Some Rules:
1- Please follow the plot the best way you can. And don't worry if you make a mistake or two for I make mistake as well when writing.

2- Image links are allowed to help describe something, can be either within what you are writing or linked at the very bottom of your post.

3- Try to reply within a three day period. I know real life can keep you away so if you need a break just let me know.

4- Since this is a survival RP killing of animals is fine, but as long as you eat it not because you wanted to kill something. And/or defending yourself against a predator and you have other choice by to kill it before it kills you sort of thing.

5- If you have any questions PM me, don't post questions here.

6- Lastly please have fun!!

Genre for this RP:
  • Adventure
  • Survival/Camping
  • Teenage Life
  • Abduction
  • Science
  • Mystery
  • Some Romance (if it gets to that point).
  • Action
  • Comedy
  • Possible Murder.. *clears throat* Killings.
  • And much more! But this pretty much covers it.

Main Characters:

When:
The RP takes place in autumn of 2017. School is two months in, depending where you are located. You will be going through your day like another day. Towards the end of that day or the next you'll get abducted/kidnapped.

Where:
You can choose from where you start, but it has to take place within the Untied States in any town or city you can use an existing town or city. Eventually the characters will end up at the same place.

The area we are taken to is called Cobalt Island. First we are caged up in prison like cells. We are kept there for several days. We are put through a strain of tests before given the serum. Once we are able to take on our wolf form they keep we are then released into the wilds to see how we fair. Once in a while they will track us down, either to ask questions or to take us back to the lab for various of reasons.

How Come:
Do to a hidden gene within a some number of people if given a serum it triggers that gene to become active. Because of this those people are able to morph into a wolf. Either by free will or at unpredictable times.

This gene has been passed down to the next generation for centuries. It went unnoticed until it was discovered accidentally by a scientist who was studying human genetics when also studying a newly discovered disease that was effecting people in the year 1994. He thought that gene was the cause for the disease so he studied even further. And what he found lead to what is going to happen.

Who Should We Worry About:
Dr. Drake Palmer
He is rich, famous and is a hard person to get along with. Not just because he is rich but his personality is a bit unpredictable. It took him ten years of obsessed research and experimentation on humans who may or may not have the hidden trait. Even to this day there's still no diffident way of determining how to test for that exact gene yet. It is somehow linked to a certain protein that can only found in wolves. The only way to detect that gene at the moment is by a blood draw. The blood with a heightened protein count is a person of interest. But if only it were that easy... a lot of people who have poor diets or live off of protein shakes and health bars also have a high protein count.

So with a lot of patience and observing. Those who work for Dr. Drake are scattered about, they report their findings when they suspect someone of being a Wereling. When Dr. Drake takes an interest on a subject they are followed and watch for a course of a few days, a few weeks to even up to a year! All this without a person even knowing that they are being watched. Eventually when his interest dies off the Watchers then move onto the next target.

When he is utterly sure that the person is a Wereling a order is given out to remove the person and take them to a new location. In other words a new team is sent in to abduct the potential Wereling. Many people have been kidnapped by this group and its rare for any of them to return home alive. It all depends if they have the gene or not. Most don't live through the process.

Terms:

  • Watchers:
People who blend in and observe you without you knowing. They can be a neighbor, a teacher, a person who works at your favorite coffee shop and so on. Their only job is to watch and report nothing more.
  • Werelings:
People who are born with a special gene that allows them to turn into a wolf. But without the help of a serum that Dr. Drake has created to activate that gene go through life without knowing the possibilities. When shifting from human to wolf it a quick simple transformation, the first time it is quite painful but after that the pain lessens and goes unnoticed. When transforming from wolf to human it feels as though you are stretching. Also, when you turn from wolf to human you have your clothes on. Which might seem quite unusual but be thoughtful it weren't the other alternative.
*When in wolf form we can communicate through thought not only among ourselves but with other animals as well. Sometimes we can communicate this way in our human forms too, either by accident or by hard concentration overtime it becomes easier. Another thing while in wolf form we can see in color!!*
  • Cobalt Island:
A hidden island out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Owned and ran by Dr. Drake Palmer. Other than him a selected group of people know of it's location. The island isn't printed on any map for various reasons. and despite it large size it goes missed. Few people of which call the island home, some leave the island for a short while then return as if traveling for work. Eventually we will too call this place home... if escaping proves impossible. Terrain is similar to Yellowstone National Park's. Wildlife is also similar besides a few hybrids that Dr. Drake and his fellow scientists created to pass the time away but also to give the Werelings a challenge during their stay. Anyone else who stumbles onto the island are removed by force if that proves ineffective they too go missing.

Creature Feature List:
  • Project-P13 (aka Grim):
Is a highly aggressive and unpredictable genetically enhanced grizzly bear. He is double the size of any regular grizzly, his face and other parts of his body are heavily scared either from experiments or from fighting. He is the only bear on the island, he has killed all others for saw them as weak lumps of meat. Grim has a crock jaw, from an old injured healing incorrectly. His fur is also black making him to be able to hide in the shadows much easier. His left eye is partially blind also from another injury. Grim also a taste for humans. He often wonders the island looking for them. Despite claiming the island completely his he chooses to mostly to stay at the west region, in a bit of forest which is known The Deadly Trees. Reason for this is because no animal lives within the area and any that wonder in or around it are quickly killed by Grim. Also, since Grim has a taste for humans Dr. Drake tends to feed the unwanted visitors to Grim. Often taking them to Grim's domain. You'll find scattered bones in and around his cave. Best thing to do when you come across Grim is to run! And hope that he doesn't track you down.

I stared intensely at the classroom clock hoping for the bell to ring. It was the last class of the day, it was Friday and I wanted to head home. This week has been brutal. There's been nothing best tests and pop quizzes in nearly every class period. Not to mention I kinda picked a fight with Hank Freedmen, the school's number one punk. It was bound to happen... we tend to go at it on a weekly bases. It all started with him tossing my lab partner into the outside pool two days ago. I would have just helped the guy out the pool and ignore Hank if it wasn't nearly under twenty degrees outside. I pulled Cody out of the pool before slamming my fist into Hank's jaw. Luckily, one of the teachers witness everything so I got off easy. Cody has been home sick since then. And Hank ended up being suspended for a day. I wish it would have been longer but with him being also the number one athlete they took it easy on him.

Hank then had one of his goons give a me message. On how he is going beat me black and blue after school on Friday. Hence why I want to get out of here soon I could. I normally would have taken Hank on like I usually do but if my grandpa gets another call from the school not only will I get an ear full but I will be cleaning out the pig pins for a month!! He knows I can't stand the smells of pigs... especially their scat. All scat is horrible but... I shuddered at the thought.

I clutched to my bag until the bell finally rang and a moment too soon. Hank just walked into the class room he still had a pretty decent bruise right near his chin. The expression on his face made him look like the Hulk ready to smash. Everyone were all googled eyed waiting to see what would happen. Even the homeroom teacher just stared. To piss him off even more I gave him a snarky smile before waving bye. Luckily I sit near the window in the classroom which happens to be on the first floor. I quickly opened it and slipped out before Hank could react. Hank spouted some swear words and how he would hunt me down and some other things before his voiced faded away the further I got away.

I slowed my pace down to a walk soon I reached outside the school's gate. I took a few glances back to be sure I wasn't followed. When I saw no one I then made my way down a several blocks. Fridays were the only days I could spend time in town until late. Grandpa is strict that way. But he a good point to everything. So I don't hold it against him. I tend to roam around until I see something of interest. Sometimes I'll catch movie depending what is playing, usually before I tend to order large pizza for myself so I wouldn't have to spend roughly $15 on two items at the theaters. But today I choose to head over to the library. Normally I wouldn't but I had a few books that needed to be returned. Also, if Hank was still after me still to this point I knew he wouldn't think to find me there.

The streets were crammed full of traffic. People were in a rush. So getting to the library took forever since it was a forty-five minute walk from the school. But it took longer do to waiting at several cross walks. It didn't help that its around thirty degrees outside. This is the warmest it has been in many days. Though I wore warm enough clothes it was still quite cold. Especially when standing still for too long will cause one to freeze.

All the while I felt as though I was being followed. It would have been just me being paranoid. With you know who is looking to ring my neck. And yet this feeling... the feeling that I am having is different. The feeling made the hair on the back of my stand on end. Once in a while I would take a look around hoping to catch a glimpse to what would be causing it. But I saw nothing. Just people trying to hurry off off to the next warm building, even if its not the one they were planning on going into at the moment. I tired to brush off the odd feeling but it crept right back up. That was when I knew I had to do something about it. I started to run.

((*sorry for the rush job on this first reply, I didn't want to make too long or too short also I have a head cold so my thinking process isn't all that perfect either.... anyways I hope that you like!!*))

I close my eyes, feeling incredibly tired. It's the last period of the day, and I'm already exhausted. Sighing, I try to wake myself up. At least after this I get to go home. Looking at the clock ticking slowly by, I can't wait for the bell to finally ring. Karrie elbows me, trying to get me to listen to the teacher, but I'm too tired to even think. I just glare at her, and she flashes me a cheeky grin. Sighing softly, I shake my head. That cheeky girl. First she makes me stay up all night, then she wakes me up too early, and now she won't let me daydream.

"Stay awake! Mr Cullen is scary!" she whispers in my ear. I smirk. Yes, Mr Cullen was a scary guy, with his jet black hair, and cold blue eyes. Not to mention that long scar that runs down his left eye. He's real bulky too! I mean bulky, as in weightlifter bulky. He's huge, yet he is our English teacher. Wouldn't a guy like that be better off as our PE teacher? I mean, seriously! That dude is ripped!

I look at my best friend, her light grey eyes, and golden hair that's really curly and untameable. She looks like an angel, yet she acts like the devil's mistress! "How am I friends with you...?" I mutter to myself. Unfortunately, I had caught the attention of Mr Cullen, and he glared at me.

"Miss Smith, are you paying attention?" he asks icily.

"U-Um..." I blush a bright red. "Y-yeah..." He raises an eyebrow at me, not really believing me.

"Oh really? Then what was I talking about just five minutes ago?" he asks.

"T-that..." Just then, the bell rang, and the air comes rushing out of me, as I deflate in relief.

"Saved by the bell, it seems, Miss Smith. Alright. I want you all to read 10 chapters of this book this weekend, and write a summary for each chapter you read. See you all next week." He slams the book closed, and leaves the classroom.

"That was close!" I moan out, as Karrie burst out laughing. "It's not funny!" I whine.

"I-I'm sorry..." She continues to laugh. "B-but it was! I-it was so funny!" Scowling at her, I grab my books, and head to my locker, ignoring her completely. Her eyes widen, and she follows after me. "Esmee! I'm sorry!" she calls out. I ignore her. "Please forgive me! I'll give you all of my desserts for a week!"

"A month."

"A.." I raise an eyebrow, leaning against my locker, my arms crossed against my chest. "Urg! Fine. You get my desserts for a month." I smile sweetly.

"Thanks, hon! Now let's go home." She nods, grabs her bag out of her locker, and we head out of school. The home we live in is only a 5 minute walk, so we walk to and from school. The hairs on my skin suddenly stand up, and I shiver, looking around. It felt like someone was watching me.

"What's wrong, Esmee?" Karrie asks.

"Nothing," I say, shaking my head. "Nothing at all." I try to forget about it, but I just can't shake the feeling still.

I ran right passed the library without thinking. I thought about doubling back but every time I turned around to go back something told me to go the other way. So I kept pressing forward. Running away like a coward isn't something I like to do. But this feeling... I know I had felt it before. It meant danger. A red flag.

It was starting to get dark, it was nearly six o'clock now. Around this time of year it gets dark fast and stays dark until about eight in the morning. I could feel the temperature dropping as well. The last bus home leaves in ten minutes and I am no where near a bus stop. Grandpa would most likely come get me if I give him a call, or he might tell me I should have paid attention to the time and now would have to walk home. He's funny that way. Either he'll give in and help let you go through a life lesson.

I could have ran a few more blocks, but the area was slick with ice. I finally slowed into a walking pace do to nearly slipping face first into a light pole. The streets were almost cleared of people now. Just a handful were walking. Everyone else were either in a car or warm someplace.

My stomach rumbled with hunger. My fingers were numb from being cold. My legs felt like jelly from running nearly thirty minutes. I halted in my tracks to take a look around. There was a coffee shop just across the street from where I stood. Should I? Or should I just head home? With me feeling hungry and cold the question was obvious. One quick cup of hot chocolate and a deli sandwich before heading out again. The feeling was still lingering but with how I am feeling myself I ignored it.

Glancing both ways making sure no cars were coming I started to jay walk. The coffee shop was coming closer into view when it happened. I heard a roaring sound of a car coming my way. The driver had their high beams on which were blinding. I tried to dart forward before it rammed into me. I was a second too late. It side swiped me knocking down to the ground. The car slammed onto its brakes just moments after. Even though I was nicked the impact knocked the wind out of me. I gasped a times before I released I still could breath. My right arm hurt, and my head throbbed from being thrown a few feet. I tried to stand up but it made the throbbing worse. So I knelt down hoping to get my bearings again.

Two people came jumping out of the car just now. I glanced around to see if anyone else was around there was no one. There were a few people in the coffee on looking trying to see what had happened. The two who just had gotten out of the car were now approaching rather quickly. The feeling that I have flared up like a dried up Christmas tree when being burned in the burn pile after the holidays were over. I wanted to ran but even with all my might I stumbled back to the ground. My vision started to fade out do to pushing myself in the state I am in. The last thing that I remembered happening was that I was being dragged off into the car before passing out completely.

As we walk along the street, chatting about boys, fashion and Mr Cullen, I still can't get that weird feeling that I'm being watched. I look around, but because the place is so busy, it's hard to pinpoint who it is that might be watching me. "Karrie, do you feel like someone's watching you?" I ask. She blinks.

"No. Are you feeling alright? How are you supposed to feel whether someone's watching you or not?" I shrug.

"Probably my imagination or something, but I feel like someone's creepily stalking us."

"Let's get home as quickly as we can then," Karrie smiles. I nod in response, but don't stop looking around. I hear footsteps behind us, and stiffen. The creepy feeling is growing stronger for some reason. I try to act casually and normally, and I hope it's working for Karrie's sake. I'm never wrong, but I believe whoever's watching, is dangerous; very dangerous.

A hand touches my shoulder, and it takes everything in me not to jump, squeal or flinch. I slowly turn my head to look at the person touching me. Even the touch felt creepy. I notice a pretty hot guy. "Hey, sweetheart. I saw you just yesterday walking along this road with your friend here, and I kinda fell in love at first sight." He grins at me.

I frown and purse my lips, pulling away from him, and standing my ground, my arms crossed against my chest. Karrie turns to watch what I do. "And what does that have anything to do with me?" I ask coldly. His grin was creepy. Everything about him screamed 'creep' and 'danger'.

"Well sweetheart, I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me."

Before I could say anything, Karrie screams "Yes!" Scowling at Karrie, I shake my head.

"I'm sorry, but I d-" I'm cut off with her hand covering my mouth.

"She will go with you. Like now. Right now." She shoves me at the guy, and backs away. "See you later, Essie! Tell me what happens tonight!" My jaw drops, as I watch her sprint away after winking and mouthing 'he's hot.'

I sigh, running a hand through my hair. His grip on me turns bruising. "Come with me, if you want your friend to live," he whispers in my ear. I freeze, feeling terrified now. I follow him, as he leads me into an alley. I feel a prick in my neck, before the world suddenly turns black.

I wasn't sure how long I have been unconscious for, but for a while now I do know this. I was completely unaware of anything. I felt nothing, smelt nothing and I couldn't hear a thing other my voice in the back of head. I didn't even dream. All I saw was pure darkness.

Slowly but surely my senses were starting to return. My numb body was starting to gain feeling again. Underneath me is a cold hard surface. The coldness sent a chill through my body but I wasn't able to do much about. Despite being able to feel I oddly enough couldn't move. Expect for a finger or two. I also noticed how stiff and sore I was. Either it was from being hit by a car or laying still for too long. It is possible my soreness is coming from both reasons.

My hearing and sense of smell also began to work again. The area I am in smelt musty and stale. I can hear a light wind blowing through a tight window or air way, once in a while there be a soft whistling sound has the wind pushed through. The wind wasn't the only thing I was hearing. A shuffling sound. As if somebody was moving around quietly but loud enough to be heard.

Knowing that there is another person besides me I could feel myself starting to stir awake. My eyes were in complete shock after spending a long while seeing the back of my eyelids then seeing light again. Blinding my vision. I blinked a few times until my eyes adjusted. Things were still a bit hazy. But at least I am awake now. For if I would have stayed the way I was I probably wouldn't have woken up at all or at least not for a little longer while anyway. I just hope who ever is nearby is a friendly and not an unfriendly.

Fingers crossed!... well I wish that I could cross my fingers. My body has yet to become fully mobile. So I'll be holding my breath then.

My eyes open. Everything's blurry at first, my mind groggy. Where am I? I wonder. What am I doing here? Why does my head hurt so much? I hear voices in the distance, but I'm still too groggy to hear anything. I make out a few words here and there, but my mind's still a mess, and I feel so dizzy. I want to throw up.

Mumbling something that seems so jumbled to me, I throw up, leaning on my side. Returning to lying on my back, I groan, as the shouting grows louder. "Shut up," I mumble. "Too loud... Stop talking, Karrie." But none of the voices sound like Karrie's. Where's Karrie? What happened? It's too tiring to think, so I go under the waves, the sounds getting lower and muddled up, as if I were underwater. I black out once more.

When I come too a second time, my mind is still groggy, but not as badly as before. Now there's silence. Where am I? I wonder for the second time. Too tired to think still, I black out again. This continues to happen for another two times, before I finally wake up, my mind not groggy at all. I open my eyes, but it's dark. I can barely see anything. I sit up, groaning. "Where am I?" I ask aloud, looking around, trying to peer into the darkness.

The place smelt musty and stale. It smelt old and damp. Not a place I would usually be in. As I try to remember what happened, it slowly returns to me. "Damnit!" I cry. "What the hell did that dude do to me? I knew he was creepy! How dare he kidnap me!" I start ranting and raving to myself, trying to figure out why this has happened to me, all the while hoping Karrie was alright.

Whoever was here is no longer in the room. By the time my vision became clear they were gone. With nothing else to do I stared up at the dim yellow light above me. The light swayed almost mesmerizing until I realized it was swaying. How can a light be swaying? How odd... curious I figured it was about time for me to attempt to get up. Despite how sluggish and sore I felt. I didn't have the patience to take it slow. I need to find out where this is. Who abducted me. And why. And not only that if there is any means of escape.

I figured since I've been laying here for roughly thirty minutes awake I could probably move more than just a few fingers. Clutching my teeth I firmly pushed myself upward. Immediately my muscles flared up in pain. I flinched from the intense feeling. I was about to let out a groan but I caught in my in the back of throat before it slipped out. I didn't want to attract any attention to myself. My head also throbbed a bit and felt light headed from sitting up so fast but after a moment the feeling slowly faded away.

Now that I was in sitting position I had a better look around the room. It was small, the walls and floors were made out of metal, and there was one round window but part of is broken off. No wonder I could hear wind being pushed through a tight spot. It was coming from there. I glanced behind me, there was a metal door. For a second I felt like this was my chance! Until I noticed that something was missing. The handle.

A door without a handle, a small prison like room... this ain't good. Not good at all.

Anxiety and panic started to overwhelm my senses soon I realized that there was no way out. The window is too small for a normal sized person to fit through. If I were five I could have. I found myself standing up now. Pacing around the room. Slurring some curse words under my breath. I happened to glance out the window a few times but it didn't register to me until I froze in place. I stood before the window peering wide eyed toward the horizon. There is no mistaking to what I am seeing. The open ocean! I am freakin' boat! Explains the swaying light! I gritted my teeth in frustration.

All the while someone opening the door and walking in. Sensing a presence behind me both of my knuckles turned white as I gripped them tightly into firm fists. I whirled around hoping to land the first blow but this person was quick. He stopped my punch the second I threw it. He then pinned both of my arms behind me painfully and effortlessly.

"That was a good try!" The man started to say. By the way he talked he was definitely American. But he had a slight accent as if he spoke another language other than English. "But a waste of energy. Before you start saying anything get movin' it's time to say hi to you new roommate!"

And with that he pushed me towards the doorway. I tried to fight him and pull away but with how he had a hold of me there was no breaking free. I wanted to yell at him too and yet nothing wanted to come out beside grunts and groans. Every time I twisted a different way pain shot through my shoulders and several parts of my arms. We were out in the hall now. There was one other person in hall but he too busy playing solitaire that he hardly flinched our way.

I capture nudged me forward. We walked just a few feet down the hall passed six set of doors before stopping at the seventh. "Now be nice to your new roomy. Get to know each other for you'll be spending a lot time together." He exclaimed. "I suggest that you get some rest, for who knows what is awaiting you once we get to shore. See you in a few hours!" And with that he pushed me into my new room. I stumbled so hard that I nearly face planted into back wall. The door slammed shut quickly.

I bolted up to the door and gave it a quick kick with the bottom of my foot letting a loud roar as I did so. I stood there huffing and puffing before taking in a few deep breaths. Once I had calmed myself I figured to say hi to whoever I am forcefully roomed with and maybe apologize for my outburst...

I turned around to face my new roommate. My jaw nearly dropped from surprise but I clutched it shut. I stretched the top of my head in wonder, thankfully my beanie was still on my head... my scars might scared the girl even more. I could hardly till by the poor lighting in the room but she looked awfully pale, and out of sorts. She was around my age that I did know. Not knowing what kinda of state she was in I didn't want to approach her. Though my gut told me to see if she were alright. But I didn't want to scare her either.

I choose to side up against the wall across from her. This way I didn't put her on high alert if I came any closer. I had one leg stretched out and the other propped up so I could rest an arm on top of it. The room we are in was so small if I laid down in the middle of the floor I could touch one wall with my head and my feet on another. I am second guessing here, but the room does seem about that small. This room smelt musty and stale as well, and there was another smell in here I noticed... human throw up. But I acted as if I didn't notice. I wonder if this girl has the back case of motion sickness?

I sighed trying to figure out what to say. Then I finally decided to stop thinking about it and go ahead and just say something so the awkward silence could be broken. even if it were just for the moment.

"I'm Kale. I know that you probably trust me right now but just to let you know I am no threat to you." I started to say calmly and as well as seriously to get my point across. "Are you feeling alright? For you don't look like you do?" I asked hoping to get an answer from her. If she can reply I know that she'll be fine also maybe just maybe we can get to know each other since I guess we are paired with one another. That's if she is well enough to talk.

After a while, I calm down and sit. I needed to think of a way to escape. I can’t be irrational. I need to be as calm as I can. Taking deep breaths, I decide to try to meditate like Karrie’s mother always suggested. She always said I was too...aggressive. “I hope you’re alright, Karrie,” I whisper to myself, a few tears escaping.

I wipe the tears from my eyes. I can’t cry now. I need to stay strong. I look around the room to see if there are any cameras. I’ve watched so many spy movies I was always suspicious of everything. Spy movies are my favourite. I don’t want anyone watching my every move, so the most logical thing is to look for cameras, right?

I begin to scour the room. It’s a horrible place to be, don’t you think? Sighing, I move closer to the door, and try to listen out of it. Before, I could swear I heard voices, but if that’s true, that means there must be someone outside, or people entered the room.

Eventually I move away from the door, and lean against the wall again. I decide to wait. My stomach grumbles, but I don't think about it. When I eat, I need a lot of food to keep my energy, but it seems I haven't had any food in a long time, so I'm feeling incredibly sleepy from the lack of energy. I wait, and wait, and wait.

I hear movement outside. The sound of the doorknob turning. I keep my head down, my hair covering my face. I had taking it out of the ponytail it was in. It looked like I was sleeping. "I suggest that you get some rest, for who knows what is awaiting you once we get to shore. See you in a few hours!" I hear someone being pushed in. They stumble into the room, and the door slams shut.

I watch as the figure sits across from me, and I clench my teeth at the sight of a boy. I watch him silently. He finally breaks the silence. "I'm Kale. I know that you probably trust me right now but just to let you know I am no threat to you." I just watch him. "Are you feeling alright? For you don't look like you do?"

I break my silence. "I'm Esmee," I say quietly. "I'm feeling alright, but I wasn't before when I woke up from the drug they gave me. It took a while for me to recover. What happened to you?"

"Esmee?" I repeated her name aloud without thinking. It was an unusual name that it just slipped out.

Awkward silence between us again. I quietly tapped my index finger on my knee as I thought on how to answer her question. Though nothing came to mind at first.

"So they drugged you huh? At least you had it easier... other than getting sick afterwards. They weren't so settle with me." As I was telling her this I happened to recall being hit on the side. I left part of my shirt. Revealing a huge bruise. I actually didn't know the full extent of it. The bruise covered most of my right side, with the lighting it looked pretty dark. Hopefully there wasn't any internal bleeding... I dropped my shirt back down before continuing. "I guess running me over with a car was the best option." I said annoyingly.

After explaining thoughts rushed to my mind wondering how grandpa was holding up. What was he thinking... I hope he didn't think I just up left him. Or did they leave him a ransom note. Whatever the case I just hope that he's doing alright. I tried not to show how worried I was but the way Esmee was staring told me other wise... or she was concerned bout the fact I was hit by a car.

((*Sorry for the short reply... I was up late night watching my brother playing football. The game was out of town and we didn't get home until after 1:00 am.... and I didn't sleep... couldn't sleep... so my mind is drawing a blank*)) o_O;

Listening to how they had run Kale over with a car shocked me. How could someone do something so horrible? I stare at Kale, as I think about everything he told me. He seems like a good guy. Maybe we could work together in getting out, but first, I need to see if he's alright. Pursing my lips, I slowly crawl over to him, and sit beside him.

"Can you life up your shirt?" I ask, before blushing. "That didn't sound right... Um...My mom's a doctor, so I know a bit about bruises, internal bleeding, broken bones and such..." The blush on my cheeks darken, as I look away, wrapping my arms around my legs, holding them close to my chest. Hiding behind my hair, I peer at him, wondering what his answer would be.

The thought of my parents suddenly made me miss them. They were so supportive when I wanted to go to school with Karrie. I wonder what they're thinking? Are they stressing about the fact that I'm missing? Did Karrie's parents tell them I'd gone missing? I hadn't spoken with my parents for a few weeks now, since I was so busy with school, and I'm regretting it. I wish I spoke with them this week. At least I would've known if they were alright or not.

I didn't expect Esmee to ask me to lift up my shirt again. Let alone that she had medical knowledge. I guess it helps being a doctors daughter. I shrugged seeing how it wouldn't do any harm for her to take a look. To make it easier for her to examine the bruising I took off my shirt without a second thought.

"Would it be easier for me to lay down or stay sitting up?" I asked flinging my shirt over my shoulder.

I didn't realize when I took my shirt off that my beanie had fallen off. Until it was too late. Her eyes widened and that's when I knew what had happened. I quickly searched for my beanie which I found tangled up in my shirt I decided to throw everything back on. The examination can take place another time. After that it was hard to make eye contact for I knew she would try to ask me questions, questions I very much would rather not answer.

A few seconds later the door swung open. The same guy who had thrown me in here came happily waltzing in. "Hello, again." He began saying rubbing his hand together like the little insect that he is. Now that I good view of him he a few inches taller than me, he had a military hair cut, and he was sturdier built than I was. If I didn't hate his guts I would suggested that he was rather good looking for a middle aged man. "Guess what!? You guys have a one way helicopter ride to the island waiting for you up on deck! My boss found shipping you two by boat was taking far too long so he sent his chopper to retrieve you. Anyhow I just happy that I don't have to babysit you any longer so let's get going!" He said gesturing us to leave the room impatiently.

No wonder he is such high spirits. He is glad to get rid of us. And did he just say we're headed to an island?! Just my luck...

I reluctantly stood to my feet. As I walked passed mister happy clown I gave him a stern look. He just grinned without a care. Out in the hall were two other men. Both were armed and dressed in black op type clothing. I eye at their automatics with wary eyes. They remind me of the rifle that always sat near the front door at home but this was different. The rifle is meant for pesky predators trying to take off with life stock. These two are armed for another purpose. And I don't intend on pissing them off just to give them a good enough excuse to shot me.

We were then lead a down the hallway, we took a few lefts and a right before coming to a stairwell. We went up the stairwell which lead us outside. Soon the door had opened my eyes were blinded, I brought a hand up to shield my eyes from the bright sun. I was happy to see daylight again but I was more eager about taking in a deep breath of fresh more than anything. The ocean air smelt great. It had a calming effect on me though my nerves were still quite jumpy.

And if I weren't mistake from what I can tell the ship that we are on is a small cargo ship. There were grates stacked on either end. A crane sitting towards the back away from everything. Other than human trafficking I wondered what other illegal transports do theses people do.

Sure enough there was a a chopper sitting and waiting at the center of the ship. It was a small transport chopper. Big enough for four people it seemed. The chopper was ready for take off. Realizing that I had stopped to take in the sites I was nudged from behind to keep moving. We made our way to the chopper. We were told to duck our heads and so we did. The chopper was so loud I could hardly hear myself think. Before climbing onto the chopper I felt something prick the nab of my neck. Before I could turn around to see what it was I instantly slipped into nothingness. Into the dark once again!

I watched as he lifted his shirt, a bright blush on my cheeks. My eyes widen when I see what was under his beanie, not even listening to what he had asked me. How did he get all those scars? Despite them, he didn't seem scary at all. He just had a horrible past. I watched as he quickly tugged his shirt and beanie back on, not looking at me. As much as I wanted to ask him so many questions, I could see it in his eyes, that he didn't want to tell me. I didn't mind. We just met. It's not easy to trust someone, but I knew that I trusted him a lot more than the guys holding us captive.

I was about to say something, but the door swings open. Shutting my mouth, I swivel to see the man that had pushed Kale in. "Hello again." I watched as he rubbed his hands together, my eyes narrow. He seemed much too happy when entering. "Guess what!? You guys have a one way helicopter ride to the island waiting for you up on deck! My boss found shipping you two by boat was taking far too long so he sent his chopper to retrieve you. Anyhow I just happy that I don't have to babysit you any longer so let's get going!"

He gestures for us to leave the room, seeming impatient. Snorting, I rise to my feet. I didn't trust him, and I certainly didn't want to show him my back, but I guess there's nothing I can do about it. I walk after Kale, not really wanting to go first either. I glare at the man, as I walk past, hoping one day I might get heat vision like superman, so I can burn holes into his head. He really deserves it for helping kidnap us. Noticing that there were two other men outside in the hall, I quickly clung to Kale's shirt, not willing to part with him.

He's the first person I was hoping to be my friend. I didn't want to lose him anytime soon. I eyed their weapons with distaste. Seriously? They need to be armed to go up against a teenage boy and girl? I snort at the thought of them being too weak to take us out without the need of weapons. We were then lead a down the hallway, we took a few lefts and a right before coming to a stairwell. We went up the stairwell which lead us outside. Soon the door had opened my eyes were blinded, so I just close them, allowing Kale to lead me to where we need to go.

I loved the feeling of the sun basking my skin once more. Taking in a deep breath of fresh air, I could gather that we were by the ocean. It had a calming effect. I have always loved the ocean. Slowly I open my eyes. The sun was still glaring bright, but not as bad as before. I scowl at the chopper sitting and waiting at the centre of the ship. It was small...big enough for four people it seemed. The chopper was ready for take off. I let Kale go first, like before, not liking how the man pushed us.

We made our way to the chopper. We were told to duck our heads and so we did. The chopper was so loud, I wanted to cover my ears, but at the same time, not let go of Kale. Waiting for Kale to climb in, I watch as a man sticks a needle into Kale's neck, rendering him unconscious before I could tell Kale. Seconds later, I feel a prick in my neck, and I fall into darkness, a cry leaving my lips.

I don't know how long I had been out, it felt like for only a short bit. My eyes fluttered open. Soon I was able to keep them open I jolted straight up. When I did so my head began to throb wildly. I held my head groaning for a moment until it passed. Once the throbbing subsided I stood to take a look around. It was obvious that I missed out on my first helicopter ride.

White walls. White lights. And a laser induced wall... wait what?! Am I in a sci-fi movie?!... I know I may sound unrealistic but... was I abducted by aliens? My head just took a 360 on that topic.

As I looked around I noticed that Esmee was laying nearby. I sighed in relief. At least she isn't off somewhere else. This way if someone... something does come at least I can protect her if need too. I don't want to tell her this but I think her noodle arms won't be able to defend her very well. If I told her this she may take it too personal. Maybe it would be best if I kept that comment to myself.

The room we are in smelt clean, as if it never been used until now. It was unnerving. At least it didn't smell like mold, rust and possibly urine. I glanced one more time over at the laser doorway slash prison bars then I walked up to Esmee. I knelt down beside her. She still out. Whatever drug they gave us must of have more effect on her than it did me. Just to be sure I need to see if she were still breathing.

I didn't want to seem like a perv but I glance down at her chest to if there were any movement. I grinned satisfied that she was at least breathing. And luckily she is asleep through this. Also, luckily I didn't have to practice CPR for the first time. Fun fact about me I do know CPR. I took a 6 hour course for extra credit, I have the card allowing me to preform first aide if need too.

Now that knew she was still breathing I was about to shake her shoulder gently. Hoping she would finally open her eyes. In the corner of my eye I saw a shadow of a figure standing just beyond the laser wall.

(*sorry for the late reply, real life got busy. But things have cold off and I am back to replying regular.*)

(I've been getting pretty busy myself...)

When I finally wake up, the bright room makes my head hurt. It was too bright for me to be waking up too. I groan loudly, blinking so that my eyes adjust to the lights quicker. Once my eyes had adjusted, I glance around the white room. It's too white!!! I hate so much white. If there was colour, it would be great, but white reminds me of the hospital, and I've always hated hospitals, even if my mother was a doctor. I moan in annoyance.

I then spot Kale, and smile at him warmly, as I slowly sit up. I wince. My head still hurts, and I feel really dizzy. They seriously can't keep rendering me unconscious with all those injections they give. I hate the feeling of a prick in my neck.

When I was about to confront the person standing on the other side of the laser wall Esmee groaned. I looked down at her happy that she was now waking up. I then glanced back up to command the person to tell us what the hell is going on and why are we here but whoever they were they are gone now. I then brought my focus back to Esmee. Her eyes fluttered open. She let out a few more groans. Her face a bit pale. Those drugs defiantly don't do her justice.

Feeling more comfortable that she'll be alright I decided to take another more thorough search of the room. I pushed off the ground but as soon I did so a sharp pain shot through my right side. I clutched it tightly then tumbled to a knee. I gritted my teeth unable to scream from the pain. Sweat roll of my face. The tension was too much. My vision started to fade out. Then the pain subsided. I could breath again. Shit... what happened.

My injury from being hot by the car might have gotten worse or I stretched wrong and the nerves got pinched and stressed out. I am just glad that it had ended. Slowly I stood back up making sure not to rush. The pain didn't return that's a relief. My consciousness remained that's a plus.

I proceeded with my to plan. I started my search at the back of the room. Seeing all this white is driving me crazy. I wonder all prisoners felt this way. I reached out and touched the wall. It was oddly warm. It was smooth. I rubbed my hand against it to see if there was anything, anything at all. I walked up and down a few times positioning my hand at different levels. Nothing. I moved from wall to wall avoiding the laser one, but I still found nothing. I was hoping that there were a hidden doorway.

I slouched up against one of the walls and sat down. My failed attempt took me roughly an hour. It felt like an hour. I'll try again later. Maybe I had missed something. Just then I happen to feel eyes staring me down. Not the intimidating types I am use too. But the more kind watchful type.

(Sorry for the late post. I have...three assignments due tomorrow.)

I watch, as Kale tries to find something on the walls, but after finding nothing, he sits back down. Feeling better, I sigh softly, and slowly crawl over to him. "We can get through this," I say tiredly. "We just need to trust each other." I gently rest my head against his shoulder. I know I can feel eyes on us, but at the moment, I don't really care.

"How's your ribs?" I ask quietly.

((It's okay, I had a lot going on too.))

Esmee quietly sat down next to me. Telling me that everything will be alright and that we will get through this. Also, that we needed to trust each other. I kinda feel like we do have some form of trust between us already. But we've only known each other for... a day I do believe. Half of me is still unsure and another part of me is telling me to trust her. I hate dealing with mixed feelings. It's confusing. So for now I am choosing to play it by ear.

As I was contemplating on a few things Esmee decided to rest her head on my shoulder. I jolted from surprise but then my body relaxed itself. At first I didn't know what to make of it. For this is a first for me. I took a peek at her face to see if she had fallen asleep by chance. No, she was a awake though she was starring off into the distance. She must be thinking about things as well.

For a moment or two everything was quiet. Then Esmee decided to ask me a question. My heart literately skipped a beat when the silence was all a sudden broken. Man why I am so jumpy!?

Esmee wanted to know how my ribs were feeling. To be honest I didn't have a clear answer. But what I felt a little bit ago was something for concern. The pain was bad enough for me not be able to breath properly and I nearly passed out. I looked down at Esmee face. Her eyes glued onto me waiting for a reply.

I gave a warm smile "I'm fine..." I started to say. In mid sentence I started to cough uncontrollably.

It was torture. The terrible pain on my right side returned. The coughing made it worse. I fell over wrapping my arms around chest. I then tasted metallic coming up. It spat out something red onto the floor just in front me as I continued to cough. After that my coughing ceased. But then I realized I couldn't breath. I started rasping in panic. My vision began to blur. The last thing that I saw was Esmee's worried face, her voice faded out as I drifted into nothingness. This seems to be happening to me a lot....

Dr. Drake sipped his coffee as he sat watching his new test subjects on the monitor. He was half surprised to how young they were. Normally the ones he orders his crew to bring in are over twenty. These two were nothing but pups. Also, what he found interesting was their calmness. Despite being held captive against their will they hardly showed any form of panic.

The pair seemed to be getting along, for now, despite only knowing each other for only a few hours. I grinned quietly to himself excited to see their development in the upcoming days. Then he noticed something odd about the male subject. Dr. Drake leaned in closer to the screen to see what was up. The boy collapsed to his side coughing up what looked to be blood. Dr. Drake let out a disappointed huff. Then he turned to his assistant.

"Send a medical team to cell #15. And make it quick! Also, find out who the two were who were suppose to pick up the boy yesterday. I need to have a word about what kind of method they had used in order to capture him." Dr. Drake commanded, his tone was calm but that calm sent a chill down his assistant's spine. He nodded before darting out the room.

Dr. Drake then relaxed back into his seat taking another sip of his coffee. Plotting on what to do with the two idiots who might have cost him a test subject. Also, if his medical team fails to save his life what punishment shall they receive. He also wondered if he should put the girl subject through some medical tests. Just in case she ends up like the boy. Simple tests to see how healthy and fit she was. MRI's are maybe in order as well as x-rays, blood tests, make her run on the treadmill. The works! He actually figured that would actually be for the best. Dr. Drake gave a quick call to his head examiner explaining the situation and what all needs to be done.

((I hope that this post can help move things along!)) :D

"I'm fine," he says. I look into his eyes, trying to see if he's lying, but he starts coughing uncontrollably.

"Kale!" I cry, grabbing him. My eyes widen in horror, as he starts coughing up blood. My face pales. "No, no, no..." I mutter, grabbing him, and pulling his head onto my lap. I can only watch, as he falls unconscious. Even though we only knew each other for maybe a day, I was still attached to him already. I don't want him to die. "I promise we'll get out of here. I promise we'll get back home. Just hold on, Kale."

Not long after I say that, the door burst open, and people in coats come pouring in. I glare at them. I didn't want to let them touch him, but I knew that if I did that, he might end up dying, so I let them take him out of my hands. Jumping to my feet, I grab one of them. "If he ends up dying, when I get out of here, I will kill you," I say in the most deadly voice I could. I watch him with narrow eyes, before releasing him.

I walk to the other end of the room, and sit back down, cross-legged. I'm not going to try to escape today. I'll wait for Kale to get better. Then I'll try. But before that, I'll plan, and bide my time.

((Since Kale is in surgery at the moment I am going to be Dr. Drake within this reply))

Dr. Drake skimmed through some paperwork out of boredom. Its been two hours since the male subject had been under the knife and there hasn't been report yet on his condition. The two men who were suppose to bring him in had been taken care of properly. If they would have followed him like they were suppose to then tranquilize him they would still be alive.

As he thought about the male subject he began to wonder about the girl.

She seems to be in good health. And now that he thinks about it his head examiner hasn't reported in yet either. Dr. Drake pressed the button to the intercom. "Miss Johnson can you come here please. He said half distracted.

Within that moment Miss Johnson came walking in through the doors. "Sir?" She asked.

"Where is Mr. Crane? I sent word to him to do a full exam on the new female subject, but he hasn't given me any news yet. Exams don't normally run this long." Dr. Drake said still in a distracted state.

"He's half way across the island sir. Taking samples like you had requested." Miss Johnson replied honestly. Dr. Drake looked up at her for a moment before waving her out. He remembers now. So that means he would have send someone else or preform the exam himself.

After ten minutes contemplating he decided to send someone else. He had too much paper to go through and some side projects he wanted to finish. He buzzed Miss Johnson to let Dr. Finch to do the exam. And also told her to have him to send the results to him directly. Dr. Drake doesn't want another unhealthy subject to look after.
