Oops. Sorry. Myst and I have been talking, so I forgot to be posting here.

@Fetzen and @rush99999, and @Cu Chulainn if you would like, Myst and I have a currently nameless team set up and we would like another partner or two or even three (though that may get tricky, I don't want to exclude anyone!), and we're looking for some creative team names, too.


I'd like to join the team :) Maybe my creativity will spring back to life on weekend when this week of hell is over.

@rush99999@Fetzen So there's a murderhobo dwarf and a dragon mage who want to sign up for Brass' team? Alright then. Me and @TaroAndSelia have been writing how our characters meet in PMs, bit by bit, but if you two wanna see it, then I'll compile what we currently have and post it in the IC for 'Freeplay'. Oh, and Taro (if I may call you that), don't worry about your original worry about the cost of resources. I have a plan that'll make sure that if it does come down to it costing something, Brass'll take the hit for Freya. He's a gentleman, after all.

@rush99999 Due to some things we didn't want to risk - such as the use of resources that could be needed later - and since Brass and Freya are (conceivably) the only two who'd be in that location. The latter one is my own belief, since I can't speak for Taro.

Alright! Good guys unite! Neutral guys unite, too! We'll even take the lawful and chaotic!

Here's the plan: when everyone is ready (tonight if we can) we send Myst in first to speak with the king. The rest of us will scatter for the side quests. Freya will help the elderly gentleman.

@Balthazar007 I'm planning on making a new character if that is fine with you. The reason being is my friend actually decided to opt out after all, and we had originally planned for our characters to have a certain dynamic. With him not participating, however, I feel like using an alternate character would fair better, if that is alright with you.

That's okay. Just PM me the new character proposal. When approved, you can edit over the top of your current Character entry.

I am terribly sorry! I've been slipping in and out of internet service since Thursday. Every time I think I'll have time to spend here, the internet has stopped working.

Connection allowing, I have a normal week and daily time. I'm ready to start the quest. Does anyone see any potential problems with being able to post every other day for the next week or two?

...is what I tried to say yesterday, but the internet cut out before I could post. Thursday night through Saturday night I'll have a good connection, I promise. Between then, I may find ten minute spurts.

I have came up with a new system that will allow for people to team up on any dice roll situations (unless the specific situation will not allow it). This new system is meant to provide a little bit of balancing for lone wolf characters, while at the same time realistic giving the advantage to coordinated efforts.

You can find this change in the "The Dice" section of the 0th post. It's actually been up for quite a while but I haven't pointed it out till just now.

The leader's stats will count fully to the situation. The stats of all supporters are halved before being applied.


"Could someone help me lift this heavy object?"

Sorry. I don't agree with you this time. While your logic is sound, mine is not totally flawed and serves a gaming purpose. That purpose is so that lone wolves or anyone outside of a current party don't get totally left in the dust.

You're not just lifting heavy things. You're fighting baddies and solving tasks that require skill. Someone has to take lead in any situation. For instance, someone would do the majority of the talking in a non battle situation or deal the most decisive blow in battle. I admit a half cut in stats is a bit dramatic, but it's also easy math.

If you come up with something that serves a similar function BESIDES, "Just make all quests consistently harder so that teaming up is the only realistic choice.", I am happy to listen. Otherwise this is the balancing system we're using for now.

Also, I'll need you to get the support of others behind your proposal, unless I absolutely love it myself.

Because of implementing a new inventory system, everyone's starting items and abilities are still being edited. In your favor for practically every case. Weapons are being valued as stronger and such. I will let everyone know exactly when I am done, but until then, here is a link to the document that I control:

This is where I am working on everyone's items/abilities, and this is what I'll use to keep up with your stats during our IC adventures.

All in all, I'll probably need a week or two to solidify and then simplify everything. My goal is to make all the game mechanics of this table top RP interesting and intuitive. Thank you for being patient.

Aaaah. Another Monday, another week to work and sweat for daily bread. How are all of you doing?

Side question, does anyone have a recommendation for a free-to-play MMORPG? I haven't kept up on releases for two years or so.
