start up:
It starts off on the first day. the school has just opened up. The year is about to start. The staff knows that they only have the one year to accomplish their goal. The head of the school is determined to see everything through. Hopefully, the students can get along and prove that it is possible for all species to get along.
Now, let the story begin.

Jasper stops at the door of the class warily eyeing the supernatural creatures who fill the room. A sense of fear and dread creeps up to him at the thought he might have to fight one of these creatures in the near future but he buries his fears while walking towards a seat. Instinctually he highlights the important pieces of the room, a paperweight on the teacher's desk heavy enough to be used as a bludgeoning tool, the types of creatures milling about and the ways one would need to use to dispose of them, the positioning of the windows in case a speedy exit is needed or a flier tries to attack him through that space. Even once he takes his seat at the back of the class, his body refuses to relax as his warry eyes dart around the room.

Jason ran to his first class. He was nervous. Crafts and pottery was never his strong suit. Anyway, he hoped that he was not late as he ran to that classroom. Luckily, he got there with a few minutes to spare. The hybrid male sighed in relief. He took a seat near the back left corner. Jason was trying to make sure that the teacher could not call on him, at least not right away, for any projects. He hoped that the first project would be an easy one so that he would not be laughed at. He glanced around, wondering when the other students would show up. His eyes landed on the students that were either in the room or just entering the room.

Emily had managed to get to class early. She had crafts and pottery as her first class too. She took a seat near the front. She wanted the teacher to see her. She smiled a little bit. She wiped a little bit of blood from the corner in her mouth from breakfast. She placed her bag on the desk. She started to get her supplies out. She wanted to make sure that she was ready when class started. Emily was good at the class but she wanted to be perfect. She did not want to look bad in front of the class or anything. She wanted to be her best. She took a breath when she was done and simply waited after that.

Sasha was excited for the first day of classes. A little nervous of course, but her curiosity overpowered any negative feelings as she made her way to her first lesson: crafts and pottery. A handful of students were already in the room when she arrived. After surveying all the very different students, Sasha took a seat next to a girl with pale skin and long, tawny hair (@Vampiretwilight). After taking her supplies out of her backpack and haphazardly setting them on the table in front of her, Sasha turned to face the girl sitting to her left. "Hey there! My name's Sasha. What's yours?" Her face lit up with a dazzling, fanged smile as she talked. Sasha had come here to make new friends, and she was so happy to have the opportunity to already.

Despite being a few minutes behind schedule, Benji took his time walking to his crafts and pottery class. Even though it was a school for supernatural beings, it didn't look much different than the countless schools he had attended before. The students he passed on his way to class were so very different than any people he had ever seen before however. He couldn't help but stare at a few of the creatures, and they stared right back, hungrily in some cases. Benji slipped into class a little late, and sat down next to a guy who seemed to be human as well (@Dumb1And1Lazy). He sat back in his chair with little more than a nod at the student next to him and started observing all the supernatural students in the classroom more closely.

Emily blinked. She had not expected anyone to actually sit next to her, let alone talk to her. She had been very focused on getting ready for class and everything. Anyway, she cleared her throat after a moment. Then, she spoke to the girl who had greeted her, choosing to sit down next to her in class.
"oh, hello. i'm Emily."
She faintly smiled. She had not expected to end up with an opportunity to make a friend. She had expected to encounter a human first, but it was alright. There would be plenty of humans at the school and she would meet one of them soon enough. Emily waited, after that, for Sasha to respond to her.

"Nice to meet you, Emily!" Sasha said this with a delighted giggle. She was so excited to be making a friend already. She had so many questions to ask. Not knowing how much time they had to chat before class began, Sasha decided to start with a very simple question. "Where are you from?"

This being a boarding school, Sasha assumed the students were from all different parts of the supernatural realm, as well as the human realm now too. Sasha leaned her elbow on the table in front of her and rested her cheek in her palm as she gazed at Emily. Her demonic heritage caused Sasha's eyes to be all black except her irises, which were a rich golden orange color. This could be a bit off-putting to those who weren't used to being around demons.

After class had started, Hafner strode into class, not even caring that he was late. He was tall, slim, and androgynously beautifuly. Long, snow-white hair was kept in a ponytail. Unlike most demons, he only had one horn, the right one. Grey eyes glanced across the room, and he chose a spot behind both Emily and Sasha.

"Afternoon." He greated them, before reaching into his backpack. He took out a teddy bear. It had a massive hole ripped in it's gut, cotton entrails spilling out. He took out his sewing equipment and began to stitch the bear back together. Despite the availability of sewing machines, he was doing it by hand, and was doing an excellent job.

Emily blinked. She thought that most would not care about that, at least not on the first day. She took a breath and finally answered sasha.
"Well...it is far away. however, I lived on THIS side of the portal my whole life. you know where that city is with the brick wall surrounding it? I came from around there."
She could only hope that Sasha knew what she meant. Then, Emily heard a male voice greet them, and it came from behind where they were sitting. She blinked and glanced behind her. He had said 'afternoon' which was strange.
"um, morning?"

Jason blinked. He looked around as the students filled in. He wondered who the teacher was and where they were. He sighed a bit. He noticed two humans had chosen to sit in the back as well. He glanced towards the front of the room after that. Jason noticed that there were three more students sitting close together. Two were girls, who looked like they were in the middle of a conversation. Then, a guy had chosen to sit behind them. He probably would have said hello. But, he had chosen to sit in the back of the classroom. The hybrid male was not sure if they would be able to hear him or not. He frowned a bit and sighed. He glanced down at his table as he did so and was rather quiet.

Jasper flinched as another boy sat near him and nodded. At times it was hard to differentiate the various supernatural creatures that existed and so he wasn't sure what to be prepared for. He suspiciously eyed Benji up then started scanning the room. He started listing the supernaturals in his head "One unknown, likely leech and one imp in the front. One Imp in the middle, likely ritual practitioner from the teddy bear. Two unknowns in the back possibly leeches, mutts, hornless, long limbs... Too many possibilities in close proximity, too much risk. More investigation is required." Jasper felt a sense of anxiety at being so close to two people he didn't even know. Especially now that he was in full view of the creatures instead of behind watching them from a distance.

He needed to consolidate his time and resources and to do that he first needed to identify the unknowns so that he could plan accordingly. @Amastacia "Good morrow to you fellow student, could this humble human ask for your denomination and supernatural title." he spoke with a strained, uncanny smile "My progenitors told me that these two are needed to build camaraderie, yes?". "Perfect. Identify the supernaturals using promises of friendship or establish contact with other humans. Totally nailed it, just like in basic training." He thought to himself.

Class had barely started when Marcus shuffled into the room. He saw a trio of other students clustered in the middle, two chatting animatedly and the other more reservedly. Marcus considered joining them, but thought it better not to impose his presence. He sat down at a corner, all the better to keep a clear view of the room while not being too far away from exit should anything... untoward... happen.

He shrugged uncomfortably, not being used to wearing a uniform. His artistic tastes rankled at the concept, but on the bright side, it made him less conspicuous. His supernatural features were largely hidden (all save for his gold eyes, which he could never fully change).
Ceramics were not his best art form, but it felt strangely satisfying to mould a pinch of Earth's flesh in his hands and give it form. Painting, drawing, and calligraphy were more to his taste, and a little flick or two of a brush would help making the ceramic a bit more presentable.

"Well, at best, I will have made myself a reserve teacup or two."

Looking around the room, the other kids were apparently vampires, demons, cambions, and humans. Not many other Fae around. Making an attempt to befriend the others might not be such a bad idea. Was that boy sewing a gutted teddy bear together? Had he seen this among the Fae, he might have jested that he had improvised a voodoo tool for use of punishing a bear in the most unorthodox way imaginable, but perhaps it had a sentimental value for him?

Emily blinked. She heard someone talking in the very back. She turned to look behind her for a moment. She waved a bit in greeting before she turned back to Sasha. She wondered if they were talking to her. Anyway, while she waited for a response from Sasha, she did not interrupt her if and when she talked to anyone else. Emily took a breath. She moved a strand of hair out of her face. She was patient while she waited. She blinked when the teacher showed up.

Jason sighed. He leaned back a bit. The chair did not move much. He glanced towards the window. He watched as some birds passed by. He took a breath and soon turned back towards the front of the room. He frowned a bit. He was a bit lonely. The male was hesitant to talk to anyone though. He was not sure who to trust. He blinked when the teacher showed up.

Angel flew through the hallways. She wanted to be on time for class. She thought that she was running late. Luckily, she got there right before class would actually start. She sighed in relief. She entered the room. The winged enchantress walked around and looked for an available desk. She found one near the window in front of Jason. She had a seat. She got out her bag of supplies and prepared for class to start. It was not too long after that that the teacher showed up. It was her brother. She blinked in surprise. She frowned a bit and gulped once.

Alexander walked down the hall. He did not fly with his wings. He did not risk bumping into anyone or breaking any rules. He carried his books in one arm and his case in the other. He was heading to the classroom where the class he was in charge of was being taught. He taught crafts and Pottery. Anyway, it took him a bit of time. He would enter the room when the bell rang. He walked to the front of the classroom. He went to his desk. He set down his books and case. He looked around the room at the students that had shown up. Alexander knew a few had to be running late and he would expect they would run into the room soon enough. He sighed and began writing on the board and such. His name would be on the board.

“Damn, I’m late! Really late!” Blyke rushes through the halls and burst through the classroom’s door. “HelloeveryoneI’mBlykesorryteacherI’mlate!” He pounds the words out as fast as possible and rushes to a free seat next to Jasper @Dumb1And1Lazy. This particular Jasper didn’t seem very comfortable. Blyke brushed it off as he sets his school supplies up.

Hafnir glanced out the window when Emily corrected him. He blinked for about a second, maybe even two. "...Damn." He said, then went right back to his sewing, fingers deftly moving along the incision. Hafnir gave a flick of his wrist, the ring on his finger hooking through the string and cutting it. Behind, he left machine-quality stitches on the newly-repaired bear.

"Welcome, Blyke." Hafnir said, unzipping his backpack and putting the bear in it. He then got up. He was just going to walk out of class now. "Good night." He said to Emily, nodding, before he just left. He was, in fact, heading for the library.

The arrival of even more creatures caused Jasper to freak out "Jesus mother of god I'm surrounded" shook in fear as the thought hit him. "They're everywhere, they're coming out the god damned woodwork. My supplies won't be able to cut it, I need a full-on goddamned kill team!". Never before had he had to deal with such a large number of supernaturals alone, the most he'd had to handle was a particularly nasty cult headed by a demon duke but never these many creatures and never in such a large variety when he was alone. Jasper needed to exfiltrate from this room and he needed to do it quickly, so he fell back into his training to come up with a clever lie "I'M NOT FEELING WELL! Tell the teacher I'm having family problems with my dog! He needs a new kidney!!!" he shouted to nobody in particular.

Grabbing his school bag, Jasper jumped out of the open window and landed with a roll before sprinting into the distance. One hand quickly took out his phone, then he typing furiously as he ran "Situation has gone from code white straight into red. Requesting reinforcements. One dozen count supernaturals, half unknown in arts and crafts class. Mobilize teams Guzman, Tavera and Escolano, Bring heavy weapons. Mobolize Archers 1 and 2 and Guardians 1 to 5 on standby for bombing runs. The situation is FUBAR! FUBAR!!!". Jasper hid behind a pillar where he trembled in fear as he waited for the bombs to drop.

Peter walked into the room just seconds after Jasper's breakdown "Howdy guys, nice to meet you all. I thought I was late but it looks like the teacher's not here yet.". He just took a seat in the middle, not really minding where he sat. As the young man got comfortable, he wondered where Jasper was since he was should have been here earlier than Peter until his phone started to buzz full of messages.

"///>>>Dervish Actual has elevated threat level to red.<<</// "
"///>>>Dervish Actual has requested Kill Squad Guzman on site, Tanner Actual Confirm YES/NO<<<///"
"///>>>Dervish Actual has requested Combat Squad Tavera on site, Tanner Actual Confirm YES/NO<<<///"
"///>>>Dervish Actual has requested Support Squad Escolano on site, Tanner Actual Confirm YES/NO<<<///"
"///>>>...<<<///

Peter swore inwardly "Well at least he hasn't gone on a rampage... probably.". Peter smiled at his classmates before talking "Whoops, looks like I gotta take this call. Just tell the teacher I'm coming in late or something. See you guys in a bit" He smiled before dipping out of the room. He started to call his support handler when he saw nobody nearby.

"This is Tanner Actual to Vigil Actual. Give me a rundown on the situation."
"I dunno man, you know how Jasper is. Must have started freaking out when too many freaks started showing up. High command REALLY messed up not having somebody watch him."
"God damn it Jasper, why the hell can't you just pretend to be normal for even an hour."
"Like you're one to talk, Pete. At least it's obvious Jasper's a weirdo, you totally give me the creeps you know that? I mean what the hell's up with your stupid smile?"
"Stow it Vigil, terminate those orders for backup and ordinance then send me Dervish Actual's coordinates."
"Stowing it and sending you the location agent psycho. Vigil actual out."

The Nephilim didn't go to class. Really, what use did the son of Hasmed have for Crafts and Pottery? Instead he was simply walking around campus, familarising himself with where everything was. At least u til he heard someone rambling about calling in some kind of strike force. Walking around the pillar so he could look at the person who had clearly lost it, on the first day no less. Needless to say, the Nephilim was not impressed. "Rough day?" Zienaknuen asked casually. "Come on, human. Call off whatever strike you ordered. This is bigger than you and your petty racism." The nephilim ordered. Of course it would be a human to start shooting at the sight of this many supernaturals. Not at all thinking about the nueanced politics of Supernatural Culture. Hell, if the Human really wanted this whole experiment to fail, there were much easier ways of doing it, that were much less overt. Turn the wolves against vamps. Play to the Fae's tendancies towards pranks, and make them a nuisance for everyone. Even demons could be pitted against each other with a little manipulation. However, as it always was, the Humans attacking everyone first. Well, maybe one good thing could come from this, it could unite the Supernatural world against the humans. Ending a mellenia old war.

Zee dropped his bag on the floor. "So, how is this gonna go? You calm down, and tell your little friends to stop the attack, and let the Church handel this. Or, I pummel you into the sidewalk until you can't stand. I would very muich prefer the first one, as violence is unbecoming. Have faith in the church to do what is right. Hell, get your superours to call the Vatican. They want this experiment to work. End eons of war. Don't stand in the way of greater good, because you can't see past race."

Emily, Jason, and Angel all gasped. The entire class would seemingly be in a frenzy. There were many frowns to go around. Alexander sighed and stood up.
"Excuse me, class. I am going to see what has happened with that student. I shall be right back."

Angel stood up.
"Can I come with....sir?"
She tried not to address him as her brother while she was in class and he was the teacher.

Alexander looked at Angel. He raised an eyebrow for a moment. He sighed.
"Very well, miss Angel. Just be careful."
He turned around and left the classroom with Angel following. They looked around.

Alexander soon spotted Zee @Sanity43217 and walked over to where they were. Angel used her wings.

Sasha was about to respond to Emily when the classroom burst into chaos. Was school supposed to be like this? Not that she minded a little mayhem, but she hadn't expected students to be entering and leaving the classroom so frequently, much less by jumping out the window. She chose to stay put despite the urge to follow everyone leaving and find out what exactly was going on. As the teacher left, Sasha looked around at the few students left in class. "What do we do now?" she asked them. @Vampiretwilight @BiffleChump @Kierankaos

Benji had sat silently observing as everyone entered and exited the room in various levels of panic. This was definitely the best first day at a new school he had experienced so far. Guess no one's gonna be taking attendance today, he thought to himself with a grin as he stood up from his chair. Shortly after the teacher had left the room, he made to leave as well, giving a playful salute to the remaining students. "Someone make a killer bowl for me." With that, he left the crafts and pottery classroom. He looked down the hallway and saw that a demon-looking guy was headed in the opposite direction the teacher had gone. Probably best to follow his lead.

Benji quickly caught up to the guy and began walking beside him. "Hey, mind if I join ya? Skipping class is a hobby of mine." He wore a devious smile, unafriad as he looked up at the supernatural creature. @Spike

Emily looked worried. She shrugged. She did not know what to do. She frowned and bit her lip.
"I...I don't know. I haven't been around this much chaos since my girlfriend dumped me last summer for a 'well experienced' hunter."
She took a breath. The vampire managed to keep herself calm. She hoped that the human was alright and that he was not going crazy or anything. The experiment would be scrapped and she'd never be able to go into the human world ever again. There would be no chance for her to have any human friends. That would be absolutely terrible, she thought. She looked at Sasha.
"are you alright?"
Emily showed some concern for the demon she just met.

Marcus couldn’t help feeling mildly surprised that the first person to spaz out in class was one of the mortals, but then realized that a human, xenophobic or not, would be getting a little nervous when surrounded by powerful supernatural creatures with the capability – if not the intention – of reducing him to a dark red stain or heap of ash with minimal effort.
An already unstable person would go over the edge all too easily... whose idea had it been to send him here?

Marcus had at least enough presence of mind to answer Sasha’s question: “- I think we should stick together and try to get along, so we have someone we can trust when… unexpected... scenes like these happen. It would be pretty pathetic if the grand experiment meant for peace and tolerance had to end because of some incident happening on the first day.” He twiddled his fingers a little nervously at his last words.

He did not openly state his last thought: an openly loony person would at least be easier to avoid than someone who was crazy in secret.
He felt tempted to dream-read the boy when next night comes, but decided against it; some people’s minds could be dangerous to contact.
At least nobody else had shown any signs of insanity or really boorish manners thus far, though it was clear not all students took the classes as seriously.
