      • Name: Fio Mal-Rai
      • Age: 23
      • Gender: Female
      • Appearance: "Wanna take your chances with me?"
      • Personality: Fio is a cocky, arrogant young woman with a highly competitive streak and a strong drive to succeed. She ignores anyone telling her that she can't handle something, or that she can't take something on by herself, and judges what she can an can't do by herself rather then relying on the judgement of others. That being said, she is not totally ignorant of the fact that, say, most magi are entirely unable to take on a Servant by themselves. While knowing this limitation irritates her, she is not a fool and will not undertake a challenge she has no chance of winning. And yet, at the same time, she is a fool in the eyes of some, as she will instead try to work herself towards surmounting that obstacle. Even if it is something that most would say is insurmountable. In the eyes of some of her fellow magi at the Clock Tower, this is the behavior of a fool. But a useful fool. Fio has extreme confidence in her ability to take out other magi, and in this case she feels that she has no chance of defeat due to her experience in anti-magus combat. Fio has an aggressive personality and a highly social nature, and she has a high tendency to flirt.
      • Skills: Fio has a surprisingly high amount of training in hand-to-hand combat. Her skills, coupled with her magecraft, potentially allow her to attack Caster-class Servants in close range due to the latter's low amount of melee combat capabilities and low endurance and Fio's skill as an anti-magus fighter. Also, having learned a recipe from a Japanese corespondent, Fio maintains that she cooks a "mean teriyaki chicken".
      • Abilities: Fio's affinity is fire. Her number and quality of magic circuits is mid-range, neither particularly high nor particularly low. Her training in hand-to-hand combat combined with her magecraft gives her a brand of combat that hybridizes the techniques of a magus and the techniques of a fighter. Producing bounded fields and other such things for defensive purposes are a natural portion of her skillset as a magus of the Mal-Rai family, but her specializations allow for a more distinct method of battle then previous members of her family. However, no-one can say that Fio utilizes anything but the methods of practiced magus. Fio utilizes reinforcement combined with single to double action spells to pass prana in the form of flames through her hands and feet. This gives her kicks and punches a fiery, or even explosive quality(though adding the shotgun-like explosive quality requires more focus). Her spells are also aptly used in order to penetrate conventional magical defenses, disrupting barriers and in some cases, with enough set up time, bounded fields. While she is not as deadly as the legendary Magus Killer, she is a dangerous foe utilized by the Clock Tower to hunt down rogue elements who threaten the secrecy of magecraft.
      • Brief Backstory: Fio is the daughter of the Mal-Rai family. Not one of the eldest families, and yet not young enough to earn the scorn of their elders, the Mal-Rai family frequently made use of magecraft that passed prana through their bodies, emitting it as dangerous fireballs or other such hazardous elements. These spells were inherited by Fio when she gained their magic crest, and as she grew she realized the ideal application for such spells was in combination with hand-to-hand combat. She trained in various hand-to-hand techniques throughout her time in high school prior to her trip to London. Her education in the Clock Tower, while dry, was still a wealth of knowledge that she could further apply to her capabilities in order to make herself an efficient close-range magus. Her cocky attitude grew with her age, and many superiors in the Clock Tower at once believed she was a fool and yet that she was a useful fool. For not only had Fio trained herself in hand-to-hand combat, but she was also excelling in disrupting defensive magic. The magecraft that allowed her to do so was a relic of a conflict between the Mal-Rai family and another mage bloodline many years ago. Combined with her combative focus, this lead her naturally to being an anti-magus magus, an individual well-equipped for apprehending, or killing, magi who threatened the secrecy of magecraft. This lead to her employ as an officially sanctioned Magus Hunter. Fio was quite pleased with her position, feeling little more then contempt for those who would expose magecraft and act so haphazardly for their own gain. Her anti-magus capabilities made her a natural choice for the Clock Tower's representative in this new Grail War. After all, who better to defeat enemy Masters then someone specialized in combating them?

      Name: Yumiko Kawajima

      Age: 17

      Gender: Female

      Appearance: Come on, then~!
Standing at a decent 5'7", Yumiko's swapped out her regular shrine maiden-esque garb for more... Contemporary clothes.
Like a T-shirt and jeans, for example. The usual.

Personality: With boundless energy and an eye for the unnatural, Yumiko's not the kind of person to lay low and spy on people. She's quite energetic, often times rushing off to drag whoever it is that has her attention for the moment to wherever it is that she so pleases. She isn't really aggressive as much as she is enthusiastic, and most of the time her actions have little to no undertones of malice. In fact, she's kind of amicable to most people that aren't complete jerks. However, her personal desire for equality has led to a more bitter side of Yumiko to develop, one that knows that the world is flawed and wants to overhaul it as a whole to resolve that issue.

Skills: Given that she has to know how water and light reflect and reflect differently under different circumstances, Yumiko has thus learned every facet of light particle-wave duality and their interaction with other surfaces; her illusions are also incredibly lifelike because of her interest in photography, which also led to her bringing along a camera for the trip over. She's quite a good cook (and she has to be, given how inheritance work and all that) and can back a mean punch for any thugs brave enough to cross her path.

Abilities: As a third-generation magus from a branch family, Yumiko's magic circuits are relatively widespread, but her offensive capabilities are incredibly weak as a whole. In fact, she specializes in using paper charms in order to manipulate both water and light to a great extent. She also has the ability to create barriers that can mitigate impacts strong enough to rend a normal man unconscious- or worse. This is limited by the number of charms she has, however; once her supply runs dry, she's basically a sitting duck. The larger the scale of magecraft, the more charms it requires. She cannot stack spells one on top of the other, but she can layer up to two barriers at once.

Brief Backstory: Yumiko comes from a small branch family of magi who have diverged from the old main branch in terms of style and application; though by the definition of lineage they have not inherited the Magic Crest, they HAVE learned the clan's core teachings, and as such have derived their own form of magic from it. Yumiko herself is a third-generation magus, having inherited her abilities from her mother at a young age and has striven to train them ever since. The branch family, however, has been looked upon as nothing by tools by the main family, which Yumiko had hated ever since she was aware of the fact. When the news of a new Grail War met the family's ears, the main branch immediately got to work setting up their designated heir to win them the coveted wish. She, however, had different plans; convincing her parents to send her off in secret under the guise of studying abroad, Yumiko flew to Redrock in hopes of fixing what she thought was flawed with her family as a whole.

      • Name: Izisviel von Einzbern
      • Age: Around 13. Not that this is a terribly relevant age for a homunculus...
      • Gender: Female
      • Personality: If you wanted to isolate Izisviel's single biggest flaw, it would be vanity--looking like Justeaze is certainly enough basis for holding your appearance to be superior to the dross of humanity, even if it's too perfect and slightly uncanny. However, her pride in her family's achievements and superiority is considerably blunted by pragmatism; no matter how good they are, five failed wars and an unsuccessful attempt to shield the great grail teach that their reliance on trump cards--however great--and superior magecraft needs to be tempered with actual tactics. After all, the closest they came to victory was relying on an outside.
Despite her calm and aloof appearance, Izisviel is actually quite hot-blooded... and being made for fighting makes her almost too eager to test herself and try risky tactics for the thrill. To be in a grail war, to have legendary heroes to measure against... it's a perfect opportunity, especially if she can summon a knight to teach her more.
      • Skills: A homunculus never intended to be left to fend for herself but expected to be embroiled in a conflict far more personally than others of her family, Izisviel has all the day-to-day skills of a particularly developed five year old. She makes up for this by having a working understanding of tactics more subtle than 'throw a Berserker at it' and a somewhat scary amount of skill for what appears to be such a slender girl when it comes to swinging that thing around.
      • Abilities: As expected of an Einzbern homunculus, she's an alchemist. An extremely good one, which comes as no additional surprise to anyone with a half-functioning brain. Naturally, this includes a huge amount of skill in the particular art of... making homunculi, since it's anyone's guess if a single actually-human Einzbern continues to exist. It's also something that she's actually done, since who wants to stay in foreign countries completely on their own?
She is also considerably more physically able than a normal human, with the ability to swing the slab of temple that Berserker used as an axe-sword like it isn't an enormous chunk of masonry and more like it's a normal sabre. You'd think the axe-sword would be the most reinforced thing on her person, but it's actually the coat--she can handle offence well enough on the fly, so her coat's loaded with as many protections as she could squeeze onto the thing. Healing would waste time, after all...
      • Brief Backstory: Originally intended to take part in the Sixth Grail War after substantial amounts of practice to avoid having yet another homunculus brutally killed before the war is even finished, Izisviel found herself instead taking part in the fighting to try and preserve the original Great Grail... unsuccessfully. Given that this involved dismantling the Great Grail and therefore more or less killing her ancestor, Izisviel has rather a lot against the people that did that.
Existing in a listless state for years, as her only purpose and goal in life had rather abruptly been destroyed, Izisviel was extremely, extremely, displeased to hear that someone had recreated the Grail in Redrock... without her family's involvement. If the Grail functions, then they have quite obviously stolen what rightfully belongs to the Einzbern, and it is hr duty to take it back and win the war. If it has failed, then she just needs to shut it down and recover anything that should be dragged back to Germany.
Having arrived with time to spare and her three maids, Izisviel has managed to secure a relatively nice house to stay in. Nowhere near the impressiveness of other properties that she's lived in, but it will do.

      • Name: Erica Stirling
      • Age: 18
      • Gender: Female
      • Appearance: Yes?
      • Personality: Erica is your average stuffy British girl, coming across as cold and arrogant at times. This is mostly the result of her attempting to distance herself from others so as not to let them distract her from her studies. Perhaps her biggest annoyance about coming to America is her inability to find a decent cup of tea.
      • Skills: Reasonably unremarkable, at least to the point of not having any specialist skills.
      • Abilities: Erica has an affinity for the Water element, and as a result her spells largely consist of manipulating it either for offensive use, such as directing it as a weapon, to defensive use, such as the creation of a cyclical bounded field.
      • Brief Backstory: Erica's bloodline is not particularly long or distinguished; she herself is only a third generation Mage. A student of the Clock Tower, she was sent to Redrock to study the confluence of leylines, as well as to act as a caretaker for the region in exchange for future training.
