Eh, I know. I'm just resistant to change - it's like, your friend walks over one day with a completely different face.

Also... a question that came into my mind. Could someone theoretically be sustained on ether? If there was no food or water that they could have.

@CollectorOfMystUm, I don't think they could. I basically see ether as magical blood, so no, people wouldn't just be able to survive on it alone.

@Lovejoy Thanks. It's just a thought that crossed my mind - since it's technically a form of energy. Obviously, it wouldn't keep you for very long, even if you could be sustained by it.

@CollectorOfMyst Can you live on just heat? Nope! So unless you work out a method conversion to something the cells can process...

Now, if you come across a species that "feeds" on magic (and I've written this sort of thing before, generally spirits who absorb ambient magic much the way plants absorb sunlight) then it'd be possible.

@shylarah I mean... the average human can only survive three hours in extreme conditions without shelter/heat moderation. Technically, that counts as living on heat.

@CollectorOfMyst yes but that's not all that sustains you. It's just conditions that interfere with normal operation. Sort of like getting shot in the head. The body does not /use/ heat, it /generates/ heat. Extreme heat causes various systems to shut down from damage. Extreme cold overtaxes the system, and it cannot produce enough heat to maintain suitable operating temperatures.

By the way! Scout and I are introducing a kind of graduation ball ceremony type thing that took place before Culmination in our collab. It involved dancing and drinking and dressing up, so uh, feel free to figure out what your characters did during that shindig, as it might come up again! >:)

Seems more logical that the solemn ceremony would precede the party, but hey, I do like the idea of a ball. And Ziotea likes the idea of an excuse for a dress. And I bet @Drakey's Rodion looks dapper in a suit~

The question is, do we go with a dress the color of flames, because screw you Seminary, or something either blue or green to contrast her hair?

I kind of view Culmination as like, graduation itself, with this ball being like, senior prom? I guess? I didn't go to my prom so I have no idea what happens at those things, but yeah. :p
