Why did Did no one recognize Sazh or Vanille when they were basically the monsters? It's been awhile, but their world seemed to miss depth in comparisons to the other worlds of the FF13 series which is usually slowly explained through townspeople.Especially now there is apparently God which is never mentioned :T
You mean when Sazh and Vanille went to Nautilus? Because at that point, the only one who knew the identity of the l'Cie was Dysley and his Sanctum troops. It wasn't until AFTER they caught Vanille and Sazh that they broadcasted the identities of the whole cast to Cocoon because at that point Dysley wanted them to spring his trap, which they did.
The world of 13 has a shocking amount of depth and lore to it. Like, there is a whole bunch of lore surrounding the culture and the religion and the beliefs of Cocoon and Pulse. There have always been gods in the 13 universe, both Lindzei and Etro were mentioned by name, and Bhunivelze, the God of Gods, was alluded to in the Analects of 13. Bhunivelze was given a name in 13-2, but he existed before then. Bhunivelze is the one who created Pulse, Lindzei, and Etro. Pulse made Gran Pulse, Lindzei made Cocoon, and Etro was the goddess of death.
All of the 13 games can basically be summed up with "The gods are ASSHOLES"
Because it's a JRPG and that's how it is.
