My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

"Wait a minute," Jennifer interrupted, leaning forward on the able with both arms crossed in front of her, "I know we're wanted for questioning by the police, but we didn't actually commit any crime. They have no reason to hold us if we don't cooperate, much less stick a false charge to our name. Despite the public's opinion, and multiple businesses' refusal to work with us, we shouldn't go on the run. The bank can't hold my assets, I mean, on what grounds are they allowed to do so?"

Jennifer paused for a moment, knowing that she was getting a bit more defensive than she'd intended. But the entire situation was ridiculous, especially when she never asked for any of it, as was probably the case with everyone else in that room.

"Look, I know our lives here are difficult; I mean, I'm on temporary leave from the university until further notice, but we have to face those threats and take care of the problem, not run away. We're not criminals, we're victims, and I believe that we're being treated unfairly and unfortunately, we have to take matters into our hands. You have plenty of money, right?" she continued, turning to Ashton, "why don't you have your attorney talk to the police so they can make a public statement regarding their concern for our safety, remind the rest of the citizens that coming after us is still illegal. We have to lay low, I agree with that, but we can at least try to take care of the problem while we're at it."
Amelia startled herself awake from a bad dream she was having. It involved her parents; they were being held hostage by some unknown evil entity and she had to get to them within a certain timeframe, but obstacles kept disrupting her...those easily found within The Zone. Despite her best efforts, Amelia failed to reach her parents in time, and that's when she woke up, sweaty and teary-eyed from the realistic events occurring in her nightmare.

The young woman turned to her side and noticed it wasn't dark yet. She hadn't slept for too long apparently, despite the fact that her body felt well-rested and energized. She wondered whether her body had gotten used to the lack of adequate food and sleep to the point where she could function relatively well without much of either one. Maybe that was the case, or maybe she had just gotten a really good few hours of sleep.

A nearly empty bottle of wine sitting on the table opposite her bed made Amelia desperate enough to get up, wipe her face with some wet rag, and gear up to go search for something to drink. She preferred wine as she wasn't particularly fond of beer, and everything else was a bit more complicated to come across, so she didn't have much too choose from. Amelia knew that she had told herself she would just stay home until the next day, but she would probably get bored very easily due to the fact she wasn't the least bit tired and therefore wasn't able to go back to sleep. Such a struggle her life was.

Just then, things took a turn for the worse. The gruesome sight that awaited the woman outside was definitely something she wasn't expecting, and it is something that will unfortunately stay in her mind for years to come. The pile of corpses nearly made her lose her meal, an immediate side effect of how upset the horrific scene made her feel. Amelia wasn't by any means a stranger to death—but it was a completely different story when the victims were all her friends and individuals she considered family. Such act of selfishness was unforgivable, and Amelia knew exactly who she had to find in order to attempt to make sense of such atrocity. She only hoped he hadn't gotten too far, because this way beyond crossing the line.
Ooh forgot Violet was actually going to be at the club. Disregard.
Who's going to make the next post between the two of you? We've got SWAT to deal with

"I don't want anyone to die," Amy finally said as she adjusted herself to be sitting up, "not because of this mission and most certainly not because of me." Her voice remained monotone, but it was incomparable to the amount of shame she felt at the moment, especially after how her father had reacted upon learning she was a part of the team that had raided his entire station. "I believe that reaching a compromise by talking it out is the best choice, but that's only if both parties are willing to refrain from blindsiding each other with a surprise attack."

Despite her words, there was a nagging voice in the back of Amy's head that kept telling her such peaceful meet was unattainable. And that much may be true, whether she actually believed it herself or not, but it didn't really matter as long as the rest of her crew mates (and her father's) kept their promise and behaved in a civilized fashion.

"So what do you say, do we have a deal?"

Amy's gaze fell on no one in particular. Rather, she was staring at a wall and the poor woman didn't even know it. Her father, after feeling some guilt because of what he had just done, nodded his head in approval.

"That's fine with me," he said, lowering his weapon before his subordinates behind him did the same. Amy felt some satisfaction hearing her father opting out of violence. Maybe she did save him after all.

I promise I'll have something soon, definitely within the next two days. I just finished moving and to add to my dilemma, I've been terribly sick for exactly a week now, with no sign of stopping. Oh, and I also lost my prescription meds during the move.
Amy heard Grayson's command before she felt his armored arm shoving her behind him. The poor woman nearly lost her balance, but she quickly recovered and managed to still hold on to her weapon. Shots buzzed past the both of them for what seemed like an eternity before she heard an all-too familiar voice, that which echoed through the walls as an unmistakable sign of power.

"Cease fire! NOW!"

Her breath caught in her throat, yet Amy wasn't sure whether it was out of relief or due to fear. She stood straight and peaked her head out from behind Grayson's figure.

"It is you..." she heard her father say, footsteps approaching not too far from where she was standing.

"Dad."

Amy walked forward to greet him, her weapon now at her side as she used her free hand to reach out for him. It wasn't long before he took her hand in his and pulled her in for a hug. "I've missed you," he whispered, making the moment last for as long as he could before the inevitable occurred. "Are you with them?" he continued, catching Amy off guard. She simply nodded, and then he slowly let her go. The next thing Amy felt was a backhand to her cheek which painfully knocked her off her feet. A few tears finally managed to escape the corners of her eyes, and in that moment it was just her and the mess of emotions going on in her head as she became oblivious to her surroundings.

@Rultaos On the contrary, it's been a slow day and I'm still stuck at work for another half hour. I feel a lot better after I've been taking my prescriptions though.
I can actively be involved in a collab in the next three hours, if anyone wants.
"Grayson?"

His distinct accent was easily recognizable, and Amy was finally able to relax after what seemed like an eternity. "I'm so glad you're here. I was attacked from behind, caught completely off guard..."

Amy wasn't completely lying, but rather, she was omitting a very important fact. She figured she would confront Arex later, when they were both alone. This was a personal issue, and she wanted to deal with it on her own, without anyone else's involvement. Amy then limped towards Grayson and she sensed there were additional bodies there with them. The idea didn't sit too well with her, not if they were going to start questioning why she'd gone off on her own exactly like Arex had done. "I'm sorry if I distracted you from your objective, I can make my own way back rather easily. This place isn't necessarily a maze."
