Mikan standing at 5'2 with her wavy white hair and fair complexion is also buxom. As a product of bloodline marriage between the Hatake and Inuzuka clans, Mikan has a pointy nose and droopy eye shape, her eye is also colored grey portraying the overlapping genes of the Hatake and Inuzuka; her pure white hair is what stands out the most which seemingly makes her Hatake genome dominant. The clothes that Mikan wear are gray-scale, she is mostly seen sporting a variety clothes that are black or white and sometimes a mixture, in particular she wears fishnets in certain parts of her body. Although it looked like Mikan's Hatake genes are dominant, it isn't because both are balanced, she also have the elongated canine and the Hatake's beauty spot, a mole found in her cheek.

C H A R A C T E R I S A T I O N & P R E S T I G E

Mikan is a kindhearted girl with unmeasured energies and despite having such, she remains level headed. She is open minded and slow to anger, and keeps herself down to earth no matter what despite others inflating their ego; as a peacemaker, Mikan prefers words over violence and hates conflict, especially the modernism vs traditionalism topics which is a subject she refrains from, believing that it would lead to more conflict. Ever since the Hyuga Hideki incident, Mikan had been more cautious of her actions, causing her to mature at a young age all the while keeping her jolly personality which is now moderated considering she had been adopted to the main branch of the clan, Mikan grew in humility and shares the burdens of her clan so that she will never tarnish the name of the Hatake and the 10th Hokage, Hatake Futaba ever again. The scarred past she had with the Hyuga Clan still haunts Mikan today even though she had been forgiven, the pain is not forgotten- Mikan tries her best to move on. As a Shinobi, Mikan is a hardworking individual who is held with high regard by the Hatake Clan, having a peculiar skill set and being ranked as the #2 rookie of the year.

O R I G I N S T O R Y

The only child of Hatake Ichigo and Inuzuka Kyoko(Yari's aunt), Mikan is scarred forever for losing her parents during the Konoha Civil War, growing up without knowing them and leaving her under the 10th Hokage- Hatake Futaba's custody which turned out to be the better for her. Fortunately, Mikan has lived her life blessed and counts herself lucky since everything that a kid could want is provided by her clan; wealth, education, techniques, and shelter etc. Considering that Mikan is under the tutelage of Futaba who influenced her dearly, she grew up to be a disciplined and kind individual clad in humility whose drive is to inspire people.

Mikan's childhood was extremely bad because of her lack of discipline and inflated ego, she is attracted to trouble despite of Futaba's warnings, this causes her to be too overconfident of herself, but this all changed when she met a young Hyuga whose relationship continuously scars her to the present. During those times Mikan would spring into trouble by beating bullies and cause mayhem with the young Hyuga, Hideki who was once the apple of the Hyuga's eye; everyday they would motivate each other to exceed their skills as they were friendly sparring partners. When Hideki got a strict training regime, the amount of time that Mikan spent with him decreased drastically but still they find time for each other. One unexpected bad day, about two months after Hideki had started his Juken training, they ventured far out from the village, into the woods, on their way home, the young Hyuga noticed an old abandoned shack and pointed it out to Mikan and headed inside. All the two saw nothing but decayed furniture and anything that rots. Suddenly the ceiling fell, and had caused the unspeakable, Hideki was injured badly and Mikan wasted no time to get help but she was too late, that day made Mikan realize that life is precious and decided to never again act out on her selfish desires.

As years past in the academy Mikan made sure to abide by Futaba's disciplines and help others in need, she grew to be that of a class rep. yet rejected the position many times because it reminds her of the day that she lead Hideki to nearly lose his life. With the graduation growing closer, Mikan makes the effort to train as hard as Hideki now known as Ryusuke, the two continuously train together.

C H A R A C T E R D E V E L O P M E N T & C O N C E P T U A L I S A T I O N

Mikan is easily characterized as a 'hyperactive' (not too hyper) person whose energy never seems to decrease, she is full of enthusiasm and her kindness is contagious enough to melt the people's hearts! The Hatake Clan stands as one of the most fearsome and ruthless clans alongside the Uchiha and Shimura Clans in the village, many overlook the young lady's character. She is raised well by her clansmen to ensure that she grows to become not just a fine ninja but a person as a whole. Her kindness stems from her clan's discipline during her childhood and the pain of not having parents. Due to this, Mikan values life and the rules, she makes sure that her judgement are fair at all times.

If you think about it, there is always this one person in real life who shows kindness and high amounts of determination because they have experienced enough hardships that broke them in many ways and rarely angst about it, we often thought that they are hard to understand but that's because we are not looking in the bigger picture. Characters like Mikan are good at hiding their emotions, she is one of the antithesis characters that the typical Naruto I created since my mentor Inkarnate just made one and I thought why not make one as well? Another inspiration I had while creating Mikan is Yaoyorozu Momo from My Hero Academia, an intelligent and humble character.

Her views regarding traditionalism vs modernism are neutral. Mikan is the type who doesn't care about any of it, and doesn't want to meddle with. I want her to be a character who chooses and sticks with the good path, and while open minded and kind, shows backbone! She is after all a peacemaker and the #2 of his class. Apart from the ninja shenanigans that everybody does Mikan's goal is clear; to teach the people the right way of living with farming and livelihood, to a degree 'How to be a true Shinobi' which in this sense, Mikan has her own definition of ninja.

Do #1s and #2s really need to be rivals? I don't think so. After reading a few stories here and there, I am certain that Arata and Mikan won't bicker despite being respectively trained by a Hokage.

T A L E N T S

• Hatake Intuition/Jack of All Trades: The Hatake aren't one trick ponies but considering they are on par with the likes of the Uchiha and Senju clans in terms of having the knack for possessing a vast array of specialties. Although they don't entirely master the arts they pick, the Hatake innovate their own style and create their own techniques; making the clan one of the most dangerous in the village. Mikan is very much this, he relies on his intuition and learn on a situational basis and deliver splendid results by adapting- be it ninja or non ninja activities, Mikan like her clansmen never cease to prove their fast cognitive abilities which further emphasizes why she is the #2. Still Mikan has a long way to go despite being trained by the 10th Hokage, she still hones her skills on a daily basis.

• Hatake Style Techniques: Famed for their unusual white chakra, the Hatake in the ancient times utilize their blade for agriculture. The one blade style of the Hatake is fabled for cutting air and foreign content that invades their farms. Since then the Hatake has been known for being among Konoha's top 10 clans that utilizes swords, and despite their infamous status of Jack of All Trades, Kenjutsu is where the Hatake's skill lies at. Mikan has yet to master most of her clan's techniques. Here are Mikan's sword forms in order:

Basic Set of Hatake Kenjutsu (3 forms in total)
• Form I: Kōkyūgiri An offensive art that revolves around the speedy footwork and the quick hits of the wielder. Mikan knows how to use the fighting form and its concept but due to her lack of practice and preference of Form II and Form III, her offense is poor.

• Form II: Kekkaiwaza: The particular sword art that Mikan excels at. Kekkaiwaza is a defensive fighting form that protects practitioners from disarmament of their swords and guarding against the Kōkyūgiri(offensive arts). The form can be combined with Fuinjutsu which increases its defensive abilities.

• Form III:: Gyakuryū : Only second to Mikan's Form II, this sword technique revolves around countering attacks of Form I and any offense based technique. The usage of shape manipulation is evident in this form considering the similarities of the Samurai's style of Kenjutsu.

• Ninjutsu Expertise
Mikan excels in Ninjutsu and exhibits an advanced level control over her chakra than most academy students of her age which allows her to fuse her wind affinity into her blade. Of all the Hatake arsenal Mikan's a natural in this aspect, her training with Futaba allowed her to strengthen her talent and its effectiveness being most suitable to combat. As a result this pushed her even further and landed on the two principles which are none other than shape and nature.

Shape Manipulation and Nature Transformation: Considering that Mikan possess the superb chakra control of her clan, at a young age of 7 she has already infused wind chakra into her clan's signature saber. On the other hand, Mikan can only infuse her wind chakra into her blade and nothing else, as stated by herself that it's extremely difficult to amass and maintain the form.

• Cosplayer Outside of farming, the Hatake are masters of disguise due to their masculine(girls) and feminine(boys) features. Mikan's hobby is making her own clothes and poking fun of people with the numerous disguise she have since childhood even fooling her best friend who happens to be a Hyuga, ironic given the eye power. Her preference would be cosplaying famous celebrities, this talent of hers comes in handy, both for leisure and combat.

Physical Description
Momo stands at 152 centimeters tall, standing on the taller end of her peers, though not absurdly so. She has dark peanut brown hair and chartreuse irises. The thirteen year old girl’s presence can be described as inviting, though sometimes it comes off overbearing due to her energetic personality. Her hair is most commonly drawn into a pair of twin tails strewn together with white bindings. As a member of the iconic Senju Clan, Momo tends to hold more traditional (and conservative) values of clothing, though she prefers not to be the “history exhibit” in the room. One can find Momo wearing the traditional styles mixed with modern sensibilities, though when she’s carrying out her clan’s duties and involved in ceremonies you can bet she’ll be ready to don the traditional garb without hesitation or discomfort.

Personality
Momo can be characterized as a confident and headstrong young woman who is always ready to give a helping hand. She’s open, honest, and holds an optimistic view of the world despite her growing disdain that many clans are starting to move past tradition and adopt modernist perspectives; a concept that she struggles to accept as she is very proud of the legacy of her ancestors and what they sacrificed. It is due to this that Momo resists adopting “modern” trends wholeheartedly and pushes back at those who take things for granted. That said, Momo does have burdens to bear despite her parents never pressuring her. She’s a member of the main branch of the clan and at thirteen is struggling with controlling her chakra so much that she can barely expel an elemental nature technique. An irony given that only a century prior that such a thing would be seen as an accomplishment. Despite not having any great aspirations or hopes and dreams, Momo does want to be better and she will fight tooth and nail to prove herself to herself.

Personal History
The youngest daughter of Senju Ohtarama and Kazamatsuri Yoshimi, Momo is one of the few members of her family who have no real experience with the civil war that occurred between the former hokage and his opponents – a situation that only her elder siblings remember in any capacity. Essentially, like the other children of her generation, Momo has lived a life of relative peace and serenity where the idea of war is an idea best left to the history books.

Momo's immediate childhood was a simple existence alongside her siblings, trying to understand her place in the world. As a member of the main branch of the Senju Clan, knowing such things would normally be pretty cut-and-dry, but Momo's parents were not the rigid traditionalists of the past nor were they the ambitious modernists of the future; Ohtarama and Yoshimi stood somewhere in the middle, deciding not to burden any of their children with harsh expectations or brutal training. In fact, if any of their daughters decided they didn't even want to be ninja, they would accept that decision with little argument. However, none of Ohtarama's children decided ninjutsu wasn't for them. Momo, took to it rather quickly, though her reasoning was more out of wanting to be valuable. Between seeing the talents of her closest childhood friend and the passion of her elder siblings in the artform, Momo looked forward with the Konohagakure Academy for Ninshu in mind as her singular motivation. As far as she could figure, it was her responsibility as a Senju to be the best kunoichi she could be.

In her earliest days of being trained by her elder sisters and extended family, Momo once found a lone boy in the forest, to which she responded with in flabbergasted confusion. This boy, a member of the Uchiha Clan, would end up being Momo's first friend and in a lot of ways a friendly rival of sorts. The sister that took her into the woods to practice archery, Tamashini, to this day mocks Momo about her little “friend” in an allusion that the relationship between Momo and the Uchiha boy was anything but platonic. Of course, she denies such sentiments even if it embarrasses her every single time she hears it. Teasing aside, Momo would take her friendship with the Uchiha boy very seriously; sometimes to the point of dragging him along into friendly ninja contests in a way to not only learn from her failings but show him that the brutal training he endured from his family was not the only way ninshu could be observed. As they grew older, the contests evolved and their friendship grew. Currently, they are fellow students at the Konohagakure Academy.

As a student at the academy, Momo is confident and hard-working. She never half-asses her work and takes everything seriously. She's made more friends since her childhood meeting with her best friend and she values every single person in her life. Though, sometimes she feels she isn't as good enough to be in the same classroom as her peers – her struggles with chakra control is pretty well-documented and observed, and as the oldest ninja-in-training she wonders if she's even going to be considered as being good enough for promotion to genin. This, of course, is all derived from her own personal angst. Momo has become a solid student and shinobi despite not being a “young genius” of any sort. Her shurikenjutsu is above average, she knows how to utilize the water clone technique, and her taijutsu is well beyond being merely competent. But she's not happy with herself. Perhaps she needs to learn to be happy.

Only time will tell.


Character Development & Conceptualization
Senju Hatsumomo is a girl who has never had a single tragedy occur in her life. Her parents are of good health, nobody has died at the edge of a katana or kunai, and she’s treated rather well by her family with no strenuous pressures or expectations placed on her. She’s pretty much a normal girl from Konohagakure after you take away the fact she’s from the oldest and most prestigious clan in the entire village.

When you think about the growth there it is pretty easy to tell why Momo is an interesting character for me to play with after playing dozens of variations of overworked overserious kuudere characters. Really, Momo is a blank slate and kind of the antithesis to the stereotypical Naruto character in these types of roleplays. Momo struggles with being a good kunoichi due to her genetics and nobody is telling her she should be great but herself. She’s very self-motivated and will push her friends and comrades in a similar way. I think it’s a fun concept. Her growth beyond that is hard to say. It really depends on the bonds she makes and what specific jonin is guiding her and what challenges await her around the corner. Beyond that, I suppose another facet is that she respects the role of the Hokage and someday hopes to support them or perhaps be them. Momo is very serious so her interest in doing so makes a good deal of sense. This might make her critical of those who want the same achievement but have the “wrong” temperament.

We've gotta wait and see.

Character Focus & Skillset
Senju Bloodline: Momo is the direct descendant of Senju Seigirama and by all appearances has won out on the genetic lottery that Senju descendants can inherit. Momo has known this since the very first time she utilized ninjutsu, though she has always had issues controlling the enormous depths of her potent chakra reserves that flows inside her body. At thirteen years old she is beginning to finally have a better grasp at controlling and managing her chakra, though she has a very long way to go. She cannot walk on water and has trouble “centering” herself when scaling trees and other vertical directions. The complexities of chakra natures are known to her and she can utilize at least one elemental release, but it is done so with great difficulty and strain on her body thus making her one of the least competent students in terms of her spiritual and physical constitution.

Wood Release: The complexities of Wood Release, even to a Senju is quite challenging to comprehend. As a kekkai genkai it is more versatile than the Byakugan and Sharingan, but ultimately a bit trickier to utilize and develop. Not only does it require a genetic nature of water it also requires comprehension of earth-based chakra as well. For Momo this means she has to further her chakra control, knowledge, and creativity before she can even make something as simple as a bokken.

Kyūjutsu Expertise: The Senju have been avid marksman for over four centuries and possibly even further back – predating the enlightenment brought upon by the discovery of chakra and development of ninshu as an art. Since Momo could walk she has been physically conditioned to handle a bow and arrow and turned herself into an expert marksman with the weapon. The young kunoichi takes massive pride in that she is a more natural and skillful archer [at her age] than any of her elder siblings; this is not limited to the heir of the clan and her eldest brother, Kazuhama.

Physical Conditioning: Due to the difficult at controlling her chakra Momo has trained her body physically to be ready for anything. She’s no “living weapon” like the taijutsu masters of old, but she isn’t a girl who will go down from one punch to the stomach either. This in conjunction of what control she does have and her ability with ninja tools and a bow makes her an asset to any team.

Tea Artistry: The Kazamatsuri Clan has been growing, brewing, and perfecting the art of tea for over six hundred years. Momo's has always enjoyed tea and the making of such and she has been privately tutored by her maternal grandmother in this art since she could comprehend it. In the present it takes a backseat to archery and ninshu, though she still takes the time to cultivate the hobby.

Yari is a short, athletically built young girl of 4'10 with a healthy, lightly tan complexion. Her grey-ish brown hair - though thick and smooth in texture - often appears unruly and wild, having been hastily cut into many uneven layers. Her round eyebrows are of a similar bushy thickness and her keen eyes are of a similar colour. She leaves very little skin visible, wearing simple kimono-style shirts and matching shorts with leggings underneath, and donning her iconic bear pelt jacket almost every day. Yari has red fang markings painted on both of her cheeks, a tradition that seems to have fallen out of her clan's use in recent decades, as well as elongated canine teeth and nails like most Inuzuka. A few light scars line her legs and arms from the fights her and her ninken used to have during her early childhood. When she's not engaging in any form of combat, Yari will wear a pair of small fang shaped earrings.

C H A R A C T E R I S A T I O N & P R E S T I G E
As a girl who has chosen to maintain the outdated traditions and values of her clan, it's not a surprise that Yari has inherited the notoriously hot tempered and intense personality that ran wild within Inuzuka clansmen of bygone eras. However, it is more her strictly disciplined and fiercely prideful nature that defines Yari as a person. From a young age she has undergone rigorous physical and mental conditioning in order to succeed as one of the last shinobi of her clan, which has brought about a scarily stern persona that obsesses over achieving only the absolute best and rejecting anything gained beneath that. The values Yari has drilled into her head over the years has made her deeply respectful and appreciative towards hardworking individuals and those who call themselves shinobi, especially towards the elderly Inuzuka ninja who pridefully fought in the wars before as an expression of their clan values. Though she is not one to criticise the rapid industrialisation of the village she has been lovingly raised in, Yari has become very protective of the ways of forgotten Inuzuka ninja, despite finding that concerning herself with the affairs of other clans in similar situations to be irrelevant.

But her infamy as a student is more prominent than her respectable drive to be the best Inuzuka kunoichi she can, and so Yari was isn't really seen an easy person to approach. She is harsh and critical towards both herself and her peers, unafraid of the backlash she experiences and using opposition to accentuate her pride and confidence. Although her otherwise polite and rather mature personality has its worth in the eyes of Yari's instructors, her classmates find that her frequent scolding tendencies and intense ambition to reach the top of her class makes her more irritating than likeable. Having become too focused on graduating with the best grades possible, Yari's friend list has fallen worryingly short. She has very few people who she actually gets along with, and so Yari often relies on her ninken partner, Kagemaru, for emotional support. Though extremely self reliant in nature, her refusal to open up about her insecurities has built up nothing but doubt in her capabilities as a ninja, as well as a demeanour that only grows ever the more harsh after each attempt from people trying to break past her tough exterior.

Nevertheless, Yari is still only a young girl not even past the Academy student stage, understandably lacking the experience and maturity of her village's higher ranking shinobi. Thankfully she is not without her warmer, more jovial side when she begins to open up to others; always keen towards learning new things, enthusiastic when practising clan traditions and going out in the forests to hunt, and showing a surprising burst of energy when telling tales about her clan or stories from the history books she reads. Like many Inuzuka, shinobi or not, Yari is extremely loyal to her village and compassionate to her ninken partner, and is willing to protect the things she values against those who choose to threaten them. Her competitive fighting spirit burns with a passionate youthful flame, and it only seems to be growing from here.

O R I G I N S T O R Y
Being one of many born into an era of peace and prosperity had given the young Yari an early life without much worry or strife, being raised into a wealthy household that suffered little financial struggle. Her parents were happily married yet couldn't be anymore different people, her father being a leading fashion designer in his industry and her mother being one of the very few Inuzuka ninja that chose not to retire to a more peaceful lifestyle. Few shinobi veterans like Yari's mother from times of war and tragedy remained, as many modern clansmen saw benefits from turning away from their shinobi paths to pursue other careers; the Inuzuka became more known for their veterinarian and dog breeding expertise, their strong capabilities as ninja quickly being forgotten in recent decades. During her early childhood, it was uncertain as to what path Yari's parents would steer her towards.

It was one of the few things that caused the rare major conflicts between her parents, though it was her mother that would gain more influence over Yari during her early childhood. The woman was a traditionalist to a fault, introducing her daughter to old hunting weapons, animal pelts and faded paintings of a completely different era from a young age, the crowded basement in which all of these objects had been hauled into unlike anything she had ever seen before. Yari was completely engrossed by the stories and legends her mother would tell her, and expressed an honest eagerness to practice the same traditions as her mother had done when she was young. Her mother, not wanting to die along with and to preserve the endangered Inuzuka traditions, wholeheartedly agreed. Her father was obviously against this at first, as he felt doing those ancient practises would do little to benefit Yari in this modern age. What kept him from totally rejecting his wife's and daughter's requests however was his unspoken idea that the shinobi career was now a dying lifestyle, and so he accepted in hopes that Yari would eventually diverge from that prospect once she got older.

But her mother's personality and influence was strong enough to keep her walking down the shinobi path. By five years old Yari experienced the custom of painting red fangs on her cheeks for the first time, and from then she would continue to learn about old practises and delve into the history of her clan. By six she would have her new ninken partner Kagemaru by her side, and was already learning how to hunt in the Konohagakure forests under the guidance of her mother. The woman was an encouraging yet strict teacher, and soon Yari would come to learn of both the beauty and danger of the wilderness, her mindset vastly but gradually maturing with each camping trip. She would enroll into the Academy in the same year, and for the next seven years would be balancing her academic studies with her rigorous physical training in the forest. Over those years Yari has been hardened into the pseudo-hunter/ninja in training her classmates know her to be, having been disciplined by the harshness of nature's forests. She intends to continue her pursuit of the Inuzuka shinobi lifestyle, preserving all that she can of her clan's endangered traditions. But now, at only age thirteen, deep down inside Yari continues to struggle with balancing her modern and traditional lifestyles and values, and is still uncertain about the path she wants to take in life.

C H A R A C T E R D E V E L O P M E N T & C O N C E P T U A L I S A T I O N
Since the overall theme of the RP is largely 'traditionalism vs modernism', I thought it would be interesting to make a character whose main internal conflict stems from them trying to follow the modern and traditional influences they were raised into, and how they cope with trying to balance two vastly different lifestyles together. I'd love to explore the confusion Yari will face when the time comes for her to truly have to decide what path she wants to take in life, as well as how she goes about trying to preserve her clan traditions when she's currently one of the only practising shinobi in her clan. Despite her personality Yari's still at an age where she has a lot of room to grow and change, so I'd like to see how her personality and outlook on the world develops as she matures into a fully fledged ninja and meets new people of differing ideologies along the way. Also, the concept of a ninja that uses hunting based skills is something I've always wanted to try out, and I'd like to develop and perhaps put my own twists on the Inuzuka clan as I think they have a lot of potential to have a deep history and rich cultural traditions that the canon never had. I also wrote Yari to have a more 'difficult' personality than what I'm used to writing, so developing her character along the way as she forms more positive relationships will definitely be satisfying to see!

TL;DR I think the Inuzuka clan deserves more attention and I want to write about a ninja/hunter girl doing cool ninja/hunter things.

T A L E N T S
• Sensor - As an Inuzuka, Yari is able to make use of her extremely accurate senses, especially her sense of smell and sound. Her tracking and monitoring abilities are unparalleled by the rest of her classmates, making her a unique asset to a team.

• Hunter - Her capabilities as a ninja are not limited to the standard use of shuriken and chakra. Yari is able to hunt animals, make traps and survive pragmatically and resourcefully in the wilderness like it's second nature. She is easily able to apply these skills to situations more suited to shinobi, such as using her traps to capture escaped criminals and such. Her aptitude for hunting has also made Yari notably skilled at concealing her tracks and current whereabouts, which she has adapted to suit the 'hit and run' fighting style of her clan.

• 'Beast Human Taijutsu' - As a result of her daily exercises and practise of her clan techniques, Yari has become adept at utilising the basics of the original Inuzuka fighting style. Her skills in both taijutsu and ninjutsu are thus on a respectable level, although it is only her taijutsu that is able to maintain a just above average ranking in her class, while her ninjutsu ranks at simply average.

• Marksmanship - Yari's accuracy using projectile weapons is a notable skill of hers, and is considered slightly above average amongst her peers. Although she can wield kunai, shuriken and even a bow and arrow with reasonable confidence, her current skill level still limits her from being able to use such a weapon outside of hunting for game.

• Well read - Yari loves a good history book, and may spend her free time relaxing in libraries or going through her mother's old books. As a result she holds a great deal of knowledge about her village history and clan history, and can often answer questions concerning such subjects with ease.

• Cooking - The girl sure knows how to cook up a mean pot of venison stew. One of her top three hobbies that rival reading and game hunting.

T O O L S
• Spear - Although not necessarily and expert, Yari is able to use her spear efficiently. She can use it for a variety of purposes, usually for direct attacks or throwing at short distances. One of her most often used tools.

• Wire - Probably Yari's favourite. She finds the possible uses of this underrated tool to be almost limitless, and she thus carries many rolls with her.

• Go, Kagemaru! - Yari's ninken partner. Although they got off to an incredibly rough start when she first got him - she even has the scars to prove it - the two have managed to form a strong and inseparable bond over the years. Kagemaru is an extremely valuable asset to Yari as both a ninja and a hunter, and is seen as not only a lovable companion, but a loyal friend. A very good boi.

Ryusuke is the epitome of quiet and soft spoken, to the point where many of his classmates have wondered whether he even can speak. Before his accident, he was usually brimming with excitement, always excited to hear about the goings on of the clan. However, after his accident, he became silent and withdrawn, interacting with others less and less until he hardly spoke at all. The only person he will interact with to any meaningful degree any more is Katsuo, and even then very rarely when there are other people around.


Origin Story


Character Development & Conceptualization
Although he went through a somewhat extensive reworking, the most basic main concept I had for Ryusuke throughout was a Hyuga who not only didn't know Juken, but who was definitively unable to learn it as well. In addition, I ended up shaping him into an unknowing deposed Heir, which makes for a lot of interesting character opportunities in the future, with his clans members, his parents, and even Katsuo since the Hatake were involved in the coup that killed Ryusuke's true parents.

Unassuming Nature:
After such a long time of avoiding attention, Ryusuke has developed a special talent for avoiding any and all notoriety. He has painstakingly made sure never to stand out, never get first place, and always hide in the shadow of others more accomplished than him. He can easily blend into a crowd seamlessly and he is very difficult to spot in a densely populated area.

Kenjutsu:
Ryusuke has a natural affinity for kenjutsu, and the art has fascinated him from a young age. His clanmates dismissed his interest as silly and childish, as no self respecting Hyuga, let alone the heir to the clan, would ever be caught using anything other than the clan’s signature Juken. However, after being told he would no longer be able to train in Juken, he began studying Kenjutsu at the academy. Although he immediately began showing a notable inborn skill for the art, he made painstakingly sure that his classmates and instructor never thought of his skill as more than “passable”. He trains every day with Katsuo in secret during the early morning hours, and it is the only thing which he has any amount of passion for.
In particular, he has studied the Hatake style of Ittoryu, having been shown formally the aspects of the style, as well as having used his Byakugan to snoop on the experienced members of the clan, and observe their training to further expedite his own skill. While his partner Katsuo favors the defensive Form II, Ryusuke prefers the more offensive Form I.

High Chakra Control:
Ryusuke has also inherited the innate high level of chakra control exhibited by members of his clan. Although still rather undeveloped from lack of proper specialized training, he still has a notably higher level of control when compared to his peers. He often has trouble hiding and suppressing this inborn talent, and there have been a few close calls with his classmates and his teacher.

Juken:
Although Ryusuke has very very rudimentary knowledge of Juken, his training in it had only just begun when he had his accident and was unable to further develop. As such, he struggles to perform even basic Juken techniques, and is even further handicapped by the lack of natural chakra flow through his artificial limbs.

Byakugan:
While Ryusuke’s skill with Juken might be absolutely pitiful, he still has a notable amount of skill with his clan’s signature dojutsu. Currently the maximum range that he can muster with his Byakugan is sixty meters.

Physical Description
Standing at 165cm and weighing around 56kg, Shikkaru's physique has the potential to turn into a solid figure as he grows. At the moment, he boasts more lean muscle and gangly limbs than anything else. With his runner's frame, Shikkaru is built for speed and stamina more than brute strength. Shikkaru's appearance fails to conform to the Nara stereotype, something he's quite content with. Instead of the classic spiky black hair pulled into a tail, Shikkaru keeps his hair short and untamed, as well as dyed blond in splotches. The hairstyle led to his siblings jokingly calling him Sukanku (Skunk) Instead of only piercing his earlobes, he pierced the cartillage in his left ear as well. Shikkaru's softer facial features contrast his sharp jaw and flat chin. His long eyelashes frame large, expressive amber eyes, and his petite nose creates a youthful look. Shikkaru's sense of fashion is nothing exquisite, and tends to be geared towards simplicity and comfortability. Depending on the weather, Shikkaru will wear anything from long sleeved shirts, to tank tops, to hoodies; and his preferred pant styles are joggers. His tool pouches are all positioned in an unorthodox manner, allowing him to use his Shadow Imitation Technique to its fullest potential.

Characterization and Prestige
Shikkaru is the anomaly of the Nara clan. Being the antithesis of the Nara stereotype, Shikkaru deviates from the stoic, analytical persona that people expect him to embody. Shikkaru is a social, passionate, and ambitious youth who's sharp intellect is developed beyond most kids his age. People are normally caught off guard by Shikka's keenness because at first glance he comes off as a normal, energetic teenager. Shikkaru's smarts are more dynamic, flowing, and creative than average. He's a quick thinker who follows his gut, preferring to adhere to his instincts more than any rigid plan. While this led to academic success, it sometimes causes conflict when working in teams. He isn't arrogant or over confident (at least that's what he thinks, you never know), he just has a hard time taking things slow when they could be done quicker.

In social situations, Shikkaru tends to thrive. He can be quite the conversationalist due to his budding wit and odd sense of humor. Being the amicable guy that he is, Shikkaru does his best to be kind to everyone he meets. He's quite open-minded when it comes to meeting new people or encountering new situations. Being a part of a young, increasingly modern generation has raised him to be slightly naïve regarding the older ideals of what a shinobi is. This doesn't hamper his excitement of becoming a ninja, if anything, it just sparks his curiosity to learn the old ways and combine them with his modern approach. Curiosity is one of Shikkaru's defining traits. It's like an itch he can't scratch, he's always getting into things or asking questions. This makes him a great listener but can lead to trouble, especially in a group that's built upon discipline. Shikkaru has a love for academia as well, in fact, after he does his time as a shinobi, Shikka has plans to teach at the academy, or maybe even teach genin. But that's far, far into the future. For now, Shikkaru just wants to do his best at becoming a shinobi and learn as many new things as possible.

Personal History
Nara Shikkaru was born and raised in Kohonagakure under two loving parents. Being the youngest of three siblings, Shikkaru has plenty of role-models to look up to. His father, Shusako, works with Kohona's Intelligence Division, and his mother, Ichika, works at a restaurant in town. His older brother, Kishi, works as the hokage's secretary, while his older sister, Akira, is a teacher. Shikka loves his family, but if he were to pick favorites it would be his sister. She's the one who turned him into the energetic little book worm that he is. Shikkaru still vividly remembers Akira introducing him to Shogi, and recommending books for him to read. He still thinks of her almost like a second mother, though his mom is pretty cool too.

Shusako was the one to introduce him to the world of shinobi. Immediately, Shikka's curiosity grabbed hold and he was hooked right from the start. And so, his life became a mixture of studying and sparring. Training to fight with his father was an amazing bonding experience, and the occasional impromptu "take your son to work day" showed Shikkaru a whole separate world that he ached to be a part of. His ambition was stoked like a hot fire and he began to study in earnest.

Ichika showcased to him the civilian lifestyle of Kohonagakure, in all its glory. His mother is the owner of Saito No Kareraisu, a popular restaurant in the village. One that boasts the best curry rice and shabu-shabu in all the Land of Fire. Now whether or not that's true is up to those who eat there, but Shikkaru has yet to find a better cook than his mother (biased much?). Ichika likes to remind Shikka that not everything has to revolve around being a ninja, and that there are other options for his future if he so chooses. Nothing is more refreshing after a hard day of training or studying than getting to cook with his mother at the restaurant, he absolutely loves the atmosphere of the place.

During his days at the academy, Shikkaru began to realize he was actually quite intelligent, it showed in his shinobi tactics and academic records. He did his best to be kind to everyone and make as many friends as possible. He figured that he'd be working with most of them in the future, might as well get acquainted as soon as possible. Even if he didn't particularly like someone, he was mature about it, and chose to not let his irritation or frustration get the best of him. Obviously, he wasn't perfect at that, but it's the thought that counts right? Shikkaru is still curious about the future though, he notices how the older people seem to scorn this new, more modern generation. He's curious about why they dislike this shift in culture so much. It's one thing to read a book on history or hear an oral retelling of it, and it's a whole other thing to have actually lived through that history. Shikka just figures that the times are changing and there is nothing he can do about it, might as well roll with the punches and forge his own path. At the end of the day, he only has one life to live. He plans on living it to the fullest.

Character Development & Conceptualization
I was interested in seeing what a motivated Nara would look like. I also didn't want to create some crazy analyst who has to think 200 steps ahead of everyone else before doing anything. I think I hit a good mix that should be fun to play out. I think it'll be funny to see an energetic, witty Nara instead of the lazy genius stereotype we've seen before. I like that Shikkaru wants to be a teach in the future. It'll be intriguing to see if he continues to want to teach shinobi after becoming one and seeing how they live. I want to see how he interacts with the changing of the times, will his future dream job become more academia than ninja training? Will ninjas become purely ornamental? I can't wait to find out. As a side note, if no one makes an Akimichi I think I'd be interesting to see how the older generation reacts to not having an Ino-Shika-Cho combination if that's even a thing in this AU.
Talents

Keen Intellect: Shikkaru is wildly bright for his age, despite how he may appear to those who don't pay attention. He's quick thinking and fast acting. Though his methods of displaying his intelligence outside of scholarly pursuits may be unorthodox, Shikkaru will surprise those who underestimate him.

Tanto User: Shikkaru's tanto is sheathed horizontally on his lower back, and it's his preferred blade of choice. He'll normally use this and forgo kunai in close quarters situations. It's placed the way it is so that he can draw it after successfully completing his Shadow Paralysis Jutsu. He's become quite the tanto combatant, preferring to strike with a blade than engage in taijutsu fights. He excels at this fighting style because he's quicker than he is strong.

Chakra Control: Shikka has above average chakra control, meaning he wastes less chakra while performing jutsu, though his chakra pool is only average, meaning he can't continuously pump out jutsu like a machine. He'll continue practicing his control in an attempt to increase the duration of his paralysis jutsu, which get weaker after continuous use.

Academics: Shikkaru finds most things he studies to be easy to follow and simple to memorize. He has outstanding test scores and he gets even more enthralled if he's studying something he's interested in.

Sora is the youngest member of the small and largely uninfluential Kohaku clan. Gentle hearted is the best way to describe him. He isn’t quite timid around others but tends to be soft spoken anyway. He is kind to a fault and quick to forgive, meaning he is also quite naive when it comes to people. He prefers to be close to friends and is a strong believer in the power of teamwork. Unfortunately, his skills aren’t quite up to par with many of his peers due to his lenient upbringing. However, he is eager to better himself for the sake of his dream, his friends, and his family
Origin Story
From the moment he was born, Sora had no real expectations placed on him. No passing of traditional techniques, no pressure to really think about what lay ahead of him, not even any push to go outside and make friends. The Kohaku clan had always been one of the weakest in the Leaf. As such, they’ve long given up trying to make a name of themselves. The path before Sora was simple. Attend the academy, graduate with at least average grades, and settle into a stable job. There was one issue, though. The path laid out before him and the path he wanted to take were two completely different things.

Naturally, Sora quickly became bored with doing the same daily routine of chores and nothing else every day. He had often seen other children his age passing by the house and was always curious about what they were like. So eventually, he decided to use some of his excessive free time to go out to the local playground and meet them. To his joy, they quickly became friends and began playing regularly. Mixed into these moments of relief from his full life were rather interesting conversations. Talks of becoming legendary ninja. Others making fun of such notions. After all, ninja were becoming outdated. Sora never actively participated in these conversations with his friends but he always had the same question running through his head as he listened.

What exactly IS, a ninja?

It wasn’t long before he began seeking out the answer. Strangely, and rather frustratingly, everyone he asked seemed to give him a different response. His clan members told him that they were an ancient relic. No longer needed. His friends told him they were awesome heroes who protected the leaf and went out on cool secret missions. Anyone else he asked usually fell under one of those two categories. The curious boy was getting no closer to the answer he desired. And so he decided. He would try his hardest to become one and find out for himself. Not just to sate his curiosity but also to learn more about himself. Perhaps there was more for him in life than the simple path. Maybe doing something completely unusual for him would lead to learning more about not just ninja, but himself and his potential. He’s nowhere near as prepared as some of his elite peers but he is determined to do his best.
Character Development & Conceptualization
My concept for Sora as a character isn’t anything too extraordinary. A boy who lived in a very small world for a long time has only just recently began taking his first steps outside his bubble of comfort. He has no grand destiny or even a significant background. Every step he walks on the unknown road ahead of him is an arbitrary choice on his part. I’m very much intending to tell a story of “Zero” to “Hero” as he develops alongside his peers. He has a lot to learn about ninja, how the world works as a whole, and most importantly his place amongst it all. I’m very interested to see how the story will end up. In a way, he and I will be sharing the same experience as we both dive into a world both familiar and new alongside soon-to-be friends. My intention isn’t for him to become a “main character” but rather a small part of something bigger. He won’t be walking the path alone, after all. That’s all, really. There isn’t a tremendous amount of depth to what I envision for Sora but I hope I can show you that even a simple concept can be a big part of a deep story.

Kekkai Ninjutsu - In his short time practicing the use of ninjutsu, Sora has found he has a knack for techniques that involve creating barriers. His skills are still at a very rudimentary stage, however.

Shurikenjutsu - Due to his below average strength, Sora has taken a shine to long range fighting via shurikenjutsu. His aim at the moment is average at best but he’s found that he has a good eye for tracking enemy movement to lead his shots.

Medical Skill - Thanks to some of his clan members who have occupations as doctors, Sora has picked up basic medical skills for use in a pinch. He hopes to learn medical ninjutsu in the future to build upon this

Cooking - As a side effect of spending much of his time at home, Sora has had plenty of time to pick up cooking and it is one of the few skills he can say he is proud of. He loves trying out different recipes for desserts on a regular basis.

Empathetic - Although Sora isn’t the most socially active person, he’s always had an inherent ability to pick up on the emotions of others. It comes in the form of a feeling in his gut that varies depending on the emotion being observed.

Prismatic Pane - The user focuses their chakra to condense physical energy near the palms of their hands. The energy takes the form of a small, square, glass-like barrier that can block incoming attacks. The barrier stays just in front of the user’s hands so it can be repositioned via arm movement. The barrier is solid due to the condensed chakra but the protected area is small so effectiveness is heavily dependent on the user’s ability to react quickly and precisely. Sora cannot reposition the barrier very quickly due to being a novice at chakra control. As such, keeping it up for an extended period of time is impractical and inefficient for him at the moment.

Physical Description
As one might expect of a pure-blooded Uchiha, Arata is possessed of the traits typically associated with his kin. He has short black hair with centre-parted bangs; he is lean, fair-skinned and dark-eyed; and he has a somewhat boyish, somewhat feminine facial structure. Indeed, from afar he is little more than an unremarkable example of the Uchiha Clan. Upon closer inspection however, there are a few key features that serve to distinguish him from the rest.

The most significant of these is assuredly his presence. Arata is a stereotype associated with the basic demeanor of an Uchiha. He is not imposing, he is not pompous, and he is certainly far from intense. His height is only an unremarkable 148cm tall, he carries himself like a low-born slacker, and his eyes lack the same glint of ambition that shows in his family's. Further differences tend to be more subtle, like waviness of his hair and the shape of his eyebrows.

Coming from a traditional clan, it might be natural to suppose he dresses traditionally, but Arata prefers modern styles to the wide-collared garments his clan members keep buying for him. He especially likes jackets, sweaters and related outerwear for their combination of functionality and style.

Personality
The identity of Uchiha Arata has largely been shaped by a lifelong struggle against the external forces trying to control him. With little opportunity to define himself independently growing up, he has instead chosen to define himself in relation to how others define him. As a result, his personality is fundamentally more emotionally and socially reactive than it is proactive. He is determined, capable of picking up on social cues others might miss and always willing to call out others on their shit; at the same time, he is passive-aggressive, incapable of carrying a conversation well, and generally lacking in a sense of ambition. He is very much type of person who can tell you everything he doesn't want, but will greatly struggle when trying to express what it is that he desires beyond that. Naturally he tends to internalize rather than externalize.

Though he is no longer afraid of his father and the clan elders, Arata's upbringing has lead to a disillusionment with the idea of the benevolence of tradition and deference to authority that old-blood shinobi clans often cite. That said, he is still a product of that system regardless of the fact that he chooses to defy it. Even if he often disdains those who uphold tradition as gospel, it's clear he doesn't really know how to fix it in a cohesive and comprehensive manner. He tends towards modernity not because it is the best way, but because it's the only clear other way as far as he's knows.

Much of Arata's reputation is built on the existing stereotypes regarding the Uchiha and the various misconceptions that arise from his status. He's regarded as very much an "Uchiha genius"-type of Uchiha. That is to say, he's skilled without working for it and generally unapproachable by nature. While it's not quite an accurate assessment, it isn't without its foundation in truth. His social life is practically nonexistent and he isn't a very outgoing person in the first place; it takes a certain persistence that many lack to maintain a friendship with him, and even then there's not really a sweet side to unearth. He spends most of his time in class slacking off despite being extremely good at the whole shinobi thing, and the way he talks can rub people the wrong way.

In that respect, it's easy to see how he fits the stereotype. However, Arata doesn't shun socialization and he certainly puts in the work behind the scenes to earn his power. The latter is something that's a source of endless frustration for Arata, and one he knows he can't push for correcting or subverting. But the thing that frustrates him the most is when people see him as a title more than a person. All his life his success has been treated as something to further someone else's ambitions, even many of his peers are not exempt from this in the way they see him as something to surpass. It's essentially killed his reverence for reputation and accolades, as well as his drive to achieve for the sake of achieving.

But even with all the reasons in the world not to, Arata still continues on the path of the shinobi. Whether he finds what he's looking for remains to be seen.

Personal History
Uchiha Arata is the fourth child to result from the political marriage between Uchiha Satoru, the Junidaime Hokage, and Uchiha Mio, the heiress apparent to the Uchiha Clan. Of his siblings, he is the only one to be considered a viable heir to the clan, the only one to receive personal training from their father, and the only one to be born with the necessary aptitude to unlock the marque dojutsu of the clan. These facts are not unrelated; Arata is not simply the fourth child, but also the fourth and final iteration of Uchiha Satoru's plan to groom a worthy successor.

From that statement alone, one can surmise that the type of family dynamic Arata grew up with was not a particularly idyllic one. Indeed, many of his traumas may have been mitigated or even eliminated if the family had developed a stronger sense of solidarity to challenge their patriarch’s malignant influence. Instead, Arata was surrounded by siblings that pitied him at best and resented him at worst, a battered mother consumed by self-loathing, and a father who saw his family only as a means to increase his own prestige. The clan elders were of no help either; like Satoru, they saw themselves as hard men making a hard decision for the sake of their clan’s prosperity, and so the family would be resigned to suffering in silence.

Much like his siblings, Arata would be prepared for the life of a shinobi at an inordinately young age. Unlike them, his regimen would be far more intensive because he was his father's last shot at a "useful" child. And considering the regimen his siblings grew up with was quite intensive in the first place, Arata did not have much in the way of respite. Receiving personal training from the Hokage is many a shinobi's dream, but it was more traumatic than it was enlightening for the young Uchiha--even if one cannot deny that it successfully achieved its intent. He would be pushed past his physical, mental, and spiritual limits on a daily basis; refusal to continue would be corrected by means of force, as tended to be the case with most things in the household.

Unused to being pushed so hard, it's no surprise that a younger Arata would quickly begin to crack under the pressure. Afraid of his father and unacknowledged by his siblings, he would turn to his mother for the emotional support he needed to carry him through. However she was as much a victim as he was, and eventually Arata was forced to face the reality that if she kept "making him soft-hearted" she would get hurt. Without anyone to go to, Arata would eventually be pushed to run from home in an attempt to escape his family. Many of these attempts ended up with him quickly being located by his ex-ANBU father, but during his seventeenth attempt, the routine changed slightly.

At some point, he had crossed into the hunting grounds of the Senju Clan, and midway into a well-deserved nap, he was woken up by the two daughters of the Senju Clan head. After a highly sanitized explanation of what exactly he was doing in their territory, Arata was brought to the main household and subjected to an awkward few hours of interaction with the family of Senju Ohtarama. Despite being clearly out of his element in such a classically domestic household, he wasn't treated as an unwelcome presence, and his clan's historic rivals were quite accommodating. Of course, he was found by his father and forced to return home, but it was during this brief time that Arata would lay the foundations of a friendship with the youngest of Ohtarama's daughters that would prove to last.

At the age of eight, Arata unlocked the Sharingan. Though he was praised as a genius for the feat, it was no (un)fortunate turn of fate or feat of personal genius that forced the awakening of his eyes. Rather, it the product of a designed emotional response years in the making. From the beginning, Uchiha Satoru had deemed the extended influence of his wife on his successor to be a danger to his plan, but even he was shrewd enough to see the potential benefit of it. Opting to kill two birds with one stone, Satoru would allow Arata to emotionally fetter himself to his mother before enacting his plot to irreparably damage her credibility. In theory, the resulting emotional trauma would activate his son's kekkei genkai, and as we know, it worked perfectly. Arata's training would ramp up from this point in an effort to acquire rapid mastery of his Sharingan.

But as dark as his home life is, Arata's student life is about as relaxed as can be. Whether out of sympathy or indifference, the academy instructor for their class, his older brother, would allow him to slack off during lectures. Of course this hasn't helped his public image in the least, but snide remarks from his peers are nothing compared to the opportunity for a solid period of rest. With a poor reputation and even poorer charm, Arata is definitely lacking socially. Fortunately, he's mostly content to follow around his best friend. Although depending on who you ask, it's the other way around. Academically, his poor in class behavior has been far more than compensated for by the stringent training regimen he endures daily. While intentionally sabotaging his performance would be a good way to spite his father, Arata hasn't done so simply because certain people would get mad at him for it and that would be very inconvenient.

While it is no secret that Arata possesses the fully-matured manifestation of his clan's dojutsu, the number of people who have seen him use it can be counted on a single hand. Some consider his refusal a matter of egoism or secrecy, but it is not an honor reserved for worthy opponents or a trump card to fight for one's ninja way. Instead it's fundamentally about what he believes his eyes represent, namely everything wrong with the Uchiha Clan. Until he finally comes to terms with his family, his past and his place in this world, he might as well not have a Sharingan in the first place.

Uchiha Eugenics
Refined to a razor edge by centuries of strictly-enforced intrafamilial breeding, the Uchiha have accrued infamy throughout the shinobi world for the genetic advantages of their bloodline. The Sharingan is by far the most iconic of these, but there are other, far more universal boons that their pedigree bestows. The blood grants them chakra of the utmost quality and bodies that boast power and coordination in equal parts. With such a compatibility with combat, there is no question that the members of the Uchiha Clan are born and bred for the life of a shinobi. Arata does not stray from this universal truth--in fact, his training has almost definitely enhanced these natural talents--but the prodigiousness he demonstrates is no product of bloodline alone. Not many care to make the distinction, however.

Uchiha Style Ninja Arts
The Uchiha's infamy as the premier warrior clan of Konohagakure tends to center around their ability to coopt the techniques of others, but an oft forgotten fact is that they have developed and passed down techniques of their own. The vast majority of these techniques are founded in bukijutsu, but there exists a number of techniques that fall under purely chakra-based disciplines, such as Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique. As is the case with standard ninja arts, common practice is to develop a wide baseline and specialize from there; so it should come as very little surprise that Arata has developed a strong foundation in the many subsets of the style. Worth noting is that his tool specialties are swords and shuriken, and that he tends to use shuriken as the primary weapon rather than the sword, which serves as a sidearm.

Genjutsu Expertise
Of the major shinobi disciplines, Arata exhibits the greatest compatibility with genjutsu. Despite it being the field he's been trained in the least as a result of his father’s skillset, the chakra control and intellectual capabilities Arata has cultivated through his training more than satisfy the necessary entry requirements, and more than any other skill, it is his proficiency in genjutsu that makes him a useful addition to any team. He prefers more immediately useful illusions that can be fired off the cuff over subtle, long-term ones meant to slowly drive others to insanity or subjugation, but this speaks more to his personality than his skill.

Combat Experience
Uchiha Arata has about eight years' experience training under a man with very few scruples and quite frankly obscene firepower. Although undoubtedly traumatized by the experience, one can hardly deny that it's been beneficial in cultivating good habits for a shinobi to have--even if peacetime is slowly eroding the necessity for some of them. His base observational capacity and composure under all sorts of stress are considered top-notch by his teachers, and while some of his strategies could be better thought out, it's no question that he's good at thinking of them quickly. However as an unfortunate byproduct of solo training, he has very little experience working with a team. When taken into account with his social failings, Arata is rightfully considered to be a poor leadership candidate, even if he is an excellent shinobi otherwise.

Physical description
Shio stands 4.7 feet tall the shortest and oldest of her siblings. Her build is very thin and meager but her chest is quite big for her age. She has beautiful thin silky blonde hair that she finds one of her outstanding points. She wears the top part of her hair in a ponytail that is tied with a ribbon so it won’t get in the way during fighting. Her eyes are a deep greenish color. Her clothing style is usually body tight clothes together with short kimonos on top finished with a thin scarf around her neck.

Characterization & Prestige
Shio is a self reserved and shy girl. She tends to hide away from others and would rather stay to herself. Despite her shyness she is however very curious and likes to see what others do and talk about. This is however not always from a normal point of view. She can be spotted in the shadows or behind any cover, she prefers to hide over other ways of conversation. She does get embarrassed if others do find out she is peeping on others their conversations. When she is not into cover she can come over as arrogant or grump but honestly she is just a shy girl who is hard to deal with. Shio is still very sweet and kind in the way she handles, helping others with troubles and trying to comfort them when they feel down, despite being somewhat of a pervert.

Origin Story
Shio grew up grew up quite normally, her father was part of the Mitarashi clan and her mom was part of the Namikaze clan. Shio grew up with blonde hair originated from her mother when she was born making her more chosen for the Namikaze clan. It did not make much difference though since it already had been decided that Shio would be going to the Namikaze clan because of her mother her rank. Her two twin brothers and smaller sister were born a two years apart from each other making her the oldest of the siblings, yet the smallest. The hair color of her siblings were all color purple giving more after their father. She didn't grow any longer in length from the age of ten unlike her siblings who did. Shio stood out the most from the siblings since she did not look like anyone else apart from her mother. It had bothered her quite a bit in the early parts of her life yet she grew over it over the years.

From young age Shio was forced to take the path of the ninja just like her parents. Together with her siblings they had to train every day to keep their condition and stamina. It was not like they hated it but it did feel like a task sometimes. Shio being the oldest of the four always had to take the lead and take the most punishment when their father or mother showed them new moves. After practice she would always cool off by the lake or somewhere quiet in nature, she enjoyed watching the animals and watch the water softly tremble. It was more in her street to be quiet and watch her prey untill they don't pay attention. She loved to play her flute or meditate by the lake.

It was relatively easy to train with her younger siblings at the start though since she was the strongest but she felt that strength deteriorate when her two brothers turned older. It felt more of a drag to always be hurted or defeated by her older brothers. She was jealous of her strength yet after the same amount of training she did not manage to keep up. The only strength that she did have was her small and swift body. She did still manage to defeat her brothers when she was quiet and hit them in the back. It felt good to defeat them. It had taken somewhat hold of her, and obsession to defeat her brothers this way. Shio did not feel the need to use her voice any longer, her training involved hiding and sneaking so she had to stay quiet. It had become an obsession to keep her voice hidden as well. She would use paper to talk or play the instrument at the lake to let her emotions free with music.

She had been continuously harassing her brothers for her own amusement untill she was set free from this thought by her father. He had told her many times before to stop but she did not. Only after she had received a bruised up face from her father she could think clearly to what she had been doing. She quietly stared out in front of her without a single emotion on her face. After this she did stop with bullying her brothers and turned to a quiet husk of introverts. She would more often hang around the nearby nature untill late in the evening. She did still love her family but she had just become more rebellious.

Character Development & Conceptualization
Shio is made to be an introvert that finds it hard to deal with other people, her personality gives off into her maners and fighting styles seeing how she mostly dodges and attacks from the shadows without letting herself be seen. Shio is obsessed with quietness and having no presence at all, that is a goal in life she wishes to succeed by becoming a ninja. Shio wishes to better even the best hiding and invisible techniques on earth.

I intend to play Shio as a stalker, quiet kuudere girl that pays attention to everything and everyone. Her monotone and boring personality blooms into a friendly and insecure girl that tries her hardest not to show everyone her true and weird passions.

Talents
Fuinjutsu - a type of Jutsu that involves the idea of sealing objects or people away with talisman written in kanji. Shio only grasps the basics of this Jutsu style.

Shurikenjutsu - Shio has been using throwing weapoms from the day she was born. It is one of her main weapons she uses in battle and is ideal for mid to long range fighting or hitting targets from the shadows.

Flexible - Her body can move somewhat out of its natural shape after years of bending herself to many different positions and keeping it oiled and maintained. She does meditate on poles in the water as well where she takes on different positions while keeping balanced.

Stealth - Shio is one to hide on every moment of the day. She tends to be found on support beams or shelves. Over the years she has adapted herself to sneak around on every occasion she has. She can walk without noise and sit still in the shadow for a whole day. She can swiftly go from one point to the other without making and noise or showing any sign of herself. It is her expertise.

Flute playing - Piccolo, the instrument she likes to play the most when she is on her own. Shio has learned from her grandfather how to play the flute and does so in her free time outside. She almost only play calm and slow songs fitting by the environment she is in.

Trapping - Shio sets up easy traps that get the attention of her opponent so that she can get behind them and strike. She generally uses wire and bait for this or rotten eggs if she has a good day.

Manipulating Attack Blades - A technique that involves the user using their chakra to make several kunai hover around them, and with a simple hand movement, fires all of the kunai at once.

Gale palm - A Wind Release technique where the user either increases their velocity, or by the user clasping their hands together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale, which has enough force to knock over a person. When used in conjunction with shuriken or kunai, the tools become more lethal as their speed is increased.
