In my statements below I am just pointing out how I read those statements.

In this RP, players will get the chance to recreate some of the bigger DC properties in a similar fashion to what happened when the Golden Age was replaced by the Silver Age.
To me that statment says only the bigger DC properties not the smaller properties. Hawk & Dove are not big properties by any means, based on research for obscure DC heroes. I knew of them from Bruce Timm's Justice League Unlimited show.

You can take ANY DC Comics character or concept and completely change it up to suit your taste.
To me that states if I can find them on dc.wikia.com/wiki/DC_Comics_Database then they are usuable becuase there are only DC Comics characters there.

-----

Since Phantom is unusable I have replaced the CS with Nevermind.

Alright, I've got a concept to throw at you:

The Red Hood... as a Hero for Hire/Bounty Hunter roaming North America in a shitty old truck, living paycheck to paycheck subsisting off of diner-food, cigarettes and an estimated gallon of coffee every day between jobs helping the police round up criminals ranging from the ordinary to the superhuman with (mostly) non-lethal munitions and MacGuyvered gadgets.

Hell, might even throw in a backstory involving being a washout from some universally-beloved (and highly marketable) teenage superhero team that was tossed out for not being good enough, leading to him growing up to be a magnificent wreck of a human being who disdains most people who run about in tights and capes on national television, even though he still shares (most of) their morals and has become something of a folk-hero in his own right.

Working on a Guardian character. Haven't quite figured out what organization gives him the Guardian armor and shield yet. I got part of the idea for the background of my version of him from M.A.N.T.I.S. Loved that show on Fox.

Still tweeking his personality as well. Not quite sure if I want him to be bitter and resentful or not.

@The Kid Lantern finished my cs
Character Reimagined: Starro and Green Lantern
Secret ID: Starro Jr
Age: 5 years since being spawned
Powers:
Telepathy: Starro Jr communicates through the use of telepathy.

Energy Absorption: Starro can absorb all forms of radioactive and electrical energy.

Energy Projection: He can discharge energy in the form of beams in case his power ring is empty of power.

Flight: Jr can fly at high speeds in both space and the air.

Green Lantern Power-ring: As a member of the Green Lantern Corp, Starro Jr can create hard light constructs through the use of his willpower and the strength of these constructs are determined by the power of the ring user's will. He

Weaknesses: His race is very weak against garden lime. Since he is a small Starro spawn, Jr is not very durable without his power ring to protect him with energy barriers. If his ring runs out of power or he loses it then he will no longer have access to the abilities of a Green Lantern.
Personality: Starro Jr unlike the rest of his kind has his own free will and is not under the control of his father, the main Starro. He is a good being and has developed a strong will in his short time of existence. He has feared being alone in darkness, but by over coming it he found his calling as a member of the Green Lantern Corp and the desire to fight for justice. Jr feels ashamed about what his race has done to so many worlds and their inhabitants so he tries to help make amends for their crimes by helping defend the thousands of sectors.

Despite his noble side, Jr still has a bit of temper and when angered he can act very aggressively. He is very loyal to his friends and allies. Jr is a big individualist and believes that all life should have the fundamental right of choosing their own destiny.
Appearance:
He is about the size of a golden retriever dog. When using his power ring his body glows bright green and the symbol and uniform of the Green Lanterns appear on him.

BRIEF Bio: darkness. That was all I remembered when I first awoke in the ocean off the coast of gotham city. I was all alone and I remembered being so afraid. But then the sun rose over the water and I felt its warmth and light wash over me. The sun made me no longer afraid and I willed myself out of the water. I soon discovered what I could do and what I was. I am Starro Jr and this is my story.

Starro Jr is a spawn of the starfish like alien known as Starro and was sent to earth as a scout for seeing if the world was good for conquest. When he arrived on the planet, Jr was struck by debris from a battle going on between a hero and a villain, causing him to lose his memories and purpose. After awaking in the waters of Gotham city, Jr found himself on a strange world with no idea of what he was suppose to do. After spending months observing and studying the earthlings, he decided to help do some good of his own.

His first attempt at fighting a villain did not go well and he was almost killed in the process, but he didn't give up. He was afraid of being alone and in darkness, but his will kept him going with his work as a crime fighter. During one of his battles, he would have died, but he overcame his fear and then a glowing green ring came down from the sky. Starro Jr of earth, you have shown the willpower to overcome great fear. Welcome to The Green Lantern Corp. it said to him and when it attached to one of his tentacles, he felt a great power rush through him.

With his new ring and powers he was able to easily beat his foe and Jr became the Green Lantern of earth. Starro Jr wants to do his best and he hopes to become a great hero.

@Weird Tales I'm afraid that particular type of character won't work since a version of the Starros is what's taking over cities. There's some specific stuff that will be quite different for the Starros in this new universe.

That's not to say you couldn't put a spin on a GL. The idea was to take a concept and rework it. I liked someone's idea earlier of a Mandarin/ Infinity gauntlet type GL character...

@The Kid LanternSo did you want the characters to be completely OC-DC? Because that is what it seems like. Like a character who is Superman but is not Kal-El/Clark Kent. Instead, he is John Doe with some twist.

@Holy Soldier Yeah that's more or less what I intended. Some of us can still have ties to one or two characters, but the idea was to take a DC concept and basically make your own OC inspired by them. Only the trinity [Superman, Batman, and WW] had any similarity to their comic counterparts. However in this universe Superman's been around since the early 40's and was an adult already when he landed, Batman is Thomas Wayne and a man-made vampire, and the Amazons WW hails from are more tech oriented.

Red Hood as a washed up teen hero vigilante sounds good. Just don't make his alias Jason Todd.

I love the Guardian. Probably one of my more favorite underused DC characters. I hate how 'James' Olsen on Supergirl's tv series is the Guardian. It basically ruined the whole show for me. Heaven forbid if a side character in one of the CW shows isn't their own superhero or working for a government agency or some crap.

And holy shit you mentioned MANTIS. That was an awesome show as a kid, can't believe somebody else here has even seen it LOL.

EDIT: I checked into the Phantom by DC, holy shit. Reading up more on the Phantom's history, apparently he was almost called the GRAY GHOST. I wonder if that's where Batman TAS got the idea for GG...? DC published the character for 13 issues, then in '95 Marvel produced a 3 issue mini as well as a tie in comic to the Phantom 2040 cartoon series. If you still wanna use the Phantom that's cool, especially if it's the female version you pictured. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be a male or female in the CS, but I didn't know he was a DC character until you mentioned it.

Character Reimagined: Starfire

Secret ID: None (Will choose the name "Coriander" after she gets to eat kitchen spices and decides it's her favorite.)

Age: 3 months (appears 21)

Powers:
Radiation Metabolism: Her cells can metabolize a wide variety of radiation.
Neutron Radiation: Grows carbon nanotubes throughout her tissue, making her more resilient.
Alpha radiation: Grows graphite along her nervous system and neurons, giving her enhanced reflexes and intelligence, and allowing energy to more easily flow through her body.
Beta radiation: Causes hyper-dense muscle growth and temporarily increases her healing rate and metabolism. Too much at once will make her hyperactive.
Photonic: Stored as an energy-dense complex carbohydrate which her cells can metabolize. Absorption rate must build up to higher levels, so sudden bursts (like laser weapons) will only be partially absorbed.

Plasma manipulation: Can create and manipulate plasmas. She uses this to attack and fly.

Weaknesses: Cold temperatures weaken her. Certain types of exotic radiation, such as that produced by the substance known as "Kryptonite", can't be properly metabolized, and act as a poison. Due to the fact that she was supposed to be controlled by a handler, she is weak to mind control and telepathy. A lack of understanding of human culture makes her easy to manipulate.

Personality: Oblivious. While she has considerable knowledge of HOW to do things, she doesn't understand WHEN or WHY to do many things, nor does she understand human taboos, morality, or culture beyond legal codes.

Appearance:
Currently has no hair or clothes, as it was burned off by the sun.

BRIEF Bio: As soon as he took office Lex Luthor ordered Star Labs, a private thinktank and science facility, to create a Superhuman agent for the military that can challenge Superman or other aliens if they need to. He even saw to it that they were given samples of DNA from various alien races.

After creating a viable embryo in the lab using meta-human and alien DNA, it was transferred to their Solar-orbital anti-matter collection facility inside Mercury's orbit, where it could absorb the radiation it needed in it's sun-side tank. After a month of development, when the clone was developmentally four or five years old, they placed implants within its brain so that they could control it if it awakened, and feed it data as it slept. They gave her technical knowledge of fighting techniques, strategy, weapons, vehicles, and taught her every earth language, as well as a few alien ones.

Before the project was finished, however, a massive solar flare knocked out all electronics on the station, including her life support and implants. With the containment on the anti-matter pods failing and them being unable to manually dump it, the scientists fled the station, assuming her to be dead.

The station exploded, but she was able to survive, unconscious, in orbit of the sun where she continued to develop for several weeks. Eventually, however, she regained consciousness and used her powers to fly to Earth, intent on performing her duty of stopping the enemies of the United States.

Notes: The scientists were able to grow a proper clone at another solar-orbital facility, and named it "Commander" Blackfire, as it was created for the military. Whether it was brought out of stasis or not is unknown at this time.

The OOC is up. Finished character sheets need to be sent to me through PM's for final approval. Only gonna take 6 or 7 of the best sheets for now to get the game going, and I'll likely accept a couple more the first couple weeks of the IC in case of any dropouts.

@bluetommy2 I think you changed him up enough to work. I might need to double check and make sure his stuff fits with Superman's timeline. Krypton would've exploded in 1938. IDK how that could change your guy up, but you did mention Phantom Zone stuff. Maybe he escaped into the Phantom Zone?

I loved Mantis. I bought the digital copy from Amazon years ago. When I watched it I remembered a lot of it from the broadcast. But the series finale I must have never seen because that episode was beyond rediculous and the ending pissed me off.

I kind of want to do Hawk/Dove, Guardian, & Phantom now. Don't know if I can handle all 4 at once though.

Speaking of Supergirl's Guardian that costume I really like it but it's kind of bland so I found where someone took a promo image of it and gave it some of the Guardian's typical colors.
