Apparently, spies among Unterburg's refugee population are feeding the location of Kingsmen sites to the regime. My question is, how did a bunch of refugees know where the Kingsmen are holding up in the first place? Perhaps one of them infiltrated Avalonia's Crown militia, but those dregs don't know the location of anything, and for this exact reason.

Threw down my first post. Very interested to see how this turns out.

Tried to leave results ambiguous. Didn't want to make assumptions on the success of my faction just yet.

I'll put some interest here. Any chance of a communist insurgent group that formed from the remains of a refuge camp?

The Red Orchestra

"The workers of the world have nothing to lose but their chains!"
Some theme music

Faction Name:
Red Orchestra

Faction Type:
Insurgents

Faction Main Base of Operation:
The Red Orchestra is in East Wood as sort of a migrating horde. They have tents set up during the night and usually travel during the day. As of right now, they're sending scouts out find suitable places to set up shop.

Faction Goals:
The Red Orchestra's main goal is to survive the chaos and/or perhaps exploit it to give rise to a communist nation from the ashes of the failed state. They have ambitious plans to enhance the nation's wealth and make it into a super power to spread the glory of the revolution to other lands.

Faction Composition:
The Red Orchestra currently has a huge number of people within it due to its origins as a massive refuge camp although new people are trickling in daily. There is very little care of who you actually are within the Red Orchestra as long as you swear loyalty to its leadership and the common man. Religion is not tolerate and people are either told nicely to give up religious ties or they're forced to.

Initial Assets:
  • Basic civilian equipment like portable radios and mass produced equipment that can be publicly bought.
  • A small number of weapons, namely in the form of weapons akin to medieval warfare at this point, minus the horses. A tiny number of firearms, mostly brought in from Vallahan's gang and whats left of the military equipment.
  • A number of civilian vehicles consisting mostly of pick ups and trucks with a few other models.
  • A single working military buggy/jeep armed with a machine gun with very limited amounts of ammunition. Affectionately called "the Asshandler" due to its derpy suspension.
  • Future smuggled modern weapons and equipment (Vallahan is still working out the contracts with smugglers)
  • About 600 Patriots - "Infantry" who have little training but are loyal and motivated the Red Orchestra's cause. They are all armed with melee weapons and are more synonymous with "bullet spongies".
  • 35 Red Devil Gangsters - Formerly Vallanhan's gang, he has since repurposed them as agents and the like. More formidable fighters than patriots, they are often used as shock troops but in reality they're more like "elite meatsheilds" with the weapons and training they have. They are also most responsible for bringing in money and making contact with smugglers and the like.
  • 5 Defectors - Former soldiers originally sent to guard the refugee camp and suppress any uprisings, seems like they did a good job. Their mostly act as commanders as they're the only ones with actual military training. Their limited numbers stem from the fact most of them were killed during the camp uprising.

Methods of Operation:
The Red Orchestra doesn't advise its troops to fight with government forces, but doesn't really stop them either, resulting in a few skirmishes between the Red Orchestra and government troops. The group itself is highly centralized with power reaching the top most parts, however freedoms are granted to all who live under the RO banner. The Red Orchestra prefers a sort of socialism-leaning towards-communism-approach, allowing its people to open up their own shops as long as they do not disobey the RO's guidelines.

Faction History:
The orgins of the Red Orchestra can be traced to a over-crowed refugee camp in East Wood which would from time to time stir up trouble in the reigon and was then gifted a local garrassion of government forces to keep constant watch over it. However, the soldiers themselves were already questioning the government, kept only in line by their commander, Koroleth, who was said to be even worse than the dictator himself.

As uncontempt grew, a natural leader arose from the masses. This man was Artano Nordiere, a former mayor of a small village mayor who saw the evils of the current state and the sufferings of the poor and believed that communism would provide suitable answers. He inspired many with his passionate speeches, whose words even reached the Koroleth's soldiers. Artano was a natural born leader, heroic and strong, it seemed that he was designated to lead a rebellion. However, he was soon gun down by Koroleth himself while giving on of his rousing speeches who then proceeded to massacre a dozen of his most faithful supporters.

As the crowd panicked, it would be Artano's son, Brair Nordiere who picked up a gun and shot Koroleth dead. With his father dead, the young man decided to pick up the mantle and lead the camp to an uprising. Killing nearly all of the soldiers, the lucky few who where found by Nordiere himself where given a second chance as long as they tore off and burned their military insignias and patches from their uniforms.

Now, freed from the occupational force in the camp, Nordiere formed the Red Orchestra, promising a brighter future of equality for all. The first sign of trouble arrive not a few days after his announcement when a gang of convicts who broke out of a local prison surrounded the camp in an attempt to loot it. Thankfully, Koroleth's second in command (who was no where near as nasty), Gallahorne, fended them off and captured a great deal of them and their leader, Edoric Vallahan.

This event was a wake up call to Brair who realized that he was unlike his father in his strength and sought to form a triumvirate with Captain Gallahorne and the criminal mastermind, Edoric Thatch after he promised to swear allegiance to the Red Orchestra. The three managed to get along surprisingly well, considering that Edoric came to the camp to loot it and Gallahorne was the one who ordered his men to fire at him. One of the major things that dawned on them was the fact that the tent city was getting to crowed which was one reason why Koroleth was sent in the first place, to keep control. Testing their luck, the Red Orchestra has set out on "the Great Migration", hoping to find solace soon in a place to call their own.

Faction Leadership:
Supreme People's Leader, Chairman Brair Nordiere - The current head of Red Orchestra's leading party, the ROCP, his word is final in nearly all cases. He is responsible for the economic side of things and rules with a certain cult of personality around him and the legacy of his father. Increadibly charasmatic, Nordiere often takes time out of his day to personally go out and meet his "comrades", talking with people and playing with children making him very popular. He created the People's Liberty Agreement as a constitution. It doesn't actually bind him to anything and grants him limitless power, but seeing as he's doing a pretty good job at ruling, the people don't care too much.

Commander of the People's Liberation Military and Supreme Justice Cheif, High Minster RS Gallahorne - An old grizzled defector, Gallahorne is basically the high command of the PLM, or the Red Orchestra's military side, Gallahorne is responsible for everything military. He is in charge of recruitment, training, arming and scouting and can often be seen on the front lines when fighting despite his high position. Has a good understanding of law and acts as the head judge of the justice system and also used his knowledge to help write the Liberty Agreement in a way that grants the triumvirate infinite power via loop holes and ambiguous wording.

Spymaster General and People's Advisor, High Minister Edoric Vallahan - A former criminal mastermind, convinced that Nordiere can make the world a better place, he is in charage of whatever Gallahorne and Nordiere aren't. This includes stuff of policies and interations with other factions and more sinful dealings both inside and outside the Red Orchestra. He uses his criminal contacts to get smuggled goods and information and has his gang act as agents or have them cook up drugs to sell for money. Is noted to be the most scandalous of the three, going as far as to petition for a brothel.

Faction Eyes:
Holester Sysantine - Defector and devoted commander of the 3rd Army, he's the most often in the front lines. Faithfully loyal while still being professional, the only person more militarily formal than him is High Minster Gallahorne himself.
Maria Jejune - Zealous worker for the the ROCP "office" who holds the Triumvirate to a god-like status, she's... interesting by all accounts. And unfortunately, her co-workers and comrades had to put up with her.
Emesco Wraught - An industrial worker who works creating new equipment, he doesn't find the Red Orchestra to be god-like, but respects its abilities to turn people's lives around as it did with his and his family's.
Brian Braun - Another defector, he has a very cynical view of things and questions not only the Red Orechstra's ability to do change, but all the other faction's abilities too. Best keep this guy out of diplomatic talks.
Sarah Lilian - A soldier in the PLM who also is an agent for the ROCP. Despite being grizzled by years of street violence and gang wars, she remains to have a pleasant and optimistic outlook on life. She also has to deal with the lack of discipline from her comrades as well.

Grijs: Contact me via PM for the details, but your sheet is pretty good.

ClocktowerEchos: Woah there budy, I like the format, but that's way too much people and equipment for the start, plus, you certainly won't control an entire settlement... and a train?!

No, you, my friend, will have to loot your arsenals first and capture a shipyard before you can say you have them, I'd be ok with you maybe having some soldiers just because most of the civilians who had to suffer at the hand of the army would probably be unhappy about it, so be sure the government (me) would exploit the shit out of that to ruin your life. Otherwise very good format and a detailed one, I like it.

Oops... sorry >///<

I changed some stuff in it and now the Red Orchestra is in horde mode until they capture said shipyard.

Also, will there be troops at the shipyards? I expect some to be at the arsenal which is why I increased the amount of gangsters and soldiers since a fair few will probably die in the conquest attempts.
