Back in days of the old guild, we had a thread that stated RPG rules and guidelines to Arena RP. I'm curious to know if there is still one of those threads, so I can turn my homies in its direction to catch them up.

Normal
Powered
God

Normal is self explanatory. Basically humans and their limits.

Powered refers to magical beings, and the like. people with magical abilities, armaments, and such fit here. Its a fairly wide scale.

God is also self explanatory. Essentially, god level powers.

T1 is basically a style of fighting, concerning preparations for magic. You are more than welcome to check out the spar between me and Scr(in the Alphonse vs Anya thread), as I will be giving pointers there in T1.

So would a character with cybernetic enhancements be T1 or T2? What about someone with a metallic skeleton?

T1 in this case is the system used, not power grade. so your char can't be a T2.

and it really depends on what your enhancement and metal skeleton can do.
If we're talking Raiden or Adam Jensen grade, then it's definitely powered.
If we're talking about Kick-Ass type of metal skeleton, then he's still Normal.
As for cybernetics, compare it to human world records, if it can surpass those, then it's powered. If it's still at the same range, then it's normal. We're talking about 300 kg weight lifting and the like.

In the old system which you may be referring to cybernetic enhancements tends to start around T3, as T2 is the peak of human potential, which cybernetics are pretty much designed to overcome in most forms of fiction.

Though the ranked system is somewhat more broad, so a cybernetic-ally enhanced human (presuming they're not completely devoid of human weaknesses) is usually powered, but on the lower end of powered.

but they are correct. usually, I'd consider it powered, based off the levels it raises you too. if it only allows you to lift 300 pounds, when before you vould only lift 150, then its still normal. if it enables you to lift 3000 then its powered, things like that.

How does one become ranked? Thanks in advance!

Once a new tournament starts up you compete in ranked matches with other RP'ers. Then, based on your win/loss record you get rank.

Of course, the first step is to make a character and then maybe do some non-ranked matches if you're new to this sort of thing.
