@Gate Keeper I'm willing to bet it only moved because plot convenience and keeping us on our toes. In fact, it moving might be a benefit because we could lure it. I get the feeling it won't fire if there's no framewerk in its firing parameter.

It's kinda funny, so I went back through the posts a bit.

Eiswolf: 1 Sniper- 1 Tentacle Beast- 1 CWM
ATY: 1 Tentacle Beast- 2 CWM
Magus: 4 CWM
X-7: 1 Sniper

+21 CWM deaths split somewhere between Atty/Eiswolf/Yeager?
I was struggling to figure out where those other twoone went- if someone knows that would be great xD

X-7 has a Tentacled Beast as well. Just not from Troas.

Also, if what I am hearing is true, then I doubt we can launch the mist away either without handy-dandy telekinesis. It's entirely gas. Not going to do much. So I think if we can lure it away from the population centers, that is the best bet. Then anybody with explosives can unload on it.

Damn. If we could lure it away, a Tactical Nuke would be super useful...

Thing is, this battle takes place inside the colony. No matter where we go, we'll still be in the city. The only place MIST would be out of range would be up in the sky. I don't have a good plan for launching it up there. I also don't think you can get in range, fire on them and then GTFO again in time.

Tricky stuff this is.

Atomic suggested blowing up Rostosov's remains which are currently underneath MIST, but I don't know how well that would work.

@Ammokkx I think detonating Rostosov's remains might be worth the effort. We can try it, as it will probably allow me to stay the hell out of range.

That would be something to fire on with your HE rounds at least that wouldn't trigger the targeting sensor... Probably your best bet thus far, guys.

Hmm... I can post, but since Daniel and Magus were kinda electrocuted, they aren't worth much. Imma say... Tell PDF to evacuate enough of their chaino'command that they wont be crippled in the case of Mist's activation?

... and then shooting at Rostosov's corpse. (Though honestly I doubt that will do much. He had a heavy artillery bombardment land directly on him already, and if that didn't set off an explosion I don't know what will. It isn't like I got any better ideas to offer though...)

I aim to post tomorrow, but I can't fire this round. So, I was thinking I could move a bit closer and start charging a railgun shot. Though I'd likely need somebody to point out the remains as something I can target.

Anybody wanna collab so somebody can point out the remains? I can think of some ways to bring that up.

I counter argue that the werk is still a good plan. The heavy assault was a general assault, not a targeted attack with general knowledge of power source placement. Sigma could snipe the supply if the unit is reachable. If not then the x-7 can hit it anywhere with the bunker buster which is a high explosive round, which would certainly ignite whatever cold-fusion neutrino generator we use for these monster machines.
