Minami Fuuka

"... Haah, I guess it might not have been anything much," Fuuka remarked with a sigh. If it wasn't anything too exciting, well... it WAS hard to tell what was going on, and that pizza did look pretty tasty... Besides, she'd put all that effort into smashing that stupid vending machine, hadn't she? It'd be a shame to abandon all those drinks. Moments away from committing to sitting down and eating, however, her cell phone rang.

Kitagawa Miyu

"E-er..."

Nervous about how she hadn't noticed the blipping immediately, Miyu hesitantly reached down and tapped her console. Almost immediately, a rather harsh female voice came over the line.

"WHAT WERE YOU DOING?!" the owner shouted, making Miyu's ears droop as she winced.

"I-I apologize, Vice-Captain," she half-mumbled. Ah... she hadn't meant to miss the call signal, but she'd been so distracted... and of course, that meant something serious was going on. And she'd... missed it. Her embarrassment swelling considerably the moment that fact sunk in, the rabbitgirl at least took solace in the fact that it wasn't the Captain. While the Vice-Captain's anger was scary, it was nothing compared to what the Captain would do to her... or worse, the Director herself.

"This is no time for weak apologies, Kitagawa-san," the irritable voice said over the line, "There's some kind of intrusion in Sectors Zero and One."

There was a voice in the background, and the Vice-Captain sighed.

"Sectors Bunny and... Cheesecake?! That's not even an animal!" she snapped, but after a moment's pause she simply sighed again.

"E-eh?" Miyu's eyes widened, "But that's right on top of us!"

"That's right," replied the Vice-Captain, "But there hasn't been any sightings. Contact every agent and tell them to be on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary, and to be ready for combat at a moment's notice!"

""R-right..." Miyu took a deep breath, before tapping another button on her console. This would immediately contact all Outbreakers in the area, via their cell phones. It was a pretty nifty trick, at least.

"This is First Lieutenant Kitagawa Miyu!" she declared, putting on her most unwavering tone, "There's been an intrusion in Sectors Zero and One, be on the lookout for anything unusual, and be prepared for combat at a moment's notice!"

Minami Fuuka

"Ah, okay, okay," Fuuka said, cell to her ear. The little charm with the guitar girl hanging off it dangled off as she spoke. "Yeah."

She hung up, and looked to what she was doing with her left hand.

The robot that hand suddenly dropped down and tried to punch her was large and red about ten feet tall and with grey detailing. It's head was almost shaped like a UFO, with two fins coming off the sides. In Fuuka's opinion, it looked like of stupid. Right now, she had blocked its fist with her arm.

"Haah, if you had to interrupt our lunch, couldn't you have been less lame?" the black-haired schoolgirl lamented with a sigh. Slipping her phone back in her pocket, she curled her right hand into a fist. "This kinda thing just pisses me off."

She moved her left arm out of the way, letting the robot's momentum carry itself forward as she twisted in place, grabbing its arm with enough force to dent the armor. Winding up with a punch, she drove her right fist into an uppercut hard enough that the impact caused the robot's chest to explode out of his back in a shower of shrapnel and cables. Fuuka wrenched the robot's arm out of its socket as the disabled heap of metal crumpled to the ground.

"Oi, White-san, Tamachan," she said, glancing towards the other two girls as she tossed the arm away. "I think there's gonna be more."

She smiled. "Wanna time me?"

It was about then that two... three... no, four... wait, five... six... okay, it ended up about ten of the robots, dropping down and landing on the rooftop.

???

Further away, in a location many agents(and possibly uninvolved people) would likely see, A strange black orb materialized in the air, then stretched upward and spread open to reveal... a young woman with light brown, nearly blonde, hair, dressed as a witch, floating in mid-air with a pleased smile on her face.

"Haah, those spiritual protections would have been a hassle..." she commented, before waving her hand causally. Civilians in the streets looked up in shock and confusion. "Come on out, everyone! Let's have a blast together~"

As she waved her hand, a strange, black, tarry substance began to pool in many locations across the street, buildings.. all over. It was thick, spiritual corrupt, that manifested everywhere except the most rigorously pure of places. Normally harmless, and generally only in very small amounts in most places, when given a strong enough guiding hand... blobs of the substance rose from the ground, small, white eyes bulging out of the black ichor that composed the blobs.

Naturally, this lead to quite a panic among the civilians. Though... right now, the blobs were really only capable of making a mundane person fall seriously, but not lethally, ill. It wasn't exactly a life-threatening situation, right now, but hardly one that should be allowed to keep going.

"Ahhh~" the witch girl licked her lips, "Mmm, let's see you cause more chaos and confusion~ Make my heart race~"

— Outbreak Agency Rooftop —

Head cocked to one side, Tamako nodded to herself and replied to the notification by without a sound coming from her mouth. The android sowly crouched down and placed the pizza box on the ground. Even as the first robot was promptly disposed of her head disappeared within he large bag and came out with a pair of small spheres, each with several nodes that, despite being as black as could be imagined, gave off the impression that they glowed.

"Not knowing the extent of the situation, we should proceed with caution."

Two quick movements sent the pair of literal time bombs sailing towards a pair of the robots. Even as those were in midair Tamako once again retreived a piece of weaponry from the bag, this time a multi toned blue assault rifle. Half a heartbeat later the grenades went off, surrounding a pair of the robots in pitch black bubbles of halted time. As her opponents weren't what could be considered 'people' (though she might in some way think of them as being kin to herself) these weapons could be used. At this moment the girl shouldered the rifle to steady it and aimed at a third robot assailant. The other two weren't currently threats and wouldn't be for another couple of seconds.

As one of them had already made the unforunate decision to attack Minami-senpai they were dicided to be hostile and she pulled the trigger in a short controlled burst. Even as the spent bras casings were still in the air Tamako pivoted at the waist and fired a possibly overkill number of bullets at each of the frozen robots.

Jennifer White

The universe seemed to not want them to have anything to eat. First there was the interruption in the cafeteria and now--right as she had suggested eating and then fighting off whatever invaders were coming--their peaceful rooftop picnic had been blocked before they could even get started. Jennifer would normally have let Fuuka eliminate the opponents on her own but being denied food was annoying... and she could even get some practice in.

For this, it would have to be a katana... and given their opponents, restricting it to wood might impede the practice. An ordinary steel blade it was, then: one was quickly drawn from the bag, scabbard and all, before the girl darted towards what seemed to be a nice group of three clustered together.

Draw, cut, clean, sheathe; draw, cut, clean, sheathe... the movements weren't as familiar to her as the pace of a normal battle but targets like this might as well have been stationary. Having to focus on proper form was a good way of dealing with the frustration from the delayed pizza, even if it was over too soon. Jennifer returned the blade to its scabbard for the final time before straightening and looking at the three seemingly intact robots.

Some signal fired, urging the three to move. They tried.

The sliced machines collapsed, falling into a heap of neat chunks as friction no longer sufficed to hold them together against the numerous cuts. The swordsman frowned at this, feeling that something was... off about it. It seemed that she ought to practice a bit more: the marks on each weren't identical despite the same repeated forms. At least it gave her something to work towards learning.

Sleeping Panda ʕーヘーʔ

"That's my cue then... I'll be right back." She said, with a small hint of sadness in her voice.

She stepped out of the room to go and grab her weapons. The danger was apparently right above them, but even though Zann wasn't technically an agent and Miyu wasn't really a combatant; there were plenty of other Outbreak agents nearby in case something were to really happen. And also, she was a little bit useless without her weapons. Miyu's side-arm would've probably served her well enough in a pinch, but she'd probably need something stronger if she planned to actually fight.

Her room was nearby, she opened the door and slipped inside. Bright light filtered in through closed blinds, casting everything into shadow. Some people found it odd that even though she couldn't sleep at night, sleeping in the dark as long as it was daytime was fine for her. The issue wasn't the light level, it was just that night made her feel vulnerable. When she had been younger, her night vision and her senses hadn't been developed enough. Even her father could get ambushed if it were night-time, there were limits to human vision and senses and the ones that chased them were experts at exploiting that.

The reason she couldn't sleep at night was simply the remains of her old fear. Her time at the Outbreak Agency hadn't been enough to get rid of it yet.

Sleeping in dark places while it was daylight reminded her of the few times they had ever been completely safe. The suitcase containing her weapons were on top of her bed. She didn't use it very often so she usually put her stuff there where it was within reach of the doorway. Inside the case were two gleaming, golden revolvers and the 6 claws which made up the Talon system. They were her father's weapons, which he had left behind when she found herself on the doorstep of the Outbreak Agency.

She always hesitated before drawing them out. She knew from her father's journal he had seen them as little more than tools, but they were the precious mementos of her father.

She drew the first revolver into her hand, then the second. The satellites lifted out of the case by themselves in reaction, and floated to their regular position behind her.

"I'm ready..." She whispered, breathing out slowly.

Then she headed out.

Minami Fuuka

"... No-one's gonna time me?"

With a sigh, Fuuka tossed her stopwatch in the air and caught it again, jamming it in her pocket as three robots crumpled into heaps of useless shrapnel and two more were riddled with bullets, staggering for a few moments and collapsing into sparking piles of twitching robotic components. There remained four robots, one of which immediately raised an arm. It folded outwards into a chaingun and immediately opened fire, spraying the rooftop with bullets as it did, the other three robots advancing almost immediately. Fuuka sighed, and immediately sprinted to the right as she did, meeting one of the three advancing robots.

There was a hiss as its arm split and produced a blazing blade of what appeared to be pure plasma. Huh. How about that. As it raised its arm and swung down, Fuuka casually dodged to the side.

"Y'know looking fancy's not gonna get you anywhere, right?" she commented, raising an eyebrow. The comment was obviously not directed at the robot, and more towards the one who was in control of them. If they could hear it, at least. The blade hit the roof, and sizzled as it... failed to penetrate. After all, why would they make the building out of something so easily damaged?

Springing onto the robot's arm, Fuuka jammed her hands into her pockets and wound up before delivering a swift, hard kick to that circular ufo-style head, tearing it clear from the robot's shoulders. Without a moment's pause, Fuuka snatched the decapitated head before it could get to far.

"Oiiii, batter up!" she called, before hurling the head directly for the chaingun-using robot, hitting it right in the chest. "... Aah, where's your bat?"

With a shrug, she sprinted right for the robot as it recovered, even as it began to take aim and open fire again. Sidestepping and reaching out, Fuuka grasped the weapon and pulled, hard enough to send the robot staggering right into her next punch.

Moments later, its upper half hit the ground several dozen meters away.
