Well finally done with my sample post phewww.
If anyone can spot where I got my inspiration I'll die lol
It is basically a copy of that scene with slight adjustments, but I just thought it fit her situation really well.

P.S, Nimue is actually great at keeping the peace, though these characters seem a bit high strung to put it nicely.


It's not perhaps inspired by Sam Niell's love interest?

@dreamingflowers I knew I knew the name "Nimue" from somewhere. In the Merlin TV movie with Sam Niell (where he played Merlin), Nimue was Merlin's lover, and she became so badly burned that she served out much of her life at a convent/temple.

Your Nimue was along these same lines, so I thought perhaps that was it.

Not to say that she's at all a copy. Nimue is a name just like Mark or Beth. And Merlin's Nimue was just a magicless broad in love with a wizard.

I've actually never watched that show, but I can totally see why you would think that.
Nimue is a name often used for the lady of the lake in Arthurian legend. Asherhah is a name of an ancient Goddess, meaning lady of the sea.
I wanted her to be connected to the sea for multiple reasons and have her name reflect that water theme.

@dreamingflowers I actually knew that was the name of the Lady of the Lake, but Arthurian legend has been recycled so many times (there was even a Lady of the Lake character in Merlin separate from Nimue) that I didn't think to make that association. It was both too obvious and too irrelevant.

The lady of the lake had many names and sometimes there were multiple ones. I'm not really an expert on the subjec though, I just liked the name for this character. The artwork was also called Nimue, so I just kept it.

Sorry guys for half a page of random chatter about my character's name hahaha

Well this active OOC shall soon become an active IC. I have been hard at work on it and am nearing a point where I feel confident in the theme of the opening. Just need to finish, polish, and post.

Oh, alright well in any case, it seems amazing! I am debating on creating one myself from an old storyline I wrote years ago. I just don't know where to start. :\ But ya'll have fun! I will just have to read what you all post. :D

@Holy Soldier ACCEPTED.

Post is nearly finished now as an FYI. I will probably wait until tomorrow to finish the beautification of it as it is starting to get late and I do have a full shift tomorrow morning. The good news is that it will be up no later than this time tomorrow!!!!

Excellent to hear Nariata, I'm happy to wait for it's perfection, haha! I'll be sure to make attempts to start writing as soon as I find it up. Course, I am a bit on the slow side.
