Sorry Jester Boy, but Blue Coal is said to advance everything, so I assume that it would advance a machine gun to shoot bullets at insane speeds. I mean you are the Joker, don't you like a bit of insanity.

I can get into the airships and mechs thing cause steam powers those things but how does steam power enhance a machinegun to fire 100 rounds in 2 seconds? Remember that the Gatlinggun has been developed one year before the start of the scenario.

EDIT: just a question, not trying to start an arguement.

No need to leave over one disagreement, besides I've got nothing against you. Was merely a bit "You what." when I saw the post.

He, I can get into that. I realised I sounded like a hypocritical idiot... Just like a politician :P

I'm fine with your coal mine, I didnt read up on your Nation sheet and when you said that you could rival asia I immediatly thought that you would be eploiting the hell out of that mine with hightech machinery. And when you said rival asia I was being an idiot and thought you meant all of it... I'm an idiot. Again, sorry for being a jerk.

EDIT: this post doesnt count as argueing, right? @duck55223
@Legion X51
Sure, I'll give up on Indonesia if people want me to balance it out. And I admit to @Alfhedil that it's hypocrytical as I forgot that I stated this line: "Their navy being one of the most modern and it’s army being one of the best drilled they are a force to be reckoned with."

I'll leave it up to you to decide and I withdraw my complaint but keep it up there so it doesnt seem I am deleting as if I've said that. If you guys want I can also just leave entirly since I have been having complaints all the time.

Also, if you want to continue this talk, lets do it in PM as to not get the OOC sunk into an argument, ok?
Wouldnt it actually make more sense for a small European nation like Switzerland to be the main supplier of Blue Coal in Europe itself? Because giving a huge mine to a major power gives them a huge advantage over the others. If Switzerland was the main supplier then no one could really do anything about it. Imagine France invading Switzerland for the coal, then Germany and Austria would advance into Switzerland aswell to "protect" the population (And the coal). That way there will not be a major power who gets a major advantage in the early game and if such an invasion were to occur then it would either split the coal amoung different factions instead of giving it all to one or there would be a return to the status quo.

Sure I play the Netherlands and have Indonesia. But the Netherlands are small in Europe and I dont have the population to compete with the likes of Germany and France, thus this advantage balances out. If people still think it wouldnt be fair then I am willing to give up on Indonesia and let it be an independent state or I'll pick another country. It's just that I dont think that it's fair to countries like Germany, France, Russia, the UK and the US to have to rely on trade to get their blue coal while another major European power just happens to have the largest concentration of blue coal in their backyard.
Let me ask you guys an idea. Since Australia broke away from England before the 1850s, what do you think about the states of Australia never happening and it all under one unified banner of the Commonwealth. Meaning that that Australian Colonial government act never happened.

You mean Australia being a dominion of the UK or what? I didnt really understand your post, probably because I'm an idiot :P

Oh I'm well aware of my nation's vulnerabilities, and the challenges it faces. That's why I floated it. I don't want to sit down and spam away at a keyboard, moving X fleet to nation Z, researching doomsday weapon 0 whilst ordering the building of Mechanised Division L. That stuff gets old, and fast. You start looking around and seeing your opponents mirroring you at every turn - which is fine, and you know, realistic. But I like flare, and the Kingdom of Naples will have much flare.

King Pagani's story will either be one of tragedy, or one of glory. Either way it's gonna be a fun and interesting ride.

Anyway, thanks for the shout out with the wine. I'm off to go and do some more research on what else I can sell you scoundrels, before you come rolling in with your tanks and robotised sea monkeys.

I am actually not planning to go to war with anyone. I want to do alot of diplomacy. Wars cost so much money, why not settle a dispute with some words instead of the lives of a generation?
<Snipped quote by Zoldyck>

By "that little bit" if you mean the mine deep into the earth which rivals the East, then sure =P

Still a little bit in comparison to a country 1/5 the size of Europe. :P

You think I would take the Netherlands instead of France just because I come from the Netherlands? With Indonesia I have loads of blue coal :D
<Snipped quote by TomeBinder>

It's a possibility, though Kzechverin currently holds the largest reserve of Blue Coal in the European region. A little more wouldn't hurt =P

Pff... That little bit of blue coal? I'll just go to my Asian colony in the form of the Dutch East Indies :D
<Snipped quote by Alfhedil>

I don't anymore :( That was the plan, but it turns out Italy just plain sucks in almost every aspect. Crap farmland, crap resources but HOT DAYAM do I love spaghetti bolognese.

I can give you access to one or both of my small blue coal reserves though :D Kinda relying on someone taking up the offer, before my country implodes and the King is either killed in a revolution or forced to modernise.

I remember you saying you wanted a "The Lost Samurai" kind of feel for your country. I recommend you look up the Meiji Restoration and the Bosin War. TLS is kinda bullshit :P

You could ofcourse take the entirity of Italy and form a nationalist state, although that doesnt really go well with your plan. Maybe a united Iberian peninsula? Or Persia? Persia might be a good bet with going the non industry route, same goes for Spain/Portugal. Italy has alot of wine import, maybe you could use that aswell... But taking the non industry route with Italy is like saying you take a depopulated Russia, you take away it's biggest strenght.

Come to think about it... You have Napels and Sicily right? Why dont you implement a "Mare Nostrum" policy? Get a big fleet up and running and start taxing ships going through the Mediterenean sea? Just my sugestion although I would have gone for the industry, this seems like a viable way of getting money in without industrialising. Just so you know though, if you dont want your country to be ripped apart by Austria, Germany and France then sooner or later you will be forced to industrialize. Else you'll be using matchlocks against tanks.

I dont want to ruin your country but that just came to my mind when I read your Nation sheet. If I were one of those nations you would be on the top of my invasion list :P

Anyway, that's what my thoughts are, use them as tips or ignore them, it's up to you :)
<Snipped quote by Zoldyck>

Eisenkreis-Kzechverin is a highly nationalist state, unified by cultures shared between the two regions. Granted, they may not be as extreme as fascism, but they still look to their own traditions and cultures before any others.

Well, if you were highly natinalist then you would be in a perpetual civil war, you having 20+ cultures and all :P Just kidding, I know what you mean and that's good, now we have a pariah for the world's evil... I mean a very friendly nation... *cough*

Wouldn't the conditions for Communism have been brought forwards in this NRP? I mean, given the discovery of blue coal and the radical industrialisation that's gone on? Just trying to remember, but Communism in Russia was largely supported by industrial workers wasn't it? And not so much by the rural peoples.

That's just my thought on it in any case. Don't bundle me.

Communism in Russia was only possible due to the great poverty and loss of lives WW1 caused in Russia, not due to rapid industialisation because else it would have happened in the 1870's when industrialisation was really kicking it up a notch.

And lets not forget that communism in China got caused by farmers instead of factory workers. And back in Russia the reason why the revolution succeeded was because the army supported the Bolshevieks... The army and Germany.
