He took the pill bottle. "Mind having this be tested with a blood sample? I have a theory in mind, but. It's extremely unlikely that this could actually be the bottle in question. However, if we get a single sample from this. We could extremely easily rule it out as a possible agent that he was drugged with." He'd quickly scout around the area, looking around and mumbling to himself. Almost as if he was thinking about something that you couldn't quite comprehend.. Then, he started to dig through the trash-cans, out of all things? it was a pretty odd move for just having arrived there. emptying the place. "I'll probably find a few needles in here. it's clear that drugs and other illegal substances were used at this party. get ready to file a few reports by the end of this search, because i'm pretty sure we'll have more than one person in cuffs by the end of this investigation. Even if it's not for the crime that were investigating for... But, that doesn't matter. if someone broke the law, even if it's not what were investigating. it should still be properly handled."

"Not at all!" Ramirez exclaimed, taking the pill bottle from Charles as he set it into a plastic bag, ready to examine it for fingerprints and for blood. However, shockingly enough, Charles would have to do a bit of digging to find some needles towards the bottom of the trash, but would also find something towards the top of the trash can, a brooch that was smeared with a bit of blood. Other than the needles, he would also find some spare pills, a few bottles of alcohol, two large blue bottles of vodka and a bit of white powder at the top of the trash can. As he continued to search through the can, he would hear some faint laughing, before a man burst down the stairs, sliding down the banisters while he was dressed in a white suit and matching white and black hat! "Hah! It's a fine day to encounter a police officer such as yourself. The name's Zeus, Grimsborough's finest taxi driver, with my 100 kilometer guarantee! I'll go at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, or you'll get your money back!" He let out a hearty chuckle as he greeted Officer Ramirez once more.

"Ah, Zeus. It's excellent to see you've gotten out of.. that industry, in particular." He'd stare at Zeus, reminding him of his previous actions regarding the industrial district. "Anyways, your our witness to what occurred regarding his trip in a taxi. Correct?" Charles seemed to be a bit.. Dazed, in comparison to what he had been a few minutes ago. bagging the rest of the needles and substances, and saying "Send em down to the lab. It'll be tough work. but it has to be done, either way. Might as well get it all out of the way at once rather than prolong it sooner, right? Check the victims blood and see if any of the substances matches, or if any of the needles have the victim's blood on them. it should be a very easy thing to do once you get all of the separate types of needles and drugs organized. Although I can't be quite too sure on that, I never was good at the forensics aspect. I do know however the basics, but I do much better as a actual detective, out in the field."

Jackson arrives at the station, planning to chat with Detective Jones and to interrogate Kate to finish off his last few questions, including any new ones that might pop up from what he might learn from the conversation with Jones. Speaking of the man, Jackson has made his way to him, inside the interrogation room, with Kate on the other side. Jackson clears his throat to grab Jone's attention. "So that's Kate, right? Sorry about earlier. Right before we got to the elevator, I had to go take care of something. So what happened while I was away? Did you find anything else out from Greene and Kate?"

"That'd be quite right, Mr. Charles! There was one person in the taxi that day when I drove him, but he kept talking about a man when he was in the back seat! This man, this man by the name of Harry Krane was apparently a friend of his and he was set to be at this grand party tonight! I would have attended it if it wasn't for my work..." he made a pause as he glanced around the confetti strewn across the floor, "but he did tell me that he was going to be ingesting some heavy amounts of alcohol at this party. After that, I just let him out of my taxi after he paid the fare and I sped off." That would be all for Zeus' testimony, but as he completed this, Ramirez took all of the bagged needles and substances and took them to the station to be analyzed, as Grace would most likely get back to Charles with some information, being an expert in the subject.

Back at the station, Jones informed Jackson about what had happened in their case, as he gave him a spare Class 2 key-card that he had on hand from Greene's visit. He told him about how Kate had thrust-ed an umbrella at the victim and how that umbrella is currently being analyzed against the footage, alongside the new lead at Gecko Street Station. He informed him about how a samurai sword found at the casino might have been the murder weapon and finally, how there were some traces of facial cream on the sword. "It's a shame that our killer doesn't take their sanity as seriously as their hygiene!" Jones commented as he finished explaining the crime to Jackson. "Do you have any theories yet or do you want to get-" he was cut off as Alex, the tech analyst, ran up to Jones, telling him about his latest venture. "It actually wasn't that hard to find the guy. Once you cracked down on his Friend Net profile, all you had to do was just check his latest images on the site and voila! - I got his phone number. From there, I told him about his friend's death and told him to go to the stock market for some further questioning, so he should be at the entrance." "Well, it looks like Alex here has managed to track down Harry Krane, so it wouldn't hurt to talk to the victim's co-worker at the stock market, now, wouldn't it?" Jones inquired, walking down the hallway to get into his squad car.

Jackson follows Jones, nodding. "Yeah, that's a good idea. After this, I'm gonna talk to Kate for a little bit as well, so let's hurry."

He lets himself in the seat next to Jones in the squad car, and buckles in. "So what are you thinkin' of asking him?" He hangs his arm outside of the open window after shutting it.

"I can't be too sure, but I want to make sure that he has an alibi for when the crime occurred, Jackson. As for the evidence that I have on hand, I want to make sure that I get to see his stock trader's card and it wouldn't hurt to ask him about that party at Gecko Street Station to see if he attended it or not," Jones concluded as they continued to drive in his squad car, inching closer and closer to the stock market, where Harry Krane would await them.

"Anyways, thank you. I did a basic sweep of the place, could you have the others bag whatever is left on the scene? Anything that seems suspicious gets sent to the evidence locker, alright? For now, I did make a promise to meet up with my allies at the stock market. It was excellent seeing you both again, but I must hurry off as soon as possible. They are likely waiting for me there." He'd go out the door. "Oh... Wait, I can't leave until Zeus gets done with his testimony, of course. He's the one who drove me here, anyways." He'd relax by the cab, waiting for Zeus to get done with everything that he needed to before deciding to just hop into the cab. Opening a small locket for a few seconds, staring downwards at it then back at Zeus. "Get me to the stock market as soon as possible once you hope back in your car, I need to go and confront a suspect, and bring this madness of a case to a end. i think I know for a fact who did it.... but, I can't be sure if it was really her or not, sadly."

"There's no need to worry, I've said everything that I need to tell you!" Zeus replied as he walked towards the car, buckling himself in before letting Charles enter. He immediately slammed on the accelerator and sent the car speeding down several streets in the reverse order of what Charles saw just a few moments ago, as the vehicle narrowly missed several turns, but surely enough, managed to reach the stock market in a record-breaking time as Zeus intercepted another phone call. "Well, I gotta go take care of another client, but go get that killer, Charles!" Just as Charles would step out of the vehicle, Zeus would speed down the streets at his usual pace, putting his own life at risk as he sped off to pick up another stock trader. However, Charles would also have his phone number on hand, so he could call Zeus whenever he wanted to have him drive him around the city.

As for Jones and James, they were also approaching the stock market, getting out of their patrol car at around the same time as Charles left the taxi. And just as they did, they would come face to face with a man who couldn't be older than 30 with blonde hair and a black suit that was rather similar to the victim's. Underneath this suit, he wore a white dress shirt and a red tie, with a Rolex watch being equipped to his wrist. "You must be Officer Jones," the man told the advancing officers, as he faced David Jones. "I was told that my colleague had been murdered and that you were the one who found me out. In that case, I shall tell you everything that you wish to know."

He'd let out a sigh, for a second. Looking at Henry Crane with a bit of.. Distaste. not enough for him to notice, but enough for Jones to pick up Chris didn't like the vibes coming off from him. "Anyways, do you happen to know anything about what had occurred this night? Your late partner had a rather... Unfortunate death, per say. Did you see anything strange? Mainly from him and the people around him, of course. We don't wanna be chasing smoke and mirrors." He said in his most polite tone possible, trying not to come off as too hostile to this man. Despite his clear Suspicion on him already, which were.. Admittingly completely unwarranted, no evidence was even starting to point towards this man in particular. "Ah, do you happen to use facial Cream. By the way? I know, that question is completely out of left field. But listen, I can ensure you that it is extremely, EXTREMELY important to our investigation as a whole. You do not have to answer, but it would be highly appreciated.

"Unfortunately, I was only at the party with my friend that night. He did say something about going to the casino after the party, but I had my alcohol with my barbiturates and the rest of the night was just one big blur. Sorry about that, officers. I can tell you that although we partied together and made money together, having him out of the picture will reduce the amount of competition left until I make it to the top." "You're certainly piling it on rather harshly for your friend," Jones noted. "Shouldn't you have cared more for him?" "I don't think it in the slightest, he was just another "wonder-kid"," Harry continued, as he took out a small bottle of face cream. "So yes, I do use face cream, but it's only on rare occasions when I want to look ravishing for the higher-ups, I'm not wearing it right now. And you appear to have a seed stuck between your teeth, Detective Jones...would you care for some floss?" Jones was insulted by this man's remark and snapped, "Why, you...! Keep it up and you'll be the one who'll be stuck...behind bars!" That seemed to end Jones' line of questioning, but if Charles and James had any questions, they could ask him and he would answer them in this blunt manner.

He gave Jones a look to keep a eye on Harry, before going back over to where Kate had previously been, taking another taxi in order to reach the police station and walking into the interrogation room to question her. "Hey, we have a report that you were trying to break into an abandoned subway last night. Conveniently around the same time our victim was a little more than dead, if my account is correct. I think that's a bit more than just "Staying at the casino and having a uneventful night", no?" He'd look at her with a...pretty intimidating look, one that could strike fear into even the most hardened of sociopaths. It was like he had just had enough of this case already and wanted to put a close to it as soon as he physically can. "So, are you gonna give us answers or are we gonna have to get the exact documents to show you as proof? I mean, I could extremely easily do that if it's what you desire. However, I think it'd be much easier for everyone if you just ended up confessing the truth about what you REALLY had done that night. I think a fine is a bit of a big detail to leave out, don't you agree with me?"

"Aghh...what's the point," Kate sighed, before going forward with her confession. "I sell bottles of barbiturates and vodka to people up at the train station, since my boss hates me so much. She makes me floss every hour and forces me to work long hours at the casino on weekends, so I had no choice! But...fine, I spent most of my time during the beginning of my shift at the train station, selling some bottles that night. I know that I sold a blue bottle of vodka mixed with some heavy barbiturates to Sam and Harry, though and they even drank it from two shot glasses that I gave to them. The only person I took note of at the casino was Samuel because of his huge outburst and drunken misdemeanor, but I managed to push him out of the casino at around 8:20 PM. In the dead of night, I tried to head back to the train station, but all I managed to do was cut myself on a brooch before I was caught by Ramirez. That's...everything I can tell you." She passed Charles a list of all of the guests that she took note of that night, alongside a small slip of paper that she found by the body. "I found this when I called the police, but it seems to be mostly blank..." She was right, the paper had nothing written, except for some minor imprints on parts of the paper. Would Charles be smart enough to find a way to find out what was once written on the sheet of paper above this one?

Chapter 3:

At this point in time, Jones and James were still watching over Harry Krane, but Jones was walking around the general vicinity at the same time, checking his key-card and looking at a few doors...until Jones noted that one of the doors had some glass paneling that he could see through. Looking through, he could see some ripped papers and a few folders lying across a grey meeting table, which sparked his attention. "Hmm..." he thought, before deciding to wait on Charles to arrive, since he could use his expertise. However, as he continued to walk around the stock market, going back into the casino one final time, something huge caught his attention and made him jump! The samurai sword, the weapon that was used to kill Samuel, lay upon the floor, with its' blade covered in blood!

(You actually skipped the entire battle with her with your interrogation skills, nice work.)

You see him stare over at Jones for a few moments. 'Go and get that scanned. Alongside that, get this piece of paper to Forensics. It could hold extremely vital evidence. Use that... Err, thing. i forget what it's called, but its that restoration toolkit to try and salvage what was once on this message. use everything. UV Light, Restoration tools, I don't care. Just find a way to get the thing back to it's former state. Oh, and get that sword checked out too. If were to find anything on it that may lead us to the killer, it could be our decisive evidence. one last thing: This list, check it for any fake names. It shouldn't take too long, it should just be a quick database scan. Don't ask why, but I have a odd hunch if my theory is correct that things might go more than well for our investigation in the long run. However, we should go and check out the Dealing room." He'd wait a moment more, for anyone to say anything. before letting it drive off.

"Uh...actually, I've got some information for you!" Ramirez piped up, getting ready to give Charles a huge spiel of content. "First off, we actually checked the needles, but all we got were a bunch of random stock traders and no one else. The vodka bottles that we found are a match with what Kate claimed to have sold at the stock market and the ID Card has the victim's prints and a set of glove prints on it. What's interesting is that although one bottle contains some barbiturates, the other one doesn't. According to what Grace is telling me, the barbiturates are a fast acting depressant that would have lowered the activity in anyone's body at a very fast pace, while the powder that you found sprinkled on the trash can is a form of powdered barbiturate that would have done the trick. As for your paper...I think we have some carbon powder over in the back, so all we need to do is just sprinkle some on top and give it a blow." With that out of the way, a very tired Ramirez waved Charles on and let him leave the department, as Charles drove up to the stock market to search the dealing room.

With the sword safely deposited in the PD, Jones took a look at the dealing room, which had a large grey meeting table and some folders laid out upon the table. There was a company cellphone lying on one of the chairs alongside a folder that was ripped in half, while a few small stock tickers for Greene Corp lined the walls to help dealers understand how well the company was doing. When Charles reached this room, it looked like he would have quite an investigation ahead of him, but Jones started his own investigation by looking to see if there was any trace evidence left over before focusing on the bigger picture.

"Well. Greene did say that we had full access to his casino and permission to investigate anything that seemed off. So.. I assume we can easily search through these files without any real objection. " He'd start to organize the folder back together, the one that was ripped in half. 'Jones, search through the other ones. i'll work on restoration and the like, It should be pretty easy. Even if it would be a bit time consuming to reorganize all of these various pieces.." He'd realign as much as he possibly could with his current tools, trying to at least make the document decipherable. 'Hm.. Check around with the phone too. It may hold some valuable contents regarding the victim's stock movements. Which seems to be a centralized part of the case at this rate, considering Henry Crane's obvious motive for killing the victim being based around the stock trade. We just need to find something to nail him, and maybe it can be proven that he had committed the murder.

The document was fairly easy to fix, as the two pieces came together to reveal a rather important document, showing that Samuel Rye was actually about to sign a large document with Greene. The contract below the document showed a long list of legal jargon that Jones couldn't quite figure out, but it looked like Alden Greene hadn't signed it yet. As Jones searched through the other documents, he would find that the victim wasn't the only one who had a contract like this, as Harry Krane also had a document reserved just for him, featuring the same information save for his name being on the folder. "It sounds like Samuel was on the cusp of signing Greene as his client! This is HUGE! Alden said he wanted to see us because of the casino. BULLSHIT! He just wanted to keep track of the case to protect himself!" Jones exclaimed as he leafed through the other folder, before picking up the phone, which was locked with a 8 digit pass-code. "Eh, this seems to be a company phone, but do you think you could unlock it, Charles?"

"No, but considering this is a company smartphone. I'm sure that the Tech Department would've had to be the one to put the password on this thing. And guess who's in charge of the entire company, and could easily pull up these documents? I'll have him begging for mercy by the end." Charles sounded SUPER pissed now, more so than before. Going all the way over to the elevator. "You finish going through these files, and try a few codes out. for now, i'm gonna go and confront Greene on his lies." He'd press the button, the document still in his hand as the elevator began to go upwards. Once the elevator hit the top, he knocked on the door and entered briskly. putting both Henry Crane's and Samuel Ryes Document. 'Tell me, what is this. If you had NO CLUE on who Samuel Rye was? You were about to be his client, right when he mysteriously died. OH, and you held a potential motive from us with Henry's document too. You do realize the seriousness that withholding this information could bring, correct? I'm not the bad guy here, but you have to understand."

Jones tried a few codes out on the smartphone as he thought over any possible combinations, before trying to input Samuel Rye's ID Card number into the phone, seeing that it worked. From there, he had complete access to the vicitm's smartphone, scrolling through his text messages and photos to try to find something. The text messages were rather simplistic and basic, but as he scrolled up, Jones found some more interesting posts, such as several text messages from Alden Greene to two people, one of them being the victim and the other one being a random mess of letters and numbers, possibly someone who was trying to protect their identity. Jones pocketed this information as he continued to scroll through the phone's memory, finding no other leads. He could only wait until Charles descended from Greene's office and with their investigation complete, there was only one thing left to accomplish.

Charles had already pushed through the doors as Greene offered him another plate of drinks while Charles continued his tirade of questions against Alden Greene. "Well, you see..." Greene began after Charles was done speaking, "I apologize for not telling you, but these kinds of deals need to stay secret, otherwise I could risk losing big money. I needed a new stock trader, as that contract states and this stock trader was rather important, as they were going to manage the entirety of my business' stocks. In the end, it came down to Samuel Rye and Harry Krane, but I had to pick Sam, as he was by far the best. We were going to sign the contract today..." he continued, pulling out a copy of the contract from his desk, "but obviously things didn't go according to plan with Sam. I used a small program on my computer to monitor their progress and when I was done, I picked Sam because he made the most money." He took a sip from a glass of whiskey before setting it back down onto a specially made coaster.

"Fine, fine. Thank you for your time. However, we need to know everything. Is there anything else your withholding from us, perhaps?" He'd mumble something into his Radio. "Jones, i'll meet you back at the station. grab whatever you can that remains of note, and I'll be right there." He'd get upwards. "Here, if you think that you "Forgot" anything else. You can contact me from that number, I do hope you don't see this as too aggressive. However, you must understand why I care so much about little details like these. This may of been what I needed in order to prove someone guilty of their entire crime." He'd begin to leave after finishing his little monologue. for a detective from the industrial district, he sure had little to nothing to care for.. Just intimidating Greene like that without the slightest bit of hesitation to it, it was almost... Scary, in a sense. how little of a care he had facing off against someone as powerful as he was.
