Most FRAMEs will be humanoid in a VOTOMS-y sort of way, but I imagine some companies produce designs that are a little more in line with Battletech's conventions.

Most will be around 8 meters tall or less.


Those ones I'm not particularly fond of, but I'll still keep an eye out and see what people throw into the mix.

Often the choices of the players in this sort of game with what they bring can determine the tone of the RP... just from what I've noticed.

@ArenaSnow He let me use a Mad Cat last time, making allowances in the lore for it to be an old, cheap, outdated model of mech that occupies landfills across the solar system. My character, being one of the better engineers in the crew, enjoyed cleaning it up and getting it back into working condition over the years.

Aristo also allowed mechs that transform into jets. That's not my style personally, but he's rather fair about the players bringing their own styles and ideas into the fold, being my point.

Fair enough. I might just bastardize an existing battlemech design.

A cursory look at your post history shows that it's been a month between your last project(s) and your interest here. Can I hold you to remaining active for an indefinite period of time while we work on the setting?

Unfortunately my only experience with the genre is an undying love for Transformers... which aren't the same thing as mechas. However, I am a huge fan of sci-fi, especially the medical aspects, so I've got that going for me.

Oh gosh. I remember this from way back when. I was actually thinking about how fun the combat and systems were a few days ago. If this restarts, I'd definitely want to take part.

This interests me so much I had to walk away while reading the into so I wouldn't die of excitement. I may be a new account but not a new player here, I have done some pretty deep wold building for roleplayes that have fell short for many of the same reasons, I would love to join in this RP, but my work life if pretty crazy with early morning shifts leaving me wasted, late night shifts pulling me away, and day shifts that postpone my ability to be active. If you can bare those things I would love to be in on this.
