So instead of having a list of prepared spells, it would be more so that we have a set amount of mana, or whatever the magical energy of this universe is?

My posting is probably going to be limited this weekend, since I probably going to be staying with a friend. He has a computer and internet, though we are probably going to be doing stuff most of the day.

Cold, but not necessarily harsh at this time. It's probably a bit cloudy and, if Althea knows even a bit about weather in high mountain ranges, she will know to not trust it since mood swings at the weather in this kind of environment are kind of common. Also, I should add that the air is rarefied since the fort is somewhere high in the mountains.

But, if she doesn't strays too far, she'll not be in danger.

I'll try to have a post today to introduce @Skepic's character and continue the story. At must tomorrow, depending on inspiration issues.

Took me a while to get that post up, but here I am.

Anyway, this thing about changing the magic system, yeah?

Personally dig the way the powers are associated with a Vessel, so I'm fine with keeping it the way it is. Not exactly too sure on how you want to change to a more Vancian thing. By classic JRPG magic style, do you mean like, an MP-based system where casting something uses up some points, or like, you have a limited number of uses ala FF1? I'm not too clear on what would take the place of the current system, sorry.

So I owe you guys an apology and an explanation. Truth be told I shouldn't have joined the game when I did, things were getting fairly busy for me in real life since I was wrapping up college and heading home as well knowing this month of June was going to be extremely hectic for multiple reasons. As such I just didn't have the time I expected to have for this game and ended up dropping off the map so to speak. For that I'm extremely sorry and hope I didn't hold anything up. I should've informed you much earlier and that is my mistake.

That said, my schedule has finally cleared up for the coming months and if you're still willing to have me I'd love to find a place to insert Anne and properly join the game. Of course if things have filled up at this point, or my presence is no longer needed I completely understand and wish you guys the best of luck.

Once again I'm extremely sorry for any trouble my absence may have caused.

Your character will come in on the next post, as part of the escort of the officer who will be conducting the (surprise) troop review. Just leaving this for your knowledge.

@Onarax

While we would have appreciated a heads up, or even a simple note, that's not really a problem. RL stuff happens, after all. You can have Anne be already there with everyone since she was part of the group before that. It should be no problem.

Since I am going to be away for the weekend and this is something that my character would do, Finis is going to be around looking through public records and stuff to find out more information about the sergeant and see if any women died during a snowstorm in the local area or if there was reports of any bandits in the area.

By the way, if anyone who wants to reply next is free move us to the kitchen/mess hall if you want to (or at least move whoever wants to be moved). After all there's a nigh unattended scene there, since everyone pretty much gathered in only one place.

We will move on with the time skip and story proper once both scenes have been properly addressed.

That was Leblanc's plan once she finished dealing with the rowdier soldiers. Not she's affected by his harem aura, but it would be a nice distraction from the impending Review :3
