Guys I'm going to disappear for a while. Between computer, and RL problems I've just been sapped of the will to give this RP the effort it deserves.

We're thinking of putting this rp on hiatus for a bit. Not putting it on the executioners block, but on pause. Right now we're lacking a bit of inspiration, and not to mention, two important players (Fallen & Rtron) both have issues posting properly due to Real Life.

We also need to letit simmer in our minds a bit for figuring out how to balance it more. Right now it favors the dark side a bit too much Jedi have too little hope, really. If any of you have ideas for how to solve that particular conundrum, don't keep it to yourself.

Personally a reboot, at least in my mind, might be in order. It would make it easier to establish new players, ease the old Plotlines which didn't work and what not. Though to be honest I was worried this might happen and that makes 3 rps I've lost during my lacking net period. *sigh* -_- Now I'm down to four...

As for the balance issue. I could have a few ideas which one is namely making the prison level easier to escape or at least get to in Navi's case. The little droid's POV has shown a lot outside my two PC's limitations when it comes to getting about to freeing the Jedi. Personally it wasn't much writing about him with too little pay off. I wasn't sure where I was going or what to do without instantly running into a brick way during our chats before Guildfall.

Reboot might work, but it ought to wait till you and/or Rtron is back in business.

Would you perhaps be willing to take on making Jedi faction work better there?

Alright, cool. It's just I think the amount of Sith characters sort of out number Jedi, and if you guys are trying to make it more fair for the Jedi, I thought you might of have to subvert some players to the Jedi side.

We're thinking of changing our rules a bit about characters a bit. Open up for multiple characters more.

Perhaps have people build one or two ''main'' character(s) and a few NPCs that are more disposable or can be expanded later into PCs.

Another thought we have had is to implement a functional timeline in-RP. Time moved too slowly in the version here.

We'll also have to recruit more players.

A reboot might be healthy.

In particular, my situation with Aftermaths current running has left me totally and completely burnt out on it, to the point where I was about to step down as GM and perhaps even leave entirely before Ellri announced Hiatus. The reasons for that are complicated and entirely my fault (so don't anyone go feeling bad or anything).

Suffice to say, if we redo this, I will not be controlling named NPCs. I would likely keep Nyiss around and play Jewel as my PC, and that would be it. That would mean Viera, Thalia and any of the other myriad of characters I was responsible for writing would not return under my auspices, if at all.

There are a lot of NPCs that would not return, yes. Now we have a far better idea of what is needed and what isn't needed.

I was wondering what was going on, hadn't checked in in a little bit due to work and other things. I don't care whether we reboot or not, though it'll be sad to see all that work everyone put into this to keep it going for so long mostly gone. All things come to an end though, and it'll be refreshing to breath some new life with more active players.

its always sad such, but we couldn't continue as it was with both Fallen and Rtron away, and such a time also provides ample opportunity to consider revisions. We've had it a bit hard to plan things for a while now, but till the double absence, it wasn't as visible.

We would have loved to see Aftermath 1 reach its 1st anniversary, but as we've also forgotten what date we launched it, that is kinda hard to tell when would be. (note to self: make a record of when Aftermath II is launched)

Yeah...it felt more then a little limiting when I was playing Navi as his main purpose was to help break the Jedi out in the end. I liked that it wasn't easy but I didn't expect it to be an outright fortress on the inside plumbing. I thought more or less it was modified to contained Jedi for the trip which in my mind meant it still had flaws from the original design even if they were hard to get to. Meh, maybe I made it hard made it harder then necessary.

As for the character limit, I wouldn't toss it completely out the door. I suggest taking the middle ground instead and making it two main PCs with x amount slots open for NPCs. It might allow the players to create characters to interact and be killed off when they leave, vanish, etc. Too many pcs can clutter things fast and make it hard to keep track of the characters.

The time line, I agree it went too slow at times but there was a time or two I thought it skipped over too many days. The time line itself might've not been the problem but rather what happened during that timeline. There wasn't much other then torture, not that many Sith compared to Jedi, and none of the Jedi PCs really made progress towards escape or tried to intervene when one of their own was taken. Mine included which I aim to change for the reboot.

Not to mention with some scenes, like when Allanar was retrieved for Nyiss, it happened rather fast to me. I think Xid could've possibly tried to stop it if given a chance but instead he was already written out of the room before Xid could. I might make some altercations to Xid's personality, making him a little more inquisitive and curious, at least with machines. I still aim on keeping the incident with Ithor as it was fun to write and actually hope to explore that storyline one day farther.

Anyway, I have a few ideas if we're going with the reboot. Namely with Jayda when it comes to keeping her in the Plotline and interacting with others, though I'm not sure how well it will work as I'll need to talk to both GMs about it fully before I decide officially. On the subject of Jayda, Echo, I'll likely send you a pm about Hymo then in regards to the reboot. I would still like him to return for the reboot due to the slight Plotline I have in mind but after your mention about having only a limited number under your control, I might have Eli or myself take the format you've made of him and play it if you're no longer interested in playing him when the reboot happens. I might also recalculate the age math in my CS a bit, spacing Jayda's youth as a Padawan out and go into more detail too before then.

The skips were a bit long. But they were kinda scaled to a faster time progression. Which of course didn't help much.

Looking back, some of the Allanar scenes did have slight tendencies of railroading in them.
