I'm trying to figure out my character. I'm thinking maybe a pragmatist, cynical P.I., a mix between a Hammett and a Lovecraft character.

Sophia stands at an average height with an average weight and possesses a soft musculature. Her skin bronze and she has a notable tattoo of a cat silhouette on her right shoulder. Sophia's brown eyes are often illuminated by a pleasant smile. Brown coiled hair cascades down to her shoulders and it feels just as soft as it looks. She takes very good care of herself and often wears makeup and light floral perfumes. Her ears are pierced and she often adorns her ears and body with whatever jewelry fits the mood. She comes off as friendly, confident, but also arrogant. Sophia can be very condescending when speaking.
I D E O L O G Y
Vanity and wealth dictate most of Sophia's choices. Sophia skipped lessons in humility, due to being born to a wealthy family and later acquiring her own fortune. She flaunts her status and wealth by adorning herself and her surroundings with expensive items. Still, she was raised in a strict Catholic household, so she possesses a rather religious edge to her ways-- often giving thanks to God for all that she has been given. Wildly hypocritical, Sophia preaches that one should love their neighbor in the same breath that she blames the homeless for their plight.
When it comes to having opinions about current societal issues, her feelings about issues boarder on extremism-- that is, if they benefit her in some way. Higher minimum wage? Yes, as long as she doesn't have to pay for it. Clean energy? Sure, as long as she doesn't have to pay for it. She takes an all or nothing opinion on most issues yet, she still somehow falls into a "centrist" political stance, mostly due to her varied opinions on subjects, and how easily she is to change her opinion. Oddly enough, her stance on military force and spending is one of the more notable extremes-- she believes the enemies of America should be destroyed and the cost is justified.

Sophia DeLaVega was born to two very famous and wealthy Brazilian Telenovela stars. She grew up privileged and free of the otherwise poverty stricken backstory most Brazilian children can make claim to. At the age of ten she was sent to an "Academy for the Queens" that turned out to be less of an etiquette and socialite school and more of a secret training organization for an all female new world order cult named the "Black Lioness." An extensive amount of hypnosis, combat training, and indoctrination was conducted on the children attending the Academy, dictating a rather detailed plan for how to spread the Black Lioness influence, bolster their ranks and standing, and a long-term plan for overthrowing governments, one nation at a time.
Fortunately for Brazil, a segment of The Division moved in and neutralized the Black Lioness academy, before they could begin their "baptism" of all the academy's children into the Void. Unfortunately, the children of the Black Lioness had been indoctrinated for nearly six years, and their twisted views of the world were not easily forgotten. Several became terrorists, formed smaller cults, committed suicide, but only one went on to become a "functional" member of society-- Sophia DeLaVega.
Naturally gifted with looks society found beautiful, Sophia used her family's connections to secure a modeling contract. At the age of Twenty Three, Sophia immigrated to the United States, where she made a living as an underwear and clothing model. While she's yet to find mainstream fame, Sophia is still a recognizable face to most readers of Women's Fashion magazines and the hundred-thousands of followers on her Instagram account. Eventually Sophia settled into a New York high-rise, the likes of which could put most mansions to shame.
But what of the Black Lioness training she received? While most of the ideals have fallen into her subconscious, so deeply that she simply believes they're part of who she is, Sophia never came to accept that the Void was anything positive in any way. One may be surprised at just how many fools trying to become "mystics" there are within the upper-class society. For the most part, Sophia tried not to get involved, but her training insisted that she destroy anyone that could be a threat to the Black Lioness agenda.
There is blood on her hands and she doesn't seek to clean them.

Hand-Gun Proficiency: Being the proud owner of a multitude of revolvers, pistols, and a shot gun, Sophia makes regular visits to the shooting range-- the urge is subconscious. Her favorite weapon is a .45 Auto Glock 41 and she does have a concealed carry permit. It's always on her person.a
Machete to Knife Proficiency: Trained to eliminate enemies in close quarters, Sophia is well versed in knife fighting techniques, and a Machete specific combat regimen. These skills, she still practices, because they're a very good cardio work out. Too bad she's a bit on the weaker side-- but that's what the blades compensate for.
"Storyteller": While it's not specifically combat oriented, Sophia's trained ability to be convincing, cool headed, and able to act out a variety of emotions, makes her rather proficient at lying through her teeth. She can lie so convincingly that most never see the blades or bullets coming-- she can also manage to wriggle her way out of a bad situation with her acting abilities.
