Robert kept going through files, searching things up about familiar names of CEO's or people high up in politics. His jacket was off, his tie a bit loose, and his sleeves rolled up as he glared at the screen or files. He never realized how hungry he was until he looked up and smelled the pizza the man in his office was holding. He explained how he knew he didn't eat today, and his eyebrows were raised in confusion. Who would buy him a pizza? His first day back, and people were too surprised to talk to him, or even know that very little known fact. Then it occurred to him that it could be courtesy of the beautiful blonde he was in love with, and he gave a smile. "Thank you very much... But, here's a tip." Robert pulled out a twenty dollar bill and handed it to him, which he eager accepted. Once he left, Robert consumed a lot of pizza in a short time, and continuing his work but thinking about the kind act that Marian did for him... Maybe he should do the same for her... In a sneaky, charming little way. Maybe he could get that official unofficial date with her after all tonight. --------- Later that night Robert was back in his apartment, his laptop and files now here as well. He also had one of the members of the Merry Men with her. Gwen Hathaway sat behind her laptop on his couch. "You sure you want to do this? I mean, its romantic-- but in a very creepy way." She called out to him. Robert was in his bedroom trying to pick out something casual, but nice. "I'm positive! Just hack the computer, and find that 'Robin Hood' and 'Steelport Seaside Bar and Grill' happen to have something in common." Hopefully she would be curious enough to go there, and when Robin Hood doesn't show up, Robert will be there, and they will start talking, and she will get to see the new and improved Robert! Well, that was the plan at least. He hoped she wasn't still too mad or thought badly of Robert because of his past... he couldn't blame her though. "Alright.... And, it begins." She said as she started hacking in the computer of Marian Anderson.

Marian’s day went by rather fast which was a blessing in itself. A long sigh left her as she walked through her house, a smile dancing along her face as she did so. The last time she was ‘walked home’ was by Robin Hood and as you can imagine, that thought was still on her mind. Body draped in a robe, she left her laptop open doing her own personal research on whom Robin Hood was. As much as she’d like to think that she was making a breakthrough when it came to figuring out exactly who he was… she wasn’t. Humming to herself, she skipped through her house making herself some tea. While she was gone, Gwen patched into Marian’s computer. “It looks like we’re in luck. She’s been researching already.” With that she typed a few things and opened up a pre-created webpage on Marian’s computer. Gwen’s timing was perfect, considering the blonde had just returned to her computer to see a webpage she didn’t think she had opened. Moving the mouse along the website, there was information she didn’t know that someone had found out about Robin Hood. In worry someone, like her father’s men, might attempt to look through her computer history in order to use what information she might find in their own personal way to find Robin Hood. She scribbled down the address of the restaurant and decided to go during the evening when all the ‘rich’ people are out and about. Maybe he’ll be there… “There was a long amount of hesitation than she erased her history and closed the website. I think you’re good to go Robert but… it’s still kinda creepy.” 7pm rolled around, the time when business people were out hunting for others to take home and… well that’s not the reason the blonde was walking into the restaurant but she did hope she might run into the vigilante himself . Marian dressed herself in her favorite strapless wrapped white dress and heels. Upon her entrance, she was greeted by the host. “Hello miss, table for one?” “Oh actually I was just going to take a seat bar.” She said politely giving a gentle jester towards the bar. How would she know it was Robin Hood? Granted he probably would recognize her and maybe… maybe even talk to her! But all she could do was hope right now. Marian took a seat at the bar, no purse this time, keeping everything in a small pocket against the dress to keep things safe and now, all she could do was wait… wait and order a martini. Why? She’s at a bar, why not!

Although the thought of him hacking in to Marian's computer so they could get a chance to talk was a bit weird, he pushed that thought aside as he changed in two a black V-neck sweater, some jeans, and comfortable shoes. His messy brown hair in place, a wide, tooth revealing, smile, and a very small splash of cologne, and hew as good! As he walked out of his room and Gwen saying that it seemed to work. Robert grinned and grabbed his coat, patting Gwen on the head. "God job, kid! Wish me luck!" With that he walked out of the door, and in to the New York night. --- When Robert arrived there was the smell of delicious food of all sorts, people talking, music playing, the bar filled. Robert moved his way past the crowds, not slipping his hands in to others' pockets in an attempt to get more money. Not everyone in this city deserved to be robbed. He kept glancing around the area, trying to spot the beautiful blonde. Did she even go to this place? Did she decide to get some rest, or called her dad so that he could possibly catch this guy? All his answered were answered when he saw the white dress. He would have been drooling about her if he didn't get bumped from behind, knocking him back in to the real world. Okay, Robin. You got this. He casually made his way towards the bar, seeing an empty spot near Marian. He then gave a laugh and shook his head. "Marian Anderson. Of all the people to run in to." Robert said with a smile, leaning on the bar, staring forward, waiting for the bartender to come over so he could order a drink. "Looks like I wasn't the only one who thought the idea of eating at the sea side restaurant was too tempting to turn down. Even if I did come here alone." Robert glanced over at her, raising an eyebrow. "You are here alone, right? I didn't get 'stood up' on our non existent date?" Robert asked jokingly, knowing the real reason she was here, but he had to make sure this looked authentic.

Coming to the bar restaurant/bar was something normal for Marian. She wasn’t much of a party person, except when she is invited to the big parties full of free food and yummy drinks. Instead she was here, at a bar, hoping and praying that the mysterious Robin Hood would show up and… and what? Would he approach her and talk to her? Or would he ignore her because she isn’t someone he would rob? He said that he wanted to finish their dance. He could use the music and the dance floor to fix the fact that they were cut off from the dance. But what if he didn’t? What if he just ignored her and coming here was all for nothing… she got dressed up and fancied to come out and sit alone at a bar for the sake of… nothing. A voice echoed to her and her head turned. Her large sparkling blue eyes landed on someone she wasn’t expecting to see; Robert Locksley… Her smile dropped slightly when she realized it was him. A small sigh left him as she turned to look at the bartender who brought over her drink. Now she couldn’t use the excuse that she had just finished eating to leave and if Robin Hood saw her talking to someone he probably wouldn’t approach her. Her plan had failed and now she was stuck until she finished her drink. Her small hand wrapped around the glass and she gave him a gentle smile. “You can’t get stood up on a non-existent date so you’re fine.” She said with a cheeky grin to him. It would be rude not to be friendly but at the same time, she really didn’t want to be around him. Why? Because she didn’t want to put up with his nonsense and she didn’t want to lose her chance to talk to Robin Hood again. Her gaze moved around the restaurant/bar in an attempt to look for anyone familiar. “Actually I was hoping to run into someone to be honest but…” She let out a light sigh and turned her attention forward before putting the martini glass to her lips. “I doubt he’d even know I’m here.”

Robert shrugged at her rather harsh words of not being able to get stood up if it was non existent. But he agreed with her nonetheless. He ordered a glass of his favorite scotch. When she said she was expecting to run in to someone, he turned his attention to her. "I know I've been gone for a while, but the Marian Anderson I remember was smart, loyal, caring, beautiful... If you're half of anything you used to be, this guy you're waiting for is really going to miss out." Robert said casually, nodding a thanks to the bartender as he came back for his drink. "What's this guy like? Obviously nothing like Eddy. And I'm guessing not a cocky lawyer who fell on his ass. He's gotta be someone great to get your attention." He was somewhat enjoying this. Guilting her a bit from all the things he's heard about him from others, knowing exactly who she was waiting for, and he really wanted to know what she thought of him-- well, Robin Hood... But he was the same guy! And hopefully he wasn't being too much like his old self. He hadn't told her how "hot she looked." he didn't tell her she should be more focused on him, and he tried so very hard not to look her up and down, even though his mind was pleading to look at her in all her glory. If he really needed to he could spark her interest in saying he knew a thing or two about this masked man, but at the same time he didn't want to play it that way. He already was head over heels for her, and he wanted her to fall for him. He didn't really want to trick her in to liking him. And no, this wasn't a form of tricking. This was simply using his resources to get her to talk to Robin to show her that he's not the asshole he used to be. Worst case scenario: She falls for Robin, and Robin can show her his real identity-- But that's the last resort. He didn't like the idea of revealing himself as Robin Hood and then getting laughed at, or vomiting for thinking she was attracted to him, or anything like that...

Marian had a good portion of her drink gone when he began to talk and it’s a good thing that she had swallowed or she might have spit the drink all over the bartender in surprise at his comments. Her eyes expanded at his find and rather flattering words, her attention moving to Robert, her eyes expanded with all of her muscle strength to keep her jaw from dropping. Sure, she’d expect comments from him but nothing like that. Her gaze scanned his face, looking for any sort of hints that he might be placating her, but no signs showed up. “Well…” She began slightly; a bit surprised that he would ask and even compare himself and Edward to Robin Hood. “He’s different.” With that she took another drink of her martini which emptied and the bartender began to make her another. “He seems rather charming and surprisingly aware of what’s going on around the city. He makes some stupid jokes but I find them funny. He is gentleman-like and caring in almost a weird sort of way.” She shrugged her bare shoulders slightly before giving the bartender a smile and taking the other drink. “Not a ‘bad’ weird though.” She said correcting herself rather quickly. “But, I don’t think he’d actually pay attention to me, I’m not anything special.” Shrugging her shoulders again as she took a small sip of her drink. She didn’t really except Robin to approach her. She basically came here in an attempt to try and find him but alas, she really couldn’t be sure it would happen… but you can’t blame a girl for trying right?

She thought he was charming? He tried to ignore the "stupid jokes" part, because the other parts were things he didn't really hear from everyone. It seems the only thing people see him as is a thief or savior. He was a gentleman out to try to make people's lives better by helping them with the lousy economy that this city has. He raised his eyebrows at the comment of him caring was weird, but then lowered them when she explained it wasn't a bad weird. He took a sip of his drink, and almost coughed when she said she wasn't anything special. It wasn't supposed to be dramatic, or to make his point. He was in love with this woman, and admired a lot about what she has done. He looked over at her, and gave a smile. "Every single guy, single or not, keeps glancing over at you." He said. He was a lawyer for quite some time, and now a professional pickpocket. he was very observant, and easily noticed that. "You have everyone's attention, and they don't even know you. If this mystery man knows even the smallest bit about you, he's most likely going crazy thinking about you. Thinking if you approve of every one of his actions, even the smallest ones, if he is the man that deserves someone like you..." He paused, and looked over at her, then shook his head. "I've been gone for a while. Read a lot of books, especially romance novels..." He explained weakly, trying to hide that he was speaking a bit too much from the heart. He waved the bartender over and ordered another drink. "The point is, if you got dressed up to become the most beautiful woman in New York for this guy, he'll do his damnest to be here to not let you down, or its his loss."

Her head jerked back and shot to him when he began to cough, nearly chocking on his drink. Her eyebrows rose in surprise and she nearly jumped out of her seat to make sure that he was okay but he seemed to recover well enough. His words triggered her to look around; heads jerked looking away from the two of them. Was, was she really drawing that much attention to herself? Could… could one of the men in the restaurant be her secret crush? Was he taking her in like the rest of the men before he approached her? Would he actually approach her while she was talking to Robert… probably, he wasn’t all that shy of getting in the way of Edward.

Marian’s attention moved back Robert as he began to talk. His words were kind, caring and extremely flattering. She felt her face turn pink in a blush as he went on and on about her. This was something amazing. She couldn’t believe he was talking like that; that was a first. Typically she’d heard about how hot she was or things along the lines of that. He’d be sarcastic and downright annoying. Yet here he was, speaking what could be considered nice things to her. Nice and flattering.

A small laugh left her, “Keep reading those romance books.” She said with a nod as she finished up her drink. Placing down her martini glass it was replaced by another by the bartender who also replaced his drink. Crap, this bartender wasn’t giving her a chance to leave. Mentally sighing she picked up the glass and took a small drink before turning the chair completely to face Robert she gave him a small, yet honest smile. “So you seem to want my attention, and you’ve giving off the impression that you’ve changed. I’m impressed. You have my attention.” She gave him a full smile showing her bright white teeth as she picked up her martini glass. “What do you want to talk about?”

Robert saw her face turn a shade of red, and this was probably the first time anything he had ever said made her blush. Robert was not a man to shy away from people, or feel a bit nervous, but Marian Anderson was making it hard for him to find his words. He looked around the bar when the bartender gave Marian another martini, and when he turned back, he saw the blonde turned right at him, giving him a smile. Not only was she impressed, but he had her attention! Everyone in this restaurant could only dream of getting this chance! After his brain was done rebooting, Robert gave a small laugh as he took a sip of his drink, and turned to face her. "I just want to clarify this isn't a date." Robert said with a nod, but his dark green eyes twinkling with a matching grin. "We are just two people who really didn't like a co-worker that who happen to like alcohol and sea food and craved it at the same exact time." Robert explained, having a fake professional tone as he took another sip of his drink.

When asked what he wanted to talk about, his mind raced. He could ask her what he really thought of him, of Robin Hood, the state of their city, all the boring stuff. Then he looked at her again. "Well, to keep things interesting, how about a game of truth or dare? It's been a while since us law types got to act like a group of kids." Robert said with a shrug. "Nothing too ridiculous, or inappropriate for this 'not-date' we're having." Robert also added, finishing off his drink.

Leaning back against the chair she watched him as he seemed to be a bit surprised that he now had her attention. In fact; she was pretty sure she was going to be meant with some form of sarcastic and smartass comment from him but instead, she was greeted by something with playfulness. His comment about it not being a date was greeted with a nod. “Just a coincidence.” She said, agreeing with his clarification. She wasn’t going to return to work and listen to some form of talk about how she went on a date with Robert Locksley even though she hated him. Well now, it wasn’t so much a hate. She could tolerate him; maybe after a few drinks it will be amusing to be around him… but we can’t give him that much credit.

His response of wanting to play truth or dare got an eyebrow raise as a response. But the more he spoke about how they’d keep it PG and that sometimes they needed to push aside their adult sides and be kids again, her eyebrow lowered and a small smile moved her full lips. “Alright.” She said with a nod. “Truth or dare?” With that she took a drink of her martini.

Robert gave a boyish smile as she agreed to the game of truth or dare. It was something no one would expect. Grown ups playing a kids game, at a bar in New York City. One thing you couldn't say about this idea: it wasn't a normal "not-date" they were having. Robert sat up, holding his drink and looking around while thinking. "Decisions Decisions..." He was worried he would get the question of "Do you know who Robin Hood is?" since he's been working on background checks on this guy, but that was a dumb thought. He just "got back" to New York, and would no very little on his first day! Ah, to hell with it! He was a risk taker! He robbed rich people for a living now! He's living on the edge working inside the hornet's nest!

"I choose... Dare." Robert said, glancing over at her as if to say "Do your worst." He took a sip of his drink and gave a smile. "Go easy on me." He wasn't sure what he was in for by saying Dare, there's probably a lot she wanted to get back at him for. He wasn't the classy man he is today way back when... And to be completely honest, deep down he was actually surprised that Marian was still here, talking to him, actually playing along with this plan! He had a lot of crap happen to him these past few years, but now things were finally turning up Robert's way!

The last person Marian ever wanted to spend personal time with was Robert Locksley, you can ask any of her coworkers that and they’d inform you of the same thing. So the likely-ness of the situation that was happening the bar to actually happen was second to none. But here they are, talking to each other and he was respectable and she was, well less bitchy. But the alcohol in her martinis were helping with the situation. She was able to deal with him and his old jerk-style personality with a desperate need to have a conversation with someone else other than Edward about himself or her father about everything but fun stuff.

“Well, let’s keep the game P.G. okay?” She said with a grin to him before tapping her chin with her free hand. Thinking about what she could do to him for a dare in order to keep the situation P.G. Her lips pressed together in thought as she watched him closely, her free hand gently stirring the martini mixture. “Hmmm….” She said, pulling the attention to her as she thought. Her gaze moved to the nearby bowl upon the bar top. Reaching over she grabbed a cherry from the bowl and tossed it gently at Robert. “Tie the steam into a knot with your tongue. You have thirty seconds.” A grin moved across her face, and she began to count. “One, two, three, four, five…”

Robert caught the cherry and grinned, looking over at Marian as she counted down, he took his time as he put the whole thing in his mouth, and he simply looked around the room as his tongue went to work, just before she said twenty-nine, he stuck the stem out of his mouth, and gave a smile, spitting it in a napkin. "Not too bad, spent a fair share of my time at parties." Robert said quietly, then pointed at Marian. "Your turn. Truth or dare?" He asked, curious on what she would choose.

If he had never left and become Robin Hood, he probably would have had a drink poured all over him, with her swift exit... Robert wasn't a horrible person, he just had a shitty father, and tried to cope with that in a negative way... But since he spent a couple years learning from himself and not being spoon fed anything, he knew who he really was. He wasn't anything like his parents, or any other corrupt businessman out there. Now he was himself, in a nice bar and restaurant, talking to the woman he has been in love with for a very long time. He wasn't expecting her to fall in love with him instantly, both of them running to his place to spend the night together! But this was a step towards a right direction.

Marian continued to count, curious on whether he could do it or not. The amount of people in the bar seemed to dwindle and drop away as the night went on. Less people meant less likely to have coworkers seeing her actually getting along with Robert. But at the same time, she shouldn’t be shy about it. People change, and Robert was a shining example of that. Though, with people leaving Robin Hood could be leaving too and she’d lose her chance to talk to him. Then again… she could try to get the business card from Mister Taylor that Robin Hood had given him but, Mister Taylor didn’t need to know that.

“Oh that’s right, I have to go…” She said with a small bit of disappointment in her voice. Spinning the martini in her hands she took a sip before tilting her head, “I’ll take a truth.”

Robert noticed she was distracted. She was obviously still looking for Robin Hood. Robert gave an internal sigh, and knew that this master plan of his wasn't really working for him. Sure, she thought more of him in a way, but she was too concerned about this mystery man. If he learned anything from those romance novels, he knew that the mystery charmer trumped any kind of guy, no matter who he was. He took a large sip of his drink, and looked over at her. "Would you like me to tell you what i know about Robin Hood? I know i've only heard about the guy, but i spent the whole day reading top secret files... Answer truthfully" Robert said with a small smile. He didn't want this night to be about his alter ego, but he would do anything for this woman. He wasn't going to say anything to keep her hopes up, but at least ease her mind on why he wasn't technically here.

As you can imagine, Marian was surprised to hear his question. He had been working exclusively on the Robin Hood case and it was a question probably many people would ask him over his time being at the office. She was no different with her curiosity but at the same time, something pulled at her. At first she opened her mouth to answer, than shut it in though. Her blonde brows pushing together in thought, she could really learn some valuable information from him even though Robert hadn’t been on the case for too long. “You know, as much as I feel like I should say yes…” Her blue gaze moved up to meet his eyes, “I’d rather not. A mystery about him is a good thing and the last night I need is my father getting more down my throat then he already is.” A small nod lifted and fell her head as she brought her drink to her lips. “Besides that topic might get in the way of our ‘not date’ and we hear about him enough as is.” With that she took a drink of her now empty martini glass and set it back down on the bar top. “Truth or Dare?"

Robert couldn't have heard her right... Did she just turn down some valuable information on Robin Hood? Because they were on a "not date"? He either didn't know woman at all, or she was warming up to him (He was almost certain it was the first one). He gave a small smile and nod. "Fair enough, I understand that whole 'annoying father' thing." Robert said. She asked Truth or Dare, and before he could answer his phone started ringing. He gave a short laugh and motioned for one second as he pulled his phone out, looking at the caller. It was his friend John Little. He looked up at Marian and rolled his eyes. "I'm back for one day and Eddy's dad thinks I focus solely on work." Robert said, refusing the call and putting it back in his pocket. He knew Little John wouldn't approve of this, it was a risky move, and would say something along the lines of "This won't only get you hurt, but if anyone finds out, she will be hurt too."

He did not like how level headed and smart the large guy was, but he was sure nothing bad was going to happen with this little plan of his. "I'll take truth this time." Robert said. He was a good actor, if she asked anything a bit too much he could always make up a fake answer, although he didn't want to lie to her anymore tonight.

Marian couldn’t help but nod at his response about ‘annoying fathers’. Ever sense she got walked home by Robin Hood (probably the safest she had ever felt in a long time walking the streets of New York City) her father was hounding her for information. Asking her same questions over and over again, most likely attempting to get her to ‘slip up’ and tell him something he didn’t already know. He would even go as far as to reward the questions countless times to see if she would respond differently. Finally she had to yell at him, ‘Dad! It doesn’t matter how many times you ask me, it doesn’t change my story and don’t try to ask me different questions with the same meaning. I work with lawyers; they do that every day to everyone. Please don’t do that to me.’ With that, he finally dropped it… for now.

It wasn’t until he said that Edward’s father was already getting on his case about the Robin Hood situation, this made her eyebrows rose in surprise. Sure, Mister Taylor was aggressive about the situation but she didn’t realize he would be that intense about it. Though, her eyebrows dropped when she realized that it was now ‘his money’ that was the problem. Which turns it into a top priority, “Truth huh?” She repeated with a hint of surprise to her voice. “Well…” Her head tilted, her blue eyes scanning his face as she heard the bartender make her yet another drink. “Why did you take the case?” Sure she could understand that ‘money’ could be the answer and a legitimate one non-the-less but you can’t blame her for asking.

The answer to her question was simple. 'Oh, I want to make sure your dad, and Ed's dad never truly finds Robin Hood because he's me, and if i get caught i might be going to jail for a very very very long time, and a lot of good people are out there following my stupid heroics, and i dont' want them hurt.'That was a noble and very insane answer for their very first "not date" So he thought he would go with the "not Robin Hood" answer, which was still a very truthful one. "I've spent the last two years jobless, barely scraping by, and thinking about all the horrible shit I've done." Robert said with a shrug, taking another long sip before the glass was empty. "Not just to you but... You may not believe me, but I tried to stick up for the little guys way back when. I sometimes defended someone for free... I'm not asking for redemption, or apologies." Robert looked over at her.

"When I got the call for another chance to try to make a difference, to get off my ass, I took it. I didn't know what the job was specifically until i showed up today. After just looking at his first few cases." He looked around, and then leaned in closer to a loud whisper. "I knew this guy wasn't a horrible criminal as all these big businessmen are claiming. I've seen people losing money, and the next day a charity receiving the same amount by an anonymous donator."

"So for a short explanation, I wanted a second chance... and now I'm regretting what I'm getting in to." He called the bartender for another drink.

It was interesting to hear so much honesty from Robert, especially when she was scanning his face for a sign of a lie. She didn’t see any though. So she could take what he had to say at face value. Her head jerked back in surprise when he pointed out, yet again, that he was a jerk to her. It was still surprising to hear but at the same time, it was good to know he regretted it. Maybe she had been too hard on him to begin with and he really has changed his ways.

A smile moved gently across her face and instead of taking the martini glass, she reached over and placed her hand gently on his forearm with a soft smile. “You’re not the only person who feels like he’s not all bad. But theft is wrong no matter who it’s from; hopefully he’ll just get his point across of ‘the rich need to give more to the poor’ and he can retire away before you catch him. I’m not saying ‘don’t do your job’ but I will say that if happen to not come up with much, I doubt that Mister Taylor would be able to argue with you about it.” Yes, she was encouraging him to hold back on his findings and hopefully the rest of the higher end community would see the point that Robin Hood was making. Just a sprinkle of encouragement, nothing too incriminating; just a dash of an idea.

With that she leaned back into her chair letting go of his arm and picking up her martini glass, draping her free arm over the back of the chair she gave him a smile. “I’ll pick dare.”
