Character You're Playing:Marc Spector: Moon Knight

Powers And Abilities:  Ambiguous. Exceptional fighter, both hand to hand and with virtually any weapon. Some affinity for the moon, whether it’s present state has a psychological or supernatural effect on him remains unclear.

Season One Recap:
Previously on Moon Knight...

Former Marine and Ex-CIA operative Marc Spector was on a mission in Luxor, Egypt with two men from his past.  A former "consultant" for the CIA, Raoul Bushman, and his oldest friend, former French Foreign Legionnaire Jean Paul DuChamp.  In objection to seeing this mission viciously murder innocent bystander, archaeologist Dr Peter Alraune, Spector  (and with him DuChamp) turned on Bushman.

It's at this point things get a little hazy...

Did Spector die in the desert?  Maybe.
Did he take a head-knock that scrambled his brains?  Quite possibly. 
Did things change inalterably?  Absolutely. 

Spector pursued the lone survivor, Dr Peter Alraune's daughter Marlene, into the desert in order to protect her from the rest of Bushman's crew  DuChamp turned the violent rabble with the cannons of his Hind and Spector managed to track Marlene to the tomb of Seti III, overwatchedby the moon god Khonshu.

Spector died-and-was-resurrected/hallucinated-whilst-concussed/had-a-strange-frommage-related-fever-dream and awoke, wrapping himself in a shroud that covered a statue of Khonshu and referring to himself as "Khonshu’s Blade", but with no memory of who he was or any of his past.

Spector was reunited with DuChamp topside, away from the tomb and the pair were taken to hospital in Luxor's city where he was given care.  Whilst he was there he received a strange call from a man named Samuels who asked him to come to Chicago in the guise of a job, working for his employer Steven Grant.

Spector's head trauma and loss of memory led to him not taking the usual care when going through international customs under one of his other guises, which drew the attention of a shadowy group called The Committee with ties to government agencies. 

Upn reaching Chicago he was ushered away from The Committee's attempts to intercept him and was taken to Grant's home; a sizable mansion overlooking Lake Michigan. 

It was later discovered that Steven Grant was merely a name Spector had used in his past to funnel money into.  Samuels was his own butler who was helping Spector re-construct his mind and in the process allowing him to regain most of his memories.  With his conscious mind being the sum total of Marc Spector (also representing his Id, his original basic, most primal desires), Steven Grant (representing the Super Ego, his sense of morality, and drive to be the man he believed his parents always wanted him to be) and cab driver Jake Lockley (which represented the Ego, the rational arbitrator between the Id's desires and the Super Ego's morality).

With his mind once again whole and functional, Moon Knight was able to find a non-lethal solution to Chicago's recent Werewolf problem; a man by the name of Jack Russell who was able to escape a lifetime of imprisonment within one of The Committee's facilities after regaining sufficient mystical power during a Blood Moon "supermoon".

After seeing the way this city's newest protector handled this werewolf, in a world that was dealing with the Dawn of the Age of Superheroes, Deputy Mayor and upcoming Mayoral candidate Carson Knowles decided to stick his neck out and support the city's own Moon Knight, in stark contrast to cities such as Gotham which refuse to condone costumed vigilantism.

Where Do You Plan To Take The Character This Season?:  This year we’ll be delving into Moon Knight’s past, whilst bringing in a few more from the rogues gallery.  The present and future to be affected by a few things from this season.

Supporting Characters:
Jean Paul DuChamp - French Foreign Legion, Caporal Chef - JP DuChamp started his military career as a sniper, before later becoming one of the world’s foremost military pilots, able to pull off tough maneuvers in helicopters, light aircraft and virtually anything airborne. “Frenchie”, as Marc inarticulately would come to know him, became close friends with Spector when the pair worked on a clandestine team working dark missions. Possibly because Marc Spector seemed to have retained the most of his humanity out of any in the group.

Marlene Alraune – Marc’s girlfriend.  Daughter of the deceased Dr Peter Alraune, an archaeologist/egyptologist.  Has her own issues and complexities which have so far yet to be delved into.

Samuels and Nedda – Butler and housekeeper/chef of Steven Grant.  Underpaid, but certainly not unappreciated for all they must undertake.

Gena Landers – Owner and operator of Gena’s Diner, a frequent haunt of Jake Lockley.

Bertrand Crawley – The verbacious vagabond whose pontificating presence is a persistent pleasure, by providing preferable perceptive passage of quality counsel to a virtuous vigilante.

Ricky and Ray Landers – Gena’s kids.  Eager to be of assistance to Lockley and Crawley, much to their ever-suffering mother’s chagrin.

Anton Mogart– This collector of fine antiquities is a close friend to Steven Grant.  Tipped Steven off to the likely whereabouts of the Khonshu statue, which saw Spector engage in the mercenary job with Raoul Bushman.

Raoul Bushman - Raoul Bushman was a ranking “Specialist” in Marc’s final mission with the CIA. He leads his own band of mercenaries presently around Northern Africa/Sinai Peninsula with hopes of one day gaining the kind of power to build a nation beneath his feet.

The Profile – Contracted to work for The Committee, the private consortium who take care of CIA concerns that they would prefer never came to public knowledge.  The Profile can read people’s past and tendencies by observing body language to a remarkable degree of accuracy.  This mutant power, however, does not seem to extend to the Moon Knight however for some reason.

Detective Sergeant Flint – A Chicago PD detective who works (generally night shift) in Central Division.  Pulled into the Moon Knight’s orbit last season due to the Werewolf case.  Despite orders from high up within the Chicago PD to work with the Moon Knight, he remains somewhat skeptical and has been spending his own hours trying to identify the masked vigilante.

Dr Will Magnus – Formerly a promising scientist at STAR Labs Chicago, Dr Magnus went independent and opened his own laboratories in Chicago; Magnus Labs.  Dr Magnus assists the Chicago Police on larger cases operating at cost as a forensic scientist/technician.

Carson Knowles – Deputy Mayor of Chicago.  Previously worked as District Attorney and before that, a war hero.  This political high-flyer has his eyes on the mayoral seat in Chicago in the upcoming election and to get there he’s hitched his wagon to the Moon Knight, picking up on a social trend for costumed vigilante’s in a world which is bearing witness to the birth of the superhero.

Character You're Applying For: Hope Van Dyne, the Wasp

Powers And Abilities:
Size Manipulation: Hope was able to reduce herself to the size of an insect by using Pym Particles in the belt of the suit to distance her atoms, effectively compacting her physical structure and allowing her to shrink down whenever necessary. She still maintained her regular sized strength and durability while in a reduced scale as the process amplifies the amount of force she can generate and increases her density. Basically, Hope is granted super strength and durability while shrunk. Additionally, the process of altering size compresses force and energy, manifesting as brief shockwaves of vibration around the target, which briefly augments her force and momentum as she returns to normal size. 

Flight: By utilizing four artificial insect-like wings, Hope could fly at impressive speeds and maneuver with great agility with ease.

Energy Projection: Hope can fire bolts of energy from the wrists of her gauntlets. They are powerful enough to blast burning holes in reinforced materials and knock a man unconscious. 

Van Dyne Prodigy: With her parents both being geniuses in discovering Pym Particles and paired with a college education, Hope is very intelligent in matters of science, Pym Particles, and business.

Training Exercises: With her being ousted from the business and losing custody of her daughter, Hope found solace in training herself for long portions of the day. She prepared herself for the day that she would become the Wasp.

Origin And Backstory:
There was a time when Hope had an ordinary life but that began shaping her into something more was the death of her mother. No thirteen year old should have to see their mother die slowly from cancer and it was this belief that drove Hope to do something about this. She excelled in school and got into Ivy University, a prestigious scientific school. From there she took a series of difficult medical technologies curriculum, still determined on developing that cure to cancer.

Her time at the university had brought on another event that shaped her life drastically. Raymond Palmer a man of equal potential had been Hope’s classmate and close friend throughout her grueling years of academia. Their relationship would only blossom into something more, falling in love and eventually marrying shortly after graduating. They had a child, Nadia, early in their marriage. For a nearly a decade, they had happily developed Pym Industries together alongside Hope’s father. Pym Industries had flourished into a serious medical developer and had become a household name for the medical profession.

Despite life going well, Ray Palmer wanted more out of life believing his brilliance was wasted by not expanding upon the original idea of Pym Particles. It was about this time that Darron Cross came into the picture, suggesting and influencing Ray to pursue weaponizing Pym Particles. He manages to design a suit that is capable of shrinking and effective weaponry to be used alongside the suit. In an attempt to convince Hope, he tried presenting the suit and the untapped capabilities of Pym. Hope despises the idea, the two argue, and in a desperate attempt to control the meeting, Ray accidentally fires a shot from the suit that hits Hank’s chest. The shock to Hank’s system put him in cardiac arrest and he died before help could be administered.

Hope would try and move on from that event in her life, confiscating Ray’s work and trying to keep him honest. However, Ray developed a new suit in secret and was planning on defecting to Darron Cross’s company. Hope tried to stop Ray but failed initially due to his new suit, forcing Hope to wear the prototype suit to pursue. The two would fight a miniature battle out in the street, people unaware of what was occurring around them. Hope accidentally caused Ray’s death by knocking him into a the tire of a moving car where it was presumed he was squished. She was arrested on suspicion of murder and forced to resign in the company. Despite Hope’s reservation against weaponized Pym, she feels it is the only option to stop Darren Cross from obtaining original schematics left over by her father and husband.

What Makes This Character 'Ultimate'?:
So I did a lot of reading to get to this point but I think I have a story that utilizes some very interesting avenues. I did some research and put together a group of shrinksters and then built a story, and by extension Hope’s character, around those individuals. 

Ray Palmer, the Atom from his original story and Yellow Jacket in the Ultimate version, is the villain to Hope’s origin story. With similar motivations as Yellow Jacket in the movie, he became obsessed with Pym Particles wanting to militarize this technology. Naturally the Hank and Hope would disapprove as they wanted to work on developing medical applications in honor of Janet with the most iconic development being shrinking tumors down to become virtually non-existent. There was never any intention on weaponizing Pym but Ray Palmer worked in secret, developing a prototype and revealing it to Hank and Hope looking for approval. He wouldn’t get that approval and in a fit trying to demonstrate the usage of Pym Particles, he killed Hank. 

Obviously this would traumatize both, Ray and Hope, and in an effort to make amends Ray promised he would give up his obsession. However, their marriage was never the same scarred by that event and in anger Ray would turn to the whispers of Darron Cross, promising to reveal the secrets of Pym application. Ray’s resumed obsession would have him working on a new suit to present Darron which would go noticed by Hope and when confronted, he would reveal his intention saying he was through with her. In an attempt to stop Ray, Hope would use the prototype suit to confront him. There confrontation leads to Ray’s accidental death. 

Now with two mysterious deaths/disappearances being centralized around Hope, she would be arrested and then tried. With no intent on revealing Pym applications, she had little evidence to support herself. Darron was likely involved in some shady dealings to get Hope hit with the book but due to some clever work by Pym Industries paid lawyers, Hope got off easy. Unfortunately she lost custody of her daughter but Ryan was there, ready to adopt to keep Nadia close.

Ultimately, Hope is on her own dealing with stress and grief of her past. However, she knows that Pym Industries is in good hands with Ryan and besides, she still suspected Darron hadn’t given up his own obsession with Pym Particles. In an effort to stop him as well as redeem herself and the weaponized Pym, Hope tries to take the mantle of the Wasp.

Supporting Characters:

Hank Van Dyne: Father (deceased)
Former S.H.I.E.L.D scientist, he left to join Pym Industries to work alongside his daughter. He is credited for the discovery of Pym Particles and the many medical applications that came after it. He lost his life in an effort to stop Ray Palmer.

Janet Van Dyne: Mother (deceased)
She passed away from cancer shortly after Hope’s thirteenth birthday and her memory became Hope’s motivation to find that elusive cure for cancer.

Ray Palmer/Yellow Jacket: Ex-Husband (deceased)
Ray Palmer was a long time friend of the Van Dyne family ever since meeting Hope in college. Hope and Ray would eventually marry and produce a daughter, Nadia. He joined Pym Industries and helped Hank, his now father-in-law, to develop uses for the Pym Particles. However Ray’s work with Pym Particles consumed him and eventually turned against Hope and Hank. He is presumably deceased after Hope confronted him.

Nadia Van Dyne: Daughter
At only fifteen years old, Nadia is the daughter of Hope and Ray. Following the events of her father’s death, Hope was adamant about changing their names back to Van Dyne in light of Ray’s betrayal. Due to legal reasons, Hope is not allowed custody of her daughter but was adopted by Ryan Choi.

Ryan Choi: Friend
Hope’s business partner for Pym Industries, he managed the business end of the company while Hope, Hank, and Ray lead the development of the Pym applications. He was instrumental in keeping Pym Industries operating after the Ray Palmer incident and one of the few that knows the truth. He still assists Hope in whatever way he can.

Darren Cross: Business Rival
The potential corrupting influence of Ray Palmer by promising massive amounts of wealth for military applications of Pym. The failure of Ray Palmer had caused him to become quite bitter towards Pym Industries, vowing that he’ll ruin them eventually.

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!”
Andy Williams quietly caroled from the speaker of a small hand radio. Trapped in a small lab, this cherished Christmas song became background noise that broke the silence in between the quiet mutterings and sounds of delicate work taking place. Hope Van Dyne had been so preoccupied in her work that she hadn’t realized someone approached from behind.

“Even on Christmas Eve, huh?” Ryan Choi queried with a friendly smile, getting a bit of satisfaction from Hope’s surprised lurch from her seat.

“Ooh God--Ryan! You scared the shit out of me!” Hope exclaimed as she pressed an open hand on her chest. “Seriously, why do you even do that to me?”

Ryan shrugged, “Someone has to keep you on your toes. More importantly, it is the smallest amount of punishment I can give you for not being with Nadia on Christmas Eve. You should spend time with your daughter.”

Hope’s gaze dropped, failing to meet Ryan’s as she turned away and back to the bench where her suit laid. “...I know I should but she is being so difficult lately. I can hardly get a conversation out of her.”

“She’s a teenager with a dead grandfather, a dead father, and a distant mother. Why wouldn’t she difficult?” Ryan’s reply left the two of them in a prolonged silence as they considered the weight of that statement.

“I feel like… she blames me for all of it. She never explicitly says it but-” Hope began, taking a pause as she tried word her feelings but Ryan quickly interjected. “I’m going to stop you right there and say I honestly believe she doesn’t. You want to know why I know? It is because she still asks about you, like you are going to be there at Christmas Eve dinner. She is a smart kid, just like her mother. It would take more than paid off judge to fool her.”

Hope winced at her friend’s words, suppressing her urge to breakdown here and now. Her hand covered her eyes as she took a deep breath. “...Thank you, Ryan.” It was all she could find the strength she could find to say without breaking down. It would have been easy to become a mess, complaining about her reality.
She felt Ryan’s hand press on her shoulder, squeezing it as he came to her side. The two remained in silence for a moment as Hope considered just throwing herself into his arms but she still felt she was required to appear strong. Thankfully it was Ryan who pulled her out of any desperate action with his amused observation. 

“Look at this!” He chimed as she picked up a sleeve of Hope’s new and improved suit. “It’s like your a real superhero now! Hurry up and start saving people from burning buildings and stopping bank robberies so I can say I’m friends with someone the likes of Superman.”

Hope turned to him, smiling now, “Come on, me? A superhero?” Hope asked sounding like she couldn’t believe it herself. However the thought had her heart lurch forward in excitement for just a brief moment...

Character You're Applying For: Michael Morbius, the Living Vampire

Mutant Vampire: Morbius' powers stem from his research into adapting the supernatural properties of monsters into humans. Although, he himself is more of a mutant due to his DNA being crossed with that of a Vampire-Bat, as well as a little bit of Vampire blood, rather than the blood curse of Nosforatu, he nonetheless shares certain powers commonly associated with the Homonus Nocturni.
*Super Strength: Even at his weakest, he is still easily able to lift a ton over his head.
*Super Durability: Like most vampires, conventional weapons have little effect on his body. Bullets can stun him and cause him great deals of pain, but can't kill him. He is also incredibly resistant to blunt-force-trauma.
*Super Speed: Whereas not able to outrun a speeding bullet, he is able to outrun any non-powered human, his top speed is around 40mph.
*Super Stamina: Due to his blood being different, his body produces little in the way of fatigue toxins, allowing him to push his maximum potential for hours at a time, without rest.
*Supernatural Reflexes: Whilst not Spider-Senses, he is able to react to stimuli almost 20x faster than the average human.
*Acute senses: Due to his increased physical traits, it has yielded amazing superhuman senses. He can see in the dark, his sense of smell is better than most dogs, his hearing is on the level of a Bat's.
*Super Regenerative Healing: Although not as amazing as Wolverine's, his healing rate is beyond most any naturally occuring creature. He recovers from simple cuts and scratches in minutes. And, although not good enough to regrow internal organs, he can regrow lost limbs if he can rest for about a week.
*Claws and Teeth: Like any vampire, he must feast on fresh blood 2-3 times a week to keep his strength. To help him with this, his canines have increased in size, as has his finger-nails into razor-sharp claws.
*Immunity to Typical Vampire Weaknesses: Unlike typical vampires, he is uneffected by holy symbols, silver and oak weapons or sunlight.

Genius Level Intellect: Before this whole Vampire business, Morbius was the foremost authorities on genetics on all of Greece. He has retained his vast knowledge, despite his transformation.

Vampiric Weaknesses: Due to being partially vampiric, he does have several of the problems that go along with it.
*Vampiric Hunger:that he MUST feast on living blood at least 2-3 times a week. The main problem is that other animals can sustain him, but he must feast on human blood at least once a week or he slowly loses his sanity until he is forced to feast.
Garlic allergy: This one isn't strictly related to his vampiric abilities, he has always suffered from a mild allergy to Garlic. Ironic, isn't it?
Sunlight sensitivity: Unlike other vampires that explode when sunlight hits them, Morbius finds that exposure to sunlight makes his skin hypersensitive. Mild cuts that he would otherwise ignore are now agonizingly painful. Punches from some punk feel like being shot.

Sense-Overstimulation: Having superior sight, smell and hearing can come at a disadvantage. Although sunlight doesn't hurt him, he finds it difficult to see in the sun, he also finds his skin becoming more sensitive during the day. Certain smells can overpower him and sounds that would be annoying to a human might be deafening to him.

No Formal Combat Training: Despite being incredibly strong, he has little in the way of actual combat experience, in battle, he rellies fully on his powers to carry him.

Origin And Backstory (In A Maximum Of Four Paragraphs): Morbius was born in Athens, Greece, his father, a philosopher and mother a Doctor, he took more after his mother, growing up fascinated in the ways of science, he was constantly at odds with his father, who had always wanted his son to become a philosopher, this animosity only grew when, at the age of 13, he lost his mother to a car accident. His father and he grew very distant before he went to medical school and studied biology and biogenetics. His life seemed to be going in a good direction, that was until his first encounter with her...

Walking home from a lecture one night, he was attacked by a Vampire that beat him half to death, before attempting to turn him, before the creature could bite him, however, he was found by Rachel Van Helsing, the Vampire hunter, who slew the creature. After she saved him, he became enamoured with her and followed her, offering his assistance as a researcher. He and Rachel eventually fell in love and were married. Although Michael wasn't much of a fighter, he developed multiple new, Anti-Vampire bio-weapons for Rachel to use in her fights. He also got to meet other monsterous entities from across the world, some friendly, some not so much. He and Rachel did team up with several monsterous entities during their vampire hunting expeditions, including a team of American Monster Commando's, as well as a ghost that possessed an old Tank. Eventually, Rachel fell pregnant and it seemed as though their lives were almost complete... Then one day, Rachel fell ill. She lost the baby, before soon losing her ability to breathe properly. She was diagnosed with "McGregor's Syndrome" A highly aggressive form of Cancer which was thought completely incurable, but, after a bit of research, his findings brought him to Gotham City in America, to the scientist Victor Fries, who was also working on a cure for the disease. Unfortunately, Victor was a wanted criminal and Michael had to quickly choose between saving his wife and staying in the good graces of the law. He chose the former.

He and Victor corresponded for quite some time as they worked together on a cure and made some good headway, they even developed a stop-gap for stage one patients, such as Rachel, where they could put her into a medically induced coma and keep her under indefinitely. However, their working together was cut short as Victor was confronted by The Batman. Michael was forced to go into hiding as Batman discovered that Michael had been taking some of Victor's ill-gotten gains to pay for his research. Going underground in Greece, Michael continued to hunt vampires until he came to the realization that, perhaps, they could be the answer. Vampires contained incredible healing powers, he had never even heard of one getting sick. He managed to capture one and began to work on adapting the Vampiric genetics to synthesize a cure. But, without Victor's help, he quickly ran into walls. Specifically, he ran out of samples from Nora's advanced stage 3 and was forced to run tests on Vamprie Bats that he infected. Finally, he managed to synthesize what he believed to be a mutagen that would give humans the healing factor of Vampires, with no other choice, his first test subject was himself. What happened next, he had no idea, but when he came to, he was surrounded by a dead biker gang and he had mutated...

Getting home, he looked in the mirror to find himself horrifically mutated and with a taste for blood... Not wanting to accept what he was, a full-blooded vampire, he grabbed a silver stake and drove it through his own heart. He waited and waited, but death didn't come for him. He threw himself into the sun, but again, death was no-where to be seen. After some quick tests, he found that he wasn't a vampire in the typical sense. He was... Something else... He tried to correspond with several other scientists that he knew, but nobody was willing to return his messages. Those that were quickly stopped replying as soon as he brought the word "Vampire" into the conversation.

What Makes This Character 'Ultimate'?: Morbius is a character that is trying his best not to fall to the monster inside, whilst desperately trying to look for both a cure for him and his wife. Morbius will be travelling the entire world, trying to get help from everyone and anyone and not allowing little things like "The Law" stand in his way. He'll try to keep on the good side, but if the bad is all that will help, then so be it.

Rachel Morbius-Van Helsing (Morbius' Wife, comatose.)
Blade (A Damphire that is hunting any and all Vampires, Morbius is on his hit-list)
Victor Fries (A correspondent of his that he has been working with as their wives share a rare disease. Although they have never met in person, they regularly email each other with research notes.)
Varnae, Lord of Vampires (An ancient Atlantean Vampire of immense power. He plans to drink the blood of all the strains of Vampire in order to gain god-like power and lose all of his weaknesses. Morbius' blood is on his list)
Count Vladimir Dragul (Supposedly the oldest vampire to exist. Morbius see's Dracula as a source of the purest strain of Vampire DNA. In order to better develop a cure, a sample of Dracula's blood will be invaluable.)
Jubilation Lee (A young mutant runaway who fell in with a bad crowd that turned out to be Vampires.)

*Camera shakes a little as it is put onto the stand. A handsome man sits down in front of it, his face clearly bruised and scratched.* "Hi, guys, it's me again. I know that you guys are only here to hear my thesis on the integration of Animal DNA into humans, but i need to tell you about this... I just got attacked by a Vampire. I know, right, it's crazy, but i was saved by..." He looked up and his eyes fluttered. "Ahhh... The prettiest woman you have ever seen." He then composed himself. "Look, i know that this sounds insane, but i need to meet her again." He sat, trying to figure out what to say. "To hell with this, i'm going to find her, right now, i'll keep searching till i do so. I need to meet her again." He pressed a button on the back of the recorder and it shut off.

*The Camera turns on to reveal the man covered in scratches* "I'm sorry, i should have told you all about this in advance, but..." he grinned a joyful grin. "I've just killed a vampire. Like, stake through the heart and everything! Can you believe it? I mean, i thought i'd be covered in blood, but it just turns to ash the moment you kill the bastards." He shook visibly in excitement. "I've never felt so alive!!!!! Oh, yeah, i found the girl again and she agreed to meet me tomorrow night. I need to shower. Bye!" *The camera turned off*

*The camera turns on to reveal the same man with his wounds healed.* "Sorry for not replying for the last few months, i've been really busy. I found her, her name is Rachel and... Well, i don't want to say we're dating, but-" At that point, the door opened and the pretty blond woman walked in.

"Hey, Mike, i've been looking over the blueprints of your UV Grenades and... Are you recording a Vlog?" the man grabbed the camera.

"No!" He replied as it turns off.

*The camera turns on to see the man now with a full beard.* "Well, this has been a crazy as hell year... Rache is sleeping, it was a hell of a honeymoon... Oh yeah." he revealed his wedding ring to the camera. "You would not believe HALF of the shit i have seen travelling around the world. Met some really nice guys and gals in Egypt, killed a LOT of Vampires. Met a... Well, let's just say a crazy old war vet in Russia. Really nice guy..."

"Come to bed, Mike..." A sultry voice cooed. The man shrugged, before reaching behind the camera and it turning off.

*The camera turns on as Michael is carrying a box* "Hey, Rache, it does still work." He said. "Well, here it is, our new house. I got a promtion at the lab, i'm now a team leader, so now we can afford the space." He carried the box into the bedroom, before he pointed it at Rachel "Say something funny." He said. She laughed, then held up a long object with 2 red stripes on it. "The hell is that?" *The camera tumbled to the ground as the box also smashed to the floor and the camera cut out*

*The camera turned on and the man slumped down into the chair in front of the camera. He had a bottle of whisky in his hands.* "I..." He staired at the camera for a solid minute. "W..." He buried his face in his hands as the sounds of soft sobbing could be heard. "So... I'm just gonna come out and say it. We lost th-" At that point, he broke down and started to bawl his eyes out. "Fuck..." He groaned. He turned the camera off.

*The camera turned on to find the man with bags under his eyes.* "Rachel has been... Tired... Coughing... I thought it was just the miscarriage... Just got the results back... McGregor's syndrome." He took a long drag on a cigarette. "No cure..." He took another long drag. "Now, there is good news and bad news... The good news is that i have found the foremost authority on McGregor's Syndrome.  We've had a good, long talk and i have found a way to stabilize her. We've managed to put her into a sustained chemically induced coma that is keeping her in a form of stasis, The tumor isn't growing, but she can't remain conscious." He took another long drag of the cigarette. "Bad news... The man's name is Victor Fries and the man is certifiably insane. Operates out of Gotham, calls himself "Mr Freeze" and fights Batman..." He swore under his breath. "I REALLY don't want to fight Batman... I mean, if the guy could take on a literal God..." He buried his face in his hands, before pulling them away. "If he could take on a god... I can do no less to save her." He then turned off the camera.

*The Camera was facing vampire tied down to a table as Michael took blood, it thrashed around as he backed off, then immediately, it turned to see several Bat's in cages with Morbius injecting them with a substance. Several more reels of him stabbing them. He wiped away the blood, before finally stabbing a last one that screamed, but seconds later, had healed. He stabbed it again, before looking into the bat's eyes. He saw it follow the finger. He then threw his arms up in the air.*

*He turned on the camera and sat down. "Uuuuuhhh... Right... Victor has been caught... I've been forced underground... And now..." He pulled a out a syringe. "After 10 successful animal tests in a row... It's ready as it can ever be." He stared into it. "If this works... We'll be immortal... And maybe i can save Victor..." He smiled a little, then proceeded to tie a band around his arm, before searching for aa vein. "One small step for man... One giant leap for mankind..." He pressed the serum into his arm and pressed the plunger. He then grabbed his arm. "FFFFFuck..." He groaned. He then fell to the ground and a demonic roar could be heard as he smashed the Camera over. The camera caught his eyes turn red before it cut out.

*The Camera was close to his face as he turned it on.* "My god... What have i done?" He asked as he looked into the hideous face "I... I am... A MONSTER!!!" He roared before smashing the camera.

*The Gotham News starts* "Hello, it's the news at 6 and i am your host Gordon Godfrey. Tonight on GCN." *The footage shows Batman punching the Penguin* "Batman bests notorious ganglord, The Penguin, after a tense hostage situation." *The footage shows a football star scoring a touchdown* "The Gotham Knights have done it again with their 7th consecutive win of the season, details at 7." *The footage then showed a boat on its side, beached in the harbour* "But our main story, a Greek freighter has washed up on the shores of Gotham Harbour in the early hours of the morning, all onboard dead. We now go live to Vicki Vale for more details. Vicki?" *The camera cuts to a side-by-side shot with Godfrey and Vicki, who was at the port, standing near the boat.*

"Thanks Gordon, yes, it's a harrowing scene here at Gotham Waterfront as a small freighter washes up on shore with all hands lost. All of the bodies were still onboard and all crew was accounted for, the police are currently investigating the possibility of Piracy." Gordon nodded.

"Yes, but what about the rumours of the neck bites?" Gordon asked. Vicki froze for a second, before gulping and looking at someone behind the camera.

"Umm, yes. Yes, unsubstantiated rumours from the coroner's office say that all of the victims were found drained of their blood and puncture wounds on their neck." She looked annoyed. Gordon smiled.

"We also bring you the following footage, taken from the first responders on the scene." The footage was shakey as a dock worker ran towards the boat.

"Holy s**t, f****n' look at this f****n' thing. YO NIKO, CALL THE COASTGUARD, AMBULANCE, FIRE AND RESCUE, F****N' SUPERMAN, JUST GET SOMEONE OUT HERE!!!" The man continued running, as the shaky camera showed some kind of shadowy figure was seen against the moonlit backdrop. "YO, IT'S OK, BATMAN'S ALREADY HERE!!!" He called, the man continued to run towards the ship. "Yo, Batman, me and the boys are here to help, whadya need?" At that point, the Shadowy figure began to run off down the beach at inhuman speeds. "YO, BATMAN, WHERE YOU GOIN'?!"

"The footage has been making waves online, but with the confirmation of the neck-bites, the figure is coming to be known as "The Gotham Vampire" and several groups have already put out cash rewards for any information that will lead to the figure's capture."

Powers/Abilities
Scott has the ability to project a powerful beam of concussive force from his eyes. As a result of injuries caused by falling from the plane during his childhood, Scott is unable to control his optic blasts, relying on his lenses of ruby-quartz to be able to see normally. 

Origin and Backstory 
Scott Summers did not have the world’s best childhood. Scott was on a flight with his parents and little brother Alex when their plane suddenly found itself erupting into flames. His father, Christopher Summers, knew they only had one parachute onboard and did what any father would do. He strapped Alex and the parachute to Scott and pushed them to safety. The landing was rough, but Scott escaped with just a concussion. However, the sight of seeing his parents plane go up in flames left an even deeper scar. Things only worsened when the boys became wards of the state and were separated when Alex was adopted, and Scott sent to an orphanage in Nebraska.

It was during this time that his mutant abilities manifested. After bumping into a wall, Scott's eyes began to hurt. Although he was able to see fine at first, he was unable to control it, and unaware of what he was doing, Scott opened his eyes. The blast of energy that erupted from them cut through the walls of his school, obliterating anything that fell into its path. It was a miracle that no one was hurt. That's when he came across one of the two men that would change his life forever; Charlies Xavier. Xavier Institute for Gifted Children became Scott's new home over the next few years. He excelled at his studies, and soon learnt how to control his abilities, using a lens of ruby-quartz to keep his optic blasts at bay. That was when he met Jean. Scott found himself falling in love with Jean Grey from the moment he laid eyes on her. In time the two grew close to one another, forming a relationship.

Things weren’t all smooth sailing though. During his time at the Institute, Scott watched first hand the hatred that the rest of the world had for his kind, and he absolutely hated it. At first, he had held strongly to the dream of a better world that Charles had described to him; a world of mutants and humans living together in peace. However, the more he watched on the news of bigotry and racism that mutants received merely for existing, the more his belief in that dream faded. These thoughts were brought forward upon the arrival of Max Eisenhardt, otherwise known as Magneto. An old friend of Charles, Magneto was a firm believer in fighting back against the enemies of Mutantkind, and while Scott may not have agreed with his methods, he couldn’t disagree with the reasons. 

Scott leaped at the chance to do his part upon the creation of X-Force. Taking the name of Cyclops, he fought for the position of the team’s leader, a position Charles’ had been steering him towards for years. Unfortunately, Magneto, the team’s supervisor, had other plans, placing his own son Pietro as the head of the group. This only made Scott more determined to do better, however, did little to solve the ongoing ideological struggle within his head.  

What Makes This Character 'Ultimate'?:
In recent years in the Marvel Universe, after years of tragedy for mutantkind, Scott Summer’s found himself moving away from Xavier’s ideology of humans and mutants living in peace, becoming a revolutionary (or terrorist), akin to Magneto. I want to see what would happen if Scott found himself succumbing to these thoughts at an earlier stage in his life, and how that would affect the X-men. With both Xavier and Magneto acting as mentors to the X-men (or X-force) in season 1, I feel it would be interesting to see how’d Scott would interact in such an environment. 

Supporting Cast
Charles Xavier: Founder and current head of Xavier Institute for Gifted Children. Charles has acted as a father figure to Scott during his time at the institute, however as tensions have escalated within the mutant community, Scott finds himself slipping away from Charles' ideology. 

Max Eisenhardt AKA Magneto: The current supervisor of X-Force, Scott was initially hesitant of the mysterious Magneto. Now he's starting to agree with him more and more.

Jean Grey AKA Marvel Girl: An incredibly powerful telepath, Jean is both Scott's best friend, as well as his girlfriend. 

Pietro Maximoff AKA Quicksilver: Speedster and son of Magneto, Pietro leads X-Force. He and Scott do not get along.

Tara Markov AKA Terra: As hot-headed as she is powerful, Terra can manipulate the earth. In recent months she has come to idolize Magneto.

Garfield Logan AKA Beast Boy: The youngest of the team, the green-skinned Beast Boy is able to turn into any creature in the animal kingdom. 

Jubilation Lee AKA Jubilee: The living firework, Jubilee found the school just as her powers began showing. She has big dreams of becoming a superhero.

Henry McCoy AKA Beast: Close friend of Charles Xavier, the blue-furred Beast has a genius-level intellect and develops the team’s tools and gadgets.

Danny the Brick: The Sentient Brick that makes up Xavier's Institute.

“Are you going to tell me what’s wrong Scott, or am I just going to have to read your mind?”

Jean’s words broke Scott Summers free from his thoughts, returning him to one of the mansion’s various parlour rooms. The two of them were alone sat on a cushioned bay window seat, looking out over the mansion’s grounds. It was late afternoon outside, yet due to the time of year, the sun was already beginning to set, painting the skyline into a beautiful tapestry of oranges and blues. Yet for the young mutant, this was an entirely different sight, his ruby quartz glasses soaking everything with a deep tinge of red. Such a sight would have appeared incredibly alien to most people, although in the last few years such a thing was Scott’s new life. It was normal.

Jean was perched opposite him in the bay window, legs crossed, a large book resting in her lap. The two often sat like this; Jean with a book in her hands, and Scott binging through episodes of House of Cards or other like-minded shows. Not talking to one another, just enjoying each other’s company in silence, save for the sound of the tv in the background. However now she was looking directly at him.

Following her gaze, he moved his eyes down to the cushion he was clutching in his hands. Absentmindedly he had been picking one of its tassels to pieces, with a pile of thread forming all over his legs.

“That obvious, huh?” She giggled as Scott moved quickly to brush his legs clean. 

“I mean, either that or I missed a memo from the Professor about him wanting to redecorate.” Making her voice softer, she rested her hand reassuringly onto his arm. “Is it Pietro again?”

Scott shifted uncomfortably as she said their teammate’s name. It was a touchy subject for him. Scott had been arguing with the professor for months, trying to convince him to let them head out into the field to do some good. Magneto’s arrival seemed to finally change Charles’ mind, yet instead of Scott being at the helm of the newly formed squad, it had been Quicksilver. And it was very clear that the two did not see eye to eye on a great many things. 

“I just… I just still don’t get why he’s in charge. The guy’s basically a budget Flash.”

“You do have to admit that the guy does know how to lead a team.“

“Only because his dad is basically G.I. Joe with magnet powers. His nursey was probably Magneto’s old briefing room.”

The two erupted into laughter, both unable to cope with the image forming into their minds However this was soon short-lived as the sound of the television caught both of their attention. Images of a protect, interluded with shots of rioting individuals flashed across the screen, the anchor man’s voice echoing over them.

“A peaceful protect led by the mutant community has once against erupted into riots in downtown Manhattan this afternoon, once again prompting discussions about what many refer to as, The Mutant Problem. Senator Kelley gave the following statement.”

From his seat, Scott’s laughter died out, with anger washing over his face. 

“I’m not watching this.” Scott declared as he arched forward, preparing to rise from his spot. Instantly Jean pulled him back down, stopping him.

“Let me.”

With a flick of her hand, the television’s remoted lifted from its place on the coffee table in the centre of the room and glided towards them. Grabbing it out of the air, she pressed the relevant button, putting the room back into silence. The two looked at one another, the reassuring smile upon Jean’s face calming Scott down. The two stared at each other for several seconds, before Scott finally broke.

“That is without a doubt, the most impressive thing you have ever done!” Scott jested, as he moved forward wrapping his arms around his girlfriend.

“Oh, shut up you.” She laughed as Scott came in for an embrace, pulling him down to her, the rest of her words becoming lost against his mouth.

“Come on Summers, at least give her a chance to breathe.”

The two of them broke apart instantly, throwing each other to separate ends of the bay window, both of their faces now as red as Scott’s glasses. The look on Pietro Maximoff’s face as he stood there before them was that of a kid on Christmas morning. 

“What do you want Pietro?” Scott demanded as he adjusted his shades, moving his body so his posture was more physically imposing than of someone who had just been caught out unexpectantly. Pietro didn’t seem to care and just continued to smirk.

“We’ve got a mission. Father and the Professor want us all suited up in the briefing room in five.” Before either Scott or Jean could issue a response, the white-haired teenager vanished into a silver blur, the whooshing of air echoing. 

“What an absolute…” Scott began to curse as the two jumped to their feet, only for Pietro to appear before them once more, this time in his costume. 

“By the way, if we’re talking budget superheroes, pretty sure that Superman was shooting lasers out of his eyes first!” Giving Jean a wink, and a short salute to Scott, the speedster disappeared once more.

“They’re optic blasts, for gods sake!”
