"Nice to meet you Himura-san"

Risa greets as she gives the girl a warm smile...

"If there's one thing those magazines wont tell you about, probably... Is that I enjoy companionship, even if you are the silent sort... Kind of a side effect of my circumstances really..."

She takes a sip of water...

"That said there should be something you feel comfortable talking to others about... Maybe something about the medium you actually express yourself, If I'd hazard a guess, I think you're a painter..."

"Hmm... Ya know what Ris, I'd actually like to see how a painter's abilities manifest, maybe what they'd draw or paint on some magical sketchpad would become tangibly real or something like that..."

At first Risa entertained the thought but then dismissed it...

"Just so you do become a magical girl, I'd hope you don't get the ability the runt there described, I don't to see in the news headlines "Magical girl seriously injured in the middle of painting her weaponry into existence"... And on that note, I guess talking about Magical girls should be fine as well since you do seem to have at least an interest in them and I am one..."

Risa comments as she brings her focus back on Shizuri

"I don't really do much. I read and browse the net but I don't think I have any special skills."

This was easier than she expected. Maybe it was because Kuroe knew The Major and it wasn't at all like talking to a stranger. Maybe it was a good time to get some information.

"Kuroe had a shout out to this new dragon girl on one of her accounts today? Have you heard anything about her?"

It was as good a way to find something out as anything. There was no way she would be as lucky as to actually bump into this new girl or something silly like that.

"Oh Kuroe-san... Yeah she seemed awfully clingy to dragon lady last night"

"About as clingy as you were with the Ripper girl... I bet their date went a damn side better than your attempt... Also I still wager you can't freeze a gelatin monster like she did"

Marza's interjection elicited a glare followed by an angry response from her partner...

"Oh would you... Guhh... Right... Sorry bout that Himura-san... Don't much know what the dragon girl was up to last night, more because the Negari was between me and everyone else during that battle... Hmm, maybe Kuroe knows her magical girl name already... Why don't we ask Kuroe..."

At this point Risa takes out her smartphone, spending some time to look for Kuroe's post and in reply...

Hello Kuroe, Just stopping by to see how well you got along with draco last night... You got her name by chance? - Maj.

"Hopefully we get a reply before we finish our meal... Speaking off here comes the waitress..."

Risa turns her attention to the Waitress and iterates their order. Afterwards she brings her focus back to Shizuri.

"Anyway, I'm sure the dragon girl would pop up somewhere... Lest of course she's from out of town..."

"Oh, um, that's great!" Akane said, trying to focus on the prospect of getting a tasty meal rather then any of the other nervous thoughts plaguing her mind at the moment. Certainly, she was quite hungry... ah, how had she ended up like this, though? Inviting an upperclassmen to lunch had just been such a spur of the moment thing, had it really been a good idea? This wasn't normally something she ever did... had becoming a magical girl filled her with some kind of strange sense of boldness? And yet, this seemed to be some utterly misplaced confidence given how nervous she'd become just sitting down.

Deep down, she began to want to slap herself in the face. Why had she thought inviting an upperclassmen she'd barely ever spoken to before for a meal was a good idea? It was like the most awkward possible date or something!

... Why did she have to have to think of that comparison?! Now it just felt even more awkward!

When Katsura-senpai pointed out that she didn't need to be nervous, well, that was just icing on the cake, really.

"A-ah, well, er," Akane blushed, trying to shunt the embarrassing date comparison out of her thoughts, "I guess it's just, um, this wasn't, ah, this isn't something I do a lot, really, um, it was really sudden so er... s-sorry if I'm being awkward or something..."

She trailed off.

You can do it, Akane-chan! I believe in you!

At least Melody had turned around from pouting to cheering her on... Though the fact that she needed cheering on just talking to someone new was a little bit of a depressing prospect for Akane.

The older girl let out a giggle, a melodious sound that she immediately stifled by holding her hand to her face before it could evolve into full-blown chuckling. It was certainly not her intention to be so rude to the other student, but the awkwardness that Akane was very much embodying was quite endearing and cute to behold. She hadn't expected the new magical girl to be worrying so much over whether or not their presence was something she disliked, but it was a trait that - while adorable - was rather befitting a defender of humanity against the Negari. The ability to always consider others was always one to be cherished.

Although, her underclassman would need to be careful not to focus so much on others at the detriment of herself.

"Oh, it's perfectly fine," replied Hyoukyo, lowering her hand to reveal her patient and kindly smile. "This was rather out-of-the-blue for me as well."

It hadn't been an extremely shocking series of events (if one were to exclude the revelation of the newborn magical girl's identity), but the East Umitori third-year had definitely not be expecting her day to be moving in such a direction. She'd been quite intent on returning home initially, but as if a train forced to change tracks due to an accident further down the rail, she instead found herself connecting with Akane. Even if the younger girl hadn't been a magical girl, she thought, she probably still would have sought to approach the girl. Garnering further information and data on Akane's powers and abilities would be useful, but making friends with the underclassman was something she found to be quite a potential source of fun.

Akane glanced up when she heard Katsura-senpai's laughter. It was... pretty, really, but she suddenly felt even more self-conscious. Had she said something silly? She hadn't said anything too silly, right? The redheaded girl fidgeted in her seat for a few moments, braid swaying back and fourth as she did. But the older girl's words were reassuring, at least. It was something abrupt and unplanned... and... and she almost never did those kinds of things on her own! In fact, thinking back on her past, Akane was quite certain she'd never once done something like this before... so perhaps becoming a magical girl really had boosted her confidence?! Oh, she could only hope so...

"Ah, um, well, then... that's... i-it's good we're doing this!" Akane finally concluded, fidgeting weakly in her seat. Ahh... this was difficult, but... if she was a magical girl she could push through anything, right?! Right!

Go Akane-chaaaaan! You can do it!

... Having to be cheered on about it was still kind of pathetic, though... but... little steps, right?

"Um, so, um... what were you planning on doing today?"

"Nothing much in particular," was the older girl's reply, which, despite her initial plans to get some studying in, was technically true. While keeping up with one's studies was definitely of great import, most of her assignments had already been completed, her domestic responsibilities dealt with in a reasonably satisfactory manner, and no other events had been scheduled for the day. To push back some time allotted to study on a weekend to later in the day was perfectly acceptable, even if she would have to reduce the duration of her break or the time spent on patrol. Although, given that her companion was in fact a fellow magical girl, one could feasibly consider that her "getting-to-know" Akane was in fact a form of improving a work relationship, and thus was a perfectly adequate use of her time (in an efficient yet enjoyable manner).

Didya have to crap out so many words to say you wanna pal up with dragon girl?

I'm merely adjusting my schedule.

"It hasn't been a very busy week," she added, noting in the corner of her eye that the waiter was returning with their orders. That was good, she was beginning to feel the effects of hunger. "So I'm free to spend my time however I wish."

Shizuri looked at her water glass for a few moments.

"It's the first I've heard of this girl here or anywhere else. Is she new? There's not a lot of Magical Girls out there that I haven't heard of. The chances that a new girl would show up for the first time in an area that wasn't her own sound pretty slim to me."

She ignored the soft, pulsed vibration of her phone in her pocket with a carefully neutral expression. The two that would mean it was a message for Kuroe. At least the reply was somewhat expected.

"Slim yes, though a possibility we can't rule out... It is well known that this little bugger had me sign a life changing contract as I was disembarking, dead tired from a plane... And I the first time I ever used magic at all was after I've traveled a fair distance from the airport"

"And here I am paying for my laziness... I just went for the nearest girl with some form of magical aptitude..."

Marza comments on the tangent the conversation took...

"Oh yeah... that reminds me... I wanted to personally ask another magical girl if they ever do training... A tall order when every other magical girl seems to be Clark Kenting... I still don't understand how he manages to hide behind those so well... Hey Marza, I will give you permission to use your magic sight thing and see if anyone in the vicinity has magical aptitude..."

"I'm not some Smart phone app you know..."

"You might as well be... If there exist PDA's, Personal Digital Assistants, you fairies might as well be PMA', Personal Magical Assistants for magical girls..."

Marza sighs at this but complies as she scans their surroundings...

"Well aside from Himura-san... Dark haired girl and the red-head over there together on that table, they both have magical aptitude... Also the pair of blondes over there as well... Can't tell if they're magical girls tho..."

The fairy gestures at the respective tables to which Risa's eyes inevitably turn to...

"Say you know what else has a slim chance? That all four of them are NOT magical girls yet..."

Risa turns back to Himura and then to Marza...

"This is actually a matter of probability... This table also seats two girls with magical aptitude and we can be sure that one of them is a magical girl... me... If we take this table as a basis then at least one girl on each of those tables is a magical girl... Say, Himura-san since you said you know many of us magical girls, do you think you can recognize anyone on those two tables who would likely be one?"

"I'm hungry."

"Eh?"

Frudie looked at her long time partner, a perplexed look on her face. The long-suffering fairy had long grown used to her partners habits and her general demeanor towards living, but every now and then, the magical girl managed to surprise her. Right now was no different - though, to be fair, surprise was not as accurate a word as, say, incredulous, to describe what she was feeling now.

Bringing up food in the middle of a fight wasn't something she usually did, after all.

The large Negari - a monstrous creature that looked like a frankensteinian mix between a chicken and a pig, and about the size of a truck - loomed over them, baring its claws threateningly. Golden Flower idly wondered just what kind of negative feelings produced a monster like this. Someone must have really hated the thought of bacon and eggs for lunch. And she was thinking about food again.

"I'm hungry," she repeated, right before ducking under the Negari's attempts to claw her face out.

"C-can we discuss this later?!" Yuri didn't usually act like this during a fight! Usually she was so obsessed with taking out with her opponent that she completely forgot where she was. Now though, she seemed almost bored! Not to mention that claw swiped was a little too close for Frudie's comfort!

Golden Flower, for her part, just stared dispassionately at her foe. It was big, yeah, ugly too, but it wasn't a challenge. She could already tell as much. It's strikes were deadly, and she was sure that the thing could hurt her if those claws reached, but the problem was that it was just so slow, probably being the slowest Negari she'd ever faced. There was just no challenge at all.

As such, discussing food was more interesting, never mind the scared civilians fleeing the scene.

"I think I'll go for Italian. Don't feel like cookin' today, and I heard there's a cheap little restaurant not too far from here."

"Okay, we can go discuss food later just- WATCH OUT!"

The little fairy nearly had a heart-attack as the Negari rushed towards her partner, all the while clucking like a demented chicken from hell. Frudie made a mental note to get the sound out of her head with some music later, preferably something loud and obnoxious that would get stuck in her head for days.

The giant chicken-pig-thing opened its mouth wide, and a long, thick tongue shot out and wrapped around Golden Flower, quickly pulling the magical girl towards its gaping maw. Frudie would have screamed if her voice didn't get stuck in her throat.

Golden Flower looked at her seemingly impending doom with a mix of boredom and disgust. Right as she was in front of the Negari's mouth, a golden flame enveloped her body, quickly pushing the beasts tongue away from her and leaving her free to swing her fists at its enormous head. The resounding crack echoed like a thunderbolt as the sound barrier gave way to her blow, and the Negari's head caved into its body, even as its body sunk into the ground from the sheer force of the magical girls blow.

She didn't let up however, and followed the blow with another, stronger one, causing the Negari to practically explode from the inside and shaking the earth beneath it. Kicking the air with enough force to crack at the sound barrier, she put some distance between herself and the dissipating body of the creature, flipping in the air once before landing next to Frudie.

"So, yeah, I heard that it's a pretty cheap place from a classmate. Might be worth checking into," she said, continuing their conversation as though she hadn't just pummeled the physical manifestation of negative emotions to death with her bare hands.

"Y-yeah . . ." Frudie had well and truly given up on making sense of this girl.

Golden Flower grinned. "A'ight then, it's settled. Hang on Die." The little fairy latched on to her partners arm and closed her eyes, expecting what was going to happen next. The magical girl crouched low, before kicking at the ground beneath her and shooting into the air like a golden missile. Having a general sense of where she was supposed to go, she twisted a bit in midair, laughing gleefully at the feeling of the wind on her face, even as the pair descended. It was her favorite method of travel, as far as being a magical girl went - she loved the feeling of being able to push herself into the sky, of being closer to the clouds than anyone else. It was also just plain fun.

It was times like this that Frudie felt that Yuri was more innocent than she liked to pretend. She was a girl that was rough around the edges, to be sure, but when she laughed like this as she took in the pleasure of an act as simple as descending from the sky, it made it hard for her to think about Yuri's violent side.

The pair landed on top of a nearby building, which was low enough that it caught the attention of passerby walking down below. Golden Flower didn't care much for their stares, however, and simply looked around for her objective. Her face broke into a smile as she once more leaped into the air, though at a much lower altitude, and landed onto the sidewalk below, and in front of an Italian/Japanese restaurant, "Saizeriya".

She took one look at it before thrusting the doors open and walking inside, complete with her magical girl ensemble.

"W-wait! You're just going to walk in like this?!" hissed Frudie quietly next to her ear. Her magical girl garb while not as intricate as those of her peers, was nonetheless eye-catching for entirely different reasons, reasons like her completely and shamelessly exposed front. The Golden Flower looked at her questioningly, as though she couldn't comprehend her question.

"Why not? Ain't no law that says a magical girl can't eat yeah?" she retorted, before walking over and plopping down on a nearby seat with as much grace as she entered - which is to say, not much. "Relax Frudie, we're just gonna have quick bite n' head home. So yeah, I'll take a chicken risotto and pasta with pancetta, with pumpkin soup on the side, and a bottomless ice-tea. What about you?"

She remained oblivious to the stares of the clientele inside the restaurant, who were no doubt unused to the sight of a magical girl so casually entering a diner and ordering a meal.

"Y-you-! I, ugh," the fairy muttered something strangely like 'I give up', before sighing and peeking at the menu in her friends hands. "chicken risotto and pasta with panacetta? Really?" She said, giving her partner a dry stare.

"I have a wicked sense of humor, bite me," she shrugged. Shaking her head, Frudie returned to the menu.

"Just get me spaghetti carbonara. And a gelato!" The fairy seemed to perk up at the thought of the frozen treat, something which her partner grinned at slightly. Frudie liked to act all high-strung and whiny, but she changed her tune fast at the mention of sweets.

"Oh, um, that's good! Ah, er, I guess it hasn't been that busy for me either," replied Akane, reaching back behind her head to scratch at it nervously. To be honest, there wasn't much that didn't make her feel nervous. But... but this was going really well, wasn't it? Ah, it was actually pretty nice talking to Katsura-senpai! "So, er, what were you-

Akane cut herself off when she caught sight of the next person to walk in. Indeed, most of the other patrons of the restaurant stopped and stared in stunned silence at the next person to walk in. After all, it wasn't very often that a magical girl in full transformation just walked in and sat down.

Naturally, the redheaded girl easily recognized this one. She would recognize any magical girls in the city, and many from outside of it! Her heart beating faster, with excitement, she shot to her feet.

Even after becoming one herself, Akane was hardly going to stop being excited at so easily seeing one of the girls she adored so much.

"That's Golden Flower-san!" she cried, unable to contain herself, "G-Golden Flower-san just walked into the restaurant! C... can you believe that?!"

The bemused teenage girl quietly plucked their plates from the recently-arrived, but now utterly frozen waiter, who, like her dining companion, was just as bedazzled by the sight of the fully-transformed magical girl walking into the restaurant. The two dishes were incredibly warm, and Hyoukyo took extra care to place them down upon the table in order to better avoid a death by still-hot pasta.

You ain't a germ, so you ain't wanna get fuckin' PASTA-rized!

I see your humour has barely managed to improve.

"Of course I can," was her reply, indigo eyes resting on the Golden Flower for only the barest of seconds before returning to focus on the excited younger girl in front of her. After all, it was perfectly believable, especially when there were now at least three individuals in the establishment who had contracted with one of the fae. She was one of those three, and if she could not believe in her own existence, then what could she believe? "Do you want to say hello?"

There was a light, somewhat teasing tone to her voice. The older girl smiled at Akane, elbows sitting upon the table and chin resting against steepled fingers. It was surprising how much of a fan the newly born magical girl was of their kind, and she couldn't resist poking it a bit to see how it progressed. Would Akane want to greet one of her idols, now that she was a magical girl herself?

It was a form of getting to know colleagues, after all.

"Oh how about that... Her timing is impeccable..."

"Yeah... It's like magic..."

Marza adds with sarcasm... Which earned her a scornful look from her partner

"Well... you wanted to ask another magical girl if they train, go on right ahead..."

"Right... Who knows, maybe she's seen our draconic girl somewhere..."

Risa fixed herself up enough to be presentable but did'nt bother to stand...

"Yo! Golden Flower... Lookin tight..."

She began, at a loud enough voice that the radiant magical girl would surely notice her. On the other hand she'd also bring to herself the attention of everyone else who's got their attention on the flower of fisticuffs... Aside from the casual clothing, anyone knowledgeable enough about mahou shoujo in the area would easily recognize her as Katsuragi Risa, The Major...

"I know it's a slim chance but, have ye by any chance come across a redhead magical girl with draconic features?"

She asks straight to the point... Though not to the point she wanted to discuss but instead as an effort to help Himura find out more about this mysterious dragon girl...

She never even got a chance to answer before someone else who was very surely a magical girl walked in. Shizuri averted her eyes and they fell upon the girl from earlier who had run into her. She looked down at the table top.

And Shizuri had thought that being singled out by Risa had been bad. Things were rapidly getting worse and there seemed to be no clear avenue of escape. It wasn't as if she could simple leave, not after having already ordered. The only choice lay in simply weathering the mess that things had become.

Golden Flower looked up as Risa approached her. Even if she wasn't aware of her as a magical girl, the fairy was a dead giveaway. Not like she was at all affected by her sudden appearance, though she had to wonder, why approach her? She wasn't exactly the most popular magical girl around, as far as other magical girls go.

Well, she was in a good mood, so she may as well indulge her.

The Major asked her something about a dragon-girl. A magical girl with a dragon theme maybe? She hasn't seen anyone like that, and she said as much. No point in prolonging this conversation after all.

"Eh, sorry, no dice. Just came back from a hunt and stepped in here for a meal. Say, this girl yer lookin' for, strong?" There was a hungry glint in her eye as she spoke. Her thought process was rather simple really - Dragons were strong, and magical girls were usually strong. Put two-and-two together and perhaps she'd just found a new sparring partner.

Truth was, few magical girls were willing to fight with her a second time. Too weak, or too uptight. The former was something she could do little about - not everyone put in the effort to be strong, and as much as that weakness disgusted her if they couldn't fight back it wouldn't be fun; as for the latter, they were always restricting themselves. Limiting the use of their abilities only for 'Negari' or for the sake of whatever 'justice' they subscribed to.

Hopefully this dragon magical girl would be someone who knew how to have a little fun.

"Um... um... um... um..."

At some point, Akane had shot to her feetr. In such a short amount of time, she'd become a magical girl and met so many other magical girls... Ah, it was a dream come true, it really was! But this time, well... Golden Flower just walked into the restaurant out of no-where! For a moment, food was completely forgotten, Akane's fists clenched in front of her chest as she nervously hopped from one foot to the other. This was just... just too exciting!

"... Y... y-yes! Yes!"

Without further delay, the redhead almost immediately made her way to the magical girl, leaving her bag behind as she did. She was a fan of every magical girl, all of them! Even the ones that weren't as popular she faithfully followed however she could! All magical girls deserved her passionate interest, there wasn't a single one who didn't deserve it! However, as Akane came to a stop just in front of Golden Flower, she found herself uncertain of what to say, cheeks flushed with both excitement and no small amount of embarrassment as she rocked slightly on her heels.

"E-er... um... e-er... u-u-um..." for a few moments she stood there rather awkwardly, kicking herself. She ran over here and then couldn't say anything?! "... H... H... H-h-hi G-Golden Flower-san!"
