Well, I mean, I choose Shieldbreaker?

Shieldbreaker is unique among the Swords, in that it can easily destroy any of the others in melee combat (with the exception of Woundhealer). In addition, any abilities possessed by the other Swords are negated by Shieldbreaker. While being used, Shieldbreaker emits a thudding rhythm that quickens when combat begins.

Good game, thanks for playing?

Never heard of the "Book of Swords" series, worth the read @Dawnscroll?

Either the Wayfinder or the Woundhealer. Least detrimental, and consistently voted least likely to get me into trouble and most likely to get me out of it.

Of course @Tuujaimaa would choose the most powerful of the swords.

Stonecutter and then I would only fight within stone structures or near stone. I'd also master the art of the sword (sword combat, basically).

I would be quite feared/respected for my cleverness and fighting prowess.

Mindsword. Everyone not wielding the Shieldbreaker will bow down to me and devote their life to me.

Meh. Doomslayer is my bitch. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Except Shieldbreaker counters you and some of the other swords are capable of countering Mindslayers effects somewhat.

Oh and if anyone leaves your field of influence, they're not going to be happy you mind controlled them. Lastly, it's not stated as to whether Doomslayer can reverse the effects on the wielder, but it probably can.

Depends. Only a few swords can hamper it. A small few. Shieldbreaker counters everything cause it's broken.

Hey man. if it don't say it then Doomslayer is mine. Besides why would I let you leave? I'd just kill you.

And if you try to poke holes in my sword, I'll just use Farslayer. SHIELDBREAKER IS THE ONLY COUNTER LISTED! Woundheal..kinda..takes the hit.

The idea of this game is you only get one sword, Taka. Soooo, you can't just go using a sword you don't have lol.

To be fair, Shield breaker as its fall backs room Doomslayer was only destroyed because of the circumstances at that moment, and Shield breaker must actually strike the Sword to destroy it.

And yes, pick only one sword.

See, I just wanted to live my life in peace and harmony and only ever come into the picture when some really awful stuff happened. I'm happy to just live on the sidelines until the fight comes to me!

If I wanted to /win/ I'd have just picked something like Shieldbreaker.

So, this is in no way going to get done before my CS, but I commissioned an artist to draw my character as well as her weapons! :D

Man is it a nice feeling to have only one part of the CS done--even if that one part is giving me an exorbitantly difficult and irritating time. Just gotta finish off that mythology with the other two...maybe write in some of his origin--probably not--and then make sure we're all done so we can post 'em up ^_^

Do we think the title "Herald of Quietus" is too over the top? Part of me thinks it's too much, then the other part loves it and thinks it's fitting for legends to be ridiculously over the top.

Collab progressing, but I've been stuck learning far too much about ovulation...so yeah.

Just remember that the coolest version of death was always Gaiman's take that skipped all the silly "emo-ness" which plagues most versions of death in fiction.

Yeah, a lot of it can get very edgy and very... "emo" - but I think that part of the appeal and beauty of the mythological legend is that you do get to embrace all of that in something that feels very Tolkien-esque and have it make sense.

True dat, but you also get to reinterpret things, which is something I think Gaiman does really well.

I mean, standard death is quite droll, all "blood, death, suffering, spooky!!!" and then you have Gaiman's death that works with the general mythology of death but adds a bunch of really fun, nifty spins on what death means and how the deity of death operates.

My sort of vision is that Dormeria is like the "Robin Hood" of death - life is very precious and fleeting, and she takes it from those who misappropriate it or waste their potential and gives life to those who have potential. A very reverent sort of approach to life and death, I think?

PERSONALLY, I PREFER A DEATH THAT SPEAKS LIKE THIS. ITS FAR MORE INTERESTING.
