Celina just relaxed.. finally those dang spiders were gone. They were really... really annoying to say the least. She just relaxed a bit before seeing the coins that Jason pocketed and asking what kind metal those coins were made of. "Well I am not sure, gold maybe? Although one thing, those weren't people. So either we suddenly ended up with giant spiders on earth, or we are in a completely different places. The first option just gives me the creeps." she then says, shivering a bit, her slime a bit jiggling cause of this. Geez... that felt really weird to say the least. She then smelled the bread and started to follow that scent. "I... guess our best bet is to follow the smell?" she then says as she moves forwards to go and head to find that bread. Maybe there were people here? And who was cooking bread? If they were on earth, they would be attracting unwanted attention, that is for sure.

Mia

The spider very quickly died to Trevor's electricity. Oddly enough, there was something shining in the darkness near its corpse. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be some kind of coin, though Mia didn't recognize it at all. Considering everything that's happened so far, though, finding a few foreign coins certainly wasn't too strange. "Is there any writing on them? That could give us at least some idea of where we are." Best case scenario, they'd have the name of the country they came from, though Mia doubted that it would be that simple.

In total darkness, they didn't really have any way of navigating. Mia just followed the others and hoped that they would find a way out. They seemed to be going nowhere fast, though. They wandered in the darkness for a while, until the smell of freshly baked bread filled the air. To Mia, who hadn't eaten anything since the night before the meteor hit, the smell was almost intoxicating. "Is there someone living in here? Besides the spiders, I mean."

Jason looks around, and smiles with his eyes. His wings begin to glow, slowly but steadily lighting up the darkness. "Hey shadow...thing. I forgot your name, but could you scout ahead to see if there are any more of those strange monsters? I'd like to know in advance if we're about to be attacked again." He looks at his now steadily burning wings, and slowly makes them brighter and dimmer, practicing with his fire magic. "What kinds of magics do we have anyway? I know mine, but I'm still unsure about anyone else except Mia's healing. Thank you for that, by the way. What are we doing here?" He gestures around the room with his talon-like hand. "What happened to our world?"

Shaula

Once the spider was defeated, Shaula grabbed her flashlight, careful not to let it shock her this time, and picked up the Orgone emitters she had thrown at the spider. They walked through the cave while discussing the coins that had fallen from the spider and where the portal had brought them, and the girl named Celina seemed to suggest they might not be on Earth anymore. "Well - Celina, was it? - you don't have to worry about that. If this was an alien planet, we'd have company other than those spiders. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they covered half the country by now..." Shaula replied as she spotted the same 'II' marking on the wall they had passed earlier. Perhaps Trevor shouldn't be the one leading them. He seemed to be thinking the same thing, because just then he stopped and asked if anyone else was good at mazes. "Here, use this," Shaula said, "but don't lose it. That's my only one."

Jason asked what they were doing in the cave and what happened to the world, and Shaula raised her eyebrows in surprise - for someone who was so closed-minded as to call her a "conspiracy theorist," he actually asked some good questions. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm here to figure out what's really going on and put a stop to it. It wasn't just some freak accident that turned people into these - these things. Something did this to us." Shaula turned to Trevor. "Where'd that portal even come from? You said something about some thieves going through it?"

Aerin was slowly getting his bearings back after the whole shining light 'incident'. Eventually he was back to his old self, well shadowy self again. He didn't really seem all that interested in looking around, instead opting to float behind the party away from where that flashlight was shining. "Oh, I can see quite well, but these walls don't even register as relevant to me anymore." he said, flying in to the wall to prove his point before flipping back through it. "Nor do the spiders really, or that bread. I could probably estimate that we are a couple walls away from where we started though. Pretty sure we've gone in a nice big circle, it's kind of entertaining to follow." he said with a smug little grin.

It would take a moment, but he'd shake his head suddenly as he snapped out of it. "Ahh, sorry. When it gets this dark it seems to have a weird effect on me. Actually I do have a bit of an idea." He'd say, focusing a bit on Trevor. "My power could maybe help with your luck, I can't control it very well though. I could just as easily accidentally do the opposite." he'd warn.

Trevor looked right at the odd, shadowy dragon who was following them, and he said "Sure, let's try it... can't be any worse than what we're doing, right?" and after a weird flash of light, Trevor felt... almost nothing different. He then kept wandering around, passing by another spider, and what appeared to be a small golem made of stones, as well as a giant steel door, until he eventually made it right to a city of literal mole people... one of whom was baking bread, and putting it out on a cave's windowsill. The place was also oddly well-lit for being a town where its entire population hates the light. There appeared to be signs in a language that didn't look like it was anything from Earth, a small runed stone at Trevor's feet, and some mole people speaking in what Trevor could only describe as gibberish. Curious about the strange, glowing markings on the stone, Trevor picked it up, and it seemed to attach itself to his forehead, leaving a glowing green mark similar to the one that was on the stone he picked up... said stone was still in his hands, but it was now blank. Trevor seemed a bit confused at this, and then he noticed a strange, new power... one that he used to analyze what the signs said, and what the people were saying. "Huh... seems like the mole people here are talking about some sort of big, exciting event... that sign obviously says bakery, though, it directly translates to 'bread mine', and that other sign is a... potion shop? How... strange," Trevor said to his friends regarding the information he got from scanning the place with his new skill, gotten from his new rune. What kind of luck did he have that the one thing that would allow them to communicate with these new people would just be sitting at Trevor's feet when he entered the town... somehow... through randomly choosing pathways?

When the group arrived into town, the first thing she noticed was all the mole people, them just living their lives. So many people that would have changed into mole people on earth? That probably was not the case. More and more it seemed like an alien planet, considering the gibberish language she was hearing. She looked at the group then at Trevor who had a weird rune on his forehead and seem to understand their language. She looked around for any other runes like that. "Well... if we are going to be here... we will need more of those runes." she says before thinking... feeling something before a similar rune appears on her own forehead, having mimic that rune's skill. She looked at the mole people, understanding what was being said. "T.. this is weird.. how did I...do that?" she says, unsure how. First that fire, then that rune? Was there something really special about slime that she didn't know about? She just though about it a bit, staying close to the group.

Mia

It seemed that their shadowy friend had some kind of luck-based power. It didn't seem to do anything at first, but soon after they found themselves at the maze's exit, in a city of mole people. One thing was for certain, they weren't on earth, or at the very least, they were in some undiscovered part of it. As far as Mia knew, Earth didn't have any underground cities like this one, and everything was written in a language she'd never seen in her life.

It seemed the exit to the maze wasn't the only thing Aerin's powers brought them. A glowing stone lay on the ground in front of them, and the moment Trevor picked it up, it seemed to give him the power to understand what was printed on the signs, as well as what the mole people were saying. "You can understand them? Did the stone do that?" Mia asked. "Try asking one of them where we are." She wasn't entirely sure if Trevor could speak this language, but if he could suddenly read and understand it, it was highly likely.

"Why is your head glowing? Was it the rock?" He picks up the rock, and examines it. "Huh. The symbol on it moved to your head. I guess you're our translator now. What are they talking about?" His talons burst into flames, and he shakes them around, trying to put them out. "Not again." He clasps his talons together, and the flames vanish. "What kind of powers do you guys have anyway?" He flaps his wings, and tries to get airborne. He lifts off the ground, and tries to stay in one location in the air. "Huff. This is hard!" He flies upwards, to see the mole city from the air.

Shaula

"Dear lord, there must be something in the water," Shaula muttered, a strange mixture of fear and fascination on her face. They had found their way through the mazelike tunnels and now stood at the entrance of an underground city, inhabited by creatures which Shaula could only describe as mole people. The entire place was oddly well lit, and signs written in an alien language pointed to caves and buildings all around them. Along with everything else she had seen this morning, Shaula was beginning to think that perhaps there had been something in the water.

Shaula noticed a rock on the ground with a bright green symbol glowing on it. Trevor had noticed it, too, and the moment he tried to pick it up, the symbol left the rock and appeared on his forehead, giving him the ability to understand the mole peoples' language. Celina mentioned that it would be useful to have more of these runes, and the same symbol appeared on her forehead, too. Mia suggested asking a mole person where they were. "I want to know where we are, too," Shaula said, "but I don't like this. We don't know anything about this place. I mean, look at them!" She gestured to a mole person jabbering excitedly nearby. "Does that look like a person to you?"

Jason flew into the air to get a better view of the city, and Shaula hissed at him, "Get down! Are you trying to get us seen?"

"I'm trying to do something useful, lady. Maybe if you pulled your head out of your conspiracies and daydreams and focused on the real world, you'd see that." He looks at Trevors now glowing head and laughs softly. He looks out over the city, taking in its general layout. "Wow. Where are we? Hey Trevor, be a friend and ask one of the natives where we are. I'd like to know more about this place." He lands on the side of a building, hanging off the side with one arm. He lifts his hand, and his feathers ripple, glowing and a small fireball grows in his talons. "This feels so weird."

Aerin would give an odd sort of recoil after giving his little blessing, for some reason it was like he could taste it, and it tasted pretty good to him. His features would also darken quite a bit, almost entirely black now instead of a mix of greys and blacks. It left him with a bit of a craving to do it again in fact, but only a light one that was easily resisted. "hmm, I hoped that worked." he'd say, following along as they navigated the tunnels.

His powers would have put a bit of a yin yang mark on Trevor's hand, up until he found and touched the rune after which it would harmlessly fade away with a slight burning feeling. It seemed it had not led him through the cave but to the rune. Though it seemed like this was the way they wanted to go anyways.

Fortunately, everything went well after that, well for everyone else. The bright cave was not the most pleasant find for him, but it was a discomfort he was slowly getting used to. After being so quick and sharp in the darkness the light always made him feel all sluggish now. One of the mole people offered him an umbrella and it did help shade him a little though. "Thanks." he'd offer, floating around with it a bit.

He gives a bit of a contemplative look at Jason's question. "I'm not exactly sure what my powers do, from what i can tell it makes a person very lucky or unlucky until something happens, but I'm not fully sure how to choose which one yet. I'm sure you'll get used to flying eventually, I picked it up quite naturally it seems."

Where to start with this? It seemed like a few things were happening. Firstly, Shaula was suspicious of the harmless, honestly somewhat silly mole folk, who only became MORE silly as Trevor understood their jabbering. Secondly, It seemed like Jason was trying to figure out where we were, and he was trying to get the hang of flying, much to Shaula's fear, apparently. Thirdly, Aerin was offered some sort of umbrella by the mole people, and he described his powers as luck based. Finally, of course, was Celina copying Trevor's power. The rune, itself soon faded from her forehead, but she could still understand what they were saying, same as him, now. Trevor tried to answer every question he could, starting with Mia's. "Yeah, seems like the stone DID do that... weird. As for where we are..." Trevor said before asking one of the locals what this place was called... he then answered with "We're in a place called Copper City, one of the three largest cities on this snowball planet. Yeah... apparently wherever we are, the surface is too cold for liquid water, so, the people live down here, I guess," Trevor then turned back towards Jason to answer "It seems like I have fire and lightning abilities, as for flying, I never seemed to have too much of a problem with it... uh, keep trying, though," after that, it came time to finally answer Shaula's question of whether or not the mole person looked like a, well, person. "Uh... I mean, do I look like a person? Does Jason look like a person? How about Celina, or Aerin? I don't think you can distrust someone just because they don't look human, anymore, Shaula. Heck, you only BARELY qualify, and that's only IF you find a way to make yourself more solid," Trevor then tried to listen in on the locals a bit more carefully to figure out what they were saying... "Oh... there's some sort of premiere showcase of some new, powerful drill. Dunno why that's so exciting to them, but... yeah, that's why they're excited, I guess,"

Shaula

Convincing the group to be cautious didn't work. In fact, many of them had trusted the mole people on sight. Jason responded to her warnings with his usual shpiel about conspiracy theories, and while Trevor had made a good point about nobody being human, Shaula wasn't about to admit it to him. She trusted those mole people just about as much as she trusted "the president." "You can't be serious," she said, when Trevor claimed they were on an alien planet. It seemed impossible, yet the city before her looked like nothing she had ever seen before. Standing there felt almost surreal. But, as amazing as it was, she couldn't forget what the New World Order had done to everyone back home.

"So how are we getting back, then? Because unless any of you know how to make a portal, then it doesn't look like we're leaving anytime soon." She looked around at the group for a moment, half hopeful, as though expecting one of them to know how to make one. Normally, she would want to stay and learn about the aliens, but these mole people clearly couldn't be from the New World Order. NWO aliens were known to use flying saucers and colossal, triangular spacecraft with starfield camouflage - giant drills would seem rather primitive to them.

Jason shrugs, conjuring a ball of fire in his talons. "Don't know, don't care. I just want to learn how to use my powers properly. Quick question, water girl. Why do you believe in all the "new world order" junk? There's no proof for any of it. What makes you say, "Oh, the moon landing must have been faked!" or, "Australia isn't real!"? Why do you think that? Your rock evidently does nothing, so why do you think that it will?" He spins the ball of flame around in his talons, tossing and rolling it around in his hands.

Celina just calmed down as she listened around, listening to what everyone was saying and though about it. So those mole people were excited about some new drill... well considering what they are, it can be understandable at least. She looked at the group, thinking about it. "Didn't we have something that we needed to find here? Like... those that jumped into this portal?" she then says calmly before going forwards and looking around for any clues about those jerks. She heard the conspiracy theorist keep going on and on and sighed. Why did the group have to end up with her in the team? Sure everyone changed, but seriously. And there was one though that came to Celina's mind.. if the group would end up meeting a lizard person... oh god that girl will probably jump onto that person and cause some issues. The group probably will need to be careful about this, that is for sure.

Mia

Mia let out a loud sigh as Jason and Shaula continued to bicker. She knew that arguing with people like Shaula was pointless, but it seemed that Jason hadn't realized that yet. "Seriously, Jason, why put in the effort?" It was rather annoying, having to listen to them argue nonstop from the moment they first met each other.

The subject of the thieves came up. They were the reason they came here, after all. "It looked like they were the ones that made the portal in the first place. If that's the case, then finding them should be our ticket out of here." While it was likely that they'd passed through this town, they could also still be lost in the maze, or they could have ended up at a completely different exit. "We should ask some of the mole people if they've seen them. Then we'll at least know we're going in the right direction."

Aerin swayed along a non-existent wind as he took in the surroundings. It was a lot more peaceful here than where they had come from, it finally let him think a bit in the closest shady spot, curled up under that umbrella of his. All this talk of hunting down some thieves and finding a way back seemed to make sense, but he couldn't just let it go. "Is there any reason we're in a rush to get back? Seems like it was a lot more dangerous back there than it is here." he'd offer. "Only thing that has attacked us here is some pushover spider."

"I think bird boy over there has the right idea. We should take advantage of the peace here and focus a bit on figuring out what's going on with us and what we actually can do before something really dangerous happens."

Trevor nodded when everyone suggested we look for the thieves, well, okay, maybe a couple people did, but it seemed like the logical thing to do in this situation, especially given the fact that they were the reason we were even here in the first place. Aerin seemed to suggest that we just stay here, and while Trevor thought he'd gone insane at first, he then gave his reasons. "Maybe this place isn't so bad, but I kinda don't want Earth to die from us just doing nothing. Sure, we can use this rest to figure out what we're capable of, but I'd rather not just live here, despite how peaceful it is," Trevor said to Aerin as he kept searching for the thieves. After passing by a tiny hole with a sign that reads 'MOLES ONLY', some sort of weird portal that seemed to spit out some kind of aquatic dragon, and what could only be described as a garden, where the moles were pulling root vegetables out of the cave ceiling, Trevor found the two hooded figures, just sulking next to one of the town's many street lights. Trevor immediately grabbed one of them by the collar of their hood, and slammed the thief against a building. "Alright, you're going to tell me where my stuff is, NOW," Trevor said while he had the thief pinned to a wall. The thief stammered for a while, and eventually managed to say "I... I have no idea where your stuff is, I didn't steal it! I only stole that golden dragon artifact!" Trevor then used his scan rune in the hopes that it would reveal if he was telling the truth... however, it didn't seem like that rune worked that way, so he had to try to find out using his own wits.

It... seemed like he was, unfortunately, telling the truth, even if Trevor could trust this thief about as far as a car can go without wheels or gas, it didn't seem like he had any of Trevor's stuff. "Fine, then... what happened to that artifact?" Trevor asked, with the thief responding with "Uh... w-we were brought to some cliff when we teleported here, a-and there was a big, yellow dragon ghost, a-and the ghost said something about a 'test of power', and... um... he... um... possessed John, over there, and then he almost killed me with John's body... the ghost took the thing after that, and s-said that he'd be w-waiting for a new owner of it, or wh-whatever to challenge him," that... seemed a little farfetched, but upon looking for said artifact on their person, he noticed that it was, in fact, gone, somehow. Maybe not taken by a ghost, but certainly not with them, either way. I think they might have hidden that, and my stuff here. I really want my laptop back... it wasn't even the best one, either, sheesh, Trevor thought as he set the thief down... odd, though, that his friend didn't even try to help him during that whole interrogation.

Celina just followed Trevor here, staying near as she listened to what those thieves were saying, a bit unsure about all this. Considering what they said, something told her that they were lying maybe. She went and tried to search around for anything that would probably not be that thief thing. She listened to what they were saying, the story they were saying and though about it a bit. Mind control someone and being forced to fight them. Probably will be a hard fight if they had to fight a ghost unless they find a way to make it that they dont get possessed or something. She though about it a bit and looked at Trevor. "If what they say is true about that thing being able to possess someone, it may be good to find some way to protect ourselves from being possessed. It will not be good if we have to fight each other." she then said calmly to Trevor as she keep looking for his things right now. If it was not with that thief... where the heck could it be, unless someone else took it.
