Hello! Here is the disappointing member of the group. At least I'm constant on that part in.. well everywhere.
Just wanted to ask if anyone wanted to do a quick meet & greet collab when my character comes in. Just a small conversation as my character approaches you. If not I already got plans...not that I need anyone.

I already planned something for him and could as well just write something now and completely end the ball but that is the Gms job. And on that note, could you PM me about your plans for the ball?@HushedWhispers

Just amended my character sheet, feel free to take a look! I think everything's all sorted out now, apologies for missing the obvious character sheet guide, haha, I was pretty tired when I wrote things up.

Artus carries a gaunt and rugged figure, his receding hairline having long since faded to hues of smoke and iron. His complexion seems worn yet hardened, one of experience and resolve - his eyes, an ashen brown in colour, carry with them a hardened gaze. In terms of his attire, Artus prefers to forgo the usual pleasantries of noble clothing, choosing practicality over fashion sense. Most of the time he is clean shaven, though occasionally can be seen with the onset of growing stubble.

Artus reveres his deceased wife and is protective of her memory, her death coming far too soon in his eyes. Now a widower, he raises his only child (a twelve year-old son) alone and hopes that he will not venture down the same path that he took in life.

Alcohol || To Artus, a clear mind is a prepared mind. Alcohol promotes a lack of discipline and serves as a gateway to other vices not becoming of a soldier.

Nobility || Artus finds the majority of the noble houses to be weak and contemptuous, like vultures waiting to pick clean the bones of the kingdom for scraps of power.

Dishonesty || A man who makes a mistake in battle should be prepared to admit to that error, Artus has little patience for liars and scoundrels.

War || While he does not fear war, Artus does not want one either. After seeing the lives of many claimed by conflict, the onset of peace is a welcome reprieve.

The possibility that that his own son might one day be called upon to fight, especially for a ruthless and unpredictable monarch like King Jack.

| Personality |

A sense of duty has come to exemplify the life of Artus Wynton, a man who has tasted the emptiness of war and the exaltation of peace. For over twenty-five years he has served his homeland as a loyal bannerman, witnessing the countless loss of many in war, all fighting in the name of their king.

While he does possess an immeasurable loyalty to his country, the bickering of nobility and monarchs has left him feeling somewhat disillusioned - a fact which takes care not to make known. Artus is a patriot, a man loyal to his country but perhaps not so much its rulers.

| Background |

For centuries, the Wynton line have served the rulers of Slibah - from Edward I to George III. The cloak and dagger politics of nobility were of little concern to them, nor would it be - after all, House Wynton was never a major player in such affairs. Good soldiers but poor schemers, a saying popular in the circles of nobility. It was said that whenever a Wynton would make themselves known at social gatherings, one could hear the stifled whispers and mockery. But was there any merit in such a response? Or perhaps a dangerous underestimation?

The origins of House Wynton began during the reign of Edward I, when one of Artus' ancestors - a soldier of commoner birth fighting in the army of Slibah - saved the life of the king at the cost of his own, an act which yielded the gratitude of King Edward who in turn elevated the family of his saviour to nobility - a decision which would lead to centuries of bitter contempt from other noble families. The very notion of commoner blood being given the same social standing as them was seen as a slight, an attitude that would continue for many years.

Artus was born as the only child of Lord Grosvenor Wynton and Lady Loraina Wynton during the reign of the previous monarch. His father served as a loyal bannerman, a skilled tactician in Slibah's armies.

He even made a status just a few hours ago regarding Game of Thrones. :( If he is not here with us anymore then I might have to take up the King character unless someone else is willing. Fingers crossed though. :)

@HushedWhispers Neither Fabricant or myself have received a response from Bishop via PM for over a week now, perhaps longer. Which is unfortunate since both our characters are kind of tied to his character. I can understand if real life springs up on you, though I saw him make a status update about five or six days ago, yet no reply to my PM from him.
