My character, Rutger, is traveling through the East Forest near Magnolia and has come across the now-empty Phoenix Wing guild hall. If you're also intending to be a new recruit, maybe join him there?

I'm happy to do another mission! First my character needs some downtime though. I think I need to learn how to use my battle skills more effectively first.

I had Hayato suggest attacking from range in-character, but some magic using characters who use what might be called the Metal element I can think of are Archer and Shirou Emiya from Fate/Stay Night, Musica from Rave Master, and some of the alchemists from Full Metal Alchemist. There's also a fantasy series called Mistborn that has all their different types of magic revolve around the properties of different metals. You'd probably want to look out for spoilers if you ever plan on reading/playing/watching any of those, but I'm sure browsing their wikis or something might give you some ideas.

The last few steps out of the forest felt as if he had stepped out from under a great weight. The presence of plant life, especially anything wooden, always made him nervous. It was the same with buildings, but out here, on the edge of Magnolia, it seemed that civilization was far enough from him to remain safe. There was only one building here. It inspired not fear, but hope. Phoenix Wing had begun garnering a reputation for itself in the past few months, quickly rising in the public eye. He hadn't known much about any of the Guilds when he left home. His village was so isolated he barely knew what guilds were, and out there away from the big cities where magic was so rarely seen, anything to do with it was seen with the same suspicion that had haunted the rest of the world for a hundred years. But his travels had brought word of this place to his ears. Other mages, powerful ones, capable of great feats. Surely they could teach him to control his power. Surely they could make his "curse" fade... But as the traveler grew closer to the hall, something did not seem right. He was still fairly far away, coming down a hill out of the woods, but shouldn't he have heard something by now? Weren't Guilds supposed to be lively places, full of hustle and bustle and noise and excitement? Not even a dull murmur was to be had in the air around the hall. He looked up, checked to make sure that this was indeed Phoenix Wing. He was in the right place. So...where was everyone? He approached the double doors of the entrance, and knocked with a firm but somewhat timid fist. Three raps, no more. He waited...nothing. Three more times he knocked, harder and louder now...still nothing. Slowly, he pushed the door open... "Hello?"

I've added an image to Rutger's appearance, though nothing else about his profile has changed. At the moment, though, he's also wearing a large brown cloak and a backpack with all the survival essentials, like sleeping bag and such, because he doesn't yet have a place to stay.

Credits are sort of like digital currency; I imagined them as being contained in a sort of "digital profile" for students that was accessible from anywhere within the school or from a device like a phone/watch/etc. If the student plans to exchange them for money, there are ATM style things that would let them select their currency value and then transfer the credits, which would then print out as actual money (not freshly made money, as printing bills whenever one needed it would destroy the economy) for them to use. Everyone who takes a mission gets those credits as a reward. Loot from battles, however, has to be divvied up. I'll work on a simplified map and start adding some stuff to the google doc to answer other questions; sorry, I should have had the setting more fleshed out. Are there any other questions that I should probably add info about?

I've been given nothing else to go with. Edo-Trinity would be fine if Edo-Karn's a lady, though. :3 I just want to point something out, right. There are five to ten frames dedicated specifically to Lucy's bust in the opening scene of episode 153. (watching it right now) It's not a slow-pan up her body, which would be excusable (I guess). I don't think it's been... this blatant, before?

You think by now, after making the first threats, She'd realize Edo-Karn doesn't care and is more wondering where the heck the others are. But I'd like to think that Edolas Guilds could be a form of group that could be expert fighters. Just with regular combat using regular weapons or whatever Gadgets Edolas might of created after 100 years. Basically doing similar jobs, just without the magic. But that's just my imagination working on ifs xD

Could be like the Treasure Hunter guild that showed up in the manga not too long ago. They didn't have magic but used special weapons like extending swords and whatnot.

Wes disappeared, the Guild believe he got sent to Edolas, so they took the book written by Lucy in hopes of finding a way there from the Magic Council. Now some of them got magically teleported there. While some are still handling the Council. (Grane)

So thus far it's been a character driven plot, with the motivation being the guild's friendship with each other. No appearance of any world ending threat or such yet, huh? Is it allowed to submit ideas for Missions and such?

"Oh, I'm Hayato, in case I missed introducing myself too." said the Bladeknight as the others also passed names around. He tried to make a detailed mental note for each of them and their abilities, so that he could ask them to party up again sometime depending on what kind of assignment he tried. Overall, things had gone well here. His head wasn't even bleeding anymore, though it was still a bit sore. "Nice to meet everyone, and good work out there! I know I said our teamwork could use polishing, but hey, things could have gone a lot worse, right?" He stretched his arms out wide before folding his hands behind his head. "Maybe next time, if the whole party focuses on just a few enemies at a time instead of letting ourselves get separated, things won't be so chaotic?" When Joe said he was interested in doing another Special Assignment, Hayato shook his head. "That's all for me today, Joe, sorry. I've got to study a bit and make sure I get off on the right foot this year with the academic stuff." Soka had also mentioned that the mission was a little harder for him than he had thought. Hayato paused for a moment to pick his words; he wanted to help, but he didn't know how the other boy might take criticism. "Well, uh, I think your magic was actually really cool." He began. "But rather than using the weapons you make yourself, why not pass them to the Martial fighters, or manipulate them to attack from a distance? Like that arm blade you made earlier--if you had made, say, a spinning saw blade instead, and sent it zooming around like a death frisbee--" he gestured with his arm, making a "zoom zoom" sound, "you could have taken out those Needle Blights that were taking pot shots at us from a distance." [OOC: I'm assuming John and Soka will each take on of the two Enchanted Wood items, but no one's called dibs on anything else yet I don't think. Also, it's probably a good idea to add an Inventory section to the bottom of your CS so you can store your credits and loot.]

Other Available Missions

E-Rank: Gather Mana Herbs Mana Herbs are a major component of lots of different medicines and other alchemic items the Magical Research Society makes, including potions that restore MP. For every ten you collect, we'll pay you 20 AC. Be careful though, the longer you stay, the more chance that ExBeasts may attack. Only one person is required for this mission, but it won't hurt others to go too. E-Rank: Extra Curricular Tutoring Not all of the freshmen are what you could call "combat ready," and even simple Special Assignments could be hard for them. We need someone to help shape up a few of them. Just come to the gym after school between 5 and 7 PM, that's usually when the practice groups are there. Reward: 50 AC. D-Rank: Missing Convoy An MMO Corps convoy carrying supplies went missing in the Middle East. No terrorist organization is suspected--against Magic and Martial class weaponry and Skills, hardly any normal human being could be a match. However, the area is still dangerous. The objective is to search for the convoy from its last known location and report back; if you come across whatever got them, unless you are absolutely sure of your victory it's advised you do NOT engage. At least two people recommended for this assignment. It's expected this may be an overnight job. Reward: 100 AC.

Fire Rat Extermination

One of the rats mistimed its jump, and Taeion's shuriken skewered it. The other simply wasn't agile enough, and it too went down. The one Taeion had charged at couldn't evade fast enough to avoid his enhanced speed, and it too was slain with a single strike from his blade. But Taeion would find that using a speed technique on a battlefield covered in oil probably wasn't the best idea. Suddenly he found himself unable to check his momentum, and he was heading right towards a large dumpster that had been overturned in the chaos, its contents going up in a large flame! As he slid ever closer at high speed, he could feel the heat of the blaze growing against his skin...

Cockatrice Hunt

[OOC: We've been waiting on Numbers a while I think, but since he would probably be occupied keeping the Cockatrice calm and it's already so weak I think we can safely push things along a bit...] With Haruka and Winnifred's last attacks, an artery was severed in one of the monster's legs and its head took yet another deadly wound. As the creature began to collapse in a heap of feathers and scales, it let out one last drunken cry...and then it was still.

Makes good material for crafting/improving Poison aligned items, or adding Poison attributes to non-Poison items. Conflicts with Water and Healing elements. • Ex Feather x3 - A feather from an avian-esque ExBeast. A Wind-type magical item. Low Level. In larger amounts, makes good material for crafting/improving Wind aligned items, or adding Wind attributes to non-Wind items. Conflicts with Earth and Metal elements. Synchronizes with Fire and Water elements. Neutral to other elements.

He wouldn't admit it, but he hadn't expected this to be so easy. For all he had been against bringing more than two people, it looked like teamwork had paid off. Then he looked to Ryouta. "If you've got the Sprite, then I suppose we could head back, hm?" [OOC: Since Zombehs left I distributed his EXP among everyone else, but if he chooses to return I won't take it away from anyone, I'll just give him what you guys would have normally gotten.]
