Her strike having gone through, Casana chuckled even as she yanked the chain of the chakram she'd thrown behind her, then did so in the opposite direction, sending it down into the ground. She then pulled on it, hard, and the chain went taut. She dropped that chain, pulled her legs up under her, and slammed them down on the chain, rocketing herself upwards, higher into the air. The chain was pulled from the ground with this maneuver, as part of it remained wrapped around her upper right arm.
As she gazed down her eyes noted Alexis' form and her smile grew. Her hand grabbing the chain trailing down and behind her, she pulled it up towards her, shrinking it at the same time as she swung the other chain, causing it to fly forwards at an angle, traveling up further before it began arcing downwards towards Alexis' position.
Watching as she flew into the air, the flames wreathing her form, Casana raised an eyebrow, that same small grin on her lips. Then the fireballs came and she pushed off, weaving in and out, between their forms. As she let one near her body, obscuring Alexis' vision, Casana shrouded her body in arcane energy, then sprung upwards, shifting her weapon's state as she did so. Quickly it became two chakrams and she wound part of the chain around her forearm. Even as she did so she emerged from the flames, unscathed, and swung the chakram through the air, throwing it as she swung so it would fly at Alexis. In the same movement she grabbed allowed the chain to lengthen so its movement could continue. She continued to hurtle upwards into the air, throwing the second chakram down and behind her as she did so.
Name: Genmyou --Surname expunged from all records. Nickname/Alias: The Shade of Clarity. Gender: Male. Age: Unknown. Age Appearance: Unknown. Sexuality: Heterosexual.
Birthplace:--Expunged from all records.
Organization: Kumogakure and the Antare clan. Clan/Kekkei Genkai: Unknown/Tukkumu shijun. Zoukasari/Fuen Ametsuchi. Rank: S Rank. Position: Nidaime Raikage. Chakra Nature: Lightning. Onmyouton. Additional Appearance Details: Standing at 6'8 and weighing slightly below average for his height, Genmyou almost constantly wears a gray unadorned mask with no mouth or nose holes. There only remain thin slits for his eyes and the village's symbol on the forehead. Genmyou's true is one of the village's mysteries, with not even his closest allies having ever seen him without his mask, hood, and cloak.
History: --All information regarding Genmyou's origins going past his life as a young man have been expunged from all known records. As such, the following is all that remains recorded of Genmyou's origins--
...he faded back into the larger scope of the world and was at first a kind of mercenary nin. He travelled and exchanged knowledge and living expenses for any task he was assigned. As he did this he was able to acquire a rather sufficient sum of intel on various jutsu, clans, and rumors of the time. He continued to expand his knowledge and skill set until he struck gold. He heard a rumor about a clan based in Kumogakure, this was the first time he had heard of the so called Antare Clan. With a background such as his, it was hard for him to pass up and so he began to travel to cross the continent and reach the Antare clan's base of operations. At the time he did not know many, if any, of the secrets regarding the clan, but he did know they were allegedly the only rivals in fuinjutsu to the uzumaki clan. It took him a year or two of travel, due to many stops, missions, and such on the way but he eventually reached the country of lightning. Seeming rather suspicious due to his garb, as even at that time he possessed what shinobi see him in today, he was eventually spotted by one of the Antare clan's outposts and watched closely there after. As his renown grew, Genmyou eventually became known as 'The Shade of Clarity'. This title was blatantly ironic due to the unknown nature of his appearance and the difficulty that it was to track him and figure out his exact actions in combat. Regardless to this he began to be a nuisance when his missions began to conflict with nin from Kumogakure causing the shinobi assigned to come back empty handed or the like. Assassination attempts were made, but they could never track him down, and when they did they were met with clever non-fatal traps. Finally the aged raikage of the time requested the assistance of the Antare clan, the accepted, having been watching as a neutral part for some time.
They were easily able to corner 'The Shade of Clarity' but they too found themselves in a difficult situation. Even mid battle he was able to figure out who they were and who had sent them. They soon found themselves outclassed in a very unique fashion, and with words and defensive tactics alone the 3 Antare clan members found themselves in such a disadvantage that they were grateful when The Shade offered them an arrangement. An envoy sent back to the raikage and another to the elders of the Antare clan, Genmyou successfully got his message across. Though the raikage seemed rather threatened and more than a little worried about allowing this 'shade' free reign he did so with the advice of the Antare in mind. The Antare clan elders on the other hand were not as relenting and so instead of simply allowing him into their ranks, an unknown variable as he was, they commissioned him for a series of missions while they attempted to retrieve intel on the shade's origins. They drew a blank, finding only sparse information of his travels and various mercenary exploits, nothing of any solid consequence...Shade of Clarity indeed.
After several months of the grueling missions Genmyou began to grow ever more impatient and with perfect timing, as it was intentional the Antare allowed him entrance. In the years following it became known that Genmyou had been officially adopted into the country of lightning's social ranks and was around jounin rank. Years passed, he studied, trained, combatted, completed missions for Kumogakure, and then when he felt he had learned as much as was immediately useful to him from the Antare, he departed. Traveling to -data expunged- Genmyou disappeared for almost a decade. Strangely every two weeks a mission would end up completed to the fullest and so it was thought that Genmyou had completed these, which he had. When he finally emerged from his recluse, Genmyou returned a changed man, a better man, and a stronger shinobi. He felt no need to test himself against the lesser nin of the jounin rank and he proceeded straight to the death bed of the to-be late raikage. Genmyou looked the man straight in the eyes, and the raikage commanded the two be left alone.
No complaints were made, a mask was removed, a promise made, an identity remained hidden to all but one. The Raikage died only a year later and upon his death, his will was revealed, Genmyou - The Shade of Clarity, was to be named the second Raikage. Some of the village elders were disgruntled, but they were silenced by the will of the people and the guidance of the Antare clan. All was well, Genmyou became the kage of Kumogakure and has been as such for 10 years now. His age is unknown, his true appearance hidden, his identity null, and his skill renowned throughout. He is a man to fear, to trust, to avoid, to approach, he is all of these things, but above all else he is a efficient leader and an elusive enigma.
Personality: Genmyou is versatile in all activities he takes part in, this traits stands out. His versatility is mixed just as much with the air of intrigue that seems to surround him as a person. He is secretive, intelligent, serious, but not without humor. To him matters of the village, of battle, and anything remotely regarding his past are things to be given attention and a calm mindset above all others. In this way he is protective in his own way, seeming to have a kind of endearment to Kumogakure. Generally he tends to be fairly good-natured, and though he can sometimes be caught up the affairs of his village, he is never truly stressed. It has often been commented, and admired, that despite Genmyou's air of mystery and his rather plentiful responsibilities he never seems overwhelmed or burdened. In this way he is considered charismatic and sometimes even tends to use this trait to his advantage. This charisma also carries over to one of his rather well known mannerisms, corrections and wisdom. Essentially, Genmyou gets a kick out of messing with his adversary's mind while in battle without the use of genjutsu.
This reveals another trait of his for while he is not devious, he is exceptionally crafty in both a social environment and on the battlefield. He is loyal to those he makes his allies, but not to the point of blindness. He is the kind of man who will do what he must even if he knows others may not like it. When brought down to the bare essentials he is a survivalist, a former nomad, and a scholar. Genmyou has an avid love for knowledge and in his free time he finds it extremely rewarding and enjoyable to read, exchange knowledge, or even get into a philosophical discussion or two. In another light, Genmyou enjoys debate and conversation, but he seems to shy away from arguments. When put into a situation where a verbal exchange of negative theme is involved he tends to act as a mediator or he will simply remove himself from the situation until the participants are willing to discuss the issue(s) reasonably. This shows that Genmyou is indeed a very calm individual with an incredibly high tolerance for so called 'bullshit' as it were.
Base Weapons & Items: X explosive tags. X smoke bombs. X kunai X shuriken X wire X chakra reactive tags (blank). 10 Barrier rods.
Foot Note: His scrolls and tags react specifically to his chakra and the chakra effectively acts like ink.
Specialized Weapons & Items:
Name of Item: Chōkin kōgu(彫金工具'Engraving Tool')
Description: A tool designed by Genmyou and members of the Antare clan, this pen-like tool works by transmuting chakra into a sort of ink, which can be directly inscribed upon specialized sealing paper. However, what makes the Chōkin kōgu a truly unique tool is the fact that it imbues chakra into the seal as it is created. As such, the more skilled the fuinjutsu practitioner and the more complex the seal, the more charge the seal will have. This is not the only boon to its use though as the pen does not just imbue chakra into the sealing paper, but actually engraves empty space that chakra is compelled to fill. This essentially means that, left alone, any seal created with this tool will draw chakra from its environment to fuel itself. Additionally, due to the multitude of fuinjutsu used in its creation and the specialized ones applied by Genmyou himself, it renders the kage immune to the effects of the seals constructed in this manner unless exceptions are written into those very seals. This is due to the fact that the pen, and its ink are designed to react uniquely to Genmyou's chakra meaning that if stolen, the device will not work in the hands of another and neither will the seals.
Description: A special tome with the thickness of a single piece of paper, the Kinko is carried on Genmyou's person at all times. The tome is possible by way of space-time ninjutsu, effectively allowing it to have hundreds upon hundreds of pages without ever becoming larger or heavier as the pages are not stored within the book in a traditional fashion. This also means, that to access any given piece of information, an individual must have exceptional chakra control, and know the proper chakratic codes to input so as to find particular pages. While the book does have an index, it is encrypted in a code that very few understand. Genmyou teaches this code only to those he trusts most...and he is very picky about whom he trusts. This also means that burning the book, or any similar copies, in a person's possession will not actually destroy the rest of its pages, excluding the index.
The knowledge connected to these books is thought to be stored somewhere deep in the mountain upon which Kumogakure sits. Genmyou typically keeps the Kinko folded up on his person.
====================
Name of Item: Inshō-shi(印象紙'Impression paper').
Description: Paper specialized for applying seals, Inshō-shi is designed to be exceptionally good at absorbing chakra. This makes it the ideal medium for the Chōkin kōgu, but also means it can be a useful tool in...other ways. The paper, while not fireproof, is capable of withstanding about the same heat as a human body without setting on fire, and is treated so that liquids simply fall off of it rather than adhering or being absorbed by its surface.
====================
Name of Item: Chakra Conductive Gauntlets.
Description: Though really not all that difficult to craft, Genmyou wears streamlined gauntlets on both hands which effectively ease the process of the fuin furidashi slightly. The gauntlets do this by reacting to his chakra when he channels it to his hands and forming a small field of condensed aura around his hands in order to conduct his jutsu. This can also assist with some of his raiton techniques and are very useful. Due to being gauntlets these can also be used to claw, since the fingers are rather sharp, as well as to block some blade attacks. He cannot use these to catch blades due to the fact that only the outsides of the gauntlets are metal while the insides -meaning palm and finger bottoms- are made of a softer material which also lines the metals on the top of the gauntlets.
====================
Name of Weapon: Seigennashi no ei(制限なしの英'Blade of the Unrestricted').
Description: Often within its figurative sheath and hidden on his person, this blade is 4.5 feet long, weighing in at roughly 130 lbs to anyone attempting to wield it aside from Genmyou. Rather than the weapon being in a true sheath, it is sealed utilizing a modified generic seal, within the strap that would normally hold the weapon at his back. Regardless to this, Seigennashi no ei is a very unique weapon for it does not possess an affinity ability or some such foolishness. Instead, this weapon of unknown origin, is a blank slate for any kind of chakra that is channeled through it. This means that it can channel and carry any manner of jutsu within itself. This means that it seems to merely be an incredibly advanced chakra conductor. While this is true, the weapon is unique in that it can actually store techniques, which are channeled through it. However, it is limited to seven jutsu at any given time. Beyond this, the weapon, once attuned to its wielder, is rendered effectively weightless. Despite the efforts of many blade craftsman, chakra scholars, and fuinjutsu masters the cause of this effect remains out of reach and thus out of mind making it an enigmatic blade fit to its similarly mysterious wielder.
====================
Name of Item: Gen'ei no konryuu(幻影の袞龍'Phantom's imperial robes').
Description: Worn in every waking moment of Genmyou's life, this clothing is his normal attire. Despite the use of the word normal this garb is nothing of the sort. It is fire retardant, heat repelling, waterproof, and is durable to ridiculous levels. Strangely, the cloth never seems to take damage, even if Genmyou does, this leads one to believe that damage is transfered through the cloth but never actually damages it. This is true and is the work of fuuinjutsu being weaved in patterns onto the inside and outside of the robes. Additionally, the Gen'ei no konryou are conductive allowing him to conduct his 'raiton' techniques or pure chakra through them. The last notable property of this garb is its properties of concealment. Namely the robe distorts his chakra to the senses of doujutsu and sensor nin. This effectively means that unless the sensor nin is incredibly adept and has prime focus, they will receive a headache and be smoothly redirected around his location. Possessors of doujutsu have a hard time looking upon him as well, but are otherwise unaffected. Sharinga and Rinnegan are unaffected, whereas the Byakugan is effectively useless against it.
Special Traits Genmyou is no normal individual and as such his chakra is incredibly unique. Not only is he incredibly difficult to sense even with doujutsu, his chakra's unique state tends to give sensory nin a headache and as such they tend to have a lot of trouble pinpointing his position. Additionally where his normal chakra openings would be, there are actually 3. His body seems capable of releasing chakra from many different places in comparison to a normal individual. Genmyou also appears to have a rather high chakra level in addition to being able to use shape manipulation much quicker than most. It should be noted that Genmyou is immune to his own lightning affinity (he can channel it through his body without being harmed) and that lightning jutsu of C rank or below will not cause him harm. Last of all he appears to be especially durable and is very quick on his feet. It should be taken into mind that Genmyou's specialties are firstly in fuinjutsu, secondly in kenjutsu(with a proficiency in defensive taijutsu), and thirdly in ninjutsu.
Name of Kekkei Genkai: Tukkumu shijun(突っ組む至純'To strive for Absolute purity'). Fuen Ametsuchi(敷衍 天地'Amplification of Heaven and Earth') Clan: Unknown. Zoukasari. Description: Appearing to modify any natural affinities that the inheritor possesses, but this is not it's sole capability. This kekkei genkai, known as Tukkumu shijun, appears to allow Genmyou advanced control over essentially all of his chakra's aspects. This has apparently altered his natural affinity as well as allowing him, due to extended research and training, to utilize 'pure' chakra. Due to his skill in fuuinjutsu he is capable of effectively programming this purified energy form with purpose utilizing seals and the like. His control over his chakra system is so great that he can willingly pure, fluctuate, speed up, or slow down the flow of chakra within his body to his will. ========================================= Techniques:
Fire Sealing Method: Though the fuuinjutsu is specified to fire he has modified this technique, allowing it to seal other elemental jutsu as long as they are below S rank. Each respective seal can only store one jutsu at a time.
Chidori Nagashi(Chidori current): Rather than utilizing chidori he simply channels lightning chakra into his aura and focuses it into flowing currents of lightning that have the same effect.
Name of Technique: Agarisagari(上がり下がり'Fluctuation'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: B Range: Contact. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 3. Description: By studying and modifying the Gogyo Fuin(Five Elements Seal), Genmyou has developed a technique that utilizes the concept of disrupting other seals and by extension chakra. Unlike the Gogyo Fuin, this technique disrupts chakra even if there are no other seals present on the victim. When the Agarisagaro is placed on an individual it will impede the movement of chakra by disrupting the chakra path ways and causing them to fluctuate randomly. This makes it twice as difficult to utilize ninjutsu or to generally focus and control chakra.
Weakness: If the seal is damaged it will be rendered useless. Additionally it can be removed by the Gogyo Kaiin. The seal can be disrupted by firing chakra into the seal from the outside or focusing it in the seal till it breaks. Breaking this seal by focusing chakra and overloading it is considerably difficult and will waste chakra due to the fact that the fluctuations make it hard to focus and direct chakra.
====================
Name of Technique: Fuin no kumokui(吹いんの雲杭'Seal of the Spider Bite'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: A. Range: Contact. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 0. Description: By utilizing his chakra Genmyou is capable of placing a seal on a tag or an opponent directly that effectively acts like a crack in the victim's chakra system. This causes chakra to slowly leak from the victim's body.
Weakness: Damaging the seal by burning it or cutting it will cease the effects of the jutsu.
====================
Name of Technique:Junikari Kuchiyose(樹に借り口寄せ'Pure Anchor Summoning'). Type of Jutsu: Space-time Fuininjutsu. Rank: C-B. Range: N/A. Nature Type:Pure chakra. Handseals: 3. Description: By studying the Kuchiyose no jutsu and imlementing the use of his pure chakra with it, he is effectively able to program his pure chakra and use 3 handseals in order to summon a specified object -and only an object- to a designated location. The location is designated by a localization of his pure chakra. This technique takes such a small amount of chakra that it is completely negligible.
Weakness: This technique can only summon to where the specified chakra is located. Additionally, if the chakra is used for a long range summoning the jutsu will become increasingly more taxing with the increase in distance. This jutsu is also unable to summon anything over the size of a person in mass and weight.
====================
Name of Technique: Fuin furidashi(吹いん振り出し'Seal infusion'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: D-S. Range: Physical or chakratic contact. Nature Type:Pure chakra. Handseals: 0. Description: Essentially Genmyou has such a mastery of his purified chakra that as long as something is either within his aura (such as his blank tags or scrolls) he is capable of inscribing seals on them. If he is touching the object it takes less time than if it was in his aura, specifically direct contact is 2x as effective as indirect(aural).
If mentioned in a seal, these will be different, otherwise these apply.
D Rank: Aural contact takes 2 seconds (afterwards the seal is useable) and direct has no charge. C Rank: Aural contact takes 4 seconds and direct takes 2 seconds. B Rank: Aural contact takes 8 seconds and direct takes 4 seconds. A Rank: Aural contact takes 12 seconds and direct contact takes 6 seconds. S Rank: Aural contact takes 16 seconds and direct contact takes 8 seconds.
Weakness: Without contact this technique is useless, additionally the more complex the fuinjutsu (higher ranked) the longer it takes for this to work.
====================
Name of Technique: Tenkō(転向'Switch'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: D. Range: N/A. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 3. Description: This technique is a small set of interlaid lines and circles that can be applied to any of his fuinjutsu. Effectively, this allows him to activate or deactivated a fuinjutsu's effect by preforming 3 hand seals. This is always utilized in regards to his fire sealing method techniques and has the effect of allowing him to release the jutsu from the scroll or otherwise object.
Weakness: It has no effect by itself and has normal seal weaknesses.
====================
Name of Technique: Fuin kakari(吹いんかかり'Seal linking'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: D-C. Range: N/A. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 0. Description: This is a very simple technique which allows the individual to link seals. This is typically used when regarding summoning seals and allows an object to be transfered from one seal to another through this technique.
Weakness: It has no effect by itself and has normal seal weaknesses.
====================
Name of Technique:Tsuuro shougeichiten(通路商芸地点'Pathway blocking point'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: B. Range: Contact. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 4. Description: An interesting technique, Tsuuro shougeichiten effectively acts much like a strike from the gentle fist style in that once applied it blocks chakra. Unlike the Lion closing roar or similar techniques however, this seal instead blocks chakra in such a way that the path is effected much like the blood stream is by a blood clot. This effectively means that overtime Tsuuro shougeichiten causes a blockage in the chakra stream which can create a build up in pressure. This varies in how long, but the more chakra that is being used/the faster the flow of chakra, the quicker this will occur. If the seal is not removed this blockage can effectively rupture a chakra pathway and cause chakra to rampantly flow into areas of the body where it should not be, this is incredibly painful. Additionally, if the seal is removed -of course depending on how early after it is applied- the chakra blocked will suddenly rush to move and fill the space. If the seal was placed near a chakra exit, this can cause chakra to randomly eject from the victim's body and thus waste their chakra.
Weakness: The seal will break after a certain amount of chakra has built up as the pressure acts about the same as overwhelming the seal with chakra. If the seal is damaged or removed it's effects are nullified. This seal requires some of the user's chakra to be stored within the seal in addition to the effort needed to create the seal.
====================
Name of Technique: Ryuutsuuro Fuin(流通路吹いん'Dragon-pathway seal'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: A. Range: Contact. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 5. Description: By executing the 5 hand seals, forming the seal on something or with his chakra and applying it the user effectively boosts the victim's abilities. The victim's chakra system speeds up and is improved in it's ability to release chakra thus allowing their body to be faster and stronger. This also means ninjutsu seem to unexpectedly come out stronger than normal, the effected part will usually not notice the difference due to adrenaline. After the three minute mark they'll begin to feel tired and within the next 2 minutes fatigue will set in.
Weakness: This technique can only be overloaded with chakra if the user can focus their chakra to the seal rather than letting it flow. Additionally the seal can be removed or damaged to cease it's effects, though any chakra used before hand will still have caused some portion of the desired effect. This jutsu takes around 1 minute to fully activate and thus seems more gradual. A-S ranked individuals can forcibly slow their chakra system and skilled B rank individuals may be able to do so as well.
====================
Name: Hirukigō(蛭記号'Leech-symbol'). Type: Fūinjutsu. Rank: B. Range: Contact. Hand Signs: 5. Description: Hirukigō, once activated will continuously pull chakra from any available source unless blocked by another seal. While this makes it incredibly useful to sap chakra from enemies it also comes with the unfortunate side effect of draining the user's chakra when they are of insufficient skill to properly control the technique or do not possess a seal to block this process.
====================
Name: Surikomi no Jutsu(刷り込みの術'Imprinting technique'). Type: Ninjutsu; Fūinjutsu. Rank: C. Range: Hand Signs: 0-5. Description: A technique allowing a seal user to imprint chakra onto an object in such a format that a seal can be created on the given surface or in a prefabricated way wherein a seal is automatically placed upon the use of the technique, Surikomi no Jutsu is held within Keikoku's scarf first and foremost, though she does have a pair of leather gloves that allow him to achieve the same results.
This technique requires 8 seconds of focus when the user possesses chakra control or fūinjutsu talent of equivalent rank. For each rank higher than the technique's own the user may subtract 2 seconds of prep time due to the increase in skill. Should even a small sliver of foreign chakra be channeled through the imprinted chakra before it manifests as a seal the technique is disrupted. The handseals required for the technique decrease as skill increases. Full mastery allows an individual to shed the limitation of handseals entirely.
====================
Name: Mahi hyōshō(麻痺表象'Paralysis emblem'). Type: Fūinjutsu. Rank: D. Range: Contact. Hand Signs: 1. Description: An exceptionally simple seal, Mahi hyōshō causes whatever chakra is in contact with it to stop moving into new locations. As such the chakra in a person's body can properly circulate, but cannot be removed from their chakra network and their physical body is similarly unable to move as their chakra system is essentially locked in the space it is occupying upon the application of the seal.
While a less common use of the technique, a skilled shinobi could potentially use this technique to counter some forms of ninjutsu or use it to establish defenses of a sort. It is thought that this technique was, and perhaps still is, essential to the creation of barriers. While considered a D rank technique due to its miniscule chakra drain on the user, the technique is effective even on higher level techniques all the way up to B rank. Nonetheless should the seal have no remaining medium or should it be disrupted by a sudden and skillful spike of chakra it can, and likely will, break.
====================
Name: Dōtai gyōretsu(導体行列'Circuit matrix'). Type: Ninjutsu; Fūinjutsu. Rank: C. Range: Contact. Hand Signs: N/A. Description: A bizarre technique designed to create specific channels or pathways of chakra in a body or object, Dōtai gyōretsu requires intense chakra control. With it a skilled individual may create chakra pathways inside of their body that can be utilized for different purposes or cause a variety of effects. A master of the technique can layer fuinjutsu upon this technique applying specific traits and properties to chakra that moves through the 'circuits' created by the technique. Currently Keikoku is not skilled enough in the techniques use to do this. However, the technique acts as an amplifier to him already fairly impressive chakra control as well as a tool of sorts.
The technique has been displayed to speed up, slow down, and divert the flow of chakra in various mediums. When utilized the technique creates a series of lines and interwoven symbols on the surface of the affected person or item. Any property or effect that the user is already capable of causing with their chakra can be achieved via this method and/or amplified by such.
====================
Name of Technique: Denkou Ooi(でんこう多い'Lightning Mantle'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: A. Range: N/A. Nature Type: Lightning Handseals: 8. Description: Through studying lightning release armor and then utilizing his ability to conduct lightning through his body with no ill effects, Genmyou is capable of making a mantle of lightning around his body and within. This mantle allows him to move at high speed, though nowhere near as fast as lightning release armor, it takes a rather skill individual to track his movements without the aid of a doujutsu. This jutsu essentially amplifies his speed and strength, the strength aspect is much weaker than the speed. If an individual comes into contact with the mantle they will find themselves damaged, be it through burns or shocks.
Weakness: This jutsu, though not all that chakra taxing, makes it difficult to utilize other jutsu while it is active. Prepared jutsu do not count, additionally Denkou Ooi only lasts for a maximum of three minutes and has a cooldown time ranging from 30 seconds to 1 minute.
====================
Name of Technique: Inadzuka(稲塚'Flash of Lightning'). Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu. Rank: E-A. Range: N/A. Nature Type: Lightning. Handseals: 3. Description: Inadzuka is a raiton technique that by itself can either be used much like a chidori, or can be fired off in a bolt of lightning. This rank, depending on the charge time, will be stronger or weaker and can thus vary in it's damage.
E Rank: With no charge time at all, this rank of Inadzuka can be spammed at will, but does no damage. It causes a slight prickle of electricity if it hits, but otherwise only forms static in the air.
D Rank: This rank has a 5 second charge time and no cool down. It causes a light shock that would cause the body to hesitate and bristle slightly. This rank also causes static to gather towards it, hinting that it may be slightly magnetic.
C Rank: This rank has a 10 second charge time and no cool down time. It causes a stun effect if it hits and it gathers enough static to form a D rank lightning jutsu. The static can be felt slightly, but otherwise has no effect at all.
B Rank: This rank has a 20 second charge time and a 10 second cool down time. A stun effect lasting 10 seconds is caused in addition to burn damage, possible piercing, and normal lightning damage. Additionally the static gathered is equal to the dispersed form of the C rank technique and is now obviously felt, it still has no effect.
A Rank: Getting hit by this rank, which is the highest form of this technique, causes incredibly painful damage and would make a chuunin likely pass out and cause a jounin a rather dangerous amount of damage. If it hits it becomes painful to move afterwards. This rank has a 30 second charge time and a 20 second cool down time, additionally the static gathered is equal to the dispersed B rank technique.
Weakness: The charge times, cool down, and relative weakness of the technique in general.
====================
Name of Technique: Kawa no Shijun(革の至純'Streams of absolute purity '). Type of Jutsu: Kekkai Shape-manipulation ninjutsu. Rank: C-B. Range: 50 yard(250 foot) radius. Nature Type:Pure chakra. Handseals: 2. Description: This technique allows Genmyou to exude his 'pure' chakra and then control it to form streams of energy that act much like water. These 'streams' of chakra are incredibly conductive of any kind of jutsu whether they are his or not, and he is capable of conducting or utilizing other jutsu through this.
Weakness: This technique can easily amplify ANYONE's jutsu that passes through it.
====================
Name of Technique: Gateway of the Ouroboros. Type of Jutsu: Barrier ninjutsu. Rank: B Range: N/A. Nature Type:Pure chakra. Handseals: 6. Description: By utilizing his barrier rods, Genmyou is capable of using this technique to set up a barrier of varying size and shape. Typically the barriers will be in the rough shape of a box/cube, but they can vary in shape. These barriers work by connecting barrier rods with a flat plane of chakra. This process means that if an individual is caught between two barrier rods while they are forming a barrier they could very will be cut in half or the like. These barriers are incredibly effective against chakrabased attacks. Lightning affinity jutsu below B rank will conduct into the 'pure' chakra and be channeled throughout the barrier. All other affinities can have their desired effect.
Weakness: Powerful taijutsu techniques or piercing attacks can easily cut, break, or pass through the barrier

Name of Technique: Douji kaido(同時開度'Synchronous divergence'). Type of Jutsu: FuiNinjutsu. Rank: S. Range: Direct or indirect contact. Nature Type:Pure chakra. Handseals: 16. Description: Douji kaido, a technique created some years after Genmyou's study with the Antare clan, it is a technique to be feared by all those who posses an advanced affinity. The jutsu is simple, it is a seal, that after being conducted through his chakra using Fuin furidashi, is capable of essentially tearing merged affinities apart. This technique works through the seal quickly infecting the jutsu with Genmyou's 'pure' chakra, latching onto the intermingled affinities, and then causing a divergence which splits the jutsu in half, -altering it's trajectory- and destroys the synchronicity of the affinities by doing so.
Weakness: Despite the explanation of Fuin Furidashi, this technique takes 10 seconds to charge if done so directly and 20 seconds if activated via his aura.

Name of Technique: Ijū no tsūshin(移住の通信'Signals of Transmigration'). Type of Jutsu: Supplementary ninjutsu/Forbidden Technique(?). Rank: C-S. Range: 100 mile radius or within magnetic field. Nature Type: Denjiton and/or Lightning. Handseals: Variable. Description: Potentially a forbidden technique when utilized at its strongest, Ijū no tsūshin is a technique devised by the Kanagata clan, but released to the public. It is one of few that is actually useable by anyone, rather than just by one of the two most masterful lightning clans. A largely variable technique in regards to application, Ijū no tsūshin is executed utilizing handseals only when the user's skill is exceptionally low. The amount of handseals varies depending on user skill, complexity of the technique's application, and distance. Cutting to the point, Ijū no tsūshin allows the user to transmit subtle electrical signals via chakra. One of the primary uses of Ijū no tsūshin is in the vein of nigh telepathic communication by sending electrical signals from one individual to the other. This application is B rank at least as it requires incredible mental focus and chakra control so as not to accidentally use too much electricity and thus damage the brain. While most users of Ijū no tsūshin are only capable of communicating rudimentary orders over only twenty or so meters, those capable of utilizing the technique at A rank are able to transmit signals over 10s of miles of distance. The further away the individual, the less complex the signals must be with few exceptions.
The last, and forbidden, use of this technique is effectively mind control, which is considered a technique only in the grasp of a select few, most of which are members of the Kanagata clan. This mind control is utilized via the user transmitting a set of continuous electrical signals of extreme complexity, thus allowing them to effectively fire nerves strategically, and even highjack an individual's brain and use it to further transmit signals once highjacked. This application is considered S rank and is typically used only as an interrogation technique, having been forbidden in all other scenarios.
Weakness: While not limited in its range or the complexity of the “commands,” or the detail of its communicative abilities, and certainly not possessing a high chakra cost barring its S rank use, Ijū no tsūshin is not an easy technique to maintain. While its chakra cost is not great, every use takes a sliver, and continuous use, even for most masters, threatens to cause the user to become less and less aware of the amount of chakra going into the process. Additionally, due to the sheer complexity of translating “words,” and concepts directly to the brain of another individual via electrical signals, even for the sake of mere communication, this technique takes a level of focus for all, but the most masterful users that makes it largely useless in combat as it would only allow most individuals to give very simple commands, if that. Lastly, when using the S rank form of this technique, a given user is typically incapable of manipulating more than one individual at a time and almost always must remain entirely immobile while doing so. When controlling another person their own senses and awareness of their surroundings are lowered considerably making them more vulnerable to both genjutsu and surprise attacks.
It should be noted that in addition to the aforementioned weaknesses, this technique can be disrupted in several other notable ways as it only works properly when conducting through air. As such, the signals carried by the electricity will be distorted too greatly to be used if they must travel through three meters of dense material or any liquid. Should an individual be cloaked in lightning chakra or have it running through their body the technique will be unable to take over their body, or will be drowned out by the stronger electrical currents. Lastly, individuals with exceptional chakra control can treat even the S ranked technique much like a genjutsu and fluctuate their chakra continuously to disrupt the jutsu's control long enough to reassert their own.

Name of Technique:Idou no Himotsuki(移動の紐付'Removal of Restriction'). Type of Jutsu: FuiNinjutsu. Rank: B. Range: 6 meter radius. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 5. Description: Utilizing his blade, Genmyou channels a fuinjutsu through it and/or stores one within and utilizes this later. Once prepared with hand seals, Genmyou will stab his blade into the ground and call out this technique's name. Once done the seal will appear inscribed around where the blade's location of piercing/contact. He will quickly say the name of the seal and it will expand outwards covering a space with a 6 meter diameter with the blade at it's epicenter. Anyone who comes into contact with the sealing area will be affected by whichever fuinjutsu has been placed therein. The seal for this technique appears as the normal seal (seen in the link) overlaid with whatever seal he is using.
Weakness: This technique can only be held as long as his blade remains in the ground. Once one or more individuals enter the area of sealing it begins to drain Genmyou's chakra to fuel whichever fuinjutsu are being utilized. This technique can only remain active for up to 4 minutes, this can vary in relation to which fuinjutsu are being utilized through it.

Name of Technique:Chiten ijū no Jutsu(地点移住の術'Space Transmigration Technique'). Type of Jutsu: Space-time Fuinjutsu. Rank: S. Range: Contact. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 6. Description: A rather simple fuinjutsu as Space-time techniques go, Chiten Ijū no Jutsu works by linking two spots, and only two spots to one another spatially via a sort matter swap. Essentially, one seal, upon contact with the user after being placed on a surface and activated via 6 hand seals, will scan all the information, energy, and matter of the individual, and then alter its locational information by swapping it with an equivalent amount of space. Upon appearing at the location of the second seal, the user must step off of the symbol within the space of 2 seconds or they will be returned immediately to their prior location as the space switches back. This also means that the seal typically works one way unless activated from one end, the space swapped, then a person steps onto it, but this requires reliable instantaneous communication between the two areas.
Weakness: Technically a one way jutsu. It is not very useful in combat either unless one prepares the battlefield prior and allows each seal to charge. Additionally, these seals charge solely with natural energy as otherwise they would require too much chakra to function regularly.

Name of Technique:Kōshin kankei(交信関係'Communication link'). Type of Jutsu: Fuinjutsu. Rank: A. Range: Contact. Nature Type: N/A. Handseals: 12/1. Description: To apply this seal to something or someone, the user preforms 12 handseals and moulds inscribes the necessary sealing formula onto whatever they wish to create the seal upon. Once inscribed, this seal, via contact if it is on a surface, or via a single handseal if on a person, allows anyone attached to the network to communicate telepathically. In actuality, Kōshin kankei works by one person speaking, and the sound of their words being transmitted, via chakra, through space directly to any corresponding seals, thus manifesting as sound information to the ears. As such an individual can whisper, but the sound will flawlessly reach anyone connected to it due to the seal translating it into audible sound information and sending it directly to the ear.
Additionally, it should be noted that Kōshin kankei can be utilized to transmit sounds over an area as well as to a specific individual. The seal is typically written with a small difference per individual allowing different people to be contacted via small variations in chakra, or sometimes, simply by stating their name. This is the equivalent of speaking over different frequencies and as such transmitting messages to multiple people is the equivalent of aligning everyone's frequencies so that everyone hears the same things.
Weakness: Requires a small amount of chakra to be utilized. The seal must not be damaged for it to remain functional. Requires preperation and is generally not used for combot purposes. Advanced uses of the technique require exceptional chakra control.
Personality: An esteemed member of the noble family of Kuchiki, Harime is a proud and aloof individual, preferring to rise above her emotions as a show of maturity and superiority among others. In this way she upholds a facade of cold, uncaring apathy, looking at the world through a lense of objectivity and logic. Still, despite her efforts, no one is perfect, as beneath the surface Harime is just as much a young girl as any other, with wishes, dreams, and aspirations. Among her flaws is her haughty nature, made more noticeable by her proper manner. Still, beyond these things is a girl desperately trying her utmost to rise up and do proud to her family, in particular her father to whom she holds immense adoration.
Beyond the mask of nobility is a secret love for excitement and a drive to rise above the rabble and distinguish herself to society. Still, she is a rather lonely soul, as her position drives her to push most away with the facade of cold that she drapes about herself, causing most to flee her and thus depriving her of friends that, deep down, she so sorely wishes she had.
History: "There is room for both beauty and cruelty in this world. Whether the two are equal however, is hard to tell," – Kuchiki, Harime.
Raised as the scion of the noble family of Kuchiki, Harime has been pushed to do her utmost for her entire life. Everything from her daily activities, to social interactions have been carefully watched and graded by her mother and father both. She has been groomed for greatness, and while she bears this burden proudly, it is a heavy one, and she is young. While she never complains or protests the harsh expectations laid for her by her predecessors, and parents, she is secretly weary of it all, wishing she could just live a normal life...as a common girl. Still, she is a proud girl, and while her brief moments might be spent daydreaming of another life, she instead spends them training, so as to hide the hard lump she feels in her heart.
Enrolled in the academy early on, Harime did stunningly in all fields however, at the behest of her father, was pushed to focus her efforts on the art of combat and synchronicity with her zanpakuto. Still even when she discovered her blade's name and proved to her father that she could achieve shikai, she was given oh so little recognition.
With each continued success her father merely raised the bar and she withdrew further into her aloof facade, trying to impress him with maturity, and hide from her own emotions.
As she neared her last year of the academy she felt immense relief, but also building trepidation. Her fears were realized when, upon graduating, her father made no effort to show that he was happy with her effort, he merely nodded, a look in his eyes saying that it was to be expected, she was a Kuchiki after all.
She cried that night. Only a year later, after she'd been assigned to the 7th division, the academy called on her and a girl who had been one of her underclassman, by one year, for a demonstration to the Academy's new entrants. For no reason other than boredom, and perhaps the tiny hope that her father might see her and recognize her skill, she decided to participate. That was the day she met Rēku.
Giggling merrily as she skipped into the arena, Rēku looked upon the new students at the academy. They were all...Older than her...Why couldn't there just be one, just one, person that was her age? Oh well it didn't matter one way or another. Then there was the arena. What they had prepared outdoors for this wonderfully pointless event was actually quite nice! You had some free pillars, a couple arch ways, it was plain, ordinary, and they even had sand in the pit to make them pretend to feel safer even! Then there was the instructor introducing Rēku and her opponent. It was a normal speech about how they were two of the top students of their class, blah blah, woof woof. He ranted a lot, but it was to be expected. After all the instructors had no other true talent then babbling to students. Rēku jumped up and down waving to the new students still giggling happily though.
Having entered at the same time as her would-be competitor, Harime's cold blue eyes drifted over the crowd, their gaze uncaring even as they returned to the instructor who stood between them. She said nothing, made no movements, 'cept those of her eyes, while she stood there...waiting. She was not what one would call a patient girl, but she was not impatient either. No, she lay somewhere inbetween, always waiting for the right time, or perhaps simply waiting for something worth her time at all. Nothing had appeared yet, and she did not expect to be surprised here, though such might be a nice change from the monotany of the world.
It hardly mattered. Nothing did. After another minute of the instructor's gibbering, her voice cut through his as her cold eyes lay upon him, "May we begin Ousu-san, I tire of waiting." The man turned to meet her eyes, but the moment he did he regretted it and turned away, taking a moment to regain his wits and speak to the crowd, "Without further ado, we shall begin the demonstration. Stay outside the bounds of the arena, we wouldn't want any accidents," his voice lilted joyfully before he used shunpo to exit the area himself.
Safely beyond the boundary he nodded to the two and called out, "You may begin!"
Harime's eyes turned to Rēku, as devoid of interest as they always were. Waiting...watching...judging.
This was her way.
Rēku was already getting more excited than she probably should've, or at least that's probably what everyone was thinking from her overly happy appearance. She wasn't overdoing the whole giggly happy kid routine was she? She shrugged it away in her mind doing a handstand while waiting on the instructor to finally shut up. Seriously, did they really need to rant this freakin' much? Then the other girl cut him off, thank god for that, and he got his boring self out of the way. Rēku finally ended with a cartwheel to stand up straight as the fool finally began the...what was this again...? Bout? Spar? Play? Ummmm...Demonstration! That was it! Rēku giggled once more gripping her zanpakuto's tsuba with two fingers looping through the holes where the floor design was to slowly begin sliding out her best friend excited to wake them. "Let's try and make this good, what do ya say?" She says innocently.
Her head tilting almost imperceptibly to the side, Harime's eyes briefly slid over the girl from top to bottom, then back to her face, looking into the graduate's purple eyes. Her gaze stayed on there, gazing at the eyes whose color was far too royal for the girl whose head they lay within. "That's not up to me," Harime replied dryly, her right hand gracefully drifting to the hilt of her blade, which was held in the sash on the left side of her waist. Her left hand hovered just over the opening of the sheath at her side. After a moment of brief thought, she spoke again, "I hope you're going to stop your foolishness now, and fight, because I'm growing quite...bored."
Rēku frowned like the child she was. "You know...You're not too fun..." Rēku finished pulling out her zanpakuto from its sheath by the tsuba twirling it slowly until after a couple of flips she was holding her zanpakuto horizontally infront of her with her right hand smiling. 'If miss boredom wanted to be so dull then so be it' Rēku slipped her tongue out of the corner of her lip smirking. 'Time to put a smile on her face...' Rēku then continued to lick the blade, tsuba to point. "Careful what you wish for...Devour and create...Ryūshi Tōzoku..." As a result Ryūshi Tōzoku began to glow a bright pinkish-purple color as the blade shrinks down to twenty-seven inches in length the glow dying down but not fading completely. Rēku grins as sparkles of pink and purple light seem to slowly exude from the blade.
"How crass," she mocked boredly as she drew her blade from its sheath, slowly, effortlessly. It was more like the blade was an extension of her body, than a tool for her use. Stepping towards her opponent, Harime began crossing the distance with a kind of elegance not often seen in many her age. One might have said it was a sign of maturity...or perhaps the result of a harsh regiment put in place by the noble house of Kuchiki.
It was the former.
"Rejoice," Harime said with her usual tone, "You are fortunate enough to witness my blade." With her meaning expressed, the girl let the tip of her zanpakuto enter its sheath once more. "Tesselate," with the phrase begun she withdrew the blade from its sheath, reiryoku now attached to its tip, "...Reitō seishin(冷凍精神 'Frozen spirit')." The tip emerged from her sheath and with it a large wisp of reiryoku came into view, its light blue shimmer drifting about the girl, always staying several feet from her form. There was a light shimmering as light was refracted against hundreds of miniscule ice crystals, which drifted down through the air and drapped the young shinigami's clothes, turning them a shade of pure white that one might describe as heavenly in its nature.
Her eyes resting once more on Rēku as she continued forwards, never increasing her pace, but never stopping. There were only three meters left between them. She was silent throughout.
Watching...
...Waiting...
...Judging.
She was a Kuchiki after all, and this girl was but a member of a fallen noble house. She was despicable.
Rēku blinked a couple times. Did this girl want to kill her with boredom? Technically she had a decent shikai release. It looked somewhat nice though she was so ungraceful with the semi-beautiful release. Rēku lowered her blade into the sand letting it slide in and secretely release three blade bits into the ground hidden under the ruse of just sliding it through sand and spinning around and kicking up sand with the blade to get in Harime's eyes as one blade bit launches from the tip towards Harime's left leg to slow down her opponent's movement as Rēku giggles jumping backwards onto her hands then pushing up and landing on her feet hopping back a couple more feet after landing.
The moment the sand was thrust into the air towards her eyes didn't even make her flinch, as immediately each individual granule of sand froze, and as they did the wisp could be seen lazily passing before her form. The crystals of ice then continued to spread from the tiny grains of sand, connecting them in less than two seconds. The ground was touched as well, freezing over somewhat. Harime's eyes glanced down and she hopped upwards and to the side lightly, her clothes fluttering as she did, nearly touching the small wave-like formation of ice. However, rather than her foot truly touch the formation, it touched only hardened air, before pushing off of it and landing on the other side of the ice, where the ground was not frozen. Her head tilted once more as she continued to approach, never ceasing her movement, "Why do you run, Tatasuko?" She queried almost curiously.
As she did so the faintly glowing mist passed behind her, and where the glittering fragments of light fell, the ground froze.
Rēku giggles merrily as she jumps back onto her hands again, and once more also pushes off into the air landing on her feet hopping back another couple yards smiling cheerfully as the blade bit that had gone for Harime's leg before came around and went for her left side to wound her. If it were to come into contact with Harime then instead of a cut they would feel that part of their body ripped away including a millimeter of what isn't touched. "What? You don't like to fight me at a distance like this? Or is it just embarrassing having to exert more effort to beat a mere Tatasuko? Or is it the fact that you'll lose to one because you won't be able to handle my power?" Rēku teased sticking her tongue out tauntingly hoping that this would keep Harime's attention from the blade bit. Secretly the other three blade bits had tunneled to where Rēku stood now but continued backing up step by step as the ground weakens after her as she slowly lures Harime into her trap.
An eyebrow rose at her words, then both lowered, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Surely you jest," she said in a strangely mocking tone, had her eyes not narrowed, one might have thought she was ignoring what the girl had said. Her actions proved otherwise.
Blade raising before her, the ground freezing just behind, the wisp of reiryoku traveled to the tip of her outstretched blade as she drew a delicate line from left to right. Where the wisp passed ice was revealed by its movement, forming a thin sheet of the frigid reishi. "Tachi-mai(裁ち枚 'Cutting sheets')," she proclaimed, the tip of her blade pressing against the center of the ice blade she had created. As she did so, the wisp suddenly darted down towards her own legs, circling around far too close for comfort. She, instinctively, hopped forwards once even as the sheet of ice suddenly flew forwards in a surge of movement, cutting through the air to reach its target. However, the wisp was not quite fast enough and so the tiny blade managed to just barely nick the edge of her leg through her clothes. She gritted her teeth, trying not to show any sign of pain...or weakness, to her adversary.
She didn't like the feeling. She knew the little traitor would laugh, and she hated that even more than the feeling.
"Seishin!" She called out, and immediately the wisp responded, shrinking into a miniscule point and in the same moment vanishing outright. The girl had noticed the tiny blade now as it curved back around to strike her.
Too slow, she raised her blade slightly, but even as she did the wisp suddenly emerged from the opening of her sheath, shooting forwards as it did so, and striking the blade bit head on. In the same movement, Harime had jumped to her diagonally forwards and to the left, so as to distance herself from the bit.
She glanced forwards at Rēku and noticed that the blade appeared measurably shorter than it had been before. Harime's eyes narrowed at that fact and as they did she decided to abandon certain notions in favor of ending this quickly. It wouldn't do to disappoint her father.
Meanwhile the blade bit would find itself buried within the wisp that was Seishin, a physical manifestation of her sword spirit, or at least a partial one. While Seishin could not contest its fellow zanpakuto for long, it managed to slow the shard down for roughly five seconds, before the blade extricated itself, now covered in tiny ice crystals, its form reflecting far more light than before, rendering it considerably more visible than it had been prior. Harime intended to make use of this in the future.
Rēku giggled cheerfully at the sight of her blade bit ripping away part of Harime's flesh. The minute amount of reaction Harime expressed was good enough. "Having a problem over there?" Rēku asked tauntingly. At this point her blade bits inside the ground had made a crescent moat around Rēku and thus were ready to surprise Harime. The blade bits moved in between the two girls underground and began zig zagging in a pattern that would actually look somewhat awe inspiring if it could have been seen preparing to strike at Harime from underground if she tried to come at Rēku and would move to intercept too, though the sad thing for Harime was that if she just stayed still they would also pounce on her. The one above ground had broken free of the wisp. Rēku believed she was beginning to learn a decent amount of Harime's zanpakuto, but she knew better than to assume she knew it fully. The freed blade bit would move to strafe accross Harime's lower back leaving a particle trail all the way to, through, and after it attacked. The tsuba on Rēku's blade had also started to glow though this was more of a blue-purple color which really helped show the flower outlined by the tsuba. As to the troublesome blade coming towards Rēku she simple leaned back down a bridge to watch the blade trail over her head.
She began moving once more, her senses noting the tiny blade beginning to trail towards her once more. She raised her own blade and then pulled her arm backwards somewhat. In the moment that she did, the sheet of ice that had just flown over her adversary had began to drop towards the ground, having lost momentum. However, as she pulled, the particle thin string of frozen reishi connecting the ice to her blade became visible and it came back. The blunt inner edge of the ice sheet would slam into Rēku's back, pulling her forwards if she could do nothing against it.
However, her situation was far more dire than that. With the passing of Tachi-mai was brought the same crystals of ice that ever drifted from the wisp's form. They had already touched the sand leading from where Harime had stood when she'd fired, all the way to where the Tatasuko now stood. The ground froze, but not just on the surface, the ice traveled downwards and as it did, the little Kuchiki became aware of the other blade bits below. Immediately she shifted gears, lunging forwards and away from the blade bit that attempted to clip her back. The ice continued to spread, moving outwards from its formerly two meters wide path, spreading, in seconds, to a width of seven meters, with Harime jumping just over the surface, solidifying an invisible trail of reishi barely a milimeter above the ground. To Rēku this would have been essentially invisible due to the utterly tiny amount of space between foot and ground respectively. The effect would however make it appear almost as if Harime's feet were gliding across the ground, giving a dainty grace to her movements. She was closing the distance fast, but as she did she noted the movement beneath the ice upon, which she ran.
Left, right, whirling upwards were the tiny blades. "Seishin," she beckoned, taking in a deep breath and exerting a small layers of reiryoku upon her clothes and flesh. As the first blade emerged and struck, her blade struck it in kind, hitting it away. She caught the second as well, but the third nearly hit her, before the wisp engulfed it, swept around her and caught the other two as they circled back around. Harime felt a tiny smile, one that would be so subtle as to barely be seen, tug at her lips. The elation of battle had begun to touch her nerves, she couldn't help it. However, she would not be lost in it, this she must never do.
With every moment that passed the crystals of ice propagated, in the sand as well as on Reku's flesh. Soon it would be time.
"Seishin!" She called once more and the wisp, which had briefly circled back to catch the third blade and then flown several meters away to release them, now returned, vanishing, then emerging from her sheath anew.
The last blade bit, in the wake of the three that had attempted to strike her, through the air at her side from behind. She spun on her heel, slashing behind her even as she continued to slide backwards. Her blade struck the tiny shard, and as it did...the shard was sent flying many more meters away than it ought to have been. She continued her momentum, turning on the same heel as if she had been skating on ice, and done a spin as she slashed. She once more faced Reku, the distance almost closed now. It appeared that Harime was serious now.
Rēku had been wanting to test her theories, and she got what she wanted. The ice seemed to become attached to her body, sadly proving her theory right although it seemed to spread faster than she had anticipated. On top of that this lovely little blade of ice coming back towards which was fine. Rēku licked her lips and lifted her zanpakuto as the remaining twenty-three blade bits spark on each other as they fly out in random directions scattering particles in their wake as two interrept and take in the ice blade which seemed to slow a bit, not much, but a bit. This seemed to create a new colored particle, interesting indeed.
This third color seemed to flow out with the other particles, its shade a silvery blue. This could possibly change things for what she was about to do, but she would have to wait and see. The blade bits began to circle Rēku at a quickly growing pace surrounding her as she stands up in an almost tornado like fashion. The rising heat seemed to also slow down the spreading ice upon her which was a plus. "Well it's been fun..." Rēku mused giggling softly. "But I think it's time to wrap this up, after all...We are responsible individuals with duties to get to!" She says clearly teasing and mockingly. As she did this though the blade bits created a tornado of particles flowing around her, and they only seemed to grow in number as the blades spun faster and faster and steam could also be seen from the beat mixing with the ice. "Bankai..." As she spoke the word the particles seemed to start moving differently as the four blade bits near Harime had begun dancing together creating more particles. "Suisei Ryūshi Tōzoku..." Rēku hadn't shown her bankai up until this point, it had been her little secret, but now she wanted everyone to know, wanted people to finally realize that she wasn't just a little kid in the way, Rēku wanted them all to know, that they were the ones in her way. All of the particles in the area that had been created up until that moment that had been floating around seemed to suddenly surge into all of the blade bits closest to them. The ice that had been slowly trying to encase Rēku shattered and quickly evaporated due to the heat and pressure being exerted from Rēku and her zanpakuto. Once all the particles had been absorbed into the blade bits and everyone could see once more, they would finally notice that each blade bit glowed even brighter now. A vibrant pink light shining brightly from each individual blade bit and as they flew there was no longer a stream of particles left in their wake, no. Now they were moving even faster and without any trace at all.
Retreating somewhat as she noted the strange movements of the tiny blades, Harime moved to a distance of 2.5 meters, where she stayed, eyes narrowed slightly. Biting her lip for a brief moment, Harime's eyes darted about for a brief moment before settling once more on her opponent. "I assure you, my duties far outweigh yours, yet here I am, dragged by these imbeciles for a demonstration for the academy," she scoffed, the slightest of annoyance apparent in her voice. Then Reku said that fateful word, one that even she had to admit she was shocked to hear.
Her eyes widened slightly as the the transformation finished, the blade's name stated in its completed form. How, how could this undesirable little bitch have bankai?! Gritting her teeth and exhaling long and slow, Harime did her best to return to the calm in her mind. Letting one's emotions get the best of them was equivalent of weakness...and she was not weak. She refused to be. Turning away from the absurdity of an academy graduate possessing, no, insulting the sanctity of bankai, Harime raised her zanpakuto above her head, its blade vertical in orientation. As she did so, she closed her eyes, took in one more calming breath, and proclaimed, "Hyōmaku(雹幕 'Hail curtain')."
Immediately Seishin gravitated to her blade, whirling about its form with increasing intensity, as it did so, the tiny shards of ice built up, slammed together by the speed and cohesion of their form. Harime's eyes met Reku's just a moment before her blade whipped down to her side and she pushed forwards, Seishin's form having apparently vanished. All that was left behind were what appeared to be a small storm of tiny ice shards that circled her blade. Mindful of their continually growing size, though they grew slower than her normal ice had, Harime held her blade out away from her body.
Then, her ice notifying her of the instability of the ground, Harime pushed off and upwards, flying into the air as she did so and slashing upwards as her body moved in the same direction. Eight glimmering six inch long shards of jagged hail were thrown from the blade as she slashed, each leaving a glimmering trail of ice crystals behind. Harime was done playing with this girl.
Rēku smiled and giggled looking up at Harime lifting her free hand making a fist then lifting one single finger, then moving it from side to side mockingly. One of the blade bits that was now behind Harime but still beneath her and near the ground started coming back towards Rēku and Harime, well they all did--all four of them, but this one stayed near the ground and as Harime tried launching an assault at her angle in the sky a beam launched from the single blade bit intercepting and vaporizing the ice assault leaving no immediate trace of Harime's attempt to strike at Rēku who continued to just smile and giggle at the feeble attempt. "What a fun little game! Are you going to throw more next?" She says with a child-like voice and curiousity some in the audience if they could even hear Rēku might even think it was genuine, hopeful though Harime would pick up on the fact that it was a jab at her futile attempt had been. However, Harime didn't even blink, her gaze unwavering as, almost from thin air, four formations of ice began to form, far more rapidly than normal. Harime pulled the tiny strands that connected them to her blade, channeling her reiryoku into them and sending the four attacks forth.
Pressing reiryoku onto the surface of her feet as she began to fall, Harime made contact with the tiny threads and pushed off of them to soar further into the air. As she ascended she flicked her blade in several directions and with each movement one shard that rotated about her zanpakuto was flung in an apparently random direction, each striking something. Some merely hit the ground, while others careened into the pillars and box-shaped obstacles that were scattered about the field.
As each struck ice erupted from them, covering three meters of space almost instantaneously upon doing so, before the speed at which they spread slowed back to its normal pace. As the last shard was released Seishin once more took form, emerging from her sheath as a wisp. "Be careful what games you play, little girl," Harime retorted before letting herself fall once more, Seishin ever present. However, she had a long way to fall, as through her ministrations she had risen roughly 20 meters into the air.
Rēku frowned pouting Harime really was no fun. It wouldn't be fun if she was careful! Rēku quickly smiled giggling once more. As boring as Harime's personality was, she wasn't half bad to go a few rounds with. In fact Rēku hadn't had this much fun in a long time!
Watching her adversary frown as she fell towards the earth, Harime brought her blade in front of her chest, its alignment horizontal. Placing her hand on the back edge of the blade near the end, Harime spoke, her tone ominous, "Shimo no genzen(霜の厳然 'Grave of frost')." The effect was immediate. Pillars of ice sprung forth from every surface that her ice had touched: The boxes and pillars, the sand, and even some of the space around Reku herself, which had not melted from the release of her bankai. However, what was perhaps most dangerous about the technique was not what you could see, but what you couldn't. With each tiny movement that Seishin made, light refracted and reflected within and between a hundred or so spikes and pillars of pressurized ice. It was like the glare from snow on a sunny day in winter, only far more blinding.
Rēku had to give Harime credit, at least she had a zanpakuto that could create beautiful art since it was apparent that Harime had no true artistic value. The blinding light was not expected nevertheless...a smile came to her face and she licked her lips. "Go ahead, Ryūshi..." Since Ryūshi Tōzoku had already tasted Harime's blood she didn't require Rēku to guide her, in other words she was awake for the hunt. The three blade bits in their small group sped up and kept twisting and intertwining keeping in an almost majestic pattern of flight as they attempted to assault Harime on their own in addition to the blade bit that had been underneath Harime. To top it off three more separated from the tornado of blades which then changed its pattern to keep defending Rēku the best possible way for the number. The assaulting blade bits would then attack Harime, faster, with more agility, they would now slash and burn the opponent wherever they struck instead merely tearing away at their body. The best part? After the first assault was dealt with somehow by the first four the next three would step in, and of course Ryūshi Tōzoku would use her favorite method. Surround, cut them up a bunch, and if Rēku permitted, destroy...And because of the light, Rēku simply closed her eyes still giggling happily at the pure pleasure of the fight.
While Reku was blinded, Harime remained able to see, the light directed in such a way as to not interfere with her own sight. So it was in this way that the young shinigami managed to note that despite Reku's own blindness, her blade appeared to have no trouble tracking her down. Annoying, she thought even as she continued to plummet through the air. She only had two techniques left, and one of them only lasted for three minutes--hardly any time at all.
This would be it.
The tiny blades closed in. She struck at one, using the hit to push herself away in the air, then stepping on one of the nearly invisible threads of ice as she had before and pushing down and off of that to evade another flurry of blades. SHe couldn't do it forever, and she knew she'd never be able to attack if she had to continue defending.
So she tried something.
"Hyōmaku!" She stated, inciting the creation of fourteen shards of ice, all orbiting her blade. Using several threads and a twist of her blade, she entered a spin, slashing her blade out in all directions at once. As she did so, the shards flew about, each adjusted by a slight flick or shift of her blade. Each blade bit had two shards aimed just inches from its form and as they neared it the heat set them off, causing the shards to explode violently, their ice overlapping and creating seven cages of super dense ice around the blade bits. She knew they wouldn't last.
Exiting her spin, she pushed off of one more thread and shot downwards at high speed, but rather than aim at Reku herself, she slashed twice through the air, muttering under her breath. A moment afterwards three harsh impacts with the ground would come to Reku's attention, one behind and to her right, another behind and to her left and the other directly in front of her. After barely a half second the sound of movement through air could be heard from all three locations, approaching her. It was too bad she still couldn't see the flash of light.
Rēku just kept giggling. The noises she heard meant it was probably time. "Ryūshi Tōzoku I trust your judgement..." A simple thing to say, but all that is needed, after all the two had a strong bond, though that should be obvious given Rēku having obtained bankai already. Let Harime try, after all Rēku still had a few tricks up her sleeve.
From in front and to her right sheets of sharpened ice slammed into her barrier of blades, and from the left a blade batted away at the bits even as one of Harime's feet gently tapped a crystal of ice. Yet none of the three had been the true assault. It was the flash of light that was Seishin hurtling downwards at Reku that had been, and there was no time to dodge. Pinned from three sides and struck from above, Seishin would expand just two feet before striking, enveloping both combatants, and the remainder of Reku's tiny blades. The young Tatasuko would hear one word just before it did, "Shikoromo(死衣 'Shroud')." Then everything froze.
As their battle concluded, then interrupted by the actions of the Instructor, Harime could not help but be slightly surprised as her ice dissipated, revealing the glowing pink shield that surrounded Reku. They had tied, and as her eyes turned away, looking to the crowd where her father stood, watching, she bit her lip as he turned away.
Swallowing hard, her eyes turned back to Reku as she sheathed her blade where they stayed, bearly maintaining the facade of calm that defended her. "You're lucky I was holding back," she managed to say, disdain in her voice, before she turned away and strode gracefully from the arena—anger just barely apparent in the speed of her walk. What Reku wouldn't realize was that it was not just anger, but disappointment and sadness too.
She had failed her father again, and she knew that going home now would only earn her his cold stare, or a long, harsh lecture. So instead she went back to her division, where she closed the sliding door of her room, and froze it shut. No one dared enter for the duration of that night.
[insert captain – Harime interaction?]
Still, those were happier days, two years ago, when they had not yet been at war. Things are different now, and whether her father recognizes her or not, Harime's primary concern is survival. If she can manage that with dignity, perhaps the man will notice her after all.
Zanpakuto Spirit Personality: As cruel as the arctic winds, Seishin is unforgiving in her nature, never relenting and never giving any quarter. The spirit holds a certain fondness for her master though, hoping to help her where she can, but nonetheless she is a creature whose love is not expressed in gentleness, but through subtle cues hidden in her jagged icy exterior. It is in this way that Seishin has harshly pushed her counterpart to greater heights, though recognizing her talents and listening to her worries unlike her ungrateful father. Yes, Seishin is like a caring mother with a harsh sense of discipline and a strong penchant for tough love.
Shikai:“Tessellate,” Harime's cold voice drones, an inch of her blade slipping into its sheath, “...Reitō seishin(冷凍精神'Frozen spirit').” Its name stated, Harime pulls it once more from its sheath, and with it emerges a growing wisp of reiryoku. With its emergence, a gentle frost settles upon her clothes, bathing them in a glowing white that freezes and remains.
Abilities: Reitō seishin is a creature of order and purity, its master a being of stark and unyielding cold. These aspects mold its abilities, which lay within the glowing wisp of energy that drifts about its master's form. This wisp constantly emits tiny ice crystals, creating a trail in its wake. Should these crystals come into contact with anything 'cept air and their kin, they begin to tessellate, generating more and more crystals of ice, which rapidly engulf whatever they touch in beautiful fractals. However, this is not its only ability, for the frost may encroach upon the internal structure of what it touches, its ice forming within, rather than manifesting externally. In this case, the ice will attempt to bring its structure to a perfected state, increasing its durability and general effectiveness in any given area. Unfortunately, this perfection is fragile as the ice it is wrought from, and so it is doomed to destruction.
Beyond the wisp's primary functions, it will move to defend its master, as it is after all a partial manifestation of Seishin, her sword spirit. In close range combat, should an opening be noted, or a command given, Seishin will strike, in an attempt to make contact and spread its ice on Harime's opponents. Seishin's wispy form, while appearing fragile, is in actually rather robust as it is composed of one 1/10th of its master's reiryoku. However, what makes it difficult to destroy is the method through which it generates ice. In essence, Seishin uses the reiryoku of which it is composed to draw in surrounding reishi. As it is drawn in, the reishi is condensed into minuscule frozen crystals—a process which is fueld by the reiryoku from which it was create--it is for this reason that Seishin is so difficult to destroy as the ice within its form is so dense as to be exceedingly difficult to shatter or melt. It should be noted that direct contact, especially if prolonged, will generate ice over a surface at a drastically increased rate and density in comparison to merely coming into contact with the crystals that the wisp sheds. Lastly, while Harime may command Seishin both through their bond, or vocally, Seishin's movement and behavior is not directly under its master's control and so it will move in the way that it deems most effective, rather than what Harime considers such.
Should Seishin's form be destroyed, or dispersed by its master's command, the spirit may emerge once more from its sheath. However, each time it does so it requires at least 1/15th of Harime's reiryoku to do so.
Techniques Tachi-mai(裁ち枚'Cutting sheets'): Drawing a line through the air with her blade, the wisp following the motion, Harime creates a thin blade of ice. Once formed, she states the technique's name and taps the thin blade with her own, sending it flying forth at an impressive speed. As the ice sweeps through the air it leaves behind glistening crystals of ice identical to those which emanate from the wisp. While the thin sheet is fragile if struck, the ice is nonetheless capable of cutting through most mundane materials. Last among this technique's tricks is the almost invisibly thin thread of ice crystals which stretch from the point of contact, which drove the technique forth. This thread stretches all the way to Harime's blade, allowing for her to alter the trajectory of the sheet should she manipulate the thread with movements of her blade. It is a devious technique to match her zanpakuto's unforgiving and cruel nature.
Hyōmaku(雹幕'Hail curtain'): Holding her blade high in the air with its orientation vertical, the wisp gravitates to her blade then flies about it at high speed, the crystals that exude from its form creating anywhere between ten and forty-three shards of hail, each of a length of six inches. Following this, the wisp dissipates, staying as such for the duration of the technique. Should any of these shards strike a surface they erupt outwards to cover a three meters radius of space in a mere two seconds. Each of these shards, no matter their amount is connected to a tiny thread of ice crystals in the same manner is Tachi-mai. Not least of this technique's strengths is its reaction to assault should it be struck by energy. When such occurs a given shard will begin to grow rapidly, making it much more difficult to immediately destroy should the reiryoku be designed to damage or destroy. This effect is one of the results of using the wisp's condensed form to create attacks.
Shimo no genzen(霜の厳然'Grave of frost'): After freezing any measure of ground-space with the ice of Reitō seishin, Harime is able to call upon this technique at the cost of one fifth of her reiryoku. Upon the activation of the technique all surfaces coated, or frozen by, Seishin's ice undergo a rapid transformation as the growth of the ice is temporarily amplified several times. In addition to simply causing any patches of ice to increase greatly in size and density, Shimo no genzen may also cause spikes and pillars of ice to erupt from all laden surfaces. While Harime has not yet mastered this technique, it is capable of additionally refracting light between portions of ice, making it a blinding technique to be within the midst of. Furthermore, should she gain more control over its formation she is capable of aiming the various protrusions. While aware of these facts, she has not yet attained the control necessary to execute said functions thus limiting the effective power of this technique.
Shikoromo(死衣'Shroud'): Utilizing the wisp of her shikai Harime is capable of creating a dome with a radius of 8 meters max. This dome--or sphere--has two functions, it may either act as a defense, creating a super dense layer of Seishin's ice on the perimeter of the structure, or an attack, instead filling in the barrier entirely with ice. Regardless, this technique requires roughly 3/10ths of her reiryoku each time it is used due to the sheer density of ice and the speed at which it is generated.
Tsuki no namida(月の涙'Tears of the moon'): Perhaps the most powerful of her techniques, Tsuki no namida is an ability that is barely within reach of the young shinigami. By giving Seishin 3/5ths of her total reiryoku the spirit's manifestation rapidly expands, dissipating outwards for ten meters in every direction. As this occurs all moisture, and free reishi, in the air is frozen into tiny marbles of ice, which remain suspended for the duration of the technique. Each of these many marbles is connected to Harime's blade via minuscule threads of translucent blue reiryoku. Currently Harime can only maintain this area for one minute before Seishin collapses back into its normal state. Following its use Shikoromo, Shimo no genzen, and Hyōmaku are disabled for a duration of four minutes.
Tsuki no namida, when mastered can last a total of eight minutes during which the tiny crystals of ice that coat Harime's clothes resist the touch of their kin, making any portion of her body covered in clothes temporarily immune to the effects of her zanpakuto. It should be noted that this however comes at a steep cost, as the moment the technique ends, the ice on her clothes will begin to freeze through them and touch her flesh, gradually increasing her abilities till she is entirely frozen in ice. The only escape from this inevitably fatal effect is to seal her zanpakuto, and once she has done so she cannot release it for three minutes.
I'll take a look at your characters (in that link) in a few hours, reason being I've gotta get to work for the next three hours. Might use the magic nullifying thing to weaken her speed or something. I'll get back to you.
Yoshua, I understand the point you're making sits somewhere between the two points of view, though don't get me wrong my response wasn't one out of irritation in this case, I was just pointing out how certain uses of language can cause irritation and have done in the past.
Mmnk, just making sure. Not trying to be presumptuous or anything, was just trying to keep things chill haha.
No your not, you're biased and true objectivity doesn't exist.
No it's not, you've just received more resistance because you've entered an established community that is normally welcome, thrown your 'RPing experience' in everyone's face in a condescending manner, and been way too free with your insults. (which is how you've managed to irritate me.)
Ultimately, your point is invalidated by the fact that I spent most of yesterday arguing against the established rule-set and debating on Innue's side. LeeRoy has his own beliefs on the system, he isn't any-more representative of the community than anyone else.
Short story short, your own behaviour is responsible for the reception you've received from Arena, as is true of everyone, and despite the arguments spurred up constantly I've seen two or three new people express interest in what is by all accounts a very niche part of RPing.
So. How's that?
Also, vote Rilla 2k15.
The funny thing here is I've just kinda watched all this play out and while I've been in and out of the Arena a lot, there did seem to be more arguing/fighting then actual debate and willingness to accept outside opinions.
I see some of your statements as accurate, and your irritation is warranted I'm sure, but responding out of irritation, at least in my experience (which is no better than anyone else's, before you try and jump on my case misguidedly) is not the best idea if you want any sort of constructive conversation that's helpful or useful to anyone.
I don't agree with the use of Insular as what amounts to an insult, but some of Tuuj's points do kind of have some merit. Not all, but some.
And I am not the guy who tends to agree with the words of Tuuj.
Name: Vikel, Cere. Alias/Nicknames: Gender: Male. Age: Age Appearance: Race: Human–>Plus–>Shinigami. Rank & Division: Former 8th division Captain.
Additional Appearance Information:
Personality: He is an amusing person and is fairly playful even with enemies. He however holds grudges for quite a time which is one of his not so good qualities. He is known to smile a lot and has an up beat personality. He isn't necessarily condescending it's just that he doesn't actually have very many equals. He is all for justice and hates it when others or himself act "unjust". He also has an intense explosive anger that is fairly easy to reveal.
History: "" – Vikel, Cere
History: Cere, Vikiel what a story what a long tedious sorrow filled life-yeah he's strong but trust me it wasn't easy getting there. So let me tell you just how much effort, time, and trials it took him to get where he is now. So I'll start as some of the most famed stories do: "A long long time ago" during an era of chaos when the Gotei 13 was still fully establishing itself a boy was born. A boy not of the spirit but of the human world and this is where Cere's story begins.
When Cere was born he did not have it easy and his mother had it worse for she died in child birth, his stepfather aka his mothers 2nd husband however was alive and took him in feeling obligated to his dead wife. However he was not a very good father for he had fallen into an intense grief when Cere was only 3. Who he had thought as his father began drinking heavely and slowly became more and more violent and heavy a drinker. His father one day in one of his drunken fits was trashing their living room when Cere entered to ask him for a drink. His "father" turned to him and saw him only as another receptacle for his anger and beat the 3-year old senseless. Luckily for Cere the neighbors called the police because of the disturbing screams they heard coming from the Hikle(the last name of his step-father) household. The police came and knocked on the door but no answer came so they were forced to break down the door only to find that the father was laying on the coach with slits in his throat having killed himself after being driven insane by his grief.
The police also found Cere beaten and bruised with heavy injuries, in fact they rushed him to a hospital but by the time they got there he had died. They tried to resuscitate him but it was unsuccessful and he passed on at the ripe young of 3. However his troubles were far from over for now he was a plus and was stuck wandering around the world. In fact he didn't even realize that he was dead and he tried to talk to those of the living who he could still see. Of course none responded until one an old lady-an ancient lady could see him. She beckoned to him and fearfully he approached her but after several minutes he went to her and the 2 walked back to the old lady's house. Cere later discovered that the lady's name was "Miarna" and was actually an outcast from a place she called "soul society".
Cere listened on with intense interest and by the time she finished her story he was amazed by the old women who was actually something she called a "soul reaper". She told him she saw a spark in him that she had had when she was much younger. It stirred in her memories of her youth for now she was over 1000 years old and her former powers as a soul reaper had almost disappear from not being used for so long. However this boy who had a similar spark that she had caused her to reawaken inside powers long forgotten. So in a way she "raised" the boy(or rather his soul) with both strict discipline and soft love balancing it out as best she could. She soon found that despite the boy being dead he could move things with his energy which she called "reiatsu". Cere was fascinated with his new found abilities and began to experiment with them.
One day after a long while about 70 years to be exact(he now looked 7) he was experimenting with his powers in a park. His so called "Reiatsu" however drew the attention of 2 nearby hollows who in turn headed for the source of powerful energy. Miarna who had went to the store arrived to find a hollow attacking Cere and she jumped in its path. The hollow bite her entire middle and as she died from the fatal wound she looked to her adopted son with teared eyes, a smile, and these words "don't take the same path as I did" at this she died and the hollow devoured both her gigai and her soul completely. The other hollow however became enraged and ate the 1st hollow after which it turned its attention to cere with hungry eyes. Cere saw the look but instead of feeling fear for the humongous frightful hollow he felt anger welling up from his very core. The hollow attacked but its hand was slammed to the ground(keep in mind these are weak hollows) followed by its body which was being pushed down by a tremendous spiritual pressure. Cere's anger had burst from his core and spread out crushing all around him....including the hollow. Of course after this feat his courage waned and he ran away from the creature before it could recover.
He was not successful in his flight for his reiatsu was to obvious and he was constantly hunted by the hollows. He endured this for 20 more years upon which he now looked 10, finally at this age he was able to gain some semblance of control over his powers and could finally defend himself when he came upon the creatures called "hollows". After another 10 years(he's 11 at this point) he was swarmed by a sum of 20 hollows who had met up and made a pact(they were more like grandfisher level so they had some intelligence) to kill the boy and split him up between them. So the hollows all attacked Cere at once, Cere was able to hold them off for a while but he soon began to tire from over using his powers. Of course once again lady luck smiled on him and several black clad figures appeared before him and slayed the 20 infernal beasts.
The figures were shinigami and he only recognized what they were from what Miarna had told him in the past. The 3 shinigami turned to each other 1 nodded at the others and 2 of them left him with Cere. The shinigami turned back to cere and the boy noticed that the shinigami was wearing a strange badge of some sort around his arm-he was a lieutenant. Cere of course did not know this and just stared up at the shinigami's gleaming blade. After a short explanation from the shinigami about what he was going to do and where Cere would end up he used his blade to preform soul burial on him, finally sending him from the world of the living. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Several moments later Cere arrived in soul society in the zaraki district--yes that's right the absolute worst place he could have gone. It seemed lady luck only shined on him in his time of most need. Cere wandered around the place for days until he became extremely hungry and approached one of the men in the district who had a couple pieces of bread with him. Cere begged the man for some bread but was unsuccessful and ended up being beat down by the same man for even bothering him. However the man was surprised as he glanced back to see the boy he had so thoroughly beat stand back up looking defiant. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The 1st Encounter:
*The man turned completely back around to look at the beat up boy with a cruel smile*what's yer name boy*he called back to Cere as he looked at him with a smirk*
*Cere just stared at him defiantly and wiped some blood and dirt from his face. He felt his anger rising again and didn't completely understand why the man wouldn't give him a small piece of the bread. However no matter what the man would do he would not walk away without some food for he knew that in this place survival of the fittest was the only rule there was*
*the man sneered at the boy*tch you ask for bread and won't even give me something in exchang let alone your own name. Fool!!*he said with annoyance and then walked towards the boy at a fast pace. When he reached Cere he punched him so hard that he went flying into the wall of a shop. The man then saw that Cere still stood back up despite the pain, at this he ran over and kicked Cere several times*
*Cere fell to the ground in pain but endured it whilst he felt his anger rise again and again with every painful strike to his body. He knew soon that he would not be able to contain the anger*
*the man however was ignorant to any of this and simply kept beating Cere down whilst yelling dow at him with annoyance and contempt*Pathetic boy. Your rude and you make a look of defiance to ME!! the very one who you seek to gain food from*he spits on Cere as he kicks him in the side*you sicken me, your worse then a goddamn hollow*at this the man turned away from the beaten boy and began walking away*
*As Cere heard the mans words and felt the hits it reminded him of 2 events. 1.) The way his father had treated him and 2.) the hollow that had killed Miarna. The words were the final straw needed to light his inner fire and he stood. As he stood and looked at the man his reiatsu suddenly flared as his anger and released emotions erupted from his small body. The man's eyes widened as he was pushed towards the ground but was barely able to withstand it and stay standing. The man looked over his shoulder at the boy-Cere and saw that there was Reiatsu radiating off of the boys body and that wind was picking up and swirling in places. Cere had an angry and determined look in his eyes as he stared down the man. Now he finally spoke*my names Cere. Cere, Vikiel and I want some bread!*he said intensely despite his small stature and young age. The man's eyes widened in anger and he turned and ran towards Cere with a burst of adrenaline. However it didnt last for the as soon as the man came within a foot of Cere he collapsed at the boys feet spilling the bread onto the ground*
*Cere looked at the man and picked up the bread and left looking irritated and from that day on most left him alone due to the display he had made of the local "BA" of the area* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When Cere needed food he would always go to the so called "wrong people" and would end up fighting them for the food so with this through out his next 70 years(making him look 18) he gained remarkable fighting skills. He learned quickly through each battle but even with his strength he was still left with both scars of the flesh and mind. Also because of how infamous he became he couldn't gain a single wink of sleep because people who wanted to make a name for themselves or were just violent always clustered to him to kill or defeat him. Cere began to hate power and for a time he refrained from using his and instead developed his abilities with the blade for he had found a weapon when he defeated one of his opponents who had wielded a blade. The man who had wielded it however had not been very skilled which was why he had lost to Cere in the 1st place. However Cere hating death did not kill the man just as he did not kill any of his adversaries.
So for the next 10 years(he now looks 19) he instead used the blade to fight. He became proficient with the blade and felt stronger with it. However one day he witnessed something truly amazing. He saw a shinigami fighting another man within the rukongai and the 2's reiatsu had literally pinned Cere to the ground(heheheh guess who the 2 were). As he looked up at the 2 he noticed that there was a 3rd party a women with a staff that seemed to have the ability to change its length(hmmmm Moogle who has that ability). After a prolonged battle the man who seemed to be the better man and the women appeared to kill the other man. The mans body fell to the earth and slammed into a building destroying it and covering the body in rubble. The other man and the women with the staff left and Cere was finally able to stand but upon doing so he felt something...Something dark. The same reiatsu that had been fighting above him for the past battle, the reiatsu of the man who had slammed into the ground. He was not dead and the rubble blasting away from his body proved it. The man saw Cere and looked at him hungrily, Cere felt his reiatsu and then his body itself being absorbed by the man. After a minute he passed out thinking that he was dead. However when he came to he was laying down in an endless sky with no earth anywhere in sight. For in fact he had not came to he had entered his inner world. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - His Inner World and the mans name:
*Cere did not feel any pressure here but he did feel wind for it was everywhere swirling around him. As well as the wind he felt and saw power for within the wind was a nearly invisible grayish green reiatsu swirling around constantly changing and shifting forms. Then something solidified to some extent. However almost no physical form presented itself..only 2 glowing grayish green eyes formed as the sky darkened. Cere looked at them as they stared through him as if he was not even there. Then a voice sounded booming around him from everywhere*
?: Why do you enter my realm soul?*the voice said speaking to Cere*
Cere: I-I dont know
?:You dont know!! how pitiful it seems as if you need assistance lest you die*it 1st sounds angry but then its mood switches to one of slight concern*
Cere: Yes...I think. Can you help me?*he asked with a hopeful look in his eyes as he stared at the green eyes*
?: Yes...I can but you must make a contract with me*it said now in a bored tone as its moods shifted like the wind that it was*
Cere: A contract? what must i do to sign it?
?: Give me your name*it said to him as if felt he was the absolutely stupidest thing in the universe*and I shall protect you.
Cere: *he nodded vigorously and then spoke*I am Cere. Cere, Vikiel*he said with minimal confidence to the thing*
?:NOT GOOD ENOUGH!*it yelled with anger*
*Cere stumbled and fell back and away from the thing but then regained his resolve and looked at the thing defiantly*It better be Spirit. My name is CERE. CERE VIKIEL. I am your master!! obey me*at this the wind picked up and whipped him off his feet again and to the ground however the eyes glimmered and a laugh was heard*
?: hahahahahaah. Good enough boy*then the eyes blinked out of existence*
*Cere as well opened his eyes which had turned from brown to green. As he opened his eyes he saw his reiatsu being sucked from him and a blast of wind fired from his body knocking the man aside. The man looked at him viciously but smiled for he saw that the boy was now unable to move. The man approached Cere and when he got to him he looked down at him and spoke as he took up a piece of his broken blade*I will not kill you then. But remember my name and fear it for the rest of your weak existence*at this he cut Cere across the face deeply sure to leave a scar and as he did said his name*Tenebrae*at that he disappeared using immense speed and leaving Cere there weakened where he collapsed unconscious* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Soul Academy and the start of his real troubles:
*Later on Cere woke up in a room-a nice room-a clean well kept room with a women tending his wound very close to his face. He wanted to move, to say something but couldn't for the beauty of the women appalled him. She was flawless, perfect, a jewel in his world of pain and violence. The women noticed he was awake and staring at her and smiled as she drew back and looked down at him*hello sleepy head*she said with a warm kind smiled which again moved him to his core and stirred something he had locked deep inside him*
Where am I?..*he asked her trying to sit up but found he couldn't. He then looked to her*...and who are you?*She smiled at him feeling that she might have stirred something*this is the soul academy and I am Ainara one of the nurses here*she said with her perfectly smooth just high enough feminine tone. Cere couldn't help but smile*the soul academy? why am I here?*he asked a bit perplexed*oh so many questions after just waking up after 3 days" She replied a bit teasingly. Cere just stared for a moment and then looked away embarrassed. She giggled quietly and then stood*well if you need anything just call I'll be nearby*she smiled at him as he looked back at her as she left. As she exited the room he sighed a bit and then ran over what he knew of the Soul Academy from Miarna. "hmmm well I know that its where shinigami are trained...um I know that only the strong or considerable of strength can enter so..." at that last thought a realization dawned on him, what he thought was revolutionary*am I strong then*he said out loud accidentally and as he did a man walked in. The man looked about his age and was wearing what Cere assumed was the traditional outfit of the students of the academy for he had saw a couple others walk past his door wearing the same outfit*
*the man smiled at him and looked him over once*heh got in a rough fight?*he asked jokingly*good thing you survived*he had heard Cere's question*as to the strong question. Why yes you are*he said it so simply that it had to be the truth*no wonder you were able to survive in the rukongai so long especially in that district. Yikes*he said with a bit of disgust towards the place. While the man talked Cere observed him looking him over as well trying to gauge the man before him. The man had medium length messy brown hair and a couple scars on his left arm that looked to be self inflicted but not very deep. The man was of average build and was fairly tall he presumed that he was probably a bit taller. He then noticed that the man had not introduced himself and was rudely talking to him*hey*the man stopped talking and replied*
Man: Yes?
Cere: could you at least tell me your name before you start rambling uselessly*he said to the man a bit annoyed which showed on his face*
Man:*he looks a bit sheepish at the comment*oh I'm sorry. Im Zume Tatasuko and you?
Cere: Cere Vikiel*he said a bit less annoyed but finding the man a bit more interesting as he felt his reiatsu level*
Zume: *he nods*well im sorry I've wasted enough of your time. I'll leave you be*he waved and smiled and then exited the room as suddenly as he had entered* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cere knew he would see more of this so called "Zume" and he was right for after several days of recovery he signed up to the school and when he arrived at his class he found the man: Zume there. He and Zume bonded like brothers and became great friends over their years in the academy. However there was one thing that got in the way of their friendship and that was a women. Not any women either: Ainara the so called "nurse" who Cere had met when he awoke. Cere and Zume were both in love with her for how could one not be. She was perfect, beautiful, kind, caring, playful and once agan beautiful. The 2 got in many fights over her but finally Zume went to her and confessed before Cere could get the chance. This act tore Cere's trust in Zume away and the 2 slowly drifted apart and became only aquaintances.
Years after the 2 graduated Zume married Ainara and by this time both Zume and Cere were both within a division. Cere the 9th divison as a 3rd seat and Zume as a 3rd seat in the 12th Division. The 2 at this point had a fierce rivalry for Cere could not have Ainara so instead he vied to surpass Zume in all other ways that he could. One day however Cere went too far and challenged Zume to a battle, now normally this would be fine but Cere took it too far lost control. With this Cere was tried with a small sentence and soon returned as an unseated member of the 9th division. This however just made his grudge against zume all the worse and over the years he messed with Zume's life as much as possible.
Then an event happened, the death of Ainara and when Cere found out that it had been Zume's fault because of his sword spirit he attacked Zume in rage. However Zume had expected this and made it look as if Cere did it so when he was found he looked guilty and was sentenced to death however he escaped to the human world and could not be found since. To this day he still holds a huge grudge against Zume.
Name: Casana, G(uile). Lecor. Alias/Nicknames: The Glorified Guillotine; The Beastial Beheader; The Tempted Tigress; May add more. Gender: Female. Age: 26. Age Appearance: 26. Race: Human – Fullbringer. Rank: Human Coalition General.
Additional Appearance Information: Standing at 5’10 and weighing in at 142 Ibs Casana possesses a strange feline grace to her aptly revealed form. She is a woman of little refinement and incredible tastes. She possesses the face of a tigress, brutal, demanding, and strangely elegant. Her eyes have bags beneath them which are subtly hidden by her eyeliner which is put on to look as a blackened shadow on her face. Though her eyes may appear dark, they are a dulled emerald green with a strange quality to glow with a speckled golden hue as if gold dust dwells in her eyes. Going down she has an average neck and a slim build with toned, incredibly sleek muscles. Her skin is mostly well kept but appears to be rough around her shins and forearms from slight abrasion. This is likely due to the bracers she wears on those two spots. These bracers cover most of her outer forearm and shins and are typically very enchanting pieces of work –just like the arcane wearing them- and are of a read coloration with a golden cross embellished on their form. The ones on her shins are conversely all golden in coloration and have black crosses.
Now, unlike most of her family, this particular Lecor reveals much of herself to the world and only covers herself when she deems necessary. Covering her moderately ample bosom is a hardened leather shirt with soft padding beneath its tanned form. Even this measure of clothing goes down only to an inch or so above her pierced belly button. Going further down we complete her honed hourglass visage and reveal her red and gold belt with crest of her family –a vicious prowling tiger with the talons of a hawk- which holds up a black plaited skirt going down to just above her kneecaps. Unlike her chest, Casana’s hips are not very accentuated but are still enough to catch the eye with their tantalizing sway. Not only this, but her shoulders as well are adorned with the red and gold armoring, though they are not as protective as say, a cuirass. Part of her lower thighs are protected by the identically colored armor and do assist in her protection. Returning to below the waist we find that she wears leggings, though they are cut so as to not touch the inner thigh but circle up and attach to whatever she chooses to wear within the darkness of her plaited black skirt. To finish off the effect are black, pointed tip and rather smooth, foot-ware made of a partially hardened metal with inner padding and coverings for the feet. Last of course, and standard issue, would be her white, though entirely clashing with the rest of her, cloak. Everything else can be ordained from whatever reference you choose to set your eyes upon.
Last of all, the bracer on her left hand has 2 small chains linked to the side facing the wrist, these chains move forwards up to her gloved hand which has many, small, interlocking plates that allow complete freedom of movement. The guantlet/glove that is on her hand however does not go past the first knuckle of her middle finger and the same goes for the two fingers that lay on either side of it. Instead, the chain's three rings go around these fingers. The biggest one, and middle one, goes around the middle finger and holds there as a ring, while the other two rest on the fingers next to their elder brother. All three act as rings on her fingers and where one would think t find more chain...they strangely, but is all as it appears? Is she maybe more strategist than drunken lunatic, call her a 'floozy' and find out.
Personality: An unrefined woman with an intense gaze of emerald green and picture frame of luscious brown strands, Casana is a fierce tigress of a woman with a sharp temper and an addiction to the finer things. Despite being a member of one of the Holy families she is known to often jab at her fellow man and even be outright insulting. However, do not take this as hatred or dislike; Casana is often drunk to varying degrees and is generally known to not give a flying fuck about manners. Despite her general nature she can be pleasant if she so chooses, it’s just getting the vagrant to do so that’s a pain. In battle she is likely less refined than the average Lecor and their ilk. For those who have seen and not been the unlucky individual against her it is known that a kind of grace appears in her fighting form despite the apparently unrefined nature of her combat style.
She is brutal and actually masochistic in battle and just loves it when her prey strikes back. She has the tendency to show a more sinful side of herself the more battle crazed and intoxicated she becomes. Strangely, though she is masochistic, she is not a sadist by nature, and despite her nurturing she never became one and defiantly denies to ever do so. Even to the Asylum’s she so graciously ushers to the more hellion realms she is not overtly cruel. Now do not take it into mind that she has problems harming an individual, or downright insulting their very existence for that matter, it is simply that harm is not something she believes normal, pleasant people should have to endure. At heart, somewhere deep deep below the alcohol and violent tendency, is a kind woman with a complex to help rather than hinder or hurt. In short, she is a healer turned bloodlusting mercenary with a stark love of the more sinful aspects of life. It is only her constant praise to the lord and reproach for her sins that keeps her as a supposedly righteous individual. Last it should be noted that normally she has little to no temper…but the problem is she is an angry drunk so unless you can stop her from taking a swig from her ever present wine, brandy, or rum…good fucking luck.
History: "World's fulla cruelty...but hey, if ya can't beat 'em, join 'em," – Casana, G. Lecor.
In Europe there exist several families who call themselves holy, but in truth are simply tainted by the influence of hollows, imparting them with the abilities of Fullbring. Among these families is the strangest of their ilk, the Lecor family. Strictly religious, but of a different sect of Christianity than the other families, the Lecor family are known for their sadism and cruelty in battle. Their crest is that of a prowling tiger with vicious teeth and saber-like talons. Her mother, Aresta Setina Lecor, was once a kind woman, despite her upraising, and when Casana was born, taking her great great grand mother’s name, and her grandfathers middle name, Aresta continued to cherish her third child even after she discovered her more arcane attributes. It was only when the playful use of her abilities caused her to kill her father, Matel Gion Lecor, that her mother became a sullen little bitch and her streak of sadism finally manifested itself.
The still 6-year-old girl that Casana had once been, was forced day in and day out through torturous routines of training and…other unfortunate activities. Her mind sullied and twisted by the wiles and will of her darker mother the girl attempted in a last stand to defy the tyrants rule. She did not become a sadist, she would never enjoy inflicting pain, she would not become her mother! Aresta, upon discovering her daughters activities, the girl still only at the ripe age of 15, punished her and lashed out with a violence forbidden in an attempt to murder the young child. It was only the broken shard of glass in her hand, empowered by instinct that saved her life and ceased her mother’s tyranny. The shard lengthened and stabbed directly into the woman’s shoulder, missing a lung by only a single inch, thus humbling the woman through sheer fear of her daughter’s capabilities.
The torture ceased and the training did too, no discipline could be wrought any more by the woman, and with the ruined muscles of her shoulder, she could never raise her hand to harm again. Casana, even through all that time grieved her father and despite her effort to resist the cruel sadist that was her tyrannical mother, she developed first a dull hint of masochism. Through her teenage years, from 16-19, she became increasingly more pleased by any pains inflicted upon her and learned to accept and make strength her body’s strange flaw. To this day, she has never regretted anything of her past, with the sole exclusion being the father she lost so early, too early, that crushed collapsed her very world upon her. Now, the days of her adulthood, she has honed her skills to a subtle, but strangely jagged, point and made due with all she could.
Her father dead, her mother silently mourning the loss of her own strength, and a daughter risen above both. The days that follow, she only seeks to right her wrongs by spilling the blood of her lord’s sinners onto the ground as well as her own in repentance to the dishonor she has brought to his name. The Heathen, wishes only forgiveness for what she has done…and what, she knows she will do. Do you dare stop her from simply seeking salvation; From seeking forgiveness? I would not advise it, if you are wise…then you as well should not struggle, for struggle -as she knows well- only brings more pain. And for you pain is no luxury, her however, she is a different matter all together.
Her three core abilities, the skills below are the very fulcrum of her fighting style, allowing her a great deal of versatility with most any implement, though her favored tools are her armor and weapon of choice: The Grim Quillotine.
Enhance: Her weakest link in regards to her three core abilities, Enhance allows Casana to increase her speed, strength, flexibility, durability, and endurance together or individually as long as she has reiryoku to do so. She can also increase the durability of objects that she is in contact with, which works in tangent with her Enchant ability. Nonetheless, this ability is not very well developed meaning that she can only move in explosive bursts of speed and strength, rather than maintaining such continuously. When Enhancing objects she can maintain it for considerably longer, allowing her to make the cloth of her clothing as hard as, say, leather. Using Enhance she can briefly get to speeds that allow her to disappear from sight, and in regards to strength she can easily break bones, but not so easily break metal, while she certainly damage thin stone. It should be noted that the smaller the area she enhances, the more effective the enhancement is, this is due to her own skill level, rather than the limitations of the technique itself.
Enchant: Extremely able in the use of this core ability, Enchantment allows her to lengthen, widen, expand, and generally alter the distribution of any non-living object's mass/shape. However, this ability cannot change the base shape of the object, meaning that a long rod will only become wider or longer, but its overall shape will, more or less, remain the same. Casana can use this ability to great effect, but can only do so to things that are in contact with her reiryoku, or her body. Due to her level of skill the change in the effected object's form may happen almost instantaneously to the untrained eye. However, the larger, more foreign, the object, and the more complex the change the longer it will take. Nonetheless, these changes still tend to take, at most, a minute or so.
Negation: An ability allowing her to expel her reiryoku violently, Negation usually weakens other reiryoku-based abilities and has a sort of "burn" effect on material it is exposed to, particularly flesh. The reiryoku necessary to negate someone else's spell is roughly the same as the amount of energy in the ability, unless specific techniques are utilized. Casana is capable of applying negation to her weapons to augment them and can release blasts of it should she choose to.
Normal State: Normally her primary Fullbring can be found on her left hand, its rings on three of her fingers, and the rest of it attached to a gauntlet of sorts.
The Grim Quillotine: Invoked by channeling her reiryoku through its form, the Grim Quillotine is a weapon of many functions. Upon being invoked, this deadly instrument takes the form of a chain with small spikes along its length, the links interrupted in three places by several rings. Should you ever find yourself against its arcane might, it's best you steel yourself for the worst, for Casana truly gives no quarter.
Abilities: While possessing none of its own truly unique capabilities, the Grim Quillotine is exceptionally responsive to Casana's core abilities and as such gives her the greatest amount of versatility in comparison to other objects, the only exception being her armor. Beyond this, the Grim Quillotine does have several forms or states that Casana employs more often, not that these are the limits of the weapon's transformation in any way.
State of the Impala: Extending the link at either end of the Impala and shrinking down all behind and then widening them so that they become trapped in a linear state and easily held, almost like the handle of a sword, she then extends the straight and pointed end creating a blade from the links. The blade is of course double edged with a deadly tip and the ability to quickly lengthen and partially shrink its handle back into chain form so as to swing in deadly arcs. This is likely the weapons that has given her the title 'The Beastial Beheader'.
State of the Ouroboros: By shrinking down either side of the chain and quickly wrapping the rest of it around the two smaller rings she expands the rings size creating 3 chakrams which are linked together by the chain which can easily cut, since she thins its edges to a point. This is one of her lesser-used weapons and is equally capable of lengthening its chain and lashing out suddenly with an explosive burst of arcane speed.
State of the Chimera: Using all of the bladed sections of the ring she elongates all the blades simultaneously and widens the two outer rings into chakrams which remained linked to the now empowered blade links. The middle ring remain, thickens, and widens to become something that a hand can easily hold; She tends to quickly shift both or one of the outer rings at various times in order to hold and release them as weapons or handles respectively.
State of the Quillotine: Utilizing the middle ring she widens it into a bracelet and then tightens it around her right wrist. She then widens the two smaller rings and puts those around her pointer and index finger, once this is achieved she uses the same application of the blade links as she did with ’State of the Impala’ after she wraps the blade links around her fingers and angles their points forwards. This means that she gains a weapon that can either augment her own punches or suddenly extend into a plethora of elongated blades. She has to be careful with this application of her weapon lest she stab herself with the blades, additionally the small portion of the blade links do in fact dig into her flesh somewhat which only serves to stabilize them and amplify her battle craze and thus the intensity of her gluttonous guzzling. Overall this gives her a strange thrill and potentially an exponential boost in fighting intensity as well as a deadly weapon capable of easily skewering her prey.
State of the Tigress: Sometimes referred to simply as ‘The Claws’, the State of the Tigress is probably one of her arcane weapon’s most trademark of forms and has gained her the title ’The Tempted Tigress’. This begins with her moving the center ring behind her body and then getting the two outer rings each around one of her wrists. After this, by making the chain links large enough to fit snuggly around her fingers, she is capable of forming bladed edges pointing upwards from the back of her fingers and downwards from the inside. Additionally there is always one link dug into the space between the furthest part of the fingernail and her knuckle. This final link, one on each finger of each hand, allows its bladed section to elongate into curved claws giving her a fabulous set of 10 curved, tearing extremities on her hands. This is by far her favorite out of her Grim States but is still the most seldom seen as it damages her hands, despite regeneration from enhance, and is also difficult to activate due to the complex positioning.
