Current Attn teeny boppers: You realize adbots aren't ppl, yes? They randomly generate login info, then execute pre-programmed posts. Your rage-spam goes unheard by the machine. And is equally annoying.

If you're going by UK conventions of knighthood/nobility, yes. It also would be pronounced like the "dam" in "madame," rather than like a Dick Tracy "daym."

Hey guys, sorry I wasn't on much this weekend. Will the S-rank mission for Artemis, Rutger, Mombaki, and Darren be starting anytime soon?
"Well, I guess that settles it. Better get ready, kiddo." Rutger said to Mombaki. He sighed once more, and pulled the book he had been reading out from under his arm. He already had everything on him that he would need for a mission; he made a point of carrying enough to get him through an overnight trip, at the least, at all times. He checked his belt and the numerous pouches on it just to be sure, and then opened his book. He quickly found his place.

...and so in essence, the color shift is brought about by the changing properties of the magical structure, much like a normal flame's fuel can cause it to change colors. The following chapters will cover each spectrum of fire and its effects, as well as explain some possible applications for each spell. The mage should note that with this magical style, creativity can be very helpful in developing the aspects of...

Rutger closed the book, and slipped it into the larger pouch that rested on the back of his hips. It was just an instruction manual for the Rainbow Fire magic style; certainly not a bad thing, but not something he would be able to use against powerful dark mages--beginner level magics, even if creatively used, would be of little use if they could just be outright overpowered. Instead he leaned back against the counter, his head lolling back so that he was staring at the ceiling, his eyes fogging over in concentration. He scanned his memories for the most powerful spell he knew, and began a mental review to prepare himself. His mouth began to move, whispering the incantation--obviously not putting any power into it, or with any intent to cast the spell.

"The First Sire, Hallowed Father to all Dragons, watches over his children from on high. So indomitable is His strength that He has never known defeat. Wyrm Tyrant that soars on the wings of night..."
Thanks! No problem, hope you get well soon!
Anybody seen Dblade around? Rutger's speaking to Mombaki but I'd like to kind of get a move on...
Darren might be able to use the echo-location aspect of his vibration magic to let us get a clear picture of what their base looks like without going in, if he can do it without them detecting some kind of magic being used. If he can do that, Rutger might be able to remote-blast some stuff with Firaja, and during all the smoke and flames Artemis could cut his way in.

But I'm assuming there'll be various curveballs so the best plan is probably the ol' Monster Hunter's motto: Don't get hit, and hit it til it dies!
So, any hints as to what the S-rank mission team will be facing? I'm assuming the Dark Guild will be made up of some NPCs and a boss or something, right?
Rutger sighed again and slumped into one of the bar stools, leaning back against the counter. Darren had said one would have to be crazy not to take a chance on such a huge reward. But to Rutger's mind, taking on a risk like this was even greater lunacy. Who knew what they would be up against? He ran a hand through his hair as he glanced over at Mombaki.

"Kiddo, you sure you want to take something like this on? Like I said, for a reward this big, it means the risk is big too. Fighting dark mages is a whole new ballgame compared to hunting wild animals."

He didn't know the boy that well, seeing as Mombaki had only joined recently, but Rutger was worried he knew what the boy's reaction would be already. And even though the fire mage was against the mission, he didn't want to leave his friends in the lurch. If they were all set on going, he'd have to go too...and hope that they could all come out alive.
The eccentric bookmage, the jungle boy, a blind dude with a sword, and one sane man.

This group dynamic is going to be AMAZING.
"Dude, Artemis," Rutger said, gesturing with his hands to emphasize his words, "I know you're the eccentric intellectual type and a great mage; things that would make most people soil themselves don't phase you. That's cool." The fire mage then threw his hands into the air, his head somehow seeming to magnify itself in size as he shouted at the top of his lungs. "But are you COMPLETELY INSANE!? For a reward like this, these guys would have to be on the level of the Oracion Seis, or Grimoire Heart, or--Spirit King forbid, Tartarus! Plus, me and Darren aren't even S-rank mages, and--AND YOU'RE JUST WALKING AWAY."

Indeed, Artemis was already gone, the tail of his robes swishing around a corner. Rutger stood there for a moment, shoulders hunched, arms hanging, his head deflating back to normal size. He then turned to Mombaki and Darren--who was facing the complete opposite direction--and began to massage his temples.

"Am I the only one bothered by this?"
Rutger's freakin' out, yo.
