Day 1: The Legendary Hero Will Never Catch a Break!?

A yawn filled the inn room in which the future Demon King resided, her arms stretching back towards her pillow and pushing it off the bed as she rolled over, burying her face in her blanket. "Scratchy..." she would complain, before shaking herself awake. Hopping out of bed, she would change from her smallclothes into her usual garb of a red sleeveless one piece with black portions under the arms, a thigh length black skirt, black elbow-length gloves, red boots, and her black stockings before she would reach underneath her bed to pull out what appeared to be a lute case. Opening it up, she would reveal her explosive roommate that she had snuck in to keep from having to pay for a second room...and had also likely abducted in her sleep to try and outdo the Legendary Hero. "C-3, up and at-em'! We've got ourselves a hero to find." she would chirp, before dashing out, leaving C-3 to do her morning routine. Dropping a few copper coins to the innkeeper, she dashed out, using a basic spell to hide her crimson horns and spade tipped tail. To any ordinary villager, Charlotte appeared to all as a normal young woman...albeit an obnoxious one.

Stealing out into the forest, the Demon King to be would proceed to drop kick a boar in the cheek, before landing with a graceful flip. Looking absolutely proud of herself, she looked around to check if anybody had seen...but sadly, nobody had. Well, the dryads had, but they didn't want to indulge her. Last time they did, she offered to make them her vassals, and have them judge the sports tournaments she would set up wherein she would of course ALWAYS take first place. She kept doing this. Every. Single. Time.

Dragging the poor boar's skinned corpse who had lost to the most arrogant woman in existence, said most arrogant woman proceeded to cast [Fireball] over it, humming as she maintained the ball's distance from the pig as it roasted the skin and flesh, rotating it lazily with her foot. Life was hard on a budget...especially if she'd be caught by one of the Lords that owned the woods around [Home Town]. But still, boar meat made it worth. Once it was crisped to perfection, she would tear a hunk off and bite into it. Despite the texture and juice of the meat, she still sighed. "...Demon realm cuisine really is the best...this is just...blegh..." she would complain, sinking her chin into her free elbow. "Hurry up Mister Heroooooo~! I wanna beat Daddy already!" she would shout to the heavens as if in demand, waving her hunk of meat around, before taking another bite. "Its so weird...the Day of Prophecy or whatever that old geezer called it was like, three days ago...where is this dumb Hero? Did he get sidetracked on the ONLY road leading out of his home village? Did he get ambushed? Should I have ambushed HIM?" she questioned, rolling around while eating her meat. She was bored. Booooooored.

A sleeping Slime was a peaceable creature; easy to transport, easy to manipulate. However, an awoken Slime was less so. C-3 was sound asleep, and Charlotte had made the mistake of awakening her -- no, awakening a Dragon. Shifting inside the lute case, the black pool of slime rippled; large spikes of solidifies flash powder swirled, and rose up, as she formed herself. Sternly set, her expressionless eyes roved the room; literal lupid pools of blue-tinted torch oil fashioned into her “eyes” searching for her noisy savior/roommate/teammate(/future mate).

However, she was angry at being woke up.

Scenting the wood-smoke, C-3 formed her legs, and stalked out of the inn; clad in nothing but her slime, and spined. “Charlotte...” she growled. “Charlotte...” C-3 pressed her hand to her belly, and a [Transmutation Circle] etched underneath her hand; gathering flash powder, flint, and torch oil towards the surface. “Gather. Shift. Sift. Stir,” she chanted, “Mix together, [Explosive Ball]!"

Drawing her hand back, she pulled her own slime away in the form of a apple-sized ball, and reared back. “CHARLOTTE!” she roared, fastballing the explosive, aid by her [Foresight]. Even in the middle of her whining and rolling around, the potential Demon King/Queen/Lord/Lady(/Dragon Mate) would be able to hear the whistling of the winged sphere, and the shatter of the solidified slime, as it hit the ground.

There was a massive detonation that followed.

"Fuuuwaaahhhh...~!!!" C-3 yawned, stretching out, before trudging back to the inn.

It was breakfast time -- plus, cool people didn't look at explosion, and Dragons were totally cool people.

Not far from where the future Demon King of [World Name] would be enjoying her breakfast, a lone figure would open his eyes in a field of grass. His eyes were devoid of any enthusiasm or passion as he pushed himself up onto his feet, taking a look at the armor and weapons he had spawned into this world with. "Sword." He swung the weapon at the air, the blade whistling as it cut through nothing and doing no damage to anything around it. "Non-magical... Shield." He battered the front of the shield with the blunt end of his sword, the weapons ringing from the impact but doing nothing else spectacular or out of the ordinary. "Also non-magical... Armor." The hero inspected his clothing and shrugged with disinterest. "Starter gear." Finally, he lifted his hand and concentrated, pointing his palm at the nearby treeline. "No powers either." With the inspection finished, he let out a bored sigh. "At least I have clothes this time and not a useless smartphone."

Dragging his feet as he lazily walked across the field, the hero would pass the treeline and head into the forest, wondering to himself who would be the first living being he'd see. A damsel in distress? Some starving wolves? A useless goddess? Maybe all three. That would probably be the twelfth time now, if that were the case. Instead though, the cursed man would see Charlotte and overhear the conversation she was having with herself. Another bored sigh would escape his lips as he considered walking in the other direction. "Let's just get this over with."

Charlotte would hear the sound of metal clicking into place as the hero she had been waiting for seemed to be setting up a portable table right here in the middle of the forest. Upon the table were pens, staplers, and several piles of paperwork that all had been neatly set up to be presentable and pleasing to the eye. "My name is Tristan Mallory and today I will be your world's hero who shall defeat whatever evil is currently threatening it. Please sign here," he told the demoness, holding out an application for her to fill out. "Don't bother giving me your name, I won't bother to remember it. Just tell me your sex, race, age, where you see yourself in five years, and any special abilities you may have."

As he waited for the demoness to give her answer, a ball of flame seemed to somehow track the woman down like a heat-seeking missile. Tristan could see it approaching, but made no effort to try to dodge or block the attack, instead watching with that same neutral expression of his as the spell found its target. Once the flames of the explosion died down, the smoke clearing out from the two's vision, Charlotte would see the immediate area turned black from C-3's fastball special. All except the patch of grass the hero sat at. It stood pristine and untouched, as if unaware of the destruction surrounding him. If your form was turned to ash, please take another from the desk."

She stood on top a cliff her eyes glaring at the town before. For years she was defeated by heroes but not this time no this time it will be different. "Gaze upon ye mighty and despair!" She yelled her voice echoing as she poised atop her cliff her figured shadowed by the distance. Yes this time she would not fail rather than waiting for the hero she would strike it when they are at the weakest! This time her plan was fool proof! SHE WOULD FINALLY BE VICTORIOUS! "I have come so send your heroes and watch as they come to the slaughter!" She continued her speech though inside she was eagerly squeeing as a little school girl it was going just as planned! "I will give you till sundown to send out your heroes or you will Burn like the others before!" She continued as she gave out her ultimatum yes this time it will be different! So she waited her sword dug into the earth below her flames licking the soles of her shoes as she waited. It would be any moment now she was sure of this!

It was with a bubbling sigh, that C-3 found herself walking through the forest. Breakfast was in short supply, since Charlotte kept selling off her flash powder and flint to any pliable, rookie Rogue that thought themselves getting a hot deal. Numbers could get confusing, if your merchant had a silver tongue and a black heart. Sure, it was genuinely frustrating to have to go out and gather more, but the things we do for love(treasure), no? As such, she found herself at her favorite, little spot; a plain cliff that overlooked the village, and was hardly bothered by monsters.

Hardly, being the operative word.

Today, unfortunately, it saw the presence of some babbling nutcase.

Not for long, mind. For a dragon did not suffer fools that stood proudly upon their cliffs; nor entertain the insane, as they trod upon their flint nodes; nor idly allow loud trespassers to damage their property.

Move,” C-3 offers, bodily shoving the strange woman towards the cliff's edge. “Pray, be reborn as someone taciturn,” she offered in prayer, before moving to the flint node that the swordswoman had been stood upon, her sword sheathed inside, “[Excavation: Ore]

And, most importantly: did not miss breakfast.

Upon hearing the approach of someone, Charlotte snapped to attention, raising her hands into a defensive stance and raising a knee, in case she needed to kick a rear that happened to just fly right into her foot. What she saw instead however was just what she was hoping for. An audible gasp escaped her as her crimson eyes twinkled with childlike wonder, admiring the...basic armor and...totally non-magic sword, and...wow, he wasn't even that handsome. Suddenly dropping her stance entirely, her face just kind of shifted to an indifferent glare as she heard him set up his table. Her expression would become more vacant as his actions grew stranger, with paperwork set up. What kind of hero had paperwork involved!? They usually got sent out to kill slimes, then the local bandits, then help the kingdom, then gradually build up to being involved in bureaucracy and politics! This was way too advanced at the start, and it was frankly making her head spin as the interview began.

Absent minded and left in utter shock, she was forced to obey his demands to write down her Sex, Race, and left her age as ???, because it was just rude to ask a lady her age...especially when she'd lost count a century or two ago. For where she was in Five Years, she wrote: "At the height of power, ruling over the world upon a throne built of the corpses of my enemies, with my father forced to be sealed for eternity for being a dumb-dumb." Her special skills were being fluent in Dragontongue, Elder Speak, knowing the Demon Arts of Incineration, Punches, Kicks, and Headbutts, Slimetaming, and Fashion. Just as she was about to finish dotting her i's and crossing her t's, Charlotte would hear her gelatinous companion call her name, before a ball of incinerating, roaring, fiery explosive energy impacted against her, sending her flying up into the air, before hurtling back down to the earth as her head smashed into the table the hero was sitting at. He was completely unharmed, both by the explosion, and the impact, but Charlotte was nearly given a concussion by all the stationery falling upon her noggin.

Shaking herself free, Charlotte begrudgingly filled out another form, before slamming it onto the Hero's lap. "You've got a lot of nerve, already acting all...superior, and aloof. You're not even past the first town yet!" she would say, before clearing her throat and dusting herself off. "Well, no matter. You're in luck, dear little deskworking hero! For before you stands THE Charlotte Andromalius Nix Iscaron! The one and only daughter of the Demon King himself! And even more lucky for you, I have just the powers needed, and the know-how to clobber Daddy before he even know what hits him-" she said, before being interrupted yet AGAIN by some upstart yelling from atop a cliff. Pointing up, Charlotte sounded annoyed as she called out to her: "Hey! Forgettable Boss! We're TRYING to have an uninterruptible introduction sequence here! Hold on a minute, he doesn't even know the difference between a Slime and a Curie. We'll fight you after he hits level 3!"

Thankfully however, C-3 already had the situation under control, pushing the woman off her cliff in order to get at the food beneath. Taking advantage of the confusion, Charlotte snickered, before dashing behind Tristan, and hugging his back. "Now, we're officially a party, Mr. Boring Hero! No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Let's get going, that fodder isn't gonna slaughter itself." she said, before a jingle resounded in Tristan's mind, before a white wall of text in front of him stated:

Charlotte has joined the Party!

As Charlotte gave her big introduction, Tristan completely ignored her and read over the paperwork she had filled out, looking over her answers with those dead, lifeless eyes of his. He hadn't even noticed the mid-boss in the distance crying out her own deceleration of war against him and any that join his party as he made sure to not miss any details. He would hate to assign this girl her designation, only to find she fits better within another category. It would completely throw off his count. Demon Princess who joins the hero to overthrow her parent and will most likely stab me in the back after I defeat him for her because she's otherwise useless in most combat situations? I think that makes her number 73.

Before he could announce the official number he'd be calling her for the rest of their adventuring together, she would ambush him with a sudden surprise hug. While his powers allowed him to avoid serious injury and death like C-3's fireball from earlier, having his air crushed out of his lungs didn't seem to fit under that umbrella. "Hnng," was the sound that escaped his lips as Charlotte began to crush his spine.

Once she had finished showing her appreciation towards him allowing her to join his party, a message appeared before his eyes like some MMO RPG. Dammit. Another fantasy world that relies on video game mechanics. What ever happened to just normal fantasy? It felt like nine-tenths of the worlds I've been to were created by some nerd who can't think of a magic system that isn't based on an RPG they played as a kid. Tristan would attempt to swipe the notification away like some other worlds he'd been to had allowed him to do, but unfortunately it seemed to stay put, leaving him to wait for it to disappear on its own for several agonizing seconds.

"Alright, one last thing before we go though. Please sign this last document," the hero said, holding out a several page long document. If Charlotte attempted to read or skim it, the general gist was that whoever signed their name would be locked into a legally binding contract that they would never, under any circumstances, attempt to start or join a harem that involved Tristan Mallory. He had had enough of those after about ten worlds into his cursed existence.

C-3 was just excavating herself some Flint, when she heard the familiar squeaks and squeals of Charlotte rejoicing over the screaming of the intruder falling, possibly -- hopefully, perhaps -- to, her death. By curiosity, she found herself overwhelmed, and looked over to see Charlotte hugging some man with an impossibly impassive expression. “So unfaithful,” she narrowed her eyes, and extended her arms; a shortbow and quiver of arrow equipping to her. “I will have to teach you, a stark lesson in stepping out a dragon...

Beneath her feet, a massive transmutation circle appeared, as her slime bubbled, her torch oil blood boiled, and her flash powder spikes ignited. A phantasmal choir started to vocalize a haunting melody, as she drew an arrow, and a trio of transmutation semi-circles appeared; they pressed together flush, at the fletching, and became one. The semi-circle was jagged at the bottom, like a fanged mouth.

I am the Shell of my Bomb. Flint in my Body and Oil as my Blood,” she chanted, as she formed a matching semi-circle at the shortbow's arrow shelf, which was jagged at the top, completing the fanged mouth motif. “I have created over a Thousand Explosions; Unknown to Slime; Nor known to Man.” C-3 linked the two semi-circles together, and drew back on the nocked arrow; the singular circle becoming a trio again. “Have withstood Trial to create many Explosives; Yet these Hands will never hold Truth,” she continued her chant, as the shortbow and arrow were covered in slime, and her flames roared and brightened.

So, as I Craft --” C-3 loosed the arrow, now, a hardened mass of slime, and it sped through the air with a draconic roar; straight at Charlotte. A slumber rage awoke, a faint memory resurfaced, and her magic burst, as she invoked her spell:

Smirking, Charlotte was incredibly pleased with herself at having already sealed the deal with forming a party with the hero. Just when she thought all the legal tender was finished however, she would find herself face to face with yet another contract. "Eh? A harem? You really are getting ahead of yourself. I'd never fall for someone so...dull." she would say, scribbling her name down before flinging the contract behind her. "But if it'll get you moving, I guess I have no-" she would say, just as the Carbon Dragon's Fang impacted. Even if Tristan was nigh unkillable, the force of the blast would still send them both flying...mostly because Charlotte would hide behind him. She was a Princess, not an explosion test dummy!

Flung far into the air, the twosome would be in freefall for a moment before crashing into foliage and tree branches that broke their fall, leaving them both looking a mess. Clearly irate at this, Charlotte shook her fist at C-3. "Hey, we're supposed to FIND the hero, not KILL him!" she cried out. Picking Tristan up off the ground, she dusted his armor off, and licked her index and middle finger before pinching a spike of his hair that had caught fire. "There you go. Now, let's get into those woods and ruin some poor woodland creature's life!" she would proudly say, before charging off, dragging him by the wrist.

One prolonged explanation of how to hit something with a sword later, Charlotte would eagerly await Tristan bashing a poor little slime upside the head. They...looked kind of cute. They had big black shiny eyes, and green bodies that jiggled as they bounced around. They'd occasionally bump into one another and make a much larger slime, but they seemed relatively passive. Of course, after a few million times of being reincarnated, one could guess Tristan was out of sympathy. He'd also note that Charlotte was not even trying to fight them, just kind of pushing them towards him. "Go get 'em Hero!"

@Enkryption @Suku

Meanwhile, back over at the cliffside, the Midboss would find herself suddenly within the shade of a person as they stood over her. "Excuse me ma'am, are you quite alright? That looked like quite a fall." a deep, smooth voice would ask, belonging to the...man? that loomed over her. His grey fur gleamed in the sunlight, as bright as the armor and the lance that he carried upon his person. He was...certainly a thing that existed. Placing a hand over his chest, he offered her a hand. "Allow me to help you up. Shall you need an escort to a healer?" he asked, radiating charisma...despite being a cat. And being roughly two feet tall.

C-3 Would also notice the cat, namely due to all the shiny metal he was carrying. Perhaps he'd have something she would like to eat for breakfast. Or, maybe she just liked cats. Who knew?

Some people can have the personality of soggy cardboard, but if they're heroes who can do anything, even that won't keep women away. That was what Tristan had planned to say, thinking back to that time he found himself stuck inside a fantasy world where everyone else seemed capable of noticing the video game elements in their world, even if the elements used didn't make much sense. He found himself thinking that about the majority of worlds he had been to, though that world in particular he disliked more than the others.

Before he could vocalize his thought though, another attack would come towards his new companion, one that would launch the two into the air. "What the hell did you do to be blown up twice in the span of ten minutes?" the hero would ask Charlotte as they plummeted back down to the Earth below. Admittedly, she might not have heard him over how loud the wind blowing past them was.

Eventually though, they would make landfall after crashing through several tree branches and foliage. He could feel a warmth above his head as several strands of his red hair had caught fire, but he didn't seem to care. Until Charlotte put it out herself, he had planned to just let it burn out whenever it did. Having recovered from the slime's attack, he had planned to walk off in a random direction where a town might or might be, but the demonette seemed to intent on taking the lead as she grabbed his hand and pulled him deeper into the forest.

Tristan would look towards Charlotte as she tried to teach him the basics of swinging a sword, though if she paid attention to his blank expression she could have figured out that his mind was somewhere else. By now he had learned how to use just about any weapon someone could think of, so this wasn't even a review, it felt more like an insult. Being forced to start by fighting slimes didn't make that feeling disappear either. "Can't you just burn them all with a fire spell or something so we can move on to something actually somewhat challenging?" the hero asked, cutting an attacking slime in half without even looking in the creature's direction.

"No need" Valkira said as she glared at the mountain with a intense fury and hatred as if it killed her first born. She kept her gaze away from the talking cat. She now had a new mission her rise to a true demon king could wait. That mountain will pay and the slime along with it! "Your on my revenge journal you me you vile piece of earth I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!" She screamed out aloud as she fire nearly engulfed her as she started on in rage and anger.

C-3 looked down at the screaming woman, and the newcomer, before going prone on her bare belly. Propping up on her elbow, the Saboteur extended her tongue; letting slimy drool gather and drip off the semisolid facsimile of the pulpy muscle. Disinterestedly, she was just trying to hit one of them, or both, -- okay, truthfully, she was just aiming for the woman. To be so reasonlessly antagonistic was a weird feeling, in her gooey gut, but, man, you just weren't you without a Snickers, you know?

"Like a distant thunder, rumble and herald... approaching storms precede the lightning's profane bane..." C-3 chanted, as a transmutation circle bound to her tongue, and her drool filled with explosives. "[Pop Rocks]!"

Now, her drool was not only slimy, but explosive, too. And, raining down on the twosome below for no real reason. Charlotte was such a bad influence.

Seriously.

This was totally her fault.

Dragon's weren't usually assholes.

Charlotte's enthusiasm quickly drained away, as the smile curled at her lips literally flipped over into a displeased frown. "...Wow, heroes like you are proof that God really does hate the world." she would say, more than willing to insult such a lackluster hero. What kind of crazy asshole could take a life so easily and so quickly, before even doing the proper tutorials!? Regardless, she would proceed to lift her arm up, before a massive fireball filled the entirety of the canopy above them, immediately incinerating the leaves above them and igniting the branches, the heat so intense that rather than starting a fire, it was more as if the treeline itself just withered, the wood turning to ash instantly.

"If it'll get you up to snuff, then sure! One Fireball coming right up!~" she would say as the heat colesced into her palm, compounding more and more until it was a tiny orb of light which she flicked from her index finger. [Fireball.] she would say...

And, for the next several hours, the wildfire would rage on. The livelihoods of dozens, if not hundreds of people in that sizeable hamlet went up in flames that day, as the Scarlet Terror's horns emerged from the fire. With hands drenched in blood, and flames spouting from behind her, the Demoness' visage was a sight to behold as she held up the charred body of Tristan, the hero that Humanity needed, but most definitely deserved a better hero in place of. Running terrified, the people fled, while Charlotte looked confused. "...Hey wait, we need a healer or something!" she would say, running after the fleeing mob, swinging around Tristan's burnt, but still mostly okay body.

Thus would the tale of villainy spread, of the rogue demon that had sought to assassinate the hero and the entire village of [Home Town] in a bid to plunge the world into darkness.

...But hey, Tristan was now level 2! And that's what REALLY matters.

Left running after villagers with a nearly bottomless well of stamina, Charlotte's flaming escape would no doubt catch C-3's and Valkira's attention. Namely that she was getting away, not only without them, but WITH the hero.

@Enkryption@Suku

As the cat man would continue to assuage the rather terrifyingly angry Midboss, he would smell smoke nearby, before the sweltering pillar of heat would be visible, just before drool made of explosives would impact against his back, before he would leap between Valkira and the drool, taking the brunt of it as it detonated. Falling to the floor with a thud, the cat was definitely crispy after that, shuddering on the ground and his fur visibly burnt from the force, his fine, sterling plate shattered to pieces and covered in soot.

But, who cared about him, he didn't even have a name yet. C-3 would most certainly see her "bad influence" currently fleeing town, or rather, chasing those fleeing FROM town. And had the hero carried romantically in her arms, like he was a pretty, boring, charred princess of a man. Valkira may not care especially about the fire, but the fact that her quarry had been snatched away well might.

"Sidekicks like you are proof that God hates main characters like me," Tristan muttered, very much unamused towards the demon princess' comment. After all, with how much he had already dealt with through the curse that he called a life, who could a higher being possibly have any more contempt for than him? He didn't see anyone else having to live through an endless existence of the same monotonous adventure day-in and day-out.

As Charlotte did what he said though, raising her hand and summoning forth her own inner fire to smite the weak creatures around him, Tristan moved to a nearby tree to lean against its trunk and watch the display of power. He watched with mild interest as the flames danced around her fingers, like a snake slithering through several obstacles, before coalescing at tip of her index.

Then his vision went white.

When he awoke, his body felt like it was on fire, every inch of him in immense pain. Then he realized that was because he had actually been set ablaze moments ago by the numskull he called a teammate, his entire body covered in burn scars. He'd felt much more intense pain before, but that didn't mean it didn't still hurt. "You absolute idiot," she would hear his dry throat whisper out to her as he lied draped across her arms. "I've been stabbed in the back by a companion before, but you can't tell me that you're so careless to do that accidentally."

Fighting against the pain, the hero would wave his burnt arm in front of his face, trying to swat away the message that had suddenly appeared before his eyes. Level 2! "Stupid interface. I don't care if I leveled up if it means being burnt to a crisp by my partner." It looked like quite the pathetic display as with how weak his injuries had made him and the fact that he hadn't attempted to stand up on his own. She had created this problem, so Charlotte would fix it. Or she could expect this partnership to not be a long lasting one, not with her burning literal bridges.

All that C-3 took notice of was the massive blaze that was carelessly chewing up the forest that gave her sustenance and profit; as emerald and umber turned crimson and charcoal, and livelihood burned to ash. Forward, she surged off the cliff, so many stories above, “Pounding pestle. Unerring urn. Give into me, and, thusly, imbibe.” C-3 chanted, as she fell, a sphere forming in her palm, “Featherlight, and feather-fair. Mix, [Fairyfall Potion!]

C-3 bit into the sphere, ingesting the mixture of a herbs and oils that coursed within her, and her weight vanished; just in time, as she hit the ground. A baby cloud of dust was all her descent created, before she lunged to the fact of the fire heading to the town. As her weightlessness allows, she easily outpaced it, which allowed her time to fashion new potions. “This is too much, but I can't let the fire reach my nest! [ Lesser Elixir of Mana!] [Draught of Crafting!] [Draft of Deft Hands!] [Syrup of the Warrior!] [Syrup of the Wizard!] [Nectar of Brilliance!] [Nectar of Fortitude!] [Nectar of Fortune!] [ Nectar of Swiftness!]” C-3 nearly threw up, as she chugged each potion immediately, “Last one... [Flask of Liquid Courage!]

Each potion drained, and most of her MP exhausted, C-3 faced the fire, and spread her arms. “Here goes,” she set her feet, “First, [Warrior Skill: Vanguard!] Then, [Wizard Spell: Wind Wall, Swirl!]” C-3's body went fairly tense, as she hardened herself against attack, before a windy wall grew before her; pushing air back toward the encroaching wildfire and itself, swirling around and around. “Now, mix matter, mash material, mind over, and reality made claimed,” C-3 chanted, as her slimy form bubbled, “For the many, for the horde, for the swarm! [Explosive Plague!]

Suddenly, hundreds of small spheres were launched forward like a swarm of insects and vermin, but all caught in the wind wall. C-3 extended her hands, and focused. “Twist and twine, traps and snares, mine; Profession of a Saboteur, Task of an Alchemist, and Scheme of a Thief,” From her fingers, wires of magic and slime invaded the wind wall; catching hold of the swirling balls of explosions awaiting, and locking them in the turbulence. “Rising beyond the known, and create anew, [High-yield Explosives!]” Suddenly, the spheres quadrupled in size, before compressing to their original size. “Lock in place, [Daisy Cutter!] [Wizard Skill: Wind Wall, Surge!] [ Warrior Skill: Unshakeable Stand!]

C-3 gritted her teeth -- metaphorically -- and closed her eyes and fist, “Sweep it all away... [Fire Tsunami...]

Triggered, the high-yield explosives erupted, and mingled with each other, and the wind, and blew forwards as a genuine tsunami of fire; a wave of fire to wash over the fire that Charlotte started. The sheer heat was enough to glass the surface area, and char the underneath, but the town would be spared the victimization of what could have been them. Exhausted of all but her potion gifted MP, C-3 panted, and looked at her hands, as her slime dripped off; stopping after a minute, like a cut clotting.

Her physiology had taken a helluva hit.

Maaaannnn!!!” C-3 whined, her pitch much, much higher and devoid of its matured husk. “This is so unbecoming of a Dragon!

She was Loli-sized.

As the slime's explosive prowise was exercised, and the gigantic forest fire was contained, the townspeople would stop running, look at the forest, then at Charlotte, before kicking down the door of a nearby barn, passing pitchforks to one another in an orderly line. "H-Hey um...Sorry about that...I just uh..." Charlotte was saying, just as the villagers started forming a perfect spearmen's formation, a wedge of bodies and pitchforks progressing towards her and Tristan. Put simply, their teamwork was impeccable. And that's why Charlotte immediately ran away, screaming shrilly as spare pitchforks got flung at her. Thankfully for Tristan, she was very good at avoiding the spears, and not in the "Oh here, hold this for me Tristan" sort of way, but more that her footwork was incredibly skilled.

Well, at least he could rest assured that his companion was very, very good at running away. Making a mad dash towards where C-3 in her fun-sized form now stood, Charlotte wouldn't hesitate to scoop her up with her tail, curling the flexible muscle into a seat for her tiny slimy friend. "C-3, we gotta book it! This is bad, this is really bad...they think that I ruined their whole town...I mean, I did, but its not such a big deal!" she whined, on the verge of tears. This was absolutely humilating, a high ranking demon having to run from the buffest peasants in the land, all because a know-nothing hero ordered her to use a fireball that was WAY overkill for a level 1 slime.

"Oh yeah, Tristan, C-3, C-3, Stuck-up-boring hero." she would say, pointing to Tristan, then C-3, then back to Tristan in that order for introductions. "Also aww...yer sho kewt~!" she said, using her free hand to pinch C-3's cheek, the tranquil smile on her face almost being enough to make the group forget the MOB approaching.

Meanwhile, the resident failure of "Who Wants to be the Final Boss" contest was quickly finding herself being pursued by peasants that were far from pushovers. In fact, they were a really good form of stress relief, if not for the fact that they seemed to just kind of appear out of buildings...if she paid attention, she'd notice that there were apparently dozens of them capable of just popping out of homes whenever one fell in battle.

From her elevated position however, she would easily spot that the Hero and his explosive companions were heading to the west out of town as fast as they could, towards [New Home Town]. Perhaps she could attempt to ambush them, and catch them in a pincer before they arrived at [New Home Town]?

"73, I want you to know-" Tristan began to say before going into a fit of coughing. He had never tried a cigar before, but he had a feeling that the pain he felt while trying to breath was similar to what a hard smoker would feel after years of doing nothing but. "If I don't make it, you need to know this," he struggled to say, lifting his hand into the air as she continued to carry him away from the angry mob.

As if for dramatic tension, the hero would find himself incapable of continuing his message to the demon princess, not until Charlotte found herself able to ask him what his important message was. "I want you to know... that you are... without a doubt... THE ABSOLUTE WORST GODDAMN COMPANION I'VE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF PARTYING UP WITH!" he shouted, the immense anger he felt toward the girl temporarily overriding the immense pain he felt from trying to speak. Though his criticism would immediately be followed by more coughing. As soon as he was able to, he promised himself that this fiery redhead would receive a hard thwack to the back of the head for all the trouble she had caused him.

Shifting to his side to look behind Charlotte, he chose to acknowledge the presence of their new party member. "So what's your story, slime? Were you shanghaied into having to work for this airhead as well?" Tristan asked C-3, unaware that the small, gelatinous girl identified herself as a the great beasts of calamity that rules the skies of many a fantasy world. Not that he cared. It would only solidify her position as the 51st companion he'd met to have such a wish.

One after another they came and they fell it was fun at first like a game but now the novelty was starting to ware on her it just wasn't fun anymore. "You know why dont you just stop we aren't getting anywhere with this" Valkira spoke up as she continued her course things was getting really really aggravating. There wasn't any fun to be had with this it was just mindless mobs at this rate and those was never fun. She was better than this damnit she deserved the respect her power commanded. "I am getting real tired of this bullshit" She spoke her sword flashed in her hand. "Know your place and drown in eternal hellfire, Eternal Flames brought forth by the end of the gods! Hear my plea my blade is thy vessel for your endless wrath, Let it rain down and let none quench your rage the hell known as RAGNAROK!" Valkira spoke out as flames spread out consuming all that it touched.
