Here's the stand I'll take.

After the Sturmkirks, Volkimir's family, become vampires, the lands which they owned became a barbaric monstrosity, filled with all manner of craziness and shadow. Over time, the Stormlands become known as the Shadowlands. In the centuries preceding the events of the roleplay, the various states of Ansus unite to form the United Kingdoms of Ansus, which eventually rise against the Shadowlands and destroy its influence in the Horror Wars. All this occurs in the 2000 years before the events of the roleplay. The United Kingdoms of Ansus change their name to simply Ansus, with the longer name 'Federation of Ansus.' This happens after the lives of Crow, Ki'ira, Jacaerys, and Altim, who live in an era when piracy is dying and countries start to unify, much like Cynderia.

Before that, a cataclysmic war happens around 29000 PA and ends around 30000 PA. This war is called the Great Hundred Years War, and it is a war waged initially between 5 or 6 separate empires. Unrest after the war leads to balkanization, and the countries are thus split into anywhere from 30 to 100 warring, sometimes feudal states, with surrounding minor kingdoms and provinces. Daen lives towards the end of the Great Hundred Years War. Balor lives before the conflict.

Clarent, Jaralia, and Zhan's lives all precede the Horror Wars, and these three characters may not have anything immediate to do with each other. But they probably had some effect on history relevant to the time periods they lived in.

The rest lived in the time period before the Great Hundred Years war, and they lived closer in proximity to each other. We could probably write a history relevant to and connecting them too.

Is everyone game?

@Dead Cruiser No offense, but I was asking our GM, Raven. I'm very busy, my finals are coming up this week and next, I won't have much time to be around, so any time I can save by recycling old stuff is time I can spend on writing new posts.

@ravenDivinity so the question stands, I could make some adjustments to the post, change some important details, but could I recyle a lot of the old material into a new initial post.

Wasn't a command, merely a suggestion.

I like to think Mark's time was when most of the core area of the map were decided. Maybe not the nation, but in that time people firmly decided their homeland and wanted to hang onto it no matter the nation in charge.

Also the poor peasants. "Mark harrir the great folk hero has returned!"

Mark: "Huh what? oh uh yeah sure... can I have an ale? And a cow, medium rare please."

He is a hero sure, but he's not that wise old sage/santa claus that the myths make him.

EDIT: Also I just realized all the Wingman puns I can make! :O

@Dextkiller: You can literally just copy-paste your original initial post if you want. Every post thereafter, it'll gradually get harder to try and repurpose old material to the point where you'll be writing completely new stuff, which will help you through until you're not as busy.

@Guilty Spark:

Daen lives towards the end of the Great Hundred Years War. Balor lives before the conflict.

That's about it. Nobody else occupies the time periods that are close to the war.

@ravenDivinity I'd like to pop in before my lecture and just put in that the Federation found out about Luther's Seven Vows of Peace and kinda adapted it to use in the federation to make peace within the new government. It makes my character relevant in some, although, minor way.

@ravenDivinity Honestly, where I got to is all just him waking up and heading out across the frozen sea (granted the freezing of the world is still a thing that has happened?) I only ever made 3 posts, and that was just him heading off toward general Ansus considering he was off the southern coast on an island.

@Torack: Yeah, perhaps some of the philosophy behind the Seven Vows and Altim's Wisdom will contribute to the Federation's system of government, comparable the influence of Enlightenment thought on the US Constitution and on governments after the American Revolution.

@Dextkiller: That works then. After he crosses the frozen sea, he'll probably run into someone.

@ravenDivinity Are we clear to post whenever we're ready? I'm combining all the 3 initial posts into one at the moment.

@Dextkiller: Yes, everyone has the all-clear from me.

Edit: It also came to my attention that we don't have a patron god for a lot of concepts. Perhaps we could have patron gods for the classical elements for Zhan's sake, a god(dess) of nature for Markiel, etc.?

I'm planning to resurrect near the Heartlands, so if anyone else is around that sorta area let me know and we can work something out!

I don't /really/ want to resurrect with the rest of the Triumvirate because that would be both too textbook and result in Dormeria getting her ass kicked for betraying the others and saving the world. :D

If nobody else is nearby, I'll just figure something out when I get back from work.

@Tuujaimaa If by the Heartlands you mean the luscious green area south of the mountains then Balor will be resurrecting on a small island south of those heartlands. It's not exactly close, but he might be the first to interact with her.

I took the liberty of starting with the POV of an NPC that I now decided will be kinda important to my character for the first portion of introducing my character. Wanted to spice things up a bit, innit!

In the picture below, outlined in red are what Tuuj, Celaira, and me refer to as "The Heartlands".

Sorry for the sloppy work.
