~M'ARASH~

~The King~

TIME: Present | LOCATION: The Abyssal Maw - Vesania - Vilor'Akash The Lightless City | INTERACTION: None | THEME: Melody of The Abyss

M'arash reclined upon his throne and smiled to himself as he felt another mortal gaze upon his maddening sign. His eye, as it were. While he couldn't actually see through the signs themselves, he could feel them. More specifically the way they slowly wormed their way into the mind's and psyches of those who looked upon them. It was a symbiotic relationship that anyone else besides him, be it a god or mortal, would probably find strange.

Not that he cared of course. He had stopped concerning himself with what others, such as his divine siblings Athrú and Ahmenophus, thought of his actions long ago. After all, why should their opinions matter?

They would fall to his madness in the end, just like everything else.

All that aside however, he found the way his sign affected different peoples minds very interesting. Over the course of his ten thousand year existence he had felt and observed some people become gibbering lunatics, incapable of doing anything other than roaming around and raving like feral beasts, after looking upon his sign, while other's had become infected with a more subtle insanity.

He found these sleeper agent types, the one's who could appear completely sane and blend in with normal mortal societies while still subconsciously being under his influence, the most useful.

And it seemed like this particular female mortal whose mind he had ensnared was one of the latter, which was perfect as it had been awhile since he'd checked on current event's in Tabrasa. Reaching out a withered hand, M'arash took control of her mind through the sign and hijacked her auditory organs. From what he could tell, she seemed to be in a back alley behind a temple to one of the old gods, though which one it was dedicated to or what city it was in, he couldn't tell. Directing the woman to listen intently to her surroundings, he searched for any conversations regarding the old gods, or their possible return. The only thing he heard however, was the sound of a gentle breeze and birds chirping.

It seemed as though they were still gone. For surely an event as monumental as the old gods return would be met with chaos in the streets rather than the same old boring sounds of nature he had just encountered.

Letting out an annoyed tsk, M'arash carefully detached himself from the mortal woman's somewhat dazed mind. While he didn't really care about the well being of human's, he did not wish to lose another sleeper agent due to a careless mental disconnect. He'd made that mistake in the past and it had cost him a valuable foothold in the village of White Dawn. One that he couldn't regain due to their newfound suspicions about his sign and how it had affected one of their own.

Resting his withered hand on the armrest of his twisted and warped throne, the god of madness slipped back into thought once again.

Where did the squabbling old gods go and when would they return? And how would their return, if it did happen, affect his work in the mortal plane?

Such questions, especially one's with no clear answers, troubled him greatly.

Ral

Ral the god of treasures was a bit taken aback by the sudden approach at the eyes, literally. “You know, poking a man’s eye isn’t ladylike, I should say.” Ral held the hands of the goddess of fear and darkness. Or the place that was supposed to be the hands of the goddess Oao. His two hands, as if it was real, gently caressing the hands of the goddess of the Night.

Knowing very well that he couldn’t touch her, but he wanted to be a bit playful for a while. To a goddess that he hasn’t talk a lot in the long run. That was when the great arching doors opened. A mere dream, yet she interacted more in a dreamy world than the rest of the realm.

The door lead to a long table that has an intriguing sight to the likes of the gods of treasures. A long pit of ever familiar items that was in the hands of the other chords. Some looked useful, especially with the name of his on the aspect of the fine treasures.

The fine letter of his handwriting, the chord of his weren’t on this box, he wasn’t sure what does this mean. But it doesn’t look like the kind of trap that could be woven by any of his fellow siblings. For now, what to do here is more of the concern. A realm of dreams, that aren’t of the world of any gods or living.

Athrú/Arú - Goddess of Change

Arú, Athrú,

Laying in the center of her forest, the young goddess awoke to the natural sounds around her. The shifting of air as a bird darted through it, the churning of soil as the trees continued their slow but noticeable march, and the scurrying of other animals that had adapted to this strange forest.

Getting up off the ground and stretching, Arú thought back to when she had first awoken, back to a time where there were so many more sounds within the forest. The sounds of strange, unbelievable creatures hunting each other down in an effort to survive another day, the sounds of plants ill suited to this environment slowly dying as time went on, and the sounds of awkward existences slowly fading away or traveling further outside of that chaotic forrest.

She really did miss those days of wild chaos, of unexpected reactions and changes caused by the meeting of countless different things. It had been such a wonderful symphony of sounds. If only she had known then upon her awakening what she did now, maybe she would have been able to learn a sound or two by heart. But eh, that was a long while ago, and she didn't have the time to stand around reminiscing on old memories, not if she wanted to make such a thing happen again.

Stretching done, she decided she would hop on over to a random place and mess around before moving on to her current project. Closing her eyes and listening out for the larger changes of the world, Arú grabbed onto one and "jumped".

Gammaton

@Duoya @Noodles @A Lowly Wretch @Archangel89

As Oao drew everyone's attention to the pedestals, Gammaton's interest was immediately piqued, but this interest quickly turned into panic. "...no...NO! Sveiand! Iva'Krorh! Anu'Varr! Ragnagedon! Ferron!..." Gammaton rattled off the names of his siblings as he identified each display "Do you know what this means?! They're toying with us!" He spun around, pointing at the gallery accusingly. "They've taken our brothers and sisters...and...and..." He saw pedestals that he was unable to identify, also missing their cord, "They've replaced us with usurpers! My Assembly, which never saw fruition, was to protect us from just such an eventuality! They've struck too fast!" Gammaton collapses on the floor, two arms clutching his head, two arms pounding against the marble. "Why leave us?!" He could fathom no rationale that Law, Darkness, Health, The Sun, and Treasures should remain while so many others had been taken.
