At the VCT
Level 87- Training ground

Another sparring partner was sent rolling on the ground as Will marched towards him angrily. The partner was a normal Vygorn wearing padded armour whereas Will had opted not to wear armour at all. Will picked him up to by the neck and looked at the onlookers. "What am I supposed to do?" He asked frustrated "When the Hygrons are amassing and meeting with the damned Renegades, and my men can barely keep up with me!?" He said, explaining his thoughts. Dropping the choking Vygorn casually, Will walked out of the room and into the hallway when a more secretary looking Vygorn stood. "Sir, we found them." He said. Will smirked, devilishly so. "Show me them." The two departed and entered another room where seven Vygorns stood.

Will looked at them all and raised his arms open. "My Anti-Hygrons!" He commented, getting all of their attention, he then clapped his hands together, "We have work to do..."

As Ethan exited the club he wondered if it wouldn't be smarter to go back in he still didn't trust these Renegades. But that was the main reason he was going with them, if they were planning something he wanted to know as soon as possible. That said when outside he made sure he neither got too close nor showed his back to them.

He even considered filling his pockets with sand as a last resort weapon, but decided against it. Not only did he doubt it would help much, there was no way to do it without at least one of them noticing, meaning the surprise effect would be lost form the start. So in his opinion he had no other choice than just going along with everything right now.

Gary turned to Phil. "About twenty minutes out, by car." He said, and with that two pickup trucks pulled up outside the club. "Hmm... Ok then..." Phil replied simply, lost in thought trying to deduce it's location before getting there. Instead of loading into the truck, Phil glanced at Ethan. As he seemed apprehensive and tense, Phil approached him and spoke quietly to him, making sure no one can here him. "Ethan, I'm guessing you don't trust our visitors over there? Ditto. Just know that if it does turn sour, I have a plan. Just look out for anything suspicious for me while we are over there". After he finished briefing Ethan, Phil pulled his cloak back over his head and stood with his arms folded as he waited for the rest of the group.

After being let out of the truck, Amaya looked around the vast warehouse. She took in her surroundings, not quite sure of how to react. They, who ever "they" were, were extremely organized. Soon a shirtless man came up and addressed Max. He seemed relatively dangerous on his own, however, since he was part of this organization (she assumed), he must not be too bad. Also the fact that they didn't have weapons trained on her yet was a good sign.

Amaya was a little ticked off that the unknown man was talking about her as if she wasn't there, but she decided to let it slide. Not fully knowing what was going on, Amaya decided it was best to let Max handle whatever needed to be handled.

The man looked at Amaya. "Can you come with me please?" He asked, keeping his stern expression but didn't try to be threatening. As he turned around, a massive tattoo of the Renegade symbol was plastered on his back with even more tattoos littered around the back of his body as well as the front. He strided across the warehouse, not looking back to see if Amaya was near.

Being suddenly addressed, Amaya was shaken from her analyzing stupor. He started walking away before she had even had a chance to fully comprehend what he was asking, much less respond. She started jogging to catch up with the tattoo adorned man. His long strides were difficult to keep up with, so Amaya had to keep her pace to a vigorous trot. She didn't know where he was taking her, but after coming along this far, she had no choice but to follow.

The two reached a makeshift command center with monitors and wires strewn across the floor, sectioned off by containers and boxes. The man turned to Amaya. "I need to keep this brief, I'm a busy man and you want to be on your way. Firstly, do you know about Vygorns? What they are?" He asked for his first question.

"Um, I don't believe I know the full extent of who they are or what they do, but I have heard of the name." Amaya answered quickly, but cautiously. She didn't want to get on this man's nerves, but she needed to give him the information he needed.

"Right. Next, what exactly were you doing at Cloud Nine? Its a bit suspicious after my boys spotted a Vygorn leave the building." He explained.

"Mm," Amaya thought about her answer. This one could make or break it. "I was shown a vision. The voice in the vision told me to visit Cloud Nine. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have listened, but this vision wasn't just a dream. The vision came at a time when I was unlikely to fall asleep and when I woke up, the conditions were something more accustomed to me." It was difficult to put into words. Amaya was uncertain if she chose the right way to explain, but now she could only hope that the man would be able to comprehend her words.

The mans eyes widened in realization. "Elemental..." He whispered. "And you're supposed to meet a guy... Phil... something. Right?" He asked, losing his stern tone for a little bit.

"Yea, Phil Ripley, how did you know?" Amaya asked. "Also what's an "Elemental"?"

"A type of person I trusted a long time ago." The man stated. "I think I need to explain somethings to you." He said and then walked up to her to treat her as an equal as he talked. "I was the wall guard when this world was a global landfill, before the Vygorns came out of hiding. Phil was an "Elemental" someone who could control an element of the world, fire, wind, whatever. I let Phil and his entourage in to Appling, a small city off of Atlanta. I let him in and one of his friends, Will, another elemental, went evil, flooded the entire damn place and destroyed the city. No more Appling. Then the Vygorns are all uppity and out of hiding. So I set up this rebellion, and its turned to this." He said, extending his arms out to highlight the warehouse. "Get it so far?"

"Yea," Amaya said. So far this story was not looking good for her. Well, since she still hasn't met this Phil person, she couldn't exactly be considered apart of his group.

"You don't know Phil yet do you?" He said, knowingly as she looked a little confused.

"No, I was suppose to meet him in the basement of Cloud Nine, but Max intercepted me before I get there." Amaya replied, a bit more confident of her situation now.

"Damn it, Cowboy." He muttered. He then looked back to the command console and picked up a radio. "Junker Squad, double time it now, get those people here now!" The tattooed man ordered. He then turned back to Amaya. "You'll get to meet Phil soon." He said reassuringly. "By the way, I'm sorry I didn't get your name. A bit rude of me to be honest. What was it again?" He asked, completely dropping the stern tone now.

"Amaya Tsukino, and yours?" Amaya asked relieved to finally be in the clear.

"For now, folks around here simply call me Boss. You get used to calling people by their labels than their names here." He explained. "But my real name is Sean Hale."

"Nice to meet you Sean," Amaya said, trying her best to act warm, but instead it came out more formal. "Sorry if I call you by your name, I just think it's more appropriate in this situation."

"That's fine." Sean said. "Sorry about my people, they're a bit on edge... all the time." He explained. "Were a bit unorganized, and not exactly the best kind of militia you've seen, but we get to do our job." He explained, apologizing for the messy look of the Warehouse.

"No, it's fine. For a rebellion group I'd say you are fairly organized." Amaya answered, she was usually use to cleanliness, but now was not the time to be picky. After all she didn't have much control over her powers, so she'd be at the disadvantage if it came to a fight.

"Ha! That's a first." Sean commented. "You're all right." He said as a compliment.

"Ah, thanks?" Amaya answered, confused. She knew it was suppose to be a compliment, but still, pegging her as "adequate" wasn't necessarily a compliment.

"Well, thank you for answering my questions. Now, if you want, you can wait in the warehouse until the others get her, with the rest of the "Elementals" joining them." He offered.

"Alright, I will." Amaya nodded. She was interested in meeting these "Elementals". But she needed to be patient.

Gwen, unsure of what was going on, walked up the stairs, following Phil and the others. There were two trucks, most likely to take them wherever they were supposed to be going. "The next time I have a weird dream that tells me to go to some obscure place, I'm not going to listen to it," she grumbled in her head. No one was entering the truck, which kind of made sense since this was suspicious as hell. She glanced over at Gary and asked in a sassy tone, "How about I follow you guys in my own car? Because there is no way I am getting in that, letting you take me who knows where."

She knew he wasn't going to say yes, but it was worth a shot. Also, she kind of left her car at home, and she doubted he was going to trust her enough to go back to get it and meet them back here. But she really did not like the idea of riding in a weird man's truck especially after he pointed guns at them.

đź’®Serena Myersđź’®

Serena nodded and followed her fellow Elementals upstairs. Unlike her companions, she trusted in the good of these men. If they stated they wouldn't hurt them then she believed them. No one had ever lied to her before and they had shown enough trust when they didn't shoot anyone. The guns, however, made her a bit nervous. Without giving it much though, Serena casually strolled into truck and sat down. It was then she realized she hadn't called her mother goodnight! I hope she doesn't worry too much! Serena thought to herself and made a mental note to call her the instant she found a landline. Cellphones were foreign to her and she could never figure out how to use them, home phones were just so much easier. All they had were numbers you pressed.

"Are you all coming?" She smiled, asking the group.

The Warehouse

After ten minutes of driving, the main group finally arrives at the warehouse, driving in with two trucks. Junker Squad immediately got out and walk over to the shirtless man, speaking inaudibly and privately from the group. Max walked over to the meet the Elementals. "Howdy," He greeted, tipping his hat. "We've hear a lot about you folks." He explained. "But, uhh, I gotta tell ya something. The boss ain't too happy about this." Looking over to Phil in particular. "You'll know why soon enough." He stated, more directly at Phil. After debriefing Junker Squad, the Boss immediately set off towards the group, taking his powerful strides straight to Phil and looked him over, squaring up to him. "Remember me asshole?" He said, aggressively but still he kept his voice of focus. It was the captain of the guard from Appling, the same town Will went rogue and destroyed it, beginning his reputation in the Vygorn ranks. "I'll warn you now Ripley..." He growled. "You hurt these kids, or my people, I will personally hand you over to the Vygorn filth, and let them do to you what they did to Will, I'll fucking make sure they do that." He threatened. He then stepped back a couple of times, looking over Phil again before turning to the rest of you, spreading his feet apart and putting his hands behind his back. "As for you lot," He began. "You're Elementals as I'm sure you heard, this is the Warehouse, the base of the Renegades, us. We actively fight the Vygorn, we're the resistance, you could say. We're not much but we offer that you stay here, you can practice your skills here too. However, we would also like to make another offer." The boss explained, pausing a bit before carrying on. "We... well, I want you all to join the Renegades and help our cause." He stated. "It is a choice, we are not forcing you to join us, but we would greatly appreciate it if you would so both my people and you can all work towards a common goal of destroying the Vygorn threat." He said, explaining the reasoning behind his actions. "If and when you need me, you can find me at the control console." He added before promptly leaving.

Unlike Phil the main reason Ethan didn't trust the Renegades was because he carried a grudge thanks to the whole incident in the club. He realized this during the ten minute drive to their HQ. Still he was gonna keep his eyes and ears open as suggested. First things first though he headed over to Phil after it seemed he was done talking to the guy who just approached him, staying out of hearing range during their conversation.

"I think it's time you explain what the Vygorns are, and why I seem to be the only Elemental who has never heard of them." Ethan hoped Phil wouldn't take this the long way but he believed that he and the others were due an explanation, he also wasn't too sure if anyone else had mentioned not knowing about their enemy but he considered that an unimportant detail at this time.

Phil's eyes widened as the prior Appling guard approached him and, after taking the ear bashing, he replied in shock. "Y-yes, don't worry. I and all of us are here to protect the people". Phil paused and, before he could continue, lost his opportunity to talk to him. After he left, Ethan stated "I think it's time you explain what the Vygorns are, and why I seem to be the only Elemental who has never heard of them". Phil thought about how to go about it and then said to the group "Ok, Let's head inside and I'll explain. I need to talk to that man". Prompting the rest of the group to follow, Phil headed inside the building but was quickly stopped by a guard who patted him down, oblivious to the fact that everyone in the group could conjure their weapons. After everyone was cleared to enter, Phil started to explain "Vygorns are an alien race that take on the form of humans, they control and... worship? their own anti-element, Void. Void is the complete opposite of every element as it adsorbs the energy from the world and everything it touches. The reason you may have never heard of them is because they only revealed themselves about 10 years ago, even though they have been around for hundreds of years. Any other questions?" he said as he started walking down a corridor towards the area deemed "Control Room".

Gwen had reluctantly hopped on to the trucks and was taken with the rest of the gang to who knows where. When they arrived, a man started talking to them about joining them in their fight against the Vygorns and how they would train them to hone their skills. Gwen had to admit that their facilities were more high-tech than what they would have had underground Cloud Nine, but she was still a bit skeptical much like that Ethan guy. On the other hand, Miss World Peace and Butterflies, seemed to be all for it and so trusting. It kind of hurts to watch.

"So Phil? Everyone? Are we going to join them or not?" she asked, not that she really wanted to but this whole day has been a lot of doing things she didn't want to.

Ethan couldn't believe that these aliens had been public knowledge for ten years and he had never heard of them before."That long huh? Guess I was way more sheltered then I thought." Before he could ask anything else Gwen changed the subject to the matter at hand. He decided not to say anything since he didn't like the Renegades but had to admit working with them might be useful, so he was conflicted on the issue.

Serena stayed quiet as everyone asked their questions about the situation. It didn't make much sense to her why they were so against trusting another group. They both wanted to stop these so called aliens, the Vygorns, so why not work together? Didn't being on the 'good' side mean you tried your best to help everyone and create a better world? That's how Serena pictured a hero and she sincerely hoped the others would eventually too.

"I don't see a reason why we shouldn't work together, I'm all for it. We're both going for the same goal, it only makes sense we work together."

Lenny stayed quiet on the ride to the Warehouse, and as Phil spoke. She knew a bit about the Vygorns, but only what was public knowledge. Her dad insisted on knowing everything going on in the world, and it looked like it was serving her well, since the redhead apparently hadn't heard of them. She resisted the urge to scoff. She didn't hesitate before saying, "I'm in, sounds like fun. You seem alright." She offered a playful grin to everyone present. "I just need to know, do you- or we- have a plan?"

A bit hesitant on going with the group Eric seemed to be in a bit of a runt with himself and the offer handed to them, figuratively speaking of course. He had opted to keep him self quiet all the way from Cloud Nine and to were they were now.

So, on one hand I could help out and possibly take down a threat... He thought as he grabbed a hold of his chin for a moment, though it will come at a cost of blood, sweat, pain, and soreness... he grimaced at the feeling of pain, the one thing he tends to avoid himself or when he lessen the pain of others. The outcome would be great if we have any success, but then again... failure could happen as well...

Eric scratched at his chin while he talked with himself over the entire situation, though with the recently new knowledge gained about Vygorns and the Renegades all together Eric had came to a final decision on the internal debate going through his mind.

"If this is what I can do to help others... Well then, you can count me in as well." He said in a nervous tone as he looked down at his hand with a concerned expression of him being able to full control his powers and himself. I really hope I don't come to regret this...

So far it seemed that two of the Elementals were for teaming up and as much as he didn't like it he could see the advantages. "I'm not gonna pretend to be happy about it but if these Vygorns are that powerful we will need al the help we can get, besides this way we can keep an eye on the Renegades in case they try something."

“Well, anyway…” Phil tried to explain. However, one of the renegades came up to him and instructed “Mr. Ripley, please follow me. The Boss wishes to speak with you in private”.

“Well, Fine. Just let me talk with my people quickly” Phil agreed, turning towards the group. “Listen, just wait here and occupy yourselves until I get back” he suggested and then followed.

“So, where is he?” Phil asked after about a minute of walking about outside. “Right here” Said a voice all too familiar. “Will!” Phil replied in both shock and terror.

Will stood there, smiling behind his mask, with his arms crossed and an entourage of interesting looking Vygorns behind him. “Hello there Phil. Hiding out with the local Militia are we?” He asked in a coy tone. “No matter.” He continued. “I’ve come with an offer.”

“W-who are they?” Phil questioned with hesitation, readying two swords of conjured light. He focused each one down. There was seven in total, excluding Will. “They’re my response to you. Kind of a compliment in some sense.” He joked with a twisted sense of humour he developed over the last 20 years. “It doesn’t really matter WHO they are. It’s what they and I are going to DO that matters.” He explained, readying an ornate spear he drew from his back. The spear Phil all too well remembered.

Phil took a deep breath before releasing a blinding light that lingered for a few seconds. When Will and his team of anti-Hygrons recovered from the light, Phil had already ran. Will chuckled, which then developed into the laughter of a maniac. He all of a sudden just clapped his hands together. “Well played, Mr Ripley. Well played.” The psychopath commented. He then pointed at the man that had brought Phil here. “You! Send the signal.” He commanded. The Renegade traitor nodded and ran off from the Warehouse in a hurry. Will began walking towards the Warehouse, signalling the Anti-Hygrons to follow. “Destroy them.” He commanded, and with those words, the Anti-Hygrons began running towards the Warehouse, with the leader of the Vygorns walking behind.

As Phil ran, he sensed two different Vygorns with… similar void patterns heading towards him. With a tactful combat roll, Phil dodged both a kick and an upper cut aimed at him. When he turned around, he was in the presence of two anti-Hygorns. One was male, one was female, but they were similar in structure and stance. The twins in front of him was Annabelle and Frederick. Frederick stood there in his own fighting stance while Annabelle was looking at Phil with a playful look. “You should probably get going old man, I think you’re friends are going to need you.” She commented.

"Yeah..." Phil replied before realising the insult. "Hey!" he shouted "Im not even that old..." He took up a fighting stance in response.

Before any actual fighting happened, the other Anti-Hygrons were already running past the three. "Annabelle." Frederick stated. Annabelle tutted and rolled her eyes before running off with the others, straight torwards the front entrance of the Warehouse, in plain view too. Frederick, on the other hand, used his void rush to dash straight to Phil, forming into a black mist-like substance going straight towards the light hygron at speed, before reforming and going for the punch with a right hook.

Phil reacted to the hook quickly by moving at the speed of light, seemingly teleporting instantly behind the Vygorn. He then countered with a quick, yet harsh kick to the back.

Fred was taken aback by the speed that matched his own, and had no doubt that the oldest of the enemy could surpass his own capabilities. Fred took the kick full on and spun around, turning back torwards Phil. This was going to be an interesting fight.

Meanwhile, in front of the warehouse, the Renegades were already mobilisng. The Boss was also arming up with his fellow comrades shouting out orders too.

The first to reach the Warehouse was Riku. The red-headed brawler charged straight torwards the Renegades with Void Fire swirling around his fists. A Renegade charged back with a baseball bat and swung for the head. Riku duck and punched him in the gut, following up with a harsh uppercut that sent the Renegade up and tumbling back. Riku ran straight to the next target, who was running for a gun, and delivered a powerful blow into the back of the head.

Drew was the next to approach, with the coldest expression on his face. He pointed his pistol at one Renegade and fired. The bullet whizzed through the air and made its mark in the mans chest, rupturing it with blood and ichor spraying out too. Beside him was Takashi, who had a smile on his face that matched the grin imprinted on his surgeon mask. He pulled out an array of scalpels and knives he had in his back pocket, all wedged inbetween his fingers. Four Renegades tried to flank them but Takashi threw the blades in his hand. Each one made a squelch as they individually embedded themselves in the chests of the Renegades. Takashi ran up to one and slided behind him, stabbing a hidden syringe into his neck. The fluid ran deep into his veins and messed with his head. In the Renegades mind, his former friends had twisted into vivid monstrosities coming towards him. He screamed in fright and sprayed them down with the AK-47 in his hands. A second after, his head bursted open by the bullet Drew had shot. Takashi shot Drew a look. "I was enjoying myself a second there." He commented disappointedly.

Annabelle darted back and forth between enemies, kicking or punching a renegade once before using the Void Rush to go to another target. Renegades attempted to shoot her but she moved at such a pace that it was near impossible for the soldiers to draw a bead on her.

The blonde-haired man, Simon, was cutting swathes through the Renegades, stabbing one then slicing the arm of the other, while Zeke was swinging his katanas in mad flurries, decapitating a Renegade there and then eviscerating another.

It was a slaughter...

After Phil left, Serena glanced around the room, examining everyone's faces. Could these people eventually come to be her friends? Spending her whole life on a farm, the only friends she had come to acquire were her parents and all the animals they looked after. Maybe for the first time (in foreverrrrr), she'd have real people to call her friends. The thought sounded exciting and filled her up with hope. Serena couldn't help but grin.

It wasn't until screams of pain and torture echoed into the room did the smile leave Serena's face. Something was terribly wrong. Without giving it much thought, Serena was first to step out of their hiding spot and witness the complete horror occurring outside. Renegades were dropping by the second, most of them dead. Serena felt her heart ripped out of her chest and thrown across the room, shattering into a million pieces. This wasn't right. How could this be happening? Tears cascaded down her pale face. A man laying on the ground nearby coughed out blood. While Serena's whole body was shaking, she managed to sit next to him.

"I'm so sorry," She cried out. There had to be something she could do to help him. Why was she so useless? Without even checking his pulse, Serena knew he was moments from death. This poor man, what had he done to deserve death? What had any of them done? Tears continued to fall down her face. All she wanted to do was help him, help all of them. Serena felt something warm in her stomach, as if something was giving her the answer. Putting her hands in front of his body, Serena willed plants to carefully cover his wounds and after pausing for a moment, had them return to the Earth. The man slowly started breathing normally and his wounds eventually disappeared. She had done it, she had healed him!

The man grunted and thanked her before running off to where Serena didn't know. Wiping away her tears, Serena looked around. Only this time, she finally saw who was murdering people. She may of found out how to heal people, but could she actually fight against another being?

While Serena healed the fallen Renegade, Ethan watched the carnage and quickly came to the conclusion that the Elementals were no match for the attackers. His first idea was to make some kind of protective earthdome to protect him and the others, but he quickly decided against it. Not only did he doubt that he would be able to make is strong enough to hold any serious attacks of for long, if the attackers didn't see Serena's plants it would surely tip them of where to find the people who were most likely their prime targets as well as trapping them in one place.

"We have to focus on escaping rather then fighting those monsters. I don't doubt they're after us because of our abilities, but I also don't think we can beat them at this point." That said Ethan wasn't planning the others, and if the majority wanted to stay and fight he was willing to help to make sure they at least wouldn't go down easily.

The noises of fighting alerted Amaya that something was wrong. So she bolted out of the room she was in and followed the sound. The scene that lay before her was that of a massacre. There were two obvious sides, one with powers of the void, and mere humans. Amaya scanned the area noticing a group of people close together. A girl healed a soldier with plants. The rest of them weren't fighting. They obviously weren't part of the Renegades or the Vygorns. Which only left one other group, the Elementals. Well, now was a good a time as any to get introduced.

Amaya carefully made her way to the rest of the Elementals, making sure she didn't get noticed or caught in the cross fire. "Hey, I'm assuming you all are Elemantals. Don't worry, I'm one too. But introductions can be put off later. Right now I'm guessing most of you don't have any experience fighting due to your reactions. So, in a situation like this, it's best to take the advantage of distraction and flee. Fighting here will only get us killed." She spoke hurriedly, they needed to act before they were spotted.

Wayne was grumbling to himself the whole time walking to the club. He woke up late, which wouldn't have been a problem except he figured flying in a highly populated city may not be the best idea. So he had to walk, and because of that when he got to the club no one was there. He didn't think he was early seeing as everyone probably got the message at the same time. He walked in the club and it seemed as if someone had been in there recently, but there was no sign of them now. "Excellent, now how am I supposed to find them?" Maybe someone was around who could help, he figured it wouldn't hurt to try. "Hello? Anyone here? I was told this was the place to be."

Gavin watched from a nearby ally as someone went down into the bar. Having just arrived himself he didn't catch what they looked like. Slowly he sank back into the shadows, seeking to disapear into them. Within moments he had traveled from shadow to shadow as if swiming through water. Just as Gavin arrived the other guy asked if anyone was there. Stepping from the shadows Gavin showed himself. He had a rather indiferent look on his face as he scanned the surroundings. "I doubt I'm who your looking for, assuming your here looking for the others. Judging from the tracks outside they didn't leave all that long ago. Oh yea, and I'm Gavin. Shadows my game, but I'm not to blame."

Wayne was surprised for a second as Gavin appeared out of nowhere, then realized that he really shouldn't be. He was able to fly so it shouldn't surprise him that someone else was able to teleport through shadows. "Well, you're at least part of the group I'm looking for," Wayne said to him. "I'm Wayne, element of air. Nice to meet you Gavin." Gavin was right about them not leaving too long ago, which begged the question, "do you think they're coming back? Or should we try and follow them." Wayne started walking around the club, trying to find signs of a struggle to tell if they left of their own accord or if they were forced.

Having watched Wayne as he started to look around. "I haven't seen much, but if experience has taught me anything, they went peacefully. I say we go after them. No use in sitting here for them to get back, if they even do. For all we know they might be off fighting aliens or something." Gavin pulled a hand out of his pocket and offered it to Wayne. "Coming with? I doubt the ride will be like flying. Of course I'm also assuming you can if you have air as an element. It'll feel more like swimming. Just a heads up if you wanna hitch a ride." Cocking his head to the side he waited for a response.

"I suppose I will go with you, better than staying here at the very least," Wayne said as he walked backed and took Gavin's hand. "I'm trusting you with this, so don't end up taking us to China," he said in a joking tone. Even though he had just met the boy he trusted him, maybe it was how he talked, maybe because they were both elementals. Whatever the reason, he trusted Gavin would take them to where they needed to be.

Gavin actually chuckled at Wayne commented on going to China. "Don't worry, I've been doing things like this for almost ten years now." No sooner had he spoken then the shadows seemed to come alive, wrapping around the two of them in till they faded away into the darkness.

Being inside the darkness was like floating in water, but you could breath. They could see everything in vary shades of darker colors and the darkest of places seemed to be lit up slightly. Suddenly they took off as if launched out of a guns barrel, shooting out of the bar and down the street. Gavin sped from one shadow to the next like a dolphin diving into currents as he pulled Wayne with him.

It was easy enough for Gavin to follow the subtle tracks left behind by the others, mainly due to a coolant leak. Within minutes they were outside of the renegade base. Gunshots and fighting could be heard inside, albeit muffled and slow. As Gavin and Wayne emerged from the shadows, they grew louder and faster. "Well, were here. And somethings deffinetly wrong."

Luckily the emerged from the shadows next to a wall so Wayne could support himself. "No, gunshots aren't good," he gasped for breath as he spoke, "do you get used to that? Or is it always kind of weird?" He finally caught his breath and pulled his staff out of his pocket, preparing to fight whoever was inside the building. With a click of a button it expanded from about one foot in length to around six feet, he had made it himself, it took a long time to be able to fit all the parts for his glider in the staff while still making it small enough to fit in his pocket. "At any rate, should I knock the door open, or would you prefer to go in all stealthy through the shadows?"
