The sudden eruption of anger coming from the elder vampire caused Velia to clap her hands in a gleeful manner. She knew that it would be a good idea to come this way. Staring up at the fairy, her eyes narrowed for a second, calculating. After a second of glaring at the being, she let out a laugh similar to that of ringing bells.

"I've always wanted to taste fairy blood." She exclaimed, reaching up as if she could pluck the winged creature from the sky. She could probably have jumped up and grabbed it if she had to, but instead remained dancing around dizzily on the ground and following its movements. The clink of bottles being rummaged drew Velia's attention once more to Caezel. He seemed to be looking for something, probably one of his fancy potions. It was when she was watching him that something peculiar came to mind.

Why was she here in the first place? Why was he? Sniffing once, a scent so pure, so filled with goodness reached her. She scrunched up her nose and gagged, "What on earth is that smell?!" She demanded, stomping her foot in a child-like manner. "It reeks of light!" She turned around and around, trying to locate the source of the scent.

Uriel had finally wanted to stop. It was nearing his time to train soldiers but everything inside the forest was just wrong. First, a mysterious hooded figure that he was currently trying to find, then a small voice which could no doubt belong to a fairy, and then there's the case of the burning decaying bush. Everything was in disarray and the general couldn't just make sense of where these people were. He stopped moving and then began to survey the surroundings.

He closed his eyes and focused on his hearing. Footsteps, coming from another way. Two more people were present, no doubt their resident vampires who were usually here. Then the fairy. He sighed and then continued walking to the direction of where the figure first ran. He didn't care anymore about the others that are possibly present. This could have all been avoided if that figure, who was now an undeniable Child of Light, stopped.

He was nearing Octavia's position but he didn't exactly know that. He stopped, a few meters from the angel's hiding place, because he had heard something odd. Quick and light footsteps. And then he saw it, Lucius. The general could easily make him out as the human mage who had fought in many battles.

"To enter without an army is foolish human." He then unsheathed his sword and pointed it at him. "Perhaps a valid explanation would save your life." True, Uriel saw this human as an enemy and would likely want to cut him down right here and now. But perhaps if he is not attacking and is here because he got lost into the other border or is here to pick up a lost kid, then it would break his morals to cripple him and send him to some random vampire as food. Admittedly, this went against his loyalty but his morals stand high above it.

Lucius stopped dead in his tracks at the voice of the General, this demon could quiet literally kill him with one blow but he hesitated to do so. The real question was, what was Lucius going to do about it because the demon made a point, it was foolish to come in here alone. As he thought he became aware of the fairy the darted among the dead branches. What in the hell was a fairy doing here? It didn't matter, Lucius needed to speak and then, an idea came to mind.

"Oh great demon," he paused, getting down on one knee. It was a fact he hated but it needed to work. "I am looking for someone dear to me, I fear that they have fled into this... place, to get a better look at it. Stories can only go so far I'm afraid!"

Now for the tricky part, he raised his voice, hoping to project it so that a certain angel could hear him. "Yes! As a matter of fact, I was really hoping that the person I was looking for would actually have made their way back to our home, while it was relatively safe and free of getting distracted!" This was so embarrassing he thought. It was a long shot, Lucuius didn't even know if she was around here but he tried nonetheless.

"I really hope that they just run back to the border, if they are still here! That would make this so much better for both sides, if my dear would just run home now." He stopped shouting, hopefully it would have the intended effect.

"Anyways, with your express permission General, I would like to conduct a short search of the area, in hopes that I can find my dear beloved before it is too late. I can not bear the thought of loosing someone so close to me, after all I have been through. Perhaps you can sympathize with me?" he said, pretending to be sad.

Caezel found the potion he was looking for. In truth, he should have brought it out much earlier - but he didn't expect things to go nearly the way they did. He would take it now.

He took the cap off the small bottle he brought out and drank the contents in one gulp, immediately noticing the effects. Mainly, his arm dropping down after preparing to throw it at the fairy. That's one of my good bottles...

Everything was wrong, he saw that more clearly now. A fairy following an angel that ran out in the forest. Said fairy moving back in the direction of the Border. Oh yes, it was clear. A trap.

Caezel didn't like the idea of letting a fairy go in any circumstance, but he would rather not die to a hundred elven blades. Death was all that awaited; the whole situation was a trap.

The best he could do was try and get the angel, and leave before a true battle erupted. And Caezel knew there were beings on both sides that were at least curious about him, in bad ways.

He stared at the retreating fairy, anger simmering but not excessively so. Cunning bastards, the lot of you. You won't have me today. The scents of an angel, demon, vampire, fairy and magic-attuned human were all too clear.

He went towards the scent of the angel fishing for something else in his pocket. He found it and counted himself lucky - the bottle, only half full, was the last he had in supply of the stuff.

He threw the bottle at the fairy, but differently - towards the ground in front of it, with a very deliberate move. The impact would cause it to explode in tall flames, hopefully serving to keep the fairy away for the moment while he left to find the angel. Of course, there was the side effect of attracting every demon and other being in the area to the spot - but there was nothing he could do about that anymore. Humans and fairy scents would be far superior to an old vampire. He had thrown the bottle without much consideration for Velia - if she was smart she would follow him, as the fire, while it wouldn't last long, would certainly get her considering the speed and height that it was designed to spread.

Octavia heard the voices of 2 men nearby, one terrifyingly familiar; the voice of the soldier that she had encountered earlier, and the other was new. She heard the unfamiliar voice turn to a yell and she couldn't help but giggle slightly at how ridiculous he sounded. However, she understood the message he was implying. He wanted her to run while she had the chance. Only except for one thing; Octavia had no intention of running. This man, as well as the taunting faerie and elf (though she didn't know it yet), had risked their lives to help her. Octavia was determined to return the favor.

Octavia, ever so slightly, peeked out from her hiding place and looked around to see who was present. A human, a moth faerie, 2 vampires, a demon, and an elf not too far away from their location. Octavia took a deep breath and stepped out of her hiding place, spread out her wings and jumped down from the tree, flapping her wings a few times, landing softly behind the man, who told her to run. She stepped directly in front of him, only a few feet away, and removed her hood to finally reveal her face. She had a stern, fearless look in her eyes, frost crawled up her cheeks and across one of her eyes, yet the cold did not seem to faze her. A heavy trail of steam escaped her lips between exasperated breathes. Though it did not show on the outside, on the inside her weak heart was racing and her mind was a nervous wreck; she was terrified.

Octavia spread out her arms and wings, acting as a shield, protecting the human male. "Please don't harm him. I was the first to cross the border. I'm the one you seek, correct? The only reason why the other light children crossed the border was so they could make me return home. I apologise on their behalf and ask for you to please pardon them." She said, her voice cool and calm. She then made a gesture to the soldier to wait for a moment with one hand and she rumaged through her satchel with the other. After a few moments, she pulled out a dagger and held it out towards the soldier in a non threatening manner. "When you found me at the border, you asked who I was. I have that answer for you. My name is Octavia, daughter of the king of light and the sole heir to the kingdom of light. I have no hostile intentions to the kingdom of darkness or her people. Nor am I a spy, my dagger should be proof of that. I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding. I crossed the border out of mere curiosity and intrigue of this kingdoms diversity in culture in comparison from my own. So I shall ask you once more. Please pardon the children of light who trespassed through here. Or perhaps... You'd like to worsen the effects of war?" Octavia's words were not bot meant to be taken as a threat, rather, as a warning. She did not want to worsen the relations between the two worlds and she hoped that the soldier would see that.

Thalia Roven

It wasn't long before Thalia lost sight of the angel running through the forest. She immediately disappeared, like a terrified prey, and before Thalia couuld even realise it, she was gone. It was probably for the best too, as the forest slowly grew louder with more and more sounds. There are more people here, whether good or bad, I can't tell. It was then she tried re-evaluating her life choices.

One: follow after Little Miss Explorer and possibly be killed for simply existing on the wrong side.

Two: find the pesky angel, but be killed for swiping other creatures' prey.

Yeah, none of them really sounded too good. Thalia may like helping people out, but there was no way in hell was she risking her ears for this. Readjusting her grip on her bow, one arrow pinched between her fingers, Thalia looked around her surroundings. She had come running after the girl, without realising that she hadn't been focusing on the direction.

Fucking great, lost in the woods. Cursing her luck, the Elf sighed. Thalia picked up a leaf fallen beside her, evaluating it carefully before letting the breeze blow it away from her open palm. Her eyes watched critically as the leaf blew to the right, and with another sigh, Thalia followed.

It wasn't long before Thalia was approaching closer and closer to sound. It was muffled, but something. Heart racing, she tightened her grip on her bow before peeking past the tree she was hiding behind.

What she saw made her raise an eyebrow. The angel she had followed - and lost - had her wings and arms spread, covering something protectively as she spoke to the soldier. As if the soldier will see things like that. Thalia shook her head, her blonde hair flowing with every movement. Thalia took one step closer, to be able to see the spectators clearly but her boots crushed some old leaves instead, alerting anyone nearby.

Well... shit.

Thalia decided it was best just to reveal herself. No point hiding when people were already aware of your presence? Keeping her bow ready, she stepped past the tree, arrow still pointing down so that she wasn't giving anyone any ideas. "Seems like a party over here." She couldn't help but comment, to no one in particular.

Once her customer is taken care of and they had negotiated a price (He was to fetch her fresh cat’s claw from his side of the forest for the next couple of weeks...and as many newts as he could get his little hands on.) Naya washes the blood off her hands and dries them on her apron. As she is cleaning off the table and ritual site, the sound of muted music trickles into shop. “What…?” she murmurs, eyebrows knitting together as she goes to the window, shifting the curtain to better examine the situation.

...There was an angel in the square. An actual, real life, goddamn angel in the square.

Naya had only ever seen a handful before and with good reason. While there weren’t any laws prohibiting certain races from entering Minora, it was common knowledge that the children of light were looked down on as lesser beings by most of the town folk. Curiosity wins out and the witch pulls on her gloves and heavy wool coat, winding a dark scarf around her neck before heading out into the cold, being sure to lock the door behind her, even though it wasn't really necessary. The shop was weighed down with no less than half a dozen warding and protection spells. It could hold it's own against most intruders.

The angel continues his song, either oblivious or heedless of the dark looks that he’s getting from all manner of creatures. There is group of children giggling and swaying around him, also naive to what a peculiar sight they make. Honestly, the kids were probably the only reason a street brawl hadn’t started up yet.

There is also a creature in a lovely set of armor behind them, but Naya can’t make out their features through the helmet.

“Excuse me, bird beast,” Naya starts when the child of light finishes his song. The witch muscles her way through the crowd and stands closer than what is considered polite, appraising the angel. God, he was so clean looking, it was almost hateful. Her hand snaps forward and she runs it over the tip of his wing, marveling at the soft, downy texture. “What price would I have to pay for ten of these feathers?”

In reality the human wanted a whole wing, but he would probably make a scene if she asked for that. Oh, but she could make so many potions and Caezel would be so jealous. Were angel bones hollow like birds, or were they just like humans? Was their magic in their blood like hers, or did they draw it from a different source? So many questions. Maybe she’d visit a battlefield soon and pilfer a fresh angel cadaver. Wouldn’t it be enchanting, to dissect one and find out what made them tick?

But for the most part she tried not to harm the living (well, animals and werewolves excluded...), so she settled on tugging insistently on his wing, firm but not hard enough to cause much discomfort. “Well?” she asked impatiently, her dark green eyes meeting his much brighter ones.

Angelo simply smiled as he got death stares from the crowd he simply looked at the children that were loving his songs. Once the song was done Angelo looked up to see a human going over to him gently touching his feathers and Angelo thought she was bring nice despite the tugging on his wing. He gently took her hand away then he plucked 6 feathers 3 from each side gently placing them in her hand free young lady but I can't give more then that. Your the only person who has looked at me without the intent to kill and your a lovely young lady. If you wish to know more simply ask me. I'm usually at the border my name is Angelo he said smiling turning to the rest of the crowd ladies and gentlemen I am no threat to any of you. I am a simple musician I only wish to share my music with both sides of the border. If anyone has any music request please don't hesitate to. If nobody does then I simply play songs for the little ones Angelo said and the kids cheered at that living the idea of having music played just for them. I then ignore everyone else including the girl I gave my feathers to and I started to play a happier tune one meant for people to dance to with joy

Alistar watched as a brunette witch exited the building behind the angel. A grown witch, going up to a angel? Is he in danger? Being careful as to not cause any more attention to himself, Alistar pushed towards the two using the brim of the courtyard. Silent as the wind, as swift as the stream. The air of the town was mixed with joy and disdain, both towards the blue eyed child of light. The apothecary touched the man's wing, with a gleam in her eye, from curiosity? before speaking to him. Inching closer he barely made out the Angel's name. Angelo, huh? The named rolled of Alistar's lip like the thickest poison on the dark-side causing him to shiver with delight. Sure Angelo wasn't his type but, Alistar knew when to give props where they are due. Plopping down only inches away from the angel and the witch, he listened on to the tune setting his helmet in his lap.

Uriel listened to the human before saying, "You speak too much, human. Perhaps you should avoid blabbering too much." The demon suggested before lowering his sword. He then sighed for the umpteenth time. His code of morals versus his loyalty to the king. This human was lucky that he valued the former more than the latter.

But instead of heeding Lucius's advice, the angel flew down beside the human. Under his helmet, his eyes widened as he saw the angel descend, something in his heart snapped as he saw her. His hand shook, wanting to stab the angel right through her heart and kill her. But when she lowered her hood, his hand eased. No, this was not the angel who had first killed his mother than faithful day and so he did not need to exact revenge on her.

"I truly admire your fearlessness and attitude, angel. Only a few would point a dagger towards someone who is more fully armed." He said before sheathing his sword and then easing up. "Young princess." He started. He knew that it was better if he would, perhaps, take the angel and take her to the King of Darkness. But her sincerity has been admirable so he decided against it. "I suggest that you do not repeat this same mistake. Only a few people would let you go like I did and it would cause further conflict which you seem to hate."

"However, your sincerity is true and I shall let you go back to your side of the border and I shall not speak of this to our king." He said before standing still and it seemed he would follow them. He had to make sure that they would leave their kingdom without anyone else seeing. It was time for this princess and this human to go back to their kingdom. And hopefully the fairy would follow.

But in all honesty, that huge fire over there was quite worrying considering that it could burn down the whole forest. He turned to the two Children of Light. "Do you think I can ask you the favor of putting out the fire before leaving in exchange for me letting you go?"

Rida was surprised when the fire spouted out in front of her. She lost track of the vampires after this. Though she had noticed that the angel had left at this point. "Atleast she isn't as stupid as she looks." Rida said before hold up a hand to the fire. As she did this a swirl of water magic started to float above the fire as if it were not affected by gravity. She then let the fire fall to the ground and put out the fire. After she finished she turned towards the human and angel.

Rida had heard that the angel said she was a princess, though she was extremely lucky that this demon didn't take advantage of this. Having a princess as a hostage would make any king bow his head. Rida flew towards the princess and landed on her shoulder. "Next time you come out here, atleast bring someone else with you. Your lucky your aren't dead." Rida said as she sat on the angels shoulder. "Thanks Mr. General! I'm sure we can start keeping this one in line!" Rida said with a smile and a wave.

Well his little ruse seemed to fool the demon at least but did the angel hear him? That was the only question that came to his mind, he did not even care if his own life was in danger.

Lucius relaxed a little bit before jumping back in surprise at the sight of the person who walked in front of him, he had not even heard her approach. It was definitely the angel, those wings were a dead give away and as she pulled back her hood, he walked to her side to get a better look and oh boy was she a looker. What was even more surprising was when she raised her arms and wings out in a gesture of protection, so Lucius fell back behind her but was tall enough to see what was going on. This act did not go unnoticed to Lucius, he was deeply touched at the generosity the angel showed.

As she spoke Lucius simply watched, scanning the area for any other creatures that could disrupt the meeting but none came, at least not yet. He had raised his weapon ever so slightly when the demon had done the same, but quickly let it drop as the General did the same. So Octavia was her name, it was a nice name but Lucius had his thoughts on something else. There had to be another reason why she came here, there was more to this story and he would find out.

Next thing to happen was the elf, that had previously followed Octavia in the forest, finally appeared. Good, now if they could overpower the demon if need be. Something told him that would not be necessary, for as the demon spoke he felt that the creature was being very much sincere, a trait lost among most other demonic entities.

To answer the demons question Lucius simply said, "Don't know how that happened but water... it frightens me. I can't do it."

The fairy that arrived next was another good omen to Lucius, now they had more then enough to escort the princess back to the border. Though he held no animosity towards the fairy-kind, he did find them annoying at times but that was besides the point. There was safety in numbers, especially in this dark land and for that Lucius was grateful.

Octavia relaxed slightly, she lowered her wings and her gaze softened. "Thank you for your mercy. I shall be more careful in the future. You have my word." She replied softly with a warm and gentle voice, wearing a smile that matched it. She folded up her wings once more and sighed deeply, a steady trail of steam escaped from her lips. She could still hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears and, though the threat had seemingly passed, her small, thin frame trembled with a lingering fear.

Octavia's attention shifted from the soldier to the fire, musing slightly at the soldier's deal. "Of course. I believe that is more than a fair deal in exchange for your generosity. " She replied with a nod in agreement. She extended an arm towards the fire, then her eyes briefly glowed a bright white, then faded back to normal and with it, the fire was put out. It was a simple fire spell and, what's better, it didn't put too much time a strain on her body.

Octavia glanced at the faerie and giggled at the faerie's remark. " Keep me in line you say? I'd like to see you try, small one. Worry not, though, I will behave." She said then turned back to the human male and grinned. "Thank you for protecting me. I am truly grateful for your service and willingness to risk your life to help me. I intend on returning that favor to you all one day... Until then I believe that it is time for us children of light to leave. It seems we have over stayed our welcome. " With that said, she turned to the demon soldier and gave a slight bow, out of respect and gratitude, then started to head back to the border.

Caezel had finally managed to disengage himself from the situation entirely, and felt reasonably sure he was out of prying eyes even as he watched the would-be confrontation.

Except there was no confrontation.

He was far away from them, yet he could make out the words distinctly. They shocked him. A demon general, passing up the greatest opportunity on the spot. Although that wasn't what surprised him - in fact, taking that opportunity could have the effect of cutting the war short - but it was that they were so nice to each other. Demons with angels. Caezel felt sick. He was an early advocate before... things happened of eliminating the Light. Demons used to have the guts to do what needed to be done, and he had sufficient material to create potions on the rare side and conduct his experiments. Not anymore. An angel crossed the border freely and would get away without more than a slap on the wrist. And he would have nothing. A damn fairy, a human, and an angel would all walk away after trespassing on territory they didn't even have close to a right to, all because demons were getting soft and lazy and incapable of doing what was necessary. And without any fresh angelic material, his latest experiment would fail. A very costly failure, given his age.

He would have stormed out and dealt with them himself had he been younger. But the kicker was there was nothing he could do against those numbers, not to mention a demon who he doubted would take the correct side of any such conflict.

Growling, he turned and walked back in the direction of his home, taking the long way. There was nothing he could do. He would go home without anything to show for it. And he didn't spot a single mushroom that he had come out for in the first place.

He could only hope that town would keep some semblence of sanity.

Lillian-Rose's eyelids flew open as she sat up in her wooden chair, a bow just starting to take shape sat on the desk in front of her where she had uncomfortably rested her head. She wasn't asleep, of course not, certainly not, not in the hotel room close to the king's castle. Oh gosh, she was asleep. She blinks rapidly multiple times in a successful attempt to awake properly. She had been lacking very often of late with the war raging on around the light side order after order came in and Lilly was always swamped with work. She decided it fitting to take the bulk of the work instead of placing it on the shoulders of her father's friend or her father's apprentice... no, her apprentice. She had to remember that. With each day can a stronger yearn for her father. His kind smile, his humbleness, the jolly tune he'd whistle will creating weapons even through the war. She missed him dearly but now she had his business, his legacy, now hers. Despite her mother's constant plea for Lillian-Rose to sleep, take a day off, she did anything but. She ran her ... eyes over the half-finished bow in front of her, a simple design. The man, of elf blood, requested a bow of a very simple design with the names of his family, killed in the war, carved into it. Lillian gave a yawn, stretching her arms. She needed a breather from the stuffy workshop. That was when she remembered where she was. Not home, not the place of sleepful nights. Not her village but where the king called home. Lillian-Rose bit her bottom lip looking eyeing crates in the corner of the room, full of daggers, swords, bow and arrows and weaponry of many other makes ready to be taken to the soldiers later that day, when the sun revealed itself. She needed a breather from the small stuffy hotel room.

The door did not give a slight screech as Lillian-Rose nudged it open unlike the door of her workshop. A gentle breeze blew through the trees, playing with thinner parts of Lilly's brown hair. Lillian-Rose peered outside, yet to remove herself from the doorway. She took in a long deep breath before slowly walking outside. At this time of night the her village seemed to sleep, the only light source flooding from the open doorway of Lilly's workshop. The city was quiet, asleep but it seemed to linger an unfamiliar lively buzz in the night air. She tugged at her short sleeve black top with a sigh before slowly turni g to shuffle back into the isolation of her hotel, that was when something caught her eye. It was a figure dropping from the balcony of the castle. It dropped closer and closer and closer to the ground. Lillian-Rose gasped slightly and ran back inside. She grabbed her white woollen coat and wrapped it around herself before running toward the king's castle, to the falling figure. Her healing skills were not top notch and the figure was probably as good as dead but thought it be unfair to not even try.

The closer she came to the castle the more obvious the fact the figure was not there. Perhaps it was a trick of her mind? Maybe it was an angel, Lilly doubted that, there aren't many angels left. That was when she looked up to see the shadow if a winged figure flying through the cloud. His or her silhouette revealed by the light of the milky moon and Lillian-Rose's sharpened senses. Lilly followed her out of something that didn't usually tug at her as deeply as it did now- curiosity. The figure soon fly far enough to now longer be in the young elf's view but guessing where the figure was going Lillian continued on. In the distance was a small group. Soldiers? Rebels? Or just plain stupid Lilliy didn't know but she, too, was out at such a time so so couldn't really talk. That was when it hit her like a hammer. A small collection of frost clung to the young elf's coat. Of course the light side had cool days and snow days but not like this. Bitter nipping cold seemed to tease the young elf now.

As Lillian-Rose edged closer she could see, from the hand of a silhouette, was clearly a sword. Well to after endless hours making and forging would know she backed up slowly before turning an running toward where she thought the border was. She won't be part of the start of another battle. She couldn't be. However, whether it came from taking a wrong turn or another means, she could not find the border. She was lost and did not wield her prize bow. She had no idea where to go. Her village were simple people, intellectual enough yet knew very little of the dark parts. Soon enough the group she saw earlier came into view from a closer vantage point. Lillian-Rose proceeded to admit something to herself, she was scared.

Naya blinks, dumbstruck as the angel tucks six of his own feathers into her hand. ’That’s it?’ she thinks as he tells her how he doesn't want anything in exchange and that his name is Angelo. He even says she is lovely, which only serves to make her more suspicious. She was no angel or vampire, nor was she one of the fae folk, so her features were pretty run of the mill. Sure, she looked fine enough for a human but compared to the more ethereal creatures of this world she was about as lovely as a potato sack.

“Tcht,” Naya clicks her tongue, opening her coat to safely store the feathers in the breast pocket of her apron. “Thank you, Angelo, I’ll put them to good use. But I can not take them for nothing. I don’t much like to be owing anyone a debt,” she explains, pausing as he brought the instrument back to his lips and continued to play for the little ones. The armored man from earlier was sitting next to them, his helmet removed, revealing dark skin and a ruggedly cut jaw line. The witch couldn’t be certain what sort of creature he was, but whatever it was put her on edge, so she assumed he must be one of the races that made their meals out of humans.

As long as he wasn’t a werewolf, Naya figured they’d be fine.

“Here,” Naya murmured, digging through her coat pockets and pulling out a small envelope of dried herbs, reaching forward and brazenly tucking it into the angel’s belt, not giving him a chance to decline. “Pour that in hot water and let it steep, then strain. It will help your body mend quicker once you’re on your side of the border,” the brunette instructs. “Be sure to drink the whole thing or it won’t have much of an effect.”

She had quite a few questions for him, like if plucking feathers hurt or how quickly they could regrow, but Angelo seemed determined to play his instrument so she decided it was best not to pester him too much right now. Maybe if she was nice enough he’d let her examine him sometime, maybe even let her have some of his blood...

She only had two spells that called for angel blood in her grimoire, both written in her mother’s elegant script. Naya had never witnessed them before, but it would be exciting to try them.

“That’s my shop,” she continues after a moment, jerking her chin towards, ’Ashgrave Aromatics,’. “If you’re ever in need of something or a place to rest for a bit, stop by, yeah?” She paused, realizing she's never introduced herself. "I'm Naya, best alchemist in town."

Caezel might argue that last bit, but she sort of liked to mess with him a little.

Angelo smiled as he played for the happy children in front of him and that the girl was slowly accepting him even if only a little by giving him some medicine that would help with recovering his strength once he was back to his side of the boarder. She then explained that she owned the shop in front of them called "Ashgrave Aromatics" she seemed to be an alchemist considering the name of her shop which made her interest in Angelo's feathers more understandable. Once Angelo finish his song he smiled at her I will be sure to drop by soon once I gain my strength back. After all I need to make sure everyone hears my music, if you have any questions you can follow me to the border once I finish playing my set he explained since he was already feeling weaker just being on this side for a few hours so he would need to leave soon if he wanted to come back tomorrow. Then Angelo started to play another playful song for the children loving how they enjoyed his music so even if some of the adults that gathered want to rip him apart if even a few people liked it then he did his job right

THe song Angelo was playing whispered in Alistar's ears as if calling him to sleep. The brick pushing ever so slightly on his armor. The sensation of being watched sent a shiver up his spine, but he refused to acknowledge it. A vampire in a border town was sure to turn heads, especially one that wasn't attacking the villagers.

Why am I still here? Alistar questioned himself, though he already knew the answer. He was taking a liking to both Naya and Angelo. An Angel who wanted nothing more to share his talents and a Alchemist who enjoyed knowledge more than anything. They don't even know my name. They probably thinking i'm here to drink them like ale.

Determination in his eyes', Alistar rose to stand in front of the two people. "Alistar Todd, guard for hire at your service." With an outstretched hand he smiled revealing his fangs.

Re'Mane

@Jangel13@Narcotic Dollie@King Atlas

Crouched in front of Ashgrave Aromatics, Re'Mane materialized. In his left hand was a stick that currently had a small bird's skull hanging on the end of it, just barely hanging onto the blunt end. He couldn't touch the skull directly, but with the stick, he could touch things. And right now he was amusing himself with a bird skull that had rolled out from 'Ashgrave Aromatics'. He wasn't sure how it had ended up outside, but after the witch had hurried out, it must have been underfoot and forgotten.

Child-like was never something he could ever remember being, but that wasn't saying much considering he hardly remembered anything past a certain point. But he was positive he was never allowed to be a child. Or maybe he didn't actually make it out of childhood before he became what he was now? Hm. The question plagued him, but only for a moment before a bit of a laugh escaped him. A very choked sound that sounded much more like someone gagging for breath rather than a laugh. It wasn't really funny to see the skull swish and swoosh as he carefully moved the stick from side to side in time with the music the angel was playing. It wasn't even particularly funny, but he found it endearing in a sense.

The music, if he was being honest, was what probably had him in such a good mood. Such a soothing, warm thing that flooded his non-existent senses and filled his chest with false peace. And really, it was nice to have a small break from the endless restlessness that was engraved into every fiber of his being. Such a playful tune was always-

FWHIP.

"HNGH." A sudden gasping noise escaped Re'Mane as he accidentally gave the stick a slightly too-hard flick, the delicate bird skull flew right off of it and banged against the door of the shop. The skull cracked from the impact and the phantom felt immense amounts of dread fill him over the false warmth from the angels music.

"Oh no." He whispered, quickly shuffling himself forward with the stick, attempting to once again pick up the skull with the end of the stick. But this time, it wasn't going too well. With how it broke, it simply couldn't be picked up as it had been before.

"Oh, come on... go back on." A very small sigh of defeat as he continued to fiddle with the skull with the stick. "Please?" He asked, just staring at the bird skull, like it could actually reply to him or something. It wasn't like this was the first time he appeared at this shop to play with the tiny skulls the witch had, but this was the first time he broke one of them. But it had just gotten kicked out side... it couldn't have been that important anyway, right?

“..follow you to the border?” she parroted back, her lips down turned as she continued to watch Angelo play. “My craft makes your kind a might jumpy, friend,” Naya informs, recalling the last time she had crossed over the border in search of herbs that only blossomed there. She had very nearly been burned at the stake for being a witch and it wasn't an experience she was looking to repeat anytime soon.

Naya would never understand that about the light children. How could you embrace magics like nature, elemental, or healing, but completely disregard blood magic or necromancy? They were two sides of the same coin, yet the people who lived in the sunlight seemed to have disregarded the dark arts completely. How tedious.

The armored creature chooses this moment to introduce himself, baring his teeth in an open mouthed smile. The light comes through just right, bouncing off his fangs menacingly and oh--weren’t they just darling?

“Oh, shiny,” Naya breathed, stepping close to Alistar and rolling up onto her tiptoes so she could have a better look at his fangs. A lot of vampires she met were stingy with their smiles, so the witch rarely got to get a good look at their teeth. “How much longer do you reckon they are than human teeth?” She murmurs to herself, reaching up and prodding them gingerly, careful not to cut herself. Damn, if only she had brought her measuring tape!

FWHIP.

Naya’s head snaps towards her shop, green eyes searching for the source of the clamor. If those wolf pups from up the road were throwing rocks at her windows again she was going to skin them and make their pelts into shoes! Her gaze lands on a vaguely familiar figure, prodding at something on the ground just outside her front door with a stick. “Excuse me,” Naya says politely, which is an odd paradigm shift seeing as how she’s still got her fingers in a stranger’s mouth. “I’ve got a, erm...friend that needs seeing to.”

She makes her way back to the shop, her boots thumping loudly against the brick streets of the town’s courtyard. The brunette stops a couple of feet away from the slightly translucent creature, studying him as he continued to poke at what looked to be one of her bird skulls, his murmurings unintelligible under the sounds of Angelo’s playing.

“Everything alright, specter?” she asks, crouching down to cup the little skull in her hands, thumb grazing over the left half where a chunk of it had broken off. How had this even gotten outside? “Not much use for these old things,” she hums, glancing up to the shadowy space where the phantom’s face should have been. “...but they’re sort of sweet, right? I like to braid them into my hair sometimes,” she admits with a wink.

They’d never really spoken before, but the apparition had appeared in the shop once or twice to look at the skulls. He seemed especially fond of the little ones. Naya didn’t mind, it was actually quite nice to have company sometimes, especially one that appreciated her more macabre trinkets.

Naya untied the laces on one of her boots, pulling the string free and swiftly looping it through the still intact eye socket on the right side of the skull, knotting the ends together securely. “It should be easier for you to pick up now, specter,” she says, standing up and extending her hand, giving the makeshift necklace a little jiggle as she held it towards him. “Why don't you try it now?”
