Myth the Muse

Location: The Wizard's Tower

Myth was feeling a bit overloaded with everything going on, so she was thankful that her husband took control and transported them all over to the tower, with their things. She played with the puppy a bit more before she stood up and inched her way over to get ready. She had a dress picked out and it fit beautifully with what she had in mind. The dress itself was white with light tan fur on it. It was big enough to fit her and her bump, but enough to still give her a figure. She chose this dress because it crossed both her worlds. Her past and her village and her new future life with Bruce.

She was working on her hair as Runa, Halley, and Astrid were helping her. "I have given it some thought. I would take Bruce's input, but I was thinking of naming him after my father, Halden. Sort of to preserve his legacy since he can't be here with me today." Myth had been holding it together, but she knew her father would have loved to see her getting married. Granted, she wasn't sure how he would take her marrying a literal god, but the fact she was happy and would have a son would have made him proud.

She began to cry as she wiped her tears away quickly. "Gods, I don't want to ruin my face. Happy tears, I assure you. Or I am going insane, not sure which yet."

Fleur La Mallificum

Location: Witch's Road

Fleur had spent some time along the Witch's Road. It was a useful gift as it allowed her to view and communicate with the past. If she were to solve the mystery, it was her best lead. It always left her feeling cold, granted she was never really dressed for the weather. Still, she felt another presence almost instantly as she manifested along the road.

The witch herself appeared dressed in scarlet. Fleur felt she looked intimidating and powerful, but red was not her color. "I could say the very same thing, granted I did not expect anyone right away. I am Fleur La Mallificum, Witch Messiah in my time. I have come here to investigate a recent event in my home where two Magyk users were killed but did not leave behind a ghost. I do not suppose any of what I am saying makes sense, but I am here to investigate. I believe this may lead to a Sicknesse that is plaguing my home currently. Anyone who uses Magyk gets more ill. But where are my manners? Who am I speaking to?"

Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 7:30 PM

@KazAlkemi@Nallore@LadyRunic: Where was Minerva? Who knew? The little demonic pixie had parted ways with them after the tavern, going to investigate a potential lead on her own. However, that is neither here nor there. As Grimspound moves through the crowd and grabbed onto the young wizard, the wizard looked up at him gratefully. The M on his face looked gruesome, though Magyk would likely be able to at least reduce it to a faded scar.

However, since the crowd had been enjoying this and now Grimspound was in the middle of it, they looked at him curiously. Was he here to escalate the violence? Or was he intending on defending the kid? One of them spotted Grimspound's emerald green eyes. "He's one of 'em!" they shouted, igniting the crowd again into a fury.

"Go back to where ye came from! Ye ain't welcome here!" another screamed. They started pelting him with rocks, a good number of them hitting the Dykri man.

@LadyRunic: A few people are entering the Castle via the North Gate just like Rhys, however the South Gate tends to be more commonly used. North Gate is typically used for going to and from the Forest or to head up to either the Badlands or the Farmlands. Many of those skilled in Physik are currently using this gate and bridge, as they go to see those who live in the Forest and collect suggested remedies to try for the Sickenesse.

The easiest path to get to Wizard Tower from here would be to walk straight down Maker's Mile and hand a right once you can see the Palace. Walk to the Palace gates and then turn onto Wizard Way. Of course, the quickest route would be to turn off of Maker's Mile earlier and take a series of back alleys and end up on Wizard Way. To each their own!

Chthon, of course, was getting hungrier by the second. The more Rhys fed him, the quicker the energy seemed to be used up. "I am an Elder God. What do you take me for, a puny Asgardian?!" Chthon scolded.

@LadyRunic@mnkee: While the infirmary is already busy, a little girl with toy fairy wings on ran inside. She looked around, a bit of urine trailing after her as the poor little thing had had to go potty and Cuyler didn't take her! The little girl had hawkish little eyes and instantly zeroed in on Lyra. "Hey, hey listen! Hey you!" she said, jumping up and down next to her and running around in circles. "Why aren't you listening to me? HEY, HEY LISTEN!" Navi continued to scream. "Amarantha says you have to help me get clean and changed!"

@FantasyChic: The Scarlet Witch looked at her curiously, titling her head. She was from a distant time in comparison to Fleur - by about ten thousand years, give or take a few centuries. "I am Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. I came to the Witch's Road to discover what is making magic sick in my own time... I cannot help but wonder if our problems are connected." The Scarlet Witch then gestured to the side of the road.

Fleur would be able to see modern day society, with magic mutating and changing, as if infected by some sort of dark energy. The Scarlet Witch had traveled to the ancient lands, where magic began, and had been attempting to relieve symptoms. It was taking a toll on her soul, however, as all magic came with a price and Wanda was using her own life force.

Of course, her magic and Fleur's Magyk are not quite the same, but close enough. The two types are practically siblings.

Arya Rincewind

Location: The Palace - the Library

Rowland and Arya both got up as Valda entered the room, bowing and curtsying to the Queen respectively. Even though Valda wasn't really the sort to get fussy over manners and protocol like that, it was a force of habit. A good portion of the work of the ExtraOrdinary Wizard was in helping to manage relations between Wizard Tower and the rest of the Castle - now more than ever, due to the wicked Sickenesse. "...I am fine, my Queen," Arya said. It was dishonest but she did not want to trouble the Queen with personal plights.

"Queen Valda, it is always a joy to see you," Rowland said kindly. "I hope that you are faring well - though Arya here is ill, I'm afraid. And she will not admit it without a struggle." He then chuckled slightly and Arya shot Rowland a bit of a look.

"I am capable of speaking for myself, Rowland," Arya reminded him. She hadn't been able to find any books that were terribly helpful so far in the Palace Library. She supposed it was to be expected. The Manuscriptorium would have the largest collection - yet she was hopeful that the Palace would at least have some volumes that the Pyramid Library itself lacked.

"Oh trust me, I know that," Rowland replied, chuckling still. "Your Majesty, if you are ever come to Wizard Tower for a feast day, it is a treat to watch Arya thoroughly shut down the Ordinary Wizards who bait her."

Arya sighed a bit. "You are terrible..." she muttered, before she spotted Cuyler come into the room. There was a faint smell of urine in the air. Her emerald eyes glanced at him for a moment before she returned her attention to Queen Valda. She wasn't ready for this conversation.

Myrus Silvers

Location: The Palace Boat Launch

Myrus was a little bit startled, having not seen Luna walk up to him. It was fortunate however that he wasn't an imbecile and he didn't fall into the water as he scrambled to his feet and turned around to look at his sister. Guilt went through him. He should have done more for Luna, instead of secluding himself away. Valda's return had changed Luna's life and her future - she would not be Queen of the Castle most likely.

"Oh, um... Y-yeah, we can talk," Myrus stammered. "But Luna, er... I... I feel like I've been a complete and utter butthole lately... I'm really sorry that..." he then shook his head slightly and looked down, not entirely certain of how to finish the phrase. He then peeked up at his sister again, his eyes that were once violet were now red. Yet while in most that would have been a demonic and cool shade, it seemed gentle and kind in Myrus' face.

"So um... What is it you wanted to tell me?" he asked her. He couldn't help but wonder if Luna had considered that there were options for her other than ruling a country one day. She didn't have to marry into another family or wait for Valda to abdicate the throne or die. Her life could be filled with so much more...

Antonije Magnisky

Location: Wizard Tower - the Great Hall

In what was sadly turning into a bit of a pattern, Antonije was just staring at Sylvi, dumbstruck. Her Bardic Magyk and music had put him under her spell once more and he was powerless to stop it. Just as Cuyler had been helpless when Klara forced him to kiss Arya, so was Antonije now as he reached out and touched Sylvi's cheek. A shiver went down his entire body and his pupils dilated.

Marya and Medea had gotten up from the ground now, both of them back to health yet still with the Sickenesse in their veins. "Why aren't you green?" Marya asked Lance, her voice heavily accented. "Yeah! Why not?" Medea said, poking him slightly. Marya approved of her twin's idea and she started poking Lance as well and laughing her silly little head off. "Turn green for us!"

With Myth, Runa gave her a gentle smile and grabbed a cloth, aiding the bard in wiping away her tears. "I am sure your father is smiling down at you from Valhalla," she reassured her future daughter in law. Runa's parents and Lance's father were both running a little late. She would have expected them to show up already for the wedding, but there was still plenty of time for them to arrive.

"Don't worry, I'd cry too if I was marrying Brucey and carrying his baby, yuck," Astrid said with a smirk. Halley just shook her head slightly at her sister.

And back in the Great Hall, Antonije suddenly grabbed Sylvi tightly and picked her up, holding her incredibly close to him. His eyes looked a little wild and crazy, as if threatening anyone to get in between him and his 'mate.'

Princess Luna

Location: Palace - The Palace Boat Launch
Skills: N/A

Luna smiled slightly at her brother and shook her head slightly, he had been going through a lot himself since Valda's coronation and she had been going through her own problems as well. "You don't have to be sorry Myrus." Luna said, as she walked over and gave her brother a loving hug, she then sat down at the edge of the dock. Her feet dangling over the water, as she looked up at the sky letting out a slight sigh she felt better now after talking to Amarantha and Valda about what had been going on with her, as she gently patted the spot next to her for him to sit down.

Luna looked back up at her brother noticing that his eyes were now red, since the last time she had seen him, instead of her and Valda's eyes being a violet shade. "I tried to tell you this earlier in the day." Luna said softly as she let out another sigh and leaned back slightly. "I'm not going to be marrying Prince Tristan." Luna said as she looked back up at him, waiting for him to see his reaction. "Valda and Amarantha already know, so you have the right to know this as well." Luna paused for a moment as she moved her feet ever so slightly. "I've been hearing a voice in my head, since the Port Witches tried to kidnap me."

Arnora Skadidottir

Location: Snake Slipway
Skills: N/A

Arnora looked towards Grimspound as she stood just a little bit out of the center of the group, crossing her arms over her chest as she stared at him. Then she looked over towards the group of angry citizens, she felt bad for the kid wincing slightly seeing the M on his forehead. She did feel bad for the kid as she watch Grims going in to play the hero and try and get the kid out of the group mob, she stared over at Ahote for a moment to see what he would do next.

Then she heard the voice of one of the angry pissed off people, letting out a slight sigh as she rolled her eyes and decided to walk over towards the group. It was probably a really dumb choice on her part, as Anora stepped in front of the kid and Grimspound as he was pelted at with a few rocks. "Why don't we all, just calm the fuck down. What has the kid ever done to any of you?" Arnora asked, and if any of them got to close to her she would freeze them as well, looking over at Grimspound making a head movement to get the hell out of the group now.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The Palace Library
Skills:

Cuyler looked at the other people in the room. This just became increasingly hard, not to mention the obvious urine smell coming from Cuyler. He sighed and looked at them apologetic.
”There was an incident with a child and needing to use the washroom immediately. I would have gone to wash but…” He fell off as he looked directly at Arya. ”I wanted to say sorry for… everything earlier.” Honestly, where did he even start?
He looked at Queen Valda and bowed respectively. He was certain he should have done that as soon as he walked in the room but well, his priorities were elsewhere. Not in being a proper gentleman. He looked over at Rowland and smiled at him.
”Good to see you again Rowland.” It had been some time since Cuyler had seen the old Wizard. He wondered where he had drifted off too. He looked back at Arya and shoved his hands into his pockets. He was still very much young compared to not only Arya’s age but her maturity and knowledge as well.

Amarantha

Location: The Library ---> The Palace Hallways ---> The Palace Boat Launch
Skills:

Finally, after traipsing through the hallways yet again after delivering a little boy to his playmate, Amarantha and Lennox made it out to the Palace Boat Launch. There was also this little matter of falling over seemingly nothing and hitting the ground, hard. Amarantha sprung up quickly though, her face undamaged and looked over at Lennox. There was minor twinkle in his eyes but he said nothing, which was wise of him. Amarantha merely leveled him with a look that forbade him to tell anyone even on pain of death.
Stepping outside into the brilliant sun, Amarantha noted Prince Mryus and his sister speaking closely and she nodded to Lennox to fan out and guard the royals. Titan was on the other side of the door, observing something in the distance before his eyes roved again. He quickly acknowledged Amarantha’s presence but remained focused. She smiled, pleased he was taking this seriously.
Amarantha took up position as well, remaining present to give even more protection to the royals conversing. She also slipped off her shoes, deciding they were the culprits from earlier. She hooked her fingers into them and crossed her arms, looking all around them and listened to every single sound in the area, daring even a bird to get to close to the royals so she could take it out.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: Snake Slipway
Skills:

Surprisingly, both Arnora and Grimspound followed him to the site of commotion. They had after all just met but he knew there was a reckless, adventurous side within Grimspound that he wouldn’t be able to ignore. Arnora coming along was a blessing as well. If things got out of hand, it would be nice to have another backup.
The wedding was the furthest thing from Ahote’s mind as Grimspound got the crowd riled up again and they started throwing rocks. He rolled his eyes, exasperated and stepped up just as Arnora did as well. Ahote reached out and grabbed onto one of the assailants arms.
”I think that is enough,” he said. His voice remained level but there was still an authority to it. He wasn’t from this land but he was able to pick up on the basics of their language and speak it. He still had his heavy accent but his meaning would be made clear with his actions even if they couldn’t understand him. ”This violence, death, will not end your Sickenesse as you call it. Why kill when you can research what the cause is. You want to make a difference, do that.” He dropped the man’s arm and took a step back. He looked around the crowd now, addressing them all.
”This Magyk you use here, that is not the Sickenesse it is not the problem. If you allow it, it can be a rather beautiful thing,” he said and glanced over at Arnora, remembering her ice from earlier. Magyk is not the disease, this Sickenesse is.” He spoke with passion in his voice. Ahote wasn’t expecting everyone to roll over but even a few could sway the many.

But who says soft can't be strong?
- Unknown

Location: The Castle - Infirmary
Skills: N/A

Lyra's gaze turned to the infirmary door when she heard someone enter. She blinked, a bit surprised by the sudden entrance of a little girl. She was wearing the cutest little toy fairy wings, though Lyra's nose wrinkled slightly at the trail of urine that followed the young one. She looked back up at the entrance, expecting to see the girl's parents or other caretakers any minute now. The girl was too young to be running around the Castle all by herself after all. Surely someone was looking after her.

She looked down sharply, brows shooting up as the girl started yelling at her to listen. Lyra crouched down to get closer to the girl's eye level, her gaze softening despite the kid's incessant screaming. "I'm listening, little one," she spoke softly. Her lips thinned when the girl proclaimed that Amarantha said that she had to help the girl. Her gaze flitted back up to Skaoi for a moment as she fought the urge to roll her eyes. The Young Army woman was most certainly taking too much pleasure in Lyra's demotion. She soon returned her attention to the little girl, before standing up and holding out her hand. "Of course, but mind you, I do this for you and not for the commander."

Incredible change happens in your life when
you decide to take control of what you do have power
over instead of craving control over what you don't.
- Steve Maraboli

Location: The Castle - Third Corridor off the Long Walk
Skills: N/A

Tristan wandered aimlessly down the corridor. He pursed his lips as he mentally debated what to do. He was torn between searching out Princess Luna so they could hopefully talk things through and giving her the space she likely wanted and needed. He was afraid though that the longer he waited the less likely this alliance would ever happen. He knew what was at stake for his kingdom. He did. He just didn't like to dwell on it, as the weight of it was stifling. However, he knew he couldn't keep running. Running wouldn't solve anything. He needed to take control of his own destiny for once.

He let out a sigh as he came to a stop, his hands resting on his hips. The question was how did he do that? How did he convince the princess to marry him when she clearly did not want to and when she thought she was a danger to society? It was a hard question to answer, but he had to start somewhere. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a messenger rat scurrying down the hall. He suddenly lurched forward to race after it as an idea sprung into his head. "Hey, wait!" he called out.

Grabbing its attention, he stopped in front of it. "Can you please send a message to Princess Luna? I want the message to say that I--" he began, before hesitating. His brows furrowed, and he stared down at the ground for a moment as he grappled with how to word things. "I want to tell her that I wish to speak with her when she feels ready to. This alliance is very important to me and my kingdom. Many innocent people will die without it. I'm willing to make this work, if you are. I give you my word that I will remain loyal to you. Just please hear me out. End message."

Rhys Asher

Location: Enroute to Wizard Tower

Rhys was not keen on sticking to the main path. He wanted to get the the Wizard Tower and do so yesterday. True he would be a bit out of place, but the lure of power was great. It was a draw to him as the life force of other people were for the Elder God. Though as he crossed the maze of alleys.

"You mentioned Asgardians?" The Rogue Wizard noted with some amusement and irritation. He had heard nothing of that strange word before. Though it seemed to apply to a people. Interest sharpened his mind.

Skaoi Silverveil

Location: Infirmary -> Manuscriptorium

Skaoi was less than pleased when a small girl rushed into the infirmary. A less than pleasant stench following her. "While that is wise. I would suggest you do so elsewhere and not in a infirmary." Skaoi advised softly. It wasn't sanitary after all.

Her heart ached as she looked to the waiting figures on the bed. The Sickenesse was destroying them and she was feeling utterly helpless. Useless. Worthless. Closing her eyes tightly Skaoi's lips thinned as she thought of those she knew infected with the illness. Pleading the need of nature Skaoi fled the room. Walking quickly through the halls desperate to reach the Manscriptorium and fine an answer. Not thinking as to where she was going so much as the desperate need to find something.

Grimspound

Location: The Port => Snake Slipway

Skills:Charisma, Intuition and perception

"You assume much." Grimspound stated in a voice that rivalled the coldest winter winds of the North. The rocks that were flung at the Dyrki man paused in mid air before they rose in the air spinning about the man to block away any missiles. "I am no Wizard, not like the ones you know. The ones you know protect you from what is worse. Be glad for it." His green eyes were filled with annoyance as he looked down his nose. Though a part of him winced at the arrogance that was coming so naturally. But he could not stand how close minded and weak these people were.

"This Sickenesse spreads it is true but it does not mean Wizards have caused it. Look to the cure." Turning on his heel Grimspound too the form of a man sized dragon and lifted the branded Wizard in his talons before depositing the lad on his back. Lowering his body slightly he repeated the process with Arnora before scooping Ahote up in his talons. Spreading large, memberous wings Grimspound took to the skies and the Wizard Tower. Surely the Wizard would fare better among his own kind.

Richard Laine

Location:

Richard was not entirely pleased to be at the Palace again. Of course he had a fair reason. Killing Puck and all hadn't eased his mood. Letting Zekarra run about was putting a strain on the man. This place had been proven to be dangerous to his eyes and he didn't trust it.

Fingering the suit like jacket he wore Richard hovered at Thalia elbow. He wasn't sure on his wife's standing but he was interested in hatching another egg. A small thought he nurtured while watching the girl-dragon child grow up. Now a good deal older he appeared as he always had. Well dressed with a sly smile about his lips, and a protective nature to his bones as he observed the Palace. "Shouldnt we keep an eye on her, wifey?" The Adder worried.

Queen Valda

Location: The Palace - The Library

"It is good to see you too," she said to Rowland, giving him a bit of a smile. Hearing his other words about Arya made her frown slightly in her direction. Why did Arya feel the need to lie to her about that? Valda was concerned about Arya's well-being, so the fact that she felt the need to lie and not tell her the truth about things made her feel a bit sad. Not to mention it was somewhat annoying that Arya felt the need to lie about how she was doing, and she was grateful to Rowland for saying the truth about the fact.

"I didn't think you'd be doing that well anyway considering you passed out," she said simply, before glancing over at Cuyler. It seemed that he likely wanted to talk to Arya, and that didn't surprise her at all, and she looked over at the two wizards. "Well, I will take my leave, see you later Arya," she said before she exited the library, leaving the group alone for a while.

Sylvi the Bard and Bruce Banner

Location: Wizard Tower - the Great Hall

Lance was getting slightly annoyed by the twins. He was used to being around a speedster or two for obvious reasons, though he always did find them to be a bit on the annoying side. Of course, these two poking at him asking him to change colors was not the best thing in the world, and he partially wanted to blast the two of them, but figured that would make things worse or something. So instead, he took a deep breath and looked at them, "Not right now you two."

Bruce couldn't help but chuckle slightly at his dad, having to deal with the twins like that on a whim. Betting now his father was somewhat regretting giving them a piece of the apple and not finding some other way to help them out. Since the apple made them their normal selves after all. Though he was grateful for his father's help, since the twins were technically apart of their family. He glanced over at Tate, wondering what the hell was going on with him.

"T-T-Tate? What's going on?" she asked, a bit confused as to what was going on with him. This was not something she had expected, and she hadn't expected him to basically be under her control in anyway. That wasn't something that was supposed to happen at all, and this was really confusing for her. "This isn't supposed to happen I don't think..." she mumbled looking at him confused.

Without anything else in mind, or any other ideas, she felt that she had no other choice but to just smack him across the face. Sylvi felt sorry that she might hurt him or something, but she was running out of ideas to have him snap out of it. "S-S-Sorry ahead of time for that... But please, snap out of it Tate..." she said softly. This was all really confusing for her, and she had no idea what to do.

Thalia and Zekarra

Location: The Palace

Although they were technically there for a wedding, Zekarra was wanting to go off and do some exploring. She wasn't generally one to go to these sorts of thing, honestly she generally wasn't really one to leave their little home all too often, so she wanted to see what the Castle and Palace were like. Especially since from what she had been told, this was the place where she had hatched from her egg when she was born, and wanted to see the place.

Though, she couldn't help but wonder why her parents had been here of all places. It was vastly different from other places in the timeline that she had visited over the course of her life, and she certainly had met many interesting people. She did have a friend around the Castle somewhere, and it made her wonder where Rainbrook had gone. She had seen him earlier, but now was just getting a little ridiculous. Zekarra thought that he might know more about the Castle and be able to teach her or something.

Thalia's thoughts on going to the wedding were simple, and it was mainly her being courteous that she had decided to go in the first place, after all, she has known the Asgardian family for many years, a few were older than her. It had been a while since she had last paid a visit of sorts to Asgard, at least by her standards. She had no idea how much time had past for everyone else, things tended to be a bit strange in the timeline and she hardly noticed if anything had changed at all.

Of course, she did know for a fact how long it had been since she had last been at the Palace, and how long it had been for everyone else. It wasn't too long, maybe a half a year to a year or so maybe for them? There also was a problem for her, and that was she had figured it was better off to look older than her daughter, and for the longest time she was virtually stuck in the body of a 21 year old, it had been time to change that anyway. So now at least she looked closer to Richard's age, and definitely older than her daughter, that would have been weird. Wandering around with a girl who was your daughter who looked younger than you did.

Myth the Muse

Location: The Wizard's Tower

Myth chuckled and wiped the rest of her tears away. "Thank you all for helping me. Not sure I'd get this done without some aid. Things can and will go wrong, but hopefully, it all works out in the end. I'm worried about the twins and to that end, Tate as well." She checked herself in the mirror, approving her overall look.

"So Bruce went over it a bit, but just so I know, what's expected of me during the ceremony? I want to make sure I go it all right so I don't dishonor your customs." Truth be told, she had been worried about that since it was brought up. If she had her way, a simple ceremony was all she needed, but this was important to Bruce and his family. Plus, she looked damn good.

Fleur La Mallificum

Location: Witch's Road

Fleur bowed in respect. "A pleasure to meet you. It seems our goals align then." Fleur scanned the scene in front of her. It appeared to be from the past, but Magyk was still around. Even though Fleur could see the darkness, she could feel it too. If this was going on in the past, as well as other timelines, then surely it all had to be connected somewhere.

"It seems this Sicnesse is doing more damage than I thought. There must be a way to cure this that does not involve your life force being drained. That is why I am here. If I can find a cure, I can help my people. I know Lyte Magyk has helped, but there must be a way to tap into that without further getting ill." Fleur would not share her ulterior motive just yet. She just met the witch, after all.

Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 7:45 PM

@KazAlkemi@Nallore@LadyRunic: As could be predicted, the crowd did not take kindly to Arnora ordering them around. They changed their targets, throwing rocks at her. Luck was not on their side, as Arnora would manage to easily freeze them, their torsos and legs encased in ice. "It's Halley!" one of them from the Land of Long Nights cursed. Some of them looked at Ahote, taking in his words and if they could have walked off to disperse, they would have.

Ahote would be able to notice the subtle shift in auras. His words had compelled them - a few, but it was enough that the crowd's tension was gone. The young wizard with the M looked up at Arnora in wonder. "...Are you a seraphim?" he asked her. The poor thing was dazed, seemingly having a concussion as well as his other injuries. However, he didn't have much time for Grimspound paused the rocks telekinetically and redirected them, turning into a dragon and scooping him up.

The young wizard fainted, as did a fair number of people in the crowd.

"It's a bleemin' dragon!"

@LadyRunic: Chthon apparently decided that he was going to attempt to be helpful. "They think themselves to be gods - but they are nothing more than the children of real gods," he explained. Rhys would have no problem making it to Wizard Tower and the doors were open. A few wizards were welcoming people as they came inside, directing them towards where the wedding itself would be happening. Most were incredibly early still - just close friends and family of the happy couple. However, that didn't mean Rhys couldn't go and grab a seat early himself.

@LadyRunic@mnkee: Becky glanced over and chuckled slightly. "Good evening to you too, Miss Navi," she said, addressing the child. Navi stuck her tongue out at Becky and blew a raspberry. "Your brother is here!" Navi then proudly announced and Becky couldn't help but smile slightly. How Navi knew that Rowland was there was behind her, but she did enjoy any chance to go see her brother. They were rather close.

Navi then returned her attention to Lyra. She looked at Lyra suspiciously. "That's dumb. Amarantha is aaaamazing! She's like a fairy godmother of death!" Navi shrieked. She was so pleased with her own analogy that she started to do a little dance, only it also involved poking Lyra a lot. "So what are you supposed to be? Huh? Huh? Tell me, tell me, tell me! Hey tell meeee!"

Navi then looked at Skaoi and shrugged. "Amarantha said to come here!"

@FantasyChic: Wanda nodded slightly at Fleur. She had her own suspicions about what was poisoning Magyk across time and space. "Forgive me, but I do not think a cure is what we need - I think we might have better luck battling the source," Wanda explained, looking at Fleur. "There's a legend in my time that if you walk the Witch's Road long enough, you will find what you need... If you would care to accompany me, I would appreciate it. Our combined strength should be plenty to defeat whatever this infestation is..."

Arya Rincewind

Location: The Palace - the Library

Arya heard Cuyler's words, but they pained her. He had come to apologize to her, but it felt strange to Arya. She was no master of psychology by any means but... it just didn't sit quite right with her. She could not help but note that Klara, the woman from before, was nowhere to be seen. She just hoped the woman had not broken Cuyler's heart.

"Cuyler, may we speak in private later?" Arya asked. It wasn't really a suggestion however - more of her telling him that she didn't want to talk about this right now. She needed time to collect her thoughts, to allow logic to win out over emotion. She couldn't help but feel a bit deflated when Queen Valda left the library. Now there was only Rowland there to act as a buffer. She didn't want to deal with this yet. Of course, she knew that he likely wanted to speak about this now but...

Rowland seemed to understand Arya's hesitation. "We do have quite a lot of reading to do," Rowland agreed with his apprentice.

"Perhaps after the wedding ceremony at Wizard Tower..."

Myrus Silvers

Location: The Palace Boat Launch

Myrus hugged his sister back, his hands shaking slightly as he made contact with the back of her clothing. Klara's water therapy had helped him greatly however, as her cloak was not charged and there was no dangerous explosion. He was able to just be a teenage boy again, hugging his sister. It was so odd to think that just half a year ago, one of their largest problems to deal with was that Mavis Moll had dumped him.

He then laughed slightly. Lyra never did give Mavis that book, did she?

"Y-y-you're not marrying Tristan?" Myrus stammered, his eyes wide. However, Luna's next revelation caused Myrus to bite his lip and he hugged his sister tightly. Guilt washed over him that Luna had been dealing with this and hadn't had anyone to talk to about it. Tristan couldn't have really helped matters out. Dealing with a voice and being pressured to marry?

A message rat then scurried up to the prince and princess, and once having confirmed Luna's identity, it recited: "I wish to speak with her when she feels ready to. This alliance is very important to me and my kingdom. Many innocent people will die without it. I'm willing to make this work, if you are. I give you my word that I will remain loyal to you. Just please hear me out. End message."

Myrus looked at Luna. He hoped that she wouldn't change her mind, but it was up to her. However, he took the bracelet he wore from the Land of Long Nights and he threw it into the water. "Let's find our own path... Together, like when we were kids. Tristan doesn't get to make decisions for us..."

Antonije Magnisky

Location: Wizard Tower - the Great Hall

Marya sulked a bit, looking at Lance. What was the fun in someone who could turn into a scary green monster if they didn't, y'know, turn into a scary green monster? "Lame!" she scolded, before there was a gust of wind and Lance would find himself covered from head to toe in pink sparkly ribbons. They seemed to have been securely fastened to his clothing and Marya smirked, coughing up a bit of blood but in her mind, it was worth it.

Poor Antonije... Whatever Sylvi did to him, the enchantment wasn't wearing off just yet. He looked at her, before he started walking off to where he had seen broom closets earlier. Glancing around, as if challenging anyone to stop him, Antonije set her down inside of the closet and started to barricade it, that way Sylvi couldn't get out and no one else could get in. It was clearly the safest place for her at the moment as far as his mind was concerned..."Stay," Antonije told her gruffly from the other side of the door.

Back with Myth, Runa nodded understandingly. "The Magnisky line is... troubled," she said softly. "Just as they have extreme talents - typically in terms of swiftness or intellectual capacity - they are also marred with madness... I do not say this lightly or in an attempt to distress you, but you would be wise to keep an eye on the Magnisky siblings affairs. Violence comes naturally to them... even if they themselves are not yet aware of it."

Astrid rolled her eyes at her mother. "So negative!" she said, shaking her head. "You know Mum, people said the same thing about you because of You-Know-Who," she pointed out, referring to one of Runa's uncles.

"Why am I the only sane one in my family..." Halley mumbled, shaking her head slightly before she nodded a bit at Myth's question. She gave Myth as best a breakdown as she could, starting with how the officiant would do the invocation to Thor, how she and Bruce would exchange swords, and then exchange rings. After the ceremony, the only thing Myth really needed to know was that Bruce would carry her over the threshold into the feasting hall. The other traditions either were for the groom or for the guests.

"I am never getting married," Astrid said, wrinkling her nose.

Princess Luna

Location: Palace - The Palace Boat Launch
Skills: N/A

Luna looked towards her brother and smiled softly towards him, when he gave her a hug after she had told him what had been going on with her and returned it letting out a soft sigh. "Aww, he didn't get to make you explode." The Voice spoke up again, which made Luna wince slightly and shook her head slightly. She wanted to find someway to get rid of it, or some kind of treatment she didn't want to become the next Castle Legend. "I'm staying here, I feel that my place is needed here more than anything anyway." Luna said to her brother, when she looked over her shoulder seeing the Messenger Rat approaching them. Closing her eyes Luna let out a soft sigh as she knew that it was from Tristan and she needed to respond.

"Speak Rattas Rattas. I will speak to him, after the wedding tonight outside of my room." Luna said, once the Messenger Rat said the price and agreed to it, and sent the rat back on its way. Luna looked towards her brother and gave him a soft smile and nodded towards him as she gave her brother another hug. Luna did know that the alliance was very important, but she knew that if the wedding were to happen then they would also be brought into a war between the Eastern SnowPlains and the Land of Long Nights. "I am tired of being someone's political pawn." Luna admitted as she looked out towards the water for a moment, after being nearly CradleSnatched by the Port Witches, and the possibility of marriage and being sent away from her family as well. "What did you have in mind?" Luna asked looking over towards Myrus as she watched him throw the bracelet into the water.

Arnora Skadidottir

Location: Snake Slipway
Skills: N/A

Arnora glared at the armed men and women as they then started to turn their attention towards her now and started to throw their rocks towards her. Which didn't leave her to much choice as Arnora reached out and froze some of the angry mob in their place, and gave them an irritated glare. After her little bit of handy work Arnora looked towards one of them, she raised an eyebrow towards one of them that thought she was actually Halley, though yes she was part Asgardian but she wasn't Halley at all. But she decided to mess with them a little bit. "Yes, you should be scared and listen to me." Arnora said calmly.

She looked over her shoulder as Grimspound turned himself into a dragon which she wasn't even expecting at all, and grabbed the boy and eventually her onto his back, along with Ahote Arnora looked down at the group. One of them screamed about the dragon from below, as she waved towards them. She then looked down at the poor wizard boy for a moment and held him so that he wouldn't fall off at all, she wasn't sure what to say to the poor guy as he fell unconscious in her arms.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The Palace Library
Skills:

While Arya spoke to him, Klara’s words filtered in and out of his head. Give her time, be there for her, don’t push her… Cuyler couldn’t mask the pain from his face though when she turned him down. He wasn’t entirely sure how to describe how he was feeling at the moment but it wasn’t good. It was breaking, slicing.
It wasn’t so much what she said, it was how she said it. She didn’t have time for him. Rowland’s passive words didn’t help to sway his thoughts, he was already tipped over the edge.
Cuyler looked up at Arya, his blue eyes swimming, bluer than blue as he looked at Arya. His Arya.
Later… Private… I don’t have time for you, no one can know of this. Of us. Cuyler shook his head, sniffed and scrubbed his face in order to abate the pain.
”No, I don’t think I will be available after the ceremony.” He looked at Ayra, finally finding his resolve. Things were shifting, changing.
”I will always support you Arya, in everything that you do. I understand you feel the weight of the Castle on your shoulders and that you must solve this problem and I never thought I would require this from you but, I can’t be placed second anymore.” His words were true. Cuyler was content following after Arya, listening and waiting, being there to catch or raise her up but when Cuyler needed her support the most, she was gone. She was holed up in the library, talking to him as if he were a colleague and not a lover.
”I’m no longer a simple son of a Northern Trader but a son of a Asgardian with powers to control the tide at my fingertips if I wish. I need to understand what this means and take the opportunity to learn while it is presented to me.”
To think, earlier this day they were on the 21st Floor in Wizard’s Tower, talking of things they would do in private together.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Boat Launch
Skills:

Amarantha remained along the perimeter of the Palace boat launch. She moved around more than the two stationary guards did but she still heard everything the siblings said. When they first hugged, Amarantha stopped and watched Myrus carefully. Nothing occurred but she still had to be on her guard. She smiled to herself with their conversation and how the two of them seemed to grow closer in this moment. United in their desire to find their own way in this messed up world.
Amarantha watched the Messenger Rat scurry over to Luna to relay its message. Amarantha rolled her eyes at discovering it was from Prince Tristan. Honestly, the woman should just slap him around a few, see if he still sticks around after that. He was more annoying then the flying bugs during the heat of summer. After the rat took Luna’s reply away, Amarantha stepped forward.
”My apologies,” Amarantha interrupted and bowed. ”The wedding is almost upon us and I wanted to introduce you to your personal guard Prince Mryus. This is Lennox Bennett. He goes where you go, no matter what I am afraid. He’s been briefed on the occurrences of today and has assured me he is up for the challenge.” In all honesty, Lennox didn’t even say if he was okay with being strapped to the Prince or not, Amarantha didn’t exactly give him the option. ”He’s been part of the Palace Guard for a few years and comes from a line of nobles within the Castle. I think he’ll be a good fit,” she said with a smile.
Lennox walked over and bowed respectfully to his new charge. He didn’t say much. Never did really.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: Snake Slipway
Skills:

Between the three of them, the crowd seemed to calm some. Ahote relaxed a bit as a swirl of colours moved over the crowd, attaching to a few people. There was understanding and awe within their faces. More so when Arnora used her powers and then Grimspound made a rather loud statement. Ahote was hoping to pacify the crowd with less excitement but the dragon seemed to instill fear into the crowd. Fear was a powerful motivator but it could also a dangerous one.
Dragons weren’t exactly, native to The True North. When Ahote was gathered up, he panicked a moment but Arnora seemed quite relaxed, while the Wizard had completely passed out. Ahote looked down at the terrified crowd. The next several hours would be rather interesting in this place.

But who says soft can't be strong?
- Unknown

Location: The Castle - Infirmary
Skills: N/A

Lyra glanced back over at Skaoi and gave a small nod of her head in understanding. Her blue-green eyes then flitted over to Becky before looking back down at the girl--Navi was her name she now knew--with a smile. However, the smile soon faded at Navi's words. She was a young and impressionable little girl who knew not what she was saying. Or maybe she did? If she was raised up by the Young Army that is, she could very well be the offspring of tragedy. It was truly a sad thought that someone so young could already know just how cruel the world truly was.

Despite how happy Navi seemed right then as she danced around, Lyra's heart felt a little heavier right then, and no amount of poking and prodding would change that. She lightly shook her head. "Navi, death is nothing to aspire to or to celebrate," she stated. However, as the girl's next words washed over her, she had to take a pause. What was she? She knew what she was to them, but what was she to herself? She bit her lip, as she stared off in thought for a moment. Something seemed to flicker through her eyes, before she finally looked down at Navi.

"I'm a warrior," she replied resolutely. "A warrior with a servant's heart because who says soft can't be strong. Now, come Navi. Let me help you get cleaned up."

Incredible change happens in your life when
you decide to take control of what you do have power
over instead of craving control over what you don't.
- Steve Maraboli

Location: The Castle - Third Corridor off the Long Walk ⇢ Palace Courtyard
Skills: N/A

Tristan let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair as the messenger rat scurried off. He hoped he was doing the right thing. Maybe he should have given her more time, but at the same time, he needed her to know sooner rather than later that he was in this for the long haul, regardless of her apparent mental instability. He slowly made his way through the corridor, making a beeline for the nearest exit.

Walking out into the Palace courtyard, he took in a deep breath of the fresh air. He looked around at the sights but purposefully avoided the area where he had trained with Fyror and Lyra earlier this morning. The loss of Fyror, his best friend, was still too raw. But, as much as it pained him, he knew that now was not the time for mourning. He would have time for that when his kingdom was not under threat. The question was how long would that be, or was this really just the beginning of the end for the Land of Long Nights?

Queen Valda

Location: The Palace

Valda was a bit curious as to what the conversation between Cuyler and Arya was about, but she figured it likely was at least a somewhat important one. It was also likely a conversation that they needed to have in her mind, that much was obvious, so she was more than happy to remove herself from that situation so that they could talk things over. Now she was contemplating what to do, since she knew that the wedding was likely going to be starting somewhat soon, it was getting pretty late anyway. Maybe she should head towards Wizard Tower, to see how everything was going.

It was decided in her mind then, the wedding was starting somewhat soon, so she'd head towards the Tower, it was better to show up early than late, no matter what. Valda headed down the hallway, and started making her way outside of the Palace in order to get to Wizard Tower. She was glad that there seemed to be something good happening in the Castle, considering how many things have gone wrong over the past few months. Now she was just sort of hoping that nothing bad did happen, but knowing the track record, odds of that were slim.

Sylvi the Bard and Bruce Banner

Location: Wizard Tower - the Great Hall

"Uh, Tate?" Sylvi said, wondering what the hell was going on and why hitting him hadn't worked like it should of. What was going on? She was so confused, she had no idea what was even really going on with things, figuring that something was seriously wrong, maybe even with her own bardic powers or something. Could something have gone wrong? Maybe she had more to learn about her abilities, maybe she shouldn't have used them like that... But nothing was ever making any sense at all.

And did Tate just lock her in a closet? Why the hell would he do that? This was making absolutely no sense still, and she found that he had barricaded the door, so she couldn't get out unless someone let her out. "Tate? Can you let me out?" she called through the door, wondering what was going through his head.

Bruce was slightly distracted by what Tate had just done. Now why the hell was he locking his girlfriend in a closet? That was a bit weird. He looked over at his father, and couldn't help but chuckle slightly at what the twins had done. The two were definitely a pair of pranksters, reminded him of the stories his father told of a different speedster. Lance looked over at Bruce, rolling his eyes slightly at his son.

"You really should do something about those twins," he said, shaking his head., before he went to work pulling the ribbons off. Bruce was still chuckling slightly at that, before he went to work helping him out.

"Well, probably," he said, before he turned towards the twins. "You two need to behave, no pranks, no jokes or anything, none of that at all today, okay? You two will be in serious trouble if you cause any more problems."

Thalia and Zekarra

Location: The Palace

"Don't call me that Richard... And honestly, you worry way too much Richard. It'll be fine, and she isn't exactly defenseless should she run into any trouble. I'm sure everything will be fine." Thalia said to him with a slight smile. She understood why Richard was worried, but he needed to calm down a bit. Odds were that worrying about their daughter was just going to give him major gray hair or something. Though the thought of that was a bit amusing to her.

"Don't worry father, I just want to go exploring!" Zekarra said with a smile, before she hurried even farther ahead of her parents. Sometimes she knew that her curiosity could be a bad thing, but she couldn't help it, not right now. She was back where she was born, and now she wanted to get to know the place. Maybe even meet a few people, she wouldn't mind running into anyone else. It was a bit boring just sitting around doing nothing.

Thalia chuckled slightly at the girl, it was interesting, and to think it had been many years since she had been her age. That was an entirely different life, one in which she was a completely different person. The thoughts started reminding her of when she was younger, before she ended up becoming a dragon like this. Her mind now was finding it difficult to get her mind off of that, and it made her wonder how her life would have gone had that never happened to her.

Zekarra hurried down the hallway, almost running really. She was wondering where her friend Rainbrook was, and now she was hoping to run into him. It would be nice to see him, someone familiar in this strange place after all. Nothing was really familiar, and she wanted to know the world that she was born into. This place was strange, and she wanted to explore it with her friend.

Myth the Muse

Location: The Wizard's Tower

Myth listened dutifully, ensuring she remembered everything. She would be the one to forget what step was next and cause conflict among the gods and mortals causing all sorts of calamity. Okay, maybe it wouldn't go that far, but she was stressed out, hormonal, and very worried. She mustered her best smile though. [color-F0DAE2]"I think I got all that. Worse comes to worse, I screw it all up and anger the gods that could literally strike me down where I stand. No pressure though right?"

Humor aside, the did listen to Runa's words. She hoped the siblings would act appropriately during the ceremony but considering Tate nearly knocked her senseless before she wasn't so sure that would be a thing. She would have appreciated having a minute alone with them to talk before all of this, but there was little time to do so.

Instead, she had to finish getting ready for her own wedding. A feat she still could not believe.

Fleur La Mallificum

Location: Witch's Road

It struck Fleur that this whole time she had assumed the Sicknesse going around was something that needed to be cured, not something that could be battled. This witch seemed to understand it better than herself. And if things seemed to be going that way, then perhaps the Witch's Road was the right place for her. The Witch spoke true, if you walked the path you would find your answers. Fleur hoped as such, though the answers didn't seem likely what she had anticipated.

"I would welcome the aid then. I am unsure what to expect. I have traversed the Road a few times in my life, but never towards a certain destination that could unravel other times. It seems this will be a new experience then. And one, I hope, will provide answers as well as results." With that, she waited for the other witch and the two made their way down the road.

Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 8:00 PM

@KazAlkemi@Nallore@LadyRunic: ~feel free to proceed, dice have ruled that you are all in the clear~

@LadyRunic: ~will update here once Rhys is posted for~

@mnkee@BlueSky44: Out in the courtyard, the wizard called Rainbrook was sitting in the middle, pouring over some notes in a journal. He looked to be a little pale and sickly, looking around nervously and then at his hands. They seemed to be turning transparent, as if he was slowly fading away. Tristan would be able to spot him from where he was and as for Thalia and Zekarra, they'd be able to spot Rainbrook through one of the windows in the corridor.

@LadyRunic@mnkee: Navi looked up at Lyra, rolling her eyes at her. She was the daughter of some of the Young Army Commanders and thanks to the diverse background of the Young Army, she knew plenty when it came to death. It was celebrated in some places. "Lots of people celebrate death, silly!" Navi said, twirling around with her fairy wings again. "There's entire feast days! I love the feast days! So much food, music, celebration, honoring those who died for the army! It's fantastic!"

However, she then looked at Lyra and wrinkled her nose. "I bet a wolverine would eat you!" she giggled.

@FantasyChic: Wanda nodded, giving Fleur a smile. She really did enjoy her company. "You strike me as very confident and capable - not very many are," she lamented. In her own time, Wanda was one of the more formidable users of magic. There were so many who only scratched the surface of what was possible, so it was refreshing to see someone like Fleur. As they continued to walk down the Witch's Road, time would seem to hold still.

Eventually, the path darkened considerably. "Our first task," Wanda murmured. She held out her hand and red energy seemed to swirl around it, illuminating ghouls that looked like gelatinous blobs. "Between the two of us, we should make quick work of these."

Arya Rincewind

Location: The Palace - the Library

Arya took a breath and Rowland was about to intervene, but she raised her hand and cut him off. "Rowland, I can handle this," she told him calmly. Arya had not grown up in the most stable of environments. Her parents constantly fought, screaming at each other whenever her father came home drunk. Her mother taught Arya to become perfect - to always be calm and rational and to avoid emotional outbursts. Rowland hesitated for a moment, nodding at Arya as he left the room and went to search for his sister.

Arya then looked at Cuyler, her mind whizzing as she thought of a thousand possible things she could say to him. However, his words broke her heart and it was taking all of her strength to not explode. She took a shaky breath, her hands quivering slightly until she neatly folded them and forced them to stay still. If she could control her body, then she could control her feelings and emotions. "I made a vow to the Castle, Cuyler," Arya said, breaking the silence. "To protect it from harm no matter the cost; to sacrifice personal pleasure and luxury so that it may thrive; to give up myself, body, spirit, and soul if so required."

"I never put you second, Cuyler," she told him. Her hands felt cold. "I place myself second because it is my duty!" She took a breath, setting aside the books she had been studying. "Do you think so little of me that I would somehow would treat you differently from this increased status - that you are the son of what you call a god?"

"I love you for you, Cuyler - not because of who your family is or because of what power you wield or what line of nobility you are from. If such things matter to you, then I suppose you would be horrified to know that I am the daughter of a failed Sub-Wizard - a drunkard - and a prideful Alchemist."

She passed back and forth slightly across the room, thinking still. She normally liked to have time to prepare her thoughts and collect them. Instead, this was all raw. Her heart ached and she was a least moderately upset that they were in a library of all places having this conversation. They were supposed to be a place of solace and refuge. "I really hope you find what you're looking for, Cuyler."

"Perhaps you'll be better served with a woman of high standing and nobility to befit your powers and need to control those you love." A tear fell from her eyes and slid down her face.

Myrus Silvers

Location: The Palace Boat Launch

Myrus gave Luna a slight smile. He didn't really know what he had in mind with Luna exactly, but then as he looked out into the water, an idea came to him. Maybe if Luna liked the idea, they could talk to Valda about it and put it into action. Their lives were all about politics - as much as they ruled the Castle, they were essentially servants to it and its people. "It's nice to meet you, Lennox," Myrus said with a smile, acting more and more like his old self.

He had studied a lot of the legends of the Land of Long Nights, in search of an escape and comfort. But what had his dream always been? It was to sail the open sea, to discover new and exciting things, to feel his blood pump in his veins. Myrus didn't want to rule the Castle or to be eventually married off to some adjacent kingdom as a result of a treaty. He didn't want that for his sisters either. It had taken him a bit to realize it, but Valda had likely been better off in the woods with the witches.

"Amarantha, could I have a moment alone with my sister?" Myrus asked. He didn't want to tell anyone else of his plans. And then, whether Amarantha moved away or not, he leaned in and whispered in Luna's ear. "Let's run away... We can board a ship and leave the Castle far behind. Me, you, and Valda," he proposed. His voice was so quiet that only Luna would be able to hear him - not Amarantha or Lennox or anyone else.

"You don't have to answer now, just... just think about it, okay?"

Antonije Magnisky

Location: Wizard Tower - the Great Hall

Antonije slowly came to his senses, finding himself standing outside of the barricaded door. He blinked a bit, incredibly confused as to what had happened. Using his telepathy, he quickly tapped into Sylvi's mind and reviewed her memories of what had happened. He couldn't help but turn bright red, witnessing the way he had been behaving. It was almost carnal, animalistic... Sorry... he whispered into her mind, moving things out of the way so she could leave the closet.

Marya and Medea looked at Bruce and Lance defiantly. One could practically see a realization on how to get away with this dawn on Marya's face as she smirked at her adoptive grandfather and adoptive father. "What pranks?" Marya asked, doing her best to sound pitiful as she purposefully coughed. "We can't do anything. We're too sick." She then sniffed loudly for added effect, trying her best not to giggle throughout this little stunt. "Also what do you mean by serious trouble? Constance would lock us underneath a cabinet or something so... you kinda have to learn to beat that."

Runa looked at Myth, a bit perplexed by her words. "People need to stop taking Forseti so seriously... We hardly ever come down and smite people. If it happens, it was most likely some sort of accident," she clarified. Forseti was the son of Baldur and was known as a God of Justice and Retribution. Some people thought he was responsible for Reconciliation as well, a fact that made Runa laugh whenever it came up. Her brother had a vengeful streak.

"So really, why are you marrying my nerd of a brother?" Astrid asked Myth, using some 21st century slang she had picked up from her father, Lance.

Rhys Asher

Location: Wizard Tower

"The children of real gods you say? How quaint." Rhys poked the thought with annoyed interest. He had been hoping to slip into the higher chambers of the Wizard Tower. Arrive early had done him little favors, and walking across that thrice Cursed talking floor would only give him more problems, or such was what he expected. Nothing had been going right and now hosting a unwelcomed guest, to put it mildly, was far from comforting.

Looking about the room, he tapped his fingers along his thigh. Ideally he would want to slip away, perhaps scare some pathetic youngster into submission by consuming his friend. Get into the books and figure out the answer to Elder God's question as well as his own. Though the latter would be harder by far to do. The Ordinary Wizards and Apprentices were the only ones being allowed up the stairs into the depths of the tower. Smiling wickedly the man had the most horrific idea. Finding a shadowy bit to slip into the man cast a Disguise charm to make him appear as the first of the Elder God's victims and slipped up the stairs. "Soon. First we need information."

Skaoi Silverveil

Location: Infirmary -> Manuscriptorium

Skaoi had been gazing over her notes, the pile of books she had been reading as well, looking for any mention of 'Burning Fever', any connects of plagues to the Witch Mothers or Dark Wizards, and the 'Sleeping Dead'. While she wasn't sure this had anything to do with the illness the physik was desperate for information. Anything to help heal her patients, and spare her the wrenching of her heart when she had to pronounce one dead. Rubbing tired pale eyes, Skaoi looked up at hustle and bustle of the Manuscriptorium.

She hated to leave her patients but she needed some place she could quietly read her notes. Some place to think. Which was proving difficult. The staff were on edge and rushing about. Sighing, Skaoi hadsettled for what she could find in the Manuscriptorium. and began again with the notes. This time finding something a bit more fruitful in a child's story about a witch who had to deal with something wrong with magic itself. Her brows furrowed in irritation, Skaoi considered this new information.

Grimspound

Location: Outside Wizard Tower

Skills:

Irritated and annoyed, the small dragon swept his wings to shape the winds. He did not care for the madness of cities for they often bred such within them. What was bothering Jazen 'Grimspound' Dyrki was the fact that men had turned on one another out of ignorance. He had seen such walking the roads before and been a victim of it. Usually he was able to get out of the trouble, but it raked his hide the wrong way when he had seen that mob branding a young wizard for being what he was. Because they were afraid of a Sickenesse. Irrational thoughts had clouded their minds just as the irrational rage had clouded his. Drifting down he circled the castle and the Wizard's Tower, a place he knew by description alone, looking for a place to land and to dislodge his three passengers.

Spying what appeared the be a dragon sized landing pad at the top of the largest tower in the area, Grimspound's mood lightened as he drifted towards it. The winds buffeting about him as Jazen backwinged to a elegant landing, hinting this was not the first time he had flown. Shifting he deftly set Ahote on his feet, followed by a dip of his shoulder to side Arnora off, and finally the unconscious Wizard. Noting the sealed window as he shifted back, Jazen frowned adjusting his cuffs. "This is a louder entrance than I planned on making. Alas, it cannot be helped. Purely genius." The man muttered in irritation, as he eyed the windows with a glittering intent a hand raising to smooth his dark hair back.

Richard Laine

Location:The Palace

He wasn't worried, he just wasn't taking his child's safety for granted. Perhaps he was a bit over protective, goodness knew that Ayita his younger sister had felt it enough. Felt and commented in her own way. Seeing Zekarra race off to find Rainbrook most likely made him twitch uncomfortably. She was a young woman, perhaps a bit naive in the ways of the world, and fully able to protect herself. He had no reason to worry! She had her mother's powers, his looks, her own overly friendly and free personality.

"I am not worried, just..." Richard coughed slightly as he cleared his throat and bought himself time to think. "I'm just not assured completely of the safety of the Palace, and I'd rather not get chased out for setting fire to the place. Again." He wrapped an arm about Thalia, pulling her a bit closer in a side hug. Though there was doubt in his voice as he glanced sideways down at the dragoness. "Do you regret it my dear? Taking me as your husband? Or is there another reason for your dour mood?" Taking a step, Richard gently urged Thalia to start walking, lest she get run over by some rushing servant for there were a few and someone was bound to come running this way for something or other.

Then again that might just be his own take with Weddings.

Princess Luna

Location: Palace - The Palace Boat Launch
Skills: N/A

Luna turned her head slightly seeing her friend Amarantha approach, and stared at the man named Lennox who would be her brother's personal guard from now on. She turned to look at her brother for a moment and smiled slightly, she had forgotten to mention that right now as well after having their talk earlier in the day. "I forgot, Amarantha, Valda and I agreed that you needed a personal bodyguard." Luna said softly to her brother, and smiled seeing that he was acting like his normal self again. "Oh, and to protect the others around him from going boom, boom." The Voice laughed again in her head.

When her brother asked Amarantha for a moment, and stared at her brother as he whispered towards her it was an idea that she didn't really think of. And Luna was surprised that he even suggested their sister do it as well, as much as Luna wanted to go out and about to find her own path. Luna wasn't sure what to think about his suggestion yet, as much as Luna wanted to leave she didn't want her home to go into chaos. "I'll think about it Myrus.." Luna whispered softly towards him.

Luna then stood up and offered a hand to help her brother up. "If you still want to, did you want to go to the wedding at the Wizard's Tower, figured we could go together and have some fun tonight?" She asked him, Luna wasn't sure if she wanted to go with Tristan right now, she still really did not want to talk about her mental illness right now, she wanted to go out and have a bit of fun for once.

Arnora Skadidottir

Location: Snake Slipway
Skills: N/A

Arnora looked down at the city below, it was certainly something that she didn't expect this evening as she could see the wizards tower in the distance. She made sure that she was holding onto the poor branded wizard tightly as soon as they were close to what looked like some kind of landing pad, Arnora slid off of Grimspound and made sure that she held onto the boy. Arnora took a moment to admire the secenery a bit as she felt the slight breeze going through her hair.

"Well when were you going to share with the group that you could do that?" Arnora asked him, and smiled slightly as Arnora took a moment and walked over to Ahote and stood next to him. "Are you okay?" Arnora asked him, and then looked over towards the door, she did think about using her ability to freeze the door and break it open that way. But Arnora knew that it was most likely a really bad idea to do so as well.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The Palace Library
Skills:

Cuyler’s eyes remained on Arya, even as Rowland moved to leave them. The two of them remained and he watched Arya as she began to pace and speak. Tears made tracks down Cuyler’s eyes as he listened to her correct him. A brief flicker of rage flowed through Cuyler at her observation of him putting status above them. Did she honestly think that was the statement he was making? Arya was far out of his league, even now he believed that. No, when Cuyler made that statement he was referring to the control he needed to learn so he didn’t harm her again, like he had before and right now, Cuyler was getting dangerously close to losing control as wave after wave of emotion crashed through him.
Then there was this vow she made to the Castle. To put it's people above her and everything she ever desired. Well, Cuyler wasn't part of the Castle or the people here and if Arya was stating she was putting herself second, then didn't Cuyler still fall into that category? Or was he even lower still.
”Perhaps a Wizard who understands this vow would be better suited to you as well,” Cuyler pushed out. His chest started to burn and become heavy with the words he just spoke out loud, words he had confirmed Arya had said. His throat tightened as he struggled to breathe around the breaking of his own heart. Even the death of his family, of his village wasn’t this devastating.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Boat Launch ---> Wizards Tower
Skills:

Amarantha smiled, pleased to hear Myrus accepting of Lennox and Luna’s assurance of the discussion they had had earlier in regards to the Prince’s safety. The Prince then turned to Amarantha and asked for a private moment with his sister. He seemed in good spirits though and Amarantha nodded, backing off just as the Prince leaned in to whisper to his sister. It must be some secret for even Amarantha couldn’t hear a thing the Prince said.
She looked at Lennox and nodded for him to return to his post. With the Prince now guarded and Luna with her guard, Amarantha left. She took to the Palace halls, nodding to servants as she passed and reminded the guards to be diligent as she passed them back onto the streets of the Castle. She maneuvered through the growing crowd with ease, listening for anything amiss as she made her way to the Tower for the wedding. Once at the tower she made her rounds to all on guard, confirming their positions and their readiness for the wedding and what distractions may befall them from having so many people in one place.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: Snake Slipway ---> Wizards Tower
Skills: Enhanced Condition

The Castle opened up below them as they flew and Ahote drank everything in. He held onto the talon’s of Grim’s dragon though, a slight fear of being dropped but he didn’t let that stop him from looking around. With his enhanced sight, everything looked more brillant from up here. The adrenaline coursing through Ahote at the moment most likely helped that as well. They started to slow and Ahote realized that the dragon was about to land. He gripped tighter, worried he was about to be stood on but Grimspound released Ahote expertently onto his feet. He let out a heavy breath, feeling much better with his feet firmly planted on the ground. Grims shifted back and fixed his appearance while Arnora made comment on his holding back. Ahote had to agree with the woman as he ran a hand through his own hair, using his fingers to take some of the tangle out.
Ahote looked around them. Now how would they get down from the top of the building. He noted the sealed window as their only means of exit. Well, Ahote could help with that, hopefully there would be a near enough floor on the other side of that window. Arnora walked over to him then and inquired about his well-being. He looked over and smiled at the woman with a nod.
”As invigorating as that new form of transportation was, I feel much more comfortable being on the ground,” he said and looked over at the wizard they had just saved. ”We should get him some help.” Ahote moved away from Arnora to the window. He looked around the well enforced window, looking for a hold in which he could grab onto and pull. Rolling his shoulders back, Ahote grabbed onto the framing and pulled, the force of which caused the window to shatter.
Although Ahote was covered in glass shards and cut multiple times, it mattered little as within seconds he healed completely. As the cuts sealed over though he felt a bit, off. Not in such a bad way but the Magyk from the window seemed to tingle up his bloodstream and through his body. Not sure what to make of it, Ahote brushed some of the glass away so they wouldn’t cut themselves before he stepped back and looked at Arnora.
”Après vous,” he said, waving Arnora forward. He moved back to the Wizard in order to help him into the building.

But who says soft can't be strong?
- Unknown

Location: The Castle - Infirmary
Skills: N/A

Lyra listened patiently as Navi spoke, even through the bit where she more or less got schooled by a little girl. It crossed her mind that her choice of words earlier were lacking and poorly thought out beforehand. She of course knew that some celebrated death as a means of honoring those lost, and she found nothing wrong with it within that context. She pursed her lips thoughtfully, before nodding her head in seeming agreement with Navi's sentiment. However, she still felt a twinge in her heart that a child was so embroiled in the matters of life and death. Then again, in this day in age with the Sickenesse ravaging the lands, it was almost unavoidable. One could dream though, dream of a time when kids could just be kids.

She blinked slightly as she seemed to come to again, out of her thoughts and back to the present. She stared at Navi for a moment as the girl giggled, clearly in disbelief that the servant before her was anything akin to a warrior. Lyra's gaze flicked up again, just as something flickered through her eyes. It was hard to tell exactly what, but the look in her eyes had grown in intensity. She wondered what rumors Amarantha had fed the girl, and the whole Young Army for that matter, about her. She was a plaything now, was she not? The laughing stock of the Castle if Amarantha had any say about it. Constantly misunderstood, constantly underestimated, constantly--tread upon. "Come along, Navi," she finally spoke up, her voice was more or less deadpan. She then made to lead the little girl out of the infirmary in order to get her cleaned up.

Incredible change happens in your life when
you decide to take control of what you do have power
over instead of craving control over what you don't.
- Steve Maraboli

Location: The Castle - Palace Courtyard
Skills: Perception

Tristan once again found himself wandering around aimlessly, though this time it was out in the courtyard rather than in the Palace corridors. Perhaps that was a bit of an improvement? Yeah, probably not. But whatever. He looked around, seeing if anything of note was happening. He figured most of the "action" was happening down at the Wizard's Tower in preparation for the large wedding that was to be held tonight. He had been originally intending to go to it with Princess Luna, but that clearly wasn't happening. He still hadn't heard back from her after all.

"That probably isn't a good sign," he muttered to himself, just as his gaze landed on a lone wizard. His head tilted to the side slightly as he watched the man curiously. The wizard seemed rather distraught, sickly, all of the above, and potentially more. Tristan decided to just walk over to him and see if he was alright. Well, to see what wasn't alright. I mean, the man clearly wasn't alright, what with the way he was looking around nervously and then down at his hands. The last time Tristan had seen that look it was after someone's untapped water powers had just reared their ugly head. He vaguely wondered if this interaction was going to require him to change his clothes again.

"Yo, wha--" he began, before stopping midsentence when he saw how the man's hands were literally disappearing. "Uh. You might want to get that checked out."

Myth the Muse

Location: The Wizard's Tower

Even Myth knew that upsetting a god was not a smart choice, even if Runa made light of it. She would rather make sure she did everything correctly than not. Plus, it was her day too. She wanted things to go right. "Be that as it may, I'd rather be sure of what I am supposed to do. If I am going to be attached to this new family of literal gods, I would rather come in with them liking me than them being unsure."

"And to answer your question, I am not quite sure what a "nerd" is, but considering you are his sibling I will assume it is a humorous insult. I don't know. When I first met him he made my stomach tense up. I literally jumped in his lap when I walked up to him. After that, I don't know, I just found myself drawn to him. The way he looks at me when I speak or sing. Plus, you know, child coming. Would like him to have a father."

Fleur La Mallificum

Location: Witch's Road

Fleur didn't let the compliment pass her. "I do my best. I believe I have earned the title Witch Messiah where I am from. I gather you are maybe not so revered in yours? A pity, I am sure as you seem quite capable of handling yourself. Any who cross you surely will regret it." As the two walked, it began to get darker. Soon, they came upon blob-like entities.

While seeing these things was not unheard of, it was by no stretch a normal occurrence. "It seems like we got company. Let's make them regret showing up." With her power, she summoned Dark Magyk and rained down a lighting storm upon them. She struck one of the blobs and it exploded in a puss-like puddle.

"Well, that is truly disgusting."
