shorter side by my standards. Although, I suppose you could call it a medium-sized post too, given that oen paragraph was ridiculously long compared to some of the others.
As for how to write longer posts, you should only do so if you have things for your character to do, say and/or think. Posts filled with no substance or meaning are rather uninteresting to read.
But if you want a good example, just look at Lugu's latest post - I really liked it.

He had his character mentally comment on each of the other characters, remenisce about his own creator as well as consider and contemplate the meaning and actions of Rodias. It was a great way to bring the character to life and give us an insight into how Graft thinks and feels about everyone around him, as well as how he responds and views the current situation.

So, yeah... Do that, if you want longer posts, I guess? :P
Corn is delicious, and so is ham.
Short-ish post is short-ish, but at least Ashara wasn't the last to do something this time. 8D

EDIT:
Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer

I see Penn was a big fan of Sir Wayne June... xD
Excellent taste.
Having been allowed to sit at the gilded table, along with the Chapter Keepers of the chateau, was an honor unbefitting someone of her station. Still, refusing to do so would not only have been rude - given te invite had come from Lord Rodias - but also disrespectful to her superiors, who were willing to share a table with her without complaint. ... Though, she was unsure of how to feel after realizing that even the rude, half-wit tiger-boy was also allowed to sit down and join then, especially after his rather uncouth inquiry which Ashara had deigned to overlook as nothing more than a bizarre form of greeting... Still, such boorish behavior, someone needed to teach taht overgrown cat how to speak to ladies proper.

The following meeting was a bit surreal. Especially when the topic of them no longer being in the forest of thier home, but rather, now stuck atop some mountain? How had that happened? When? Was that why the shrine's air felt so cold, because of the change of elevation? And why hadn't anybody told her about this earlier? Surely, she couldn't have been the only one to not have noticed? Many thoughts circled int he fox-lady's head as she did her best to follow along with this new informatiion and grasping the reality that was quite frankly dropped on her head like a saturday-morning cartoon-anvil. Even worse was the realization that there was some kind of settlement just below their castle, a settlement of unknowns with unknown disposition.

However, despite all these revelations, and with all of Lord Rodais' explanations, the fox-girl had remained quiet throughout the meeting - listening and taking in what was said, choosing not to speak or interrupt. Outbursts of shock or anger or any other kind were rude when one of higher standing was speaking, and any who would do so were severely lacking in manners. Though, that was true for any conversation really - you did not interject and cut someone else off until they were done speaking.. But, Lord Rodias didn't end his speech by merely going silent, instead he went off to do something rather remarkable.

The Supreme Being who was the only one of his kind left in the chateau, the last of the Sable Lords and their only true, rightful leader, displayed in a grand yet irrefutably admirable act of humility, that he would not take his position and status for granted. He would not claim control or leadership without consent, and he would ask for their approval and loyalty. Truly, this was the grace of a true King, someone who asked for loyalty so he may lead those around him to better and safeguard their lives, rather than rule with contempt and take charge with force and strength alone. Lady Deka_Ribbon had always said that sincere humility was important, even among the strongest and most important people, for arrogance gives birth ot hubris and conceit - so to see one of the great Sable Lords display such sincere humility, it was nothing short of glorious. Ashara could feel her cheeks slightly warm up and a wide, genuine smile form on her face as she looked at the young master with the admiration and kindness he deserved - like that of an older sister looking at her noble, mature younger brother forced to take charge and become the head of his clan.

She rose from her seat slowly, her tails gently swaying from side to side as she got up. With jingling, soft steps she circled the table so that she may stand and look at his kneeling figure for jst a moment, before again sitting down on her shins and knees with hands placed upon the upper side of her thighs.

"You are our young master, my lord Rodias. Our Creators all trusted and valued you, then and now. There is no doubt in my mind that the only one fit to lead us through this new and strange place, is you." She said, smiling warmly. "Sod I am sure that - if not all, then at least Lady Deka_Ribbon, would agree with me. So raise your head, young master, and give me your command. I, Ashara Masamune, will follow wherever you go." Her voice rang with sincerity and earnesty. It was not the stale or dishonest pledge of a sycophant, but the honest and heartfelt promise of a true and loving servant, or perhaps even, family-member.

Still, as she sat there, tails wagging lightly and ears flitting occasionally, she couldn't help feel as if she'd maybe overstepped her boundaries and gotten a bit too full of herself. Still, if her new master was going to display such kind and genuine generoisty, then she had no choice but to return his feelings with equal respect and love.
Given all the different greetings and all the different approaches, I be guessin' that Tree's next post is gonna be rather massive, if they be intendin' to reply and comment and inner-monologue and every single one of the NPCs actions. :P
On the topic of the High Cleric, I'm curious to see what Tree went with for them - since nobody filled that position, it oughta be a Tree-controlled and manufacutered NPC. ^^
"Vae Dheyer, Commander of the White Legion. What is thy bidding my master?"

"I don't think we all need to take part, but the Guild prefers if we do. After all, if only one person gives an account of what happened, important things might be left out - unintentionally or otherwise." The druid replied to the archer's query about them all having to take part in the report debriefing.

As they walked along the dirt path, they soon came upon the eastern gate of Palisade Town. Two guardsmen, armed with spears, small bucklers and a each wearing a suit of ring mail, stood on either side of the entrance - looking rather bored and unmotivated. As the trio approached though, both of their heads perked up at the sight of the two, foreign girls - apparently being a sight enough to make their eyes sparkle just a hint... But, that was soon replaced by expressions of either revulsion or apprehensiveness, once they saw the giant red lizardman accompanying the girls. Didn't seem like these two were going to be trying to chat up the ladies anytime soon with their hulking friend tagging along.

The group passed by the gatehouse uneventfully, and walked on down the main street. The amount of people out and about had dramatically decreased, with only a handful of folks still hurriedly walking about. Palisade Town didn' have a high crime-rate, but people tended to stay indoors once the sun set, and as it was only mere minutes away from doing so, people were now preparing for the evening and supper. The windows of the houses along the streets were all alight with warm, yellow-y glow and small, translucent serpentine trails of smoke were seeping out of many chimneys. It was peaceful and mostly quiet, though getting to be a bit chilly with the soft evening-wind blowing.

"So, Big Red, you want me and her to join you in the reporting? It's usually the person who hands in the quest receipt who gets questioned the most, since they're usually considered the party's leader." She explained, looking up at the lizardman with a smile, just as they arrived at the guild hall.
Wooooooh, first snow of the year! And my knee is still busted after Wednesday's little accident, woohoo!
I'm so curious to see the world outside the chateau though, the weather, the climate, that little village at the foot of the mountain that we'll be terrorizing... :3
Just to clarify, I wasn't trying to come off as overly critical or condescending in any way, shape or form. I was just asking since there seemed to be - just what you wanted to avoid - some overlap witht he personalities. As for the creator-bit, again, I was just curious whether he acually created the NPC or if he had someone else do it. Though, if he started creating her, but couldn't finish her because of lack of knowledge - and thus got outside help - that would still make him the 'creator', initially, regardless. Sorry if I sounded rude. :(

Guns that make mechanical sounds and loud, shoot-y noises are neither graceful nor elegant, such barbaric and low-class machinations have no place in a Throne Room of the Supreme Beings! Harumph.
