*Dante and Kat walk through the corridors both laughing*
Kat: and then the duck says "don't worry about it, you can put it on my bill"
*both of the girls crack up*
Dante: *sighs* It's been a while since I've had fun like this.
Kat: Why?
Dante: Well Virgil and I used to hang out like this, but... *she looks down*
Kat: Buut?
Dante: Well, we used to hang out and laugh and joke, but she started training so much and she got so serious.... Before I knew it she was like a stranger... I miss it though.. Just hanging out like this. *she looks up at Kat and grins* That's enough out of me. What about you?
Kat: *surprised* what about me?
Dante: I feel like I know nothing about you, but I also feel like we're becoming friends... Plus, I want to know more about you.
Kat: You want to know about me?
Dabte: *smiles at her* why wouldn't I?
Kat:I-I, um... I wouldn't know where to start.
Dante: *thinks for a minute.* start with the first time you saw Limbo.
Kat:... Okay. Well, the first time I saw Limbo, I was young... Like, really young. Six I think. I just started swing thinks, but I couldn't touch them. My father asked what I was doing and I told him I was chasing the monsters away. He just thought I was playing make believe.
Dante: well, that makes sense. What happened after that?
Kat:... A few years later, I was still slipping into limbo everyday, it was normal to me... I was in a department store with my mother and I saw what happens when someone when they get trapped in Limbo... I was looking at this woman who was checking the price of canned peas. I felt things shift into Limbo and saw everyone, including myself turn into a 'ghost'... Everyone but her. she started the same. At first she looked confused, then scared. Then a Reaver found her... I stated shrieking in the middle of the isle... I asked people to save her, I couldn't understand why they weren't scared too. Then my mother asked me what was wrong and I told her... She told me that I needed to stop making a scene and that I was to old for make believe. I said yes ma'am and tried not to look at the bloody mess on the floor, that only I could see.
Dante: *is speechless for a moment* Kat, I'm -
Kat: Sorry? I know... Everyone is.
Dante: Kat, you.... I... *without s other word she wraps Kat in a hug. Kat stands there and accepts the hug. She whispers to Dante*
Kat: you're the first people I told who believed me.
Dante: with a face like that, who wouldn't believe you.
Kat: *gives a sobbing chuckle and backs out of the hug. She uses the sleeve of her hoodie to wipe away the tears that had pooled near her eye.* thanks Dante. You have no idea what that meant to me.
Dante: don't worry about it. That's what friends are for, right?
Kat: right. Friends..
*the two walk around for a bit longer, talking and joking as they walk. So they are both okay and in a good mood when they arrive to everyone else*
