General Knowledge;

Jet's are a Gem whose name is synonymous with fear and mistrust. They are warriors who serve the diamonds, though not on the same level as a Quartz soldier. Rather than possessing brute strength and size, Jet's are more commonly known for their speed and elusive nature. They are ill fitted for the battlefield, taking on much more delicate tasks such as espionage, information gathering and, in some cases, hunting and shattering high priority Gems.

The very nature of their unsavory duties is off-putting to most Homeworld Gems. Combined with their status as 'organic' Gems (Jet being a mineral formed from ancient trees), Jet's are treated with suspicion and caution everywhere. They tend to be quite antisocial as a result of this, with exceptions.

Gem Location;

Her Gemstone is located on her forehead. Referring to the image, it would be where the eight is.


Physical Description;

Tall and graceful, Jet exudes confidence and finesse in all of her subtle mannerisms as she proudly flourishes her coal skin. While humanoid in appearance, Jet's have a very smooth, alien facial structure. They are perfectly spherical, possessing two white slits for eyes and a pair of full lips that blend seamlessly into her complexion. A top of her head sits a wide brimmed hat which is tilted to one side with the number '8' appearing in a white circle at the front. If she were to pull her hat back slightly, one would clearly see the smoothed gemstone sitting on her forehead.

Her chosen outfit consists of a snazzy pantsuit that glitters in the moonlight like the night sky. She also wears a pair of black, elbow length gloves and matching platform heels. Jet dresses to impress. In her books there is no such thing as 'over-doing it'.

Personality;

Cheerful and proud, Jet is the type of person who refuses to be ignored. She tends to speak with flair and hyperbole, as if performing on stage rather than engaging in small talk. Of coarse, to her there is no such thing as small talk. Nothing is ever small for Jet. Everything she does needs to be blown up to monumental proportions, and she can be quite demanding until it does. Her desire to be at the center of attentions makes her seem quite selfish, which she's not completely innocent of. However it is important to remember that Jet had spent her life in the shadows before leaving the Diamonds and is still getting used to her limits and freedom to express herself.

Despite her positive attitude, there is a sadness in Jet's tone whenever she talks about the past. She's reluctant of discussing it at all, and you can tell that she feels guilty for some of the tasks the Diamonds assigned to her while she worked under them. She's worried of how the other Survivors see her, given the notorious reputation of Gems like her. As such, she tries to over compensate by being as upbeat and friendly as she can. Unfortunately, these attempts can come off as quite forced sometimes and only lead others to be more suspicious of her.

Acquired Skills;

Jet is a smooth talker; quick witted with a tongue as sharp as a blade of grass. She can twist her words in any manner to deceive others. She is also an active listener, able to read between the lines quite easily when others are speaking. This has made her quite adept at detecting when someone is lying, though it isn't always reliable.

She's naturally very nimble and agile, which are further enhanced by her powers.


Gem Abilities;

Jet possesses the very basic abilities of other Gems such as projecting light from her Gemstone, shape shifting and even projecting holographic images.

In addition to these abilities, Jet's are known for their ability to increase their speed and agility beyond the capabilities of other Gems. They aren't heavy hitters, but they more than make up for it with their slipperiness and sharp reflexes.


Summoned Weapon;

Threaded Cane. Jet's summoned weapon has two forms; a rigid bladed longsword perfect for quick slashing and piercing attacks and a long ranged whip. Jet is able to activate the weapon at will, separating the blade of her sword into many, linked together offer her long ranged. sweeping attacks. The weapon is quite stylish, at least in Jet's opinion.

Biography;

When Jet was formed, she was fully aware of her position and role in Gem Society. She undertook her tasks without question, gathering information on planets that had previously been investigated by Turquoise Scouts and identifying any form of intelligent life. At first, Jet did not mind the spying. She didn't see the harm in alerting her Diamond to any possible threats on future colonies. However as the years went by, Jet began to notice the effect Gem Colonisation was having on these worlds. One by one, species went extinct to make room for more Kindergartens and Spires. Of coarse, she would never question the authority of her Diamond. If this was what had to be done, then so be it.

Jet had also begun to notice the prejudice that other Gem's held towards her kind. They called her distrustful, claiming that she would betray the Homeworld in an instance. She didn't know why other Gems had such a low opinion of Jet's, until she was given her first real assignment. The true purpose of Jet's was not merely to be a spy, but to seek and destroy rogue Gem's who thought they could flee the Authority. When Jet shattered her first Gem, she knew that she could no longer serve the Diamonds.

Centuries later, Jet was sent to Earth in order to shatter a few select members of the rebellion. She had heard much of the Crystal Gems; their tales of defiance igniting a spark of hope in her. When she head off for her mission, Jet bowed before the Crystal Gems and offered her service to them. She expected them to laugh in her face; who in their right mind would believe a Jet wanted to join the Crystal Gems? Instead, they welcomed her with open arms.

Jet was finally able to live freely, away from the life of spying and shattering other Gems for the gain of the Diamonds. No longer would she sit idly by and let another world crumble. Earth was her home now, and she fought in the Gem War to protect it. When the Survivors retreated, she went with them. Her fight is not over though, and she is determined to keep the Diamonds away from her new home where she is free to be herself.

SURVIVOR
Name: Hiddenite (Hiddy)

Age: Roughly 670. She kind of lost track during the war, what with trying not to die.

Appearance: A slender gem of only 5', she has an obviously aristocratic figure. Her deep green skin offsets the pale dress and cream coloured hair that cane with her last reformation. Her eyes are a strangely hypnotic light green, the same colour as the teardrop shaped gem that sits proudly on her chest.

Fusions: The only fusion that she will allow herself to be in is that of Spodumene, which she gains when she joins with her partner Kunzite.

Gem Location: Center of her chest, just under the hollow of her collarbones.

Weapon/Power: Hiddy's summonable weapon is a katar, which has a double function of splitting blades in the form of a pair of scissors.

She has a rather interesting gem based ability. Due to her particular type of gem being developed during the Gem Wars to be used as assassins and spies, she has the ability to willingly change and bend the colours reflected off her skin in a form of camouflage.

Romantic/Sexual Orientation: Asexual

Personality: A relatively quiet gem, with a tendency to give as short a reply as possible. This by no way means that she is asocial or even uninterested in making friends. She just prefers to be in the presence of others without being required to speak or do much. She rarely makes jokes, but when she does, it's usually in a sarcastic manner. She prefers to know all the facts of a situation before reacting.

SURVIVOR
Name: Kunzite (Kunnie)

Age: A few weeks younger than Hiddy, making her also near 670 years.

Appearance: A short and rounded gem, with a highly feminine figure. She stands at only 4'8", and wears flashy clothing- that seem to get increasingly flashy with each reform. Her long hair is extremely kinky, and tends to escape the low ponytail she keeps it in. Her eyes are a bright and happy pale magenta, the same colour as her triangular shaped gem.

Fusions: Although she'd be willing to fuse with others, the only fusion she is comfortable in is that of Spodumene.

Gem Location: Directly under her hairline on the back of her neck.

Weapon/Power: Her summonable weapon is a chain whip with a dangling spiked tip. It's length can extend and shorten based on her will.

She has two gem based abilities. The first is extreme durability. She can withstand an absurd amount of stress before poofing, and has therefore only reformed four times. The second is photokenisis, in which she can use her entire body as a light source.

Romantic/Sexual Orientation: Pansexual

Personality: Kunzite is one of the most upbeat and hyper gems you could possibly meet. She's always happy, and seems to be in a perpetual state of enthusiasm. She's always encouraging others, especially Hiddy, to get involved and do things. She has a tendency to shout when she gets worked up about anything, and also talks quite frequently in a sing song voice. When she's needed to, though, she can ditch the overwhelming happy go lucky attitude and get pretty serious.
