Actually, giving it some thought, I think I've broke through my writer's block with a solid character concept. I'm thinking of doing a modern day Dullahan for my Hellion, some guy got on the wrong side of the Boyles and got whacked and similarly dumped in a spot where the boundaries of this world and the Tree of Life and Death are weak. Couple weeks come buy and the guy wakes up as a supernatural being hellbent on revenge. I wanted to know if this was a cool with you before I commit and start writing everything up.

I would like to say transformed but the possessed could also work, I haven't worked everything out since I'm not 100% on how he'd get flooded with enough Vis to become what he is. In the mythology the Dullahan was an Unseelie Fae, or at least is associated with that court, and just generally foretold people when they were going to die by being ominous and splashing people with blood. I want to work it into a spirit of vengence type deal, so if you could help me figure that out how to make this work I'd appreciate it since I'm not 100% on how multiple worlds and Vis work.

Based on what I've read it would be pretty easy to turn the Dullahan into a Ghost Rider-esque concept with the character becoming a spirit of vengeance through death or a near death experience. Perhaps being killed near the veil was enough for the being to pass through, taking possession of the character's body as it laid near death.

Same-sex marriage is legal in California, which is the State the RP is set in. So I can't imagine it being a problem.
