In a time when people are just beginning to learn of the existence of supernatural beings, those beings are trying to make it seem less scary. How better to do that then force them to live together? Right. This isn't the past. You can't just force things your afraid of to live together and away from the general population. The group that is moving to the house, is going to have to fight to get along as well as get the town to open their minds. It may not be the simpliest task, as many assumptions and differences run deep. 

The mayor has asked the residents of Independence to open their minds while also asking the supernaturals to stay at the house on the end of Walnut St. Doesn't seem terrible, except the house does have some of it's own issues. Only seems to prove that even those encouraging change, aren't much better than the rest. They've got to work on keeping the house together while also working together and making their way. 

The OOC


This would be where your character woud come in. You would be one of the supernatural beings living within the house or if you really wanted, you could be a human neighbor. Maybe you're fighting for equality just as the rest of them are. Or maybe you just want to get closer to the strange beings. This story will pick up when everyone is moving in to the house. There will likely be people who don't mix well and probably some relationships formed. It's up to you what type of character you have.

Cody is a wise-cracker. While not always sarcastic, she saves her witty remarks for times when they'll truly count or are necessary. Although she typically means well, even her non-sarcastic majority statements are sharp-tongued at best, so she can come off as being kind of an asshole. Not that she is. Honestly, Cody's a good kid (tip: don't call her a kid), but she just has no filter and speaks harshly with others. Once one looks past her sharp tongue, it becomes easier to see her generosity and altruism. But don't assume for a second she has patience. That's one part of the "good girl" trope Cody does not have in any capacity.

Dullahans. Mighty fae of the unseelie court. Most people have heard the legends at one point or another, stating that dullahans are headless riders that ride atop black steeds and serve as harbingers of death. There is no stopping the path of a dullahan except with gold, and they are not a race to be trifled with. Of course, those are just stories. Dullahans are by no means harbingers of death, though they've done an excellent job of spreading rumors about it that eventually evolved into folklore. In all reality, they set up the stories as a defense mechanism to keep everybody else from trying to find them. It worked pretty well too; until recently, dullahans have lived undisturbed deep in the woods of their native Ireland.

However, that's the past. Once the existence of supernatural beings reached human ears, it didn't take long for them to find the dullahans, and for the most part, every bit of xenophobia humans have toward dullahans has proven to be mutual. Only a few have left their woodland homes to live among humans, and Cody is one of them. By her account, it was more to get away from other dullahans than to get more familiar with all these wacky races that have their heads attached to their bodies.

However, there's not really much to say about the girl's life story. Her father was a hunter and her mother a bonesmith, and as cool as whips made of "human*" spines are, Cody's true passion in life wasn't with hunting or putting the parts of dead bodies to use. Cody liked horses. Needless to say, dullahans in general have an affinity with them, but Cody in particular just really liked horses. She grew up caring for one, and wanted to just be with them for the rest of her life. However, she didn't want to put up with other dullahans. When the opportunity to volunteer for living among the humans came up, Cody jumped at the chance, much to her family's dismay. In retrospect, she hadn't considered that her horse would not be able to join her for the trip here, but is nonetheless fascinated that there are human jobs involving horses.

Cody, for one, would like to become a rancher, caring for horses and other forms of livestock, and being able to live mostly independant of others. Failing that, she'd like to become an comic book artist and writer.

The surname "MacBeth" seems to be really popular among dullahans. Apparently, they have a soft spot for theatrical productions where lots of people die.

 Young by dragon standards, old by human standards, Doranth considers herself a sociable, downright benevolent example of her species, preferring to talk first, rather than resorting to flames, claws and violence to solve problems. Has developed some odd ideas about what human culture is like. Still suffers from the general dragon problem of "far too proud for their own good", which tends to manifest itself as impulsiveness - after all, what a dragon does must be correct, because otherwise why would a dragon do it?

Bio / History
Doranth's "official" history, as she tells it, is a grand epic of struggles against other dragons, daring raids on isolated villages and a brief stint of being worshipped by the "creatures of the woods". The truth is considerably less interesting and glorious; Doranth basically lived in a forest for most of her life, scavenging food from the outskirts of the nearby town, preying on animals and watching humanity curiously. She marveled at everything that did, everything thay had, and the ridiculously tasty and sweet food they made. It beat a diet of squirrels and stray cats.

When the opportunity to live amongst the people came up, Doranth took it without hesitation. Not only was this a chance to put her knowledge of human culture to the test, but it'd surely provide access to a nearly endless supply of cakes, pastries, tea and conversation. It beat trying to hold a conversation with squirrels and stray cats.

Personality Despite her history, Robyn is an extrovert. She marvels in the company of others and often puts her friends on a pedestal to show her appreciation of them, or perhaps it's just to divert attention from herself. This self-doubt is deeply tied to her powers and her appearance, and deep inside her is an ember that won't go out; an ember of rage and confusion at the mystery that is her powers.

Bio/History
To start with, one should explain Robyn's appearance. To explain her appearance, you have to explain her powers. The image used above is literal; she really looks like a drawing. She's a living, walking, talking scribbled drawing. She's still "3D", as heavy as a regular human being her size, she can wear normal clothes, and nothing she touches becomes like her. If she was born this way, she doesn't know. Orphaned at an early age, her first memories were of the many different orphanages that took her in. She just couldn't seem to stick to one place. The first orphanage she was too young to remember why she was relocated, the second one closed after a few years, the third one didn't want to keep her anymore because her appearance made her "unadoptable" according to the orphanage's owners, and so on. The fourth orphanage she stayed in the longest, from the age 7 to 15. This is where she made the most friends and some of them accepted her for the way she was. She turned into a people-person, distrustive of authority but wanted to believe the best of all people. She always chased after possible leads of places where meta-humans or supernaturals like her could be accepted into a community, and so from the age of 15 she left her orphanage and the few friends she had made there to journey to Independence, the town she had heard about. Sure, it was on the other side of the country and she stopped by many places on the way there, but after 2 years on the road she made it there, and tried to find a place to belong. After a few years on the streets or in different temporary living-solutions, she heard that the Supernatural community of the town was to be asked to move into a house at the end of Walnut Street. Walnut Street! What a funny name! And so, her story continues.

Other
To explain Robyn's actual powers, she's not just a "living drawing". She's a sort of imagination-mancer, where she can weave items into existance that have the same properties as the object she's made, but also herself. For example, she -could- weave a gun into existance, with bullets and so on. And it -could- fire, but it's be a scribble like herself. After a few minutes, or when Robyn willed it so, it would disappear. The extent of her powers is unknown, but in theory she could create anything that she can imagine. She never tried weaving a car into existance though. Who knows if that even works? I'm keeping her powers to the minimum at first, seeing as conjuring any item in existance is quite a hard power to balance. I'll leave it to the GM to have the final say in the full extent of her powers, but I'm intending her powers to grow as the RP progresses.

Bio/History
She is effectively the anthropomorphic personification of the local Botanic Gardens, having existed there since it was founded over 200 years ago. Thus she owes her existence to humans so, unlike most forest spirits, rather than being seeing them as destructive pests she has seen how many of them diligently look after her subjects, going to great lengths to study and preserve them, partially for research purposes but also simply out of an appreciation of the beauty of nature. The constant exposure to humans has lead to a quiet fascination with them, it was a great day whenever any of them forgot some book, or more recently laptop, and she would eagerly peruse and absorb all the information she could about the odd creatures before they or some gardener came looking for the lost item.

Unfortunately humans are easily spooked, so after the first few attempts at communication in the 1800 had resulted in the humans either running away screaming or assuming they had gone mad she had gotten into the habit of simply blending in with the surrounding foliage and resigned herself to her lonely existence. That is until she read about the supernatural integration policy in a newspaper, the man over whose shoulder she was reading was quite surprised when the small tree he was leaning against suddenly set off at a brisk pace for the mayor's residence.

Bio/History - Clyde has been a Djinn for who knows how long. Even himself can not remember. The item he seems to be linked to, like most djinns have, is an ancient looking compass. From the looks it is one of the originals which were crafted. Very few even know much about it's history, though those that do know it's from a Chinese ship from estimate 200 BC. Yet it is far to be believed that has been the only artifact or item Clyde has been linked to. It simply seems to be his favorite right now.

Other - Clyde has been attempting to not to cause what people have asked for, not as a wish, to be from a negative source like his kind has a habit of doing.

My Neighbor Emmy

Emmy is, at his base, is entirely made of stone but due to living in more lush environments as of late, it has become overgrown with bark-like vines and healthy greenery. Its height is stunted, measuring just about six feet from hunch to toe (as Emmy's head isn't the tallest point). In Emmy's chest lies a purple jewel that is Emmy's life energy. It emits so much power that the greenery that has taken root into Emmy's stone is capable of sustaining the plants even through some milder winters.

Personality
You'll find that Emmy is quite the quiet type... It is unable to speak and instead relies on his slow, gentle expressions in order to express itself. Interaction with it should be done about with simple words or expressions in order to best interact with it. Despite the inability to talk, Emmy can be pretty expressive through his actions. It is fairly timid to meeting new people or being introduced to new experiences. Parallel to that, it is not very intelligent with something akin to a young child's curious mind but without the creativity to go with it. However, it is capable of learning, albeit a bit slowly, and even more impressive, it does have a very strong memory capable of remembering even the slightest detail for millennia, possibly.

Bio/History
Emmy's rock was probably first conjured from the earth's crust around 55 million years ago as it originally comes from the Himalayan Mountains so one could consider that its birthplace. However, it was just a large boulder in the mountains for most of its existence until something breathed life into those lifeless rocks. There are a number of potential supernatural beings that could have brought life into Emmy but none so far have claimed responsibility for its creation yet. In fact, the only remnant of Emmy's creator is a small pulsating diamond within Emmy, approximately at its center of mass. Surprisingly, Emmy is aware of its stone heart and understands its importance, even so far to associate the diamond with the lush greenery growing around. Whatever the case, the diamond does emit a mystical power to bring Emmy to life and without it, Emmy would probably cease.

Other
Marie-Laure is a neighborhood kid that lives near the Supernatural house in Independence. At the start of the RP, I'll establish that Emmy has been there for some time before the other supernaturals moved in. Since he is basically a giant rock with no care necessary, the relocation program would probably just pick him up and drop him off shortly after acquiring the house, especially considering he is just going to be outside. So imagine Emmy living there for a week or two before the others arrive. During that time, Marie would have probably crept around the house as rumors would likely be a buzz about supernaturals moving in, so naturally, a child would probably investigate. Marie meets Emmy, calls him Emmy and so Emmy has his name. I'll play both characters seeing as Emmy doesn't do much on his own anyway. Plus, we need a human somewhere. Anyway~

This makes things a bit difficult befriending new people and as a result, Marie spends most of her time on her own, although she doesn't seem to bothered by it. She spends most of her time accompanying her father at the museum to satisfy her natural curiosity.

Bio/History
Marie-Laure is a native Parisian with her father being entirely French while her mother is entirely American. Marie had lived her first ten years of her life in Paris before they moved to Independence to be closer to Marie's mother's family, who at the time had a sick sister. They quickly got comfortable in the States and eventually decided to stay. For the next three years, they mostly lived in peace. Marie's mother started teaching at the local christian school and Marie's father got a job at the local museum, which quickly became Marie's favorite place in town. With the recent announcement of supernatural beings moving down the street, Marie's mother is a bit apprehensive about staying due to her more conservative, religious mindset. With the threat of leaving looming, Marie had to see what the fuss was about it. After all, not many get to see a supernatural being up close.

Couple quick questions: how big is she? Cause like the house isn't that big and it may suck if she's like living outside with her head poked through a window or something. And can she speak to others?

What the-- ops! I read the other rules but somehow missed the one about the age! Sorry fam, correcting asap!

Also yeah she just kinda wills them into existance. In the process of being conjured (takes a few seconds depending on the size and complexity of the object) the object looks like it is being drawn into existance rapidly.

I... had to look this up. I hadn't realized that was a movie. But my goal was to have all adults, otherwise it'd be a bit odd to have someone's parents let them go live with a bunch of strangers. Especially a human with supernatural beings.

Also yeah she just kinda wills them into existance. In the process of being conjured (takes a few seconds depending on the size and complexity of the object) the object looks like it is being drawn into existance rapidly.@Chenzor

Thank you! I actually put the age thing in the rules to see if anyone wouldn't read them. xD It's not that I care a bunch, but it's kinda interesting to see. 

Okay, that's pretty cool. I would love to see that progressing in the story. She's approved now, by the way. Go ahead and move her to the other tab. :)
